Nov 13, 2016Earth’s Dawn has the genuine feel of being developed by people that have played other similar games in the genre and have established the groundwork for a successful action RPG. Unfortunately, their execution fails to hit the mark in a number of instances that quickly add up to work against it. Perhaps by drawing too much inspiration from the likes of Odin Sphere, Earth’s Dawn ran the risk of riding the success of the recent Leifthrasir instead of being celebrated as a unique infusion of genres.

Oct 28, 2016Even though it offers a great customization system and frenetic pacing, its repetitive story mode, which is full of bland and clunky combats and performance hiccups, makes Earth's Dawn fall behind the best games in the genre.

CD-ActionJan 13, 2017A fast action game that looks great and is very satisfying in small doses but in long term annoyed me with repetitiveness and wore me down with grind. And where’s the co-op?! [01/2017, p.52]

Nov 13, 2016It's a shame its design makes it monotonous after a few hours, because it's a great idea with a solid gameplay. It is a good game, but has some execution flaws.
-
Nov 6, 2016Repetitive gameplay is the only thing holding back Earth’s Dawn but it is a pretty major part of the equation. The missions reward you well and it always feels like you’re making progress, but the lack of variety may be a deal breaker for some.

Nov 4, 2016Earth’s Dawn is the perfect example of a videogame with good ideas. It is entertaining, however, it does not achieve the goal of becoming a big installment in the genre. It is good, but not great.
-
Oct 26, 2016There is plenty to like about the combat in Earth’s Dawn, but the game doesn’t manage to reach its full potential. A boring story gives players very little reason to care about what they are doing or reason to progress, and the game ultimately becomes monotonous due to this. Those who enjoyed Odin Sphere will find an intriguing game here, just one that isn’t nearly as special or polished.
-
Nov 15, 2016Interesting but repetitive action/adventure that could have been much better with a little bit of imagination on its missions and combat system.
-
Nov 1, 2016The foundations of a fast-paced and well worked action RPG are alive and well in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, but Earth's Dawn is let down by repetition and difficulty spikes.
