    UFC 2 is allot of fun but that damn submission system is bad, i understand exactly how to do the submissions but it is really difficult to fend off the opponents attempts at breaking the hold with the right stick and tightening the hold at exactly the right time with the left stick, I feel that if the left stick was used to fend off the opponent and the right stick was used to lock in theUFC 2 is allot of fun but that damn submission system is bad, i understand exactly how to do the submissions but it is really difficult to fend off the opponents attempts at breaking the hold with the right stick and tightening the hold at exactly the right time with the left stick, I feel that if the left stick was used to fend off the opponent and the right stick was used to lock in the submission it would feel much better after all my years of gaming my right thumb is the precision finger it. just feels backwards flicking the left stick at the right moment and location makes it really difficult if i can change the control scheme that might also work. is anybody else finding the submission game uncomfortable? I personally give this game an 8.0 even with the backwards feeling submission system the knockouts are Epic character models gradual bruising and open cuts gushing blood is fantastic the create a fighter system is great you can render a good model of yourself if you put the time in. my character has all my real life tattoos. i would recommend to any fight game fan. plus Mike Tyson Bruce Lee cm punk… Expand

    The most realistic depiction of MMA to date. strategical striking and wrestling is really fun this time around. the game modes are very fun and engaging. plenty of hours can be put in with memorable fights

    Its really the next step! Better graphics, better animation, better physics! You have to improve the Game Face tech, especially in the female fighter creation. gj THX!

    Four problems with this game:
    1. Career mode needs more depth
    2. Ultimate needs to be either revamped or replaced with other fun game modes 3. The Reebok sponsorship with UFC ruins customizations of fighters attire (not EA's fault actually, they have to follow the contract between Reebok and UFC) 4. The challenges of prominent fighters in career mode are ruthless. How is it fair that    Four problems with this game:

    4. The challenges of prominent fighters in career mode are ruthless. How is it fair that an up and coming prospect goes against for instant Donald Cerrone eight fights into there career (In career mode my fighter who is a 75 received a challenge from cowboy who is a 94).

    Get these problems fixed and then its a nine.

    Other than that this game is fun and I believe a step up from UFC 1. The gameplay is nice and you do have to use strategy in fights if you play with adaptive A.I. as the fights do become difficult.    … Expand

    Best MMA game ever! 5 new game modes and 250 fighters...amazing. I love that EA has added some of fighting's all-time Legends; Mike Tyson, Bas Rutten, Sakuraba, Bruce Lee. UFC Ultimate Team is also a nice addition...as you can earn everything - simply by playing.

    Not only a great improvement over the original but also includes a mode which reminds me of Xbox 360 classic Fight Night Round 3. Knockout Mode removes the ground and clinch games, leaving only striking, and its rules are simple: punch the other person until their head separates from their shoulders like a big flesh balloon.

    this game is fantastic.. gameplay is great.. graphic is best looking ever i seen. fighter model, their animations and their likeness look realistic. commentary is great.. Knockout Mode is fun mode to play. AI cpu is smarter. Great job by EA Canada. i expect EA devs do better on UFC 3 in 2018 when it come out : improve gameplay, Revamp Career Mode

    Lovely, refined, and not nearly as much of a mess as the last game. Not nearly as buggy as UFC 1, and the striking feels more weighted, the grappling is streamlined and the knockouts are HILARIOUS.

    The only two problems I have are the lack of character to the career, overpowered double-collar knees (haha, bias), and the grappling defense is **** rough.

    Having a TON of fun on this game!

    A blast! Much better then one. Still some bugs need to be straightened out and some movements look robotic But great Fun, and major improvement in loading times

    Huge leap from the first one. The graphics are wicked! and Knockout mode... oooohhh damn that knockout mode, absolutely amazing, so much fun! and getting to fight with Mike Tyson! so good! The new ground/clinch controls are much better this time around as well, and the addition of Ultimate Team is really fun... Definitely the Best MMA Game EVER! Nice one EA!

    Good game.But PLS note:
    Still don't like submission system.
    Difficulty levels not so adequate.Even on beginner my fighter losing in 60 % if fights.
    Big John McCarthy, how can you not have him? only seeing him makes everything awesome !!!

    I have no idea how people are giving this a 6 or less. What MMA game are they comparing it to? Yes I absolutely loved Undisputed 3, and yes this game is still lacking a couple fundamentals of the sport, but in contrast to the launch of EA's last UFC outing this is an amazing treat.

    I may finally be able to finally put away the 360 and PS3. That said, I really do think they need to at    I have no idea how people are giving this a 6 or less.     UFC 2 is one of my favorite games ever, the gameplay is great the online part of the game descent

    But here is the real part of the review if you're going for platinum UFC 2 you will find it very easy because the trophies are easy/medium level you get most of them by play the game casually, i would say the hardest trophy is the 'making bank' you have to get 100k coins in the games    UFC 2 is one of my favorite games ever, the gameplay is great the online part of the game descent

    Wow, what a fun game!
    The first EA UFC game was cool but it wasn't excellent, EA sports does some really lazy games, like FIFA and NFL, but this game is a giant upgrade from the first one, it has more fighters, it has a great combat system and overall, lot's of upgrades.
    Congrats EA, you did something good.

    UFC 2 has amazing graphics, and the lifelike fighters makes every knockout feel great. The game is hard initially, but after you get into the sway of things it gets easier. UFC brings a fun career mode, but could probably have done it better with more media interactions, since after you get the belt it get's very repetitive.

    Love this game. graphics 9, sound 10, mechanics 8, Story 5 (Career Mode), Ultimate Team 9 (fun), Live event 8 for now content still coming, character creation 9 (hope for trunk mods then a 10). it even has a knock out mode no grappling. Been playing for two weeks straight love it.

    Ok, let's start off by saying this game is far from perfect. But as a massive mma fan I enjoyed it a lot.

    The striking is excellent as usual but something must be done about the groundgame for ea ufc 3. For me, the previous quarter circle, advancing position system worked much better than this wait-for-a-box-to-pick-a-position debacle they went with this year. What also needs work is    Ok, let's start off by saying this game is far from perfect. But as a massive mma fan I enjoyed it a lot.

    What also needs work is the unique fighters' styles of throwing punches, kicks etc. I know it's difficult with such a large roster but some of them have the exactly the same moves which gives it a little bit of a copy-paste vibe at times, which is sad as so many of these fighters are very different individuals with varying skillsets.

    However, like I said I enjoyed the game a lot despite it's flaws. Landing a ko shot with a flying knee or pefectly timed superman puch is a brilliantly satisfying experience and the difrerent modes on offer (particularly live events) has seen me dip into this game regularly.

    Also, there's nothing quite like going against your most disliked fighter and just beating the living snot out of them. Even if a real event doesn't play out to your satisfaction, digitally recreating it so it ends how you want is great fun, even if if some may have to lower the difficulty at first to achieve their desired outcome.

    It's great that the developers of EA Sports UFC 2 had a serious work on the game, not just improved graphics, controls and combat model in comparison with the first part, but adds a fascinating Ultimate Team! For Bruce and Mike a special thank you!

    I’m glad the developers decided to introduce some substantial changes, especially that improvements were made where they were really needed. Controls are much more intuitive and the whole grappling system was redesigned. If you’re looking for a realistic fighting game, pick up UFC 2. [05/2016, p.66]
