    This game is an absolute disaster. Compared to UFC 3, they ruined everything instead of improving. Ground game sucks, what the fu** is ground and pound. They made BJJ seem like **** And these red graphic when getting hit is seriously ruining the game. This game is not for kids, we don’t need fancy red background, it’s distracting as hell!     Alot of bugs and issues, at least in my playthroughs. From visual (not a huge deal like the post fight replay in career) and the game not being able to recognise title fights sometimes to game breaking grappling bugs that will either prevent you or your opponent from moving because you are locked in place with spaghetti arms and legs and hits that clearly connect not registering along withAlot of bugs and issues, at least in my playthroughs. They scrapped ultimate team but in its place you now have the option to pay for emotes and post fight animations many of which are copied and pasted from UFC3. Yet another missed opportunity all because a group of suits with their brains on backwards are allowed to influence creative decisions in order to inject their dose of fun poison… Expand

    Changed the system completely from the last one and it just doesn’t work, the game seems alien and is very inconsistent, you can’t choose your own weight class in ranked matches which is just weird and very annoying, match making is beyond bad, compared to UFC 3 this is levels below it.

    Enough said by anyone else. This is a poor excuse for a "sequel." It's legit the same game, with DC as an announcer. EA used to be my favorite game studio. From Madden, NBA Live, Battlefield, Need for Speed, among many others. All these franchises are trash now.

    They didn't even try!!!! You'd think you're going to at least get new roster right? Apart from a hand full of guys its a copy paste of the roster from last year. Exact same.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sorry if this seems extreme but I'm so frustrated that you can't change the fight kits that I have to give this game a 1. I can't. The abuse from these huge companies the deeper we get into the future is just agregious. Not gonna buy it until they do something about changing kits in every mode I don't care how picky that sounds it is absolutely annoying to see every single fighter wear the same color kit all the time. Every other game allowed it and doesn't make sense. Lots of missing fighters especially those within top 15 of weight class's. I don't expect Khamzat that quickly but not even Amanda Ribas or Vicente Luke?? They've been involved for some time and in big fights. All Women's weight classes virtually empty. Graphics definitely took a hit and many player models look OFF. SAM ALVEY THE WORST! Cody Garbrahnt 2nd worst. UFC 3 models look perfect in comparison. I do like making your own fight card and presence of titles on roster and tournament mode with all the different options (Though I haven't actually played those modes yet) Fighting itself seems like it hasn't changed much and tbh kinda worse and frustrating to get a flurry combo going like with Masvidal. Really slow. But no way this game gets my money or time until they at least allow you to change Kits for everyone including customization. Can we get some more arenas? It's 2020 supposedly we are in "next gen"? Disappointing trial weekend. was looking forward to upgrading as a fight fan but no way EA..… Expand

    I miss UFC Undisputed 3, that game was a 100 times better than any of these abominations that EA have released. I hate that EA has a monopoly on sports as they don't make very good games.

But if the EA wanted to continue the nice and realistic MMA game then the UFC 4 definitely not that game.

    Thats a 0 at first the career mode looked good with a story and life into it but it started to become really bland and repetitive even the hardest mode is a walk in the park.
    I didnt play much online cause the servers are always out it says im offline for wathever reason.
    Oh yeah and i spent 50 bucks on it

Why when i thrown more strikes in the head of my opponent and he almost always thrown strikes in the air or in my block we have almost the same head health?     The absolute worst game to ever be released by a triple A company. They actually managed to hard copy the previous release and still make it worse. Striking feels horrible. The new clinch system is abusable and game breaking. They haven't bothered fixing it since release. Ground game feels dumbed down and robotic.     Save your money. Long time ufc game player. It's the worst one by far. Takedown defense requires precognition. You can't use your created fighter in any mode except career. I went back to ufc3

    I made a metacritic account just to review this game. IT’S SOOOO BAD. Absolutely the worst game EA has ever made. It’s terrible. I don’t even know where to begin. And this isn’t even about the online play. This is about the gameplay as a WHOLE. For example, I’ve landed a CLEAN head kick, watched my opponent eat it, but their HUD says it was blocked. I’ve been taken down without the AI evenI made a metacritic account just to review this game. IT’S SOOOO BAD. Absolutely the worst game EA has ever made. It’s terrible. I don’t even know where to begin. And this isn’t even about the online play. This is about the gameplay as a WHOLE. They magically teleport to my legs, the characters freeze and then teleport to the mat and I’m on my back. All of that can happen while your opponent wears a lion costume....just the worst. Oh and the AI can take 10 uppercuts from Francis Ngannou and be totally fine. The damage system is broken.… Expand

    Striking is slow stuck in the mud and doesn't flow. The grappling is broken, it tries to be simple but is needlessly complicated in some areas. For instance to block body knees in the clinch it's RT+LT however when against the cage it changes to lest stick towards opponent underhill to block knees

    I just not going to buy anymore ea games so much for sports games guess am will just have to wait for a few years to play a sports game again this sucks why are there only ea and 2k sports games why not just pay the nba NFL nhl baseball ufc a 10% on each copy sold and be more people making sports games

    I think this game is good.If you play thru the career mode you can unlock all of the locked characters.I also like how you have more control over the training.I’m not saying the game is perfect but its not as bad as people say . Sure the animations are bad . The knockout look fake ,but its still a fun game.

    In spite of sporadic issues with the controls and the monetization model, UFC 4 is a great fighter, even if one bases it solely on the expansive career mode. As I currently celebrate my first championship title and defending it, I wholeheartedly recommend this one, not only to fans of the sport, but to anyone looking for their next fighting game fix.
