I got drawn into Ender Lilies due to its music, due to this when I saw the game was available on ps4, i inmediatly bought it. Shortly after, I was mesmerized by the beautiful art direction, deep music, and fast combat. This game is the best metroidvania i've ever played. The combat is fast and responsive, the difficulty is perfect, the soundtrack is flawless, and the leveling systems are completely understandable. I love that the map tells you if there are unexplored routes, and if you have completed the area. I overall love this game, its design, its music, and its characters. The story is really good too! I 100% recommend this game to anyone that likes metroidvanias. Expand

I was curious about all those enthusiastic comments so i bought it. Ofc they're fake, what was i thinking. It's one of those modern indies, generally crowdfunded all platforms scams, that show you some pretty graphics and sellable ideas but fail at the most basic gameplay. That's what Ender lillies is, a minimalistic 'check boxes for metroidvania' without any soul ou passion. Combat isI was curious about all those enthusiastic comments so i bought it. That's what Ender lillies is, a minimalistic 'check boxes for metroidvania' without any soul ou passion. Combat is lacking, a lousy short dodge, no block, no equipment. Difficulty based on those same defective mechanics, enemies shoot homing missiles you can't block, bosses do aoe attacks you can't dodge out of. Minimalistic level up, 1-2 attack points per levelup. The 'infamous' music (5 piano notes) quickly gets on the nerves and is to be removed. Basically tedious antifun crap, unless you're on a quest to play ALL metroidvanias Expand

When you die, you’re sent back to the last rest point without penalty. The game still offers some customisation in its combat, but its approach is simplified. The lack of a deep combat system might be a turn-off to those looking for a challenge, but we applaud the devs for allowing more players to get through it – which is more than can be said of some of its inspirations. Tying everything together is an art style that, once again, makes Ender Lilies easy to get into. It certainly features grotesque creatures, but its balance of beauty and horror is a highlight and one of the game’s best aspects. [Issue#5, p.77]

Despite some difficulty spikes, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is one of the best metroidvanias I've played in years, with gorgeous visuals, remarkable atmosphere, and amazing soundtrack.

Ender Lilies is a wonderful experience and an essential if you like this type of proposal. A superb level design packed with memorable moments is finally here after a long period of Early Access, and it hasn't disappointed.
