Haters will forever hate the series, and this game doesn’t do anything to change that, as it’s after its fans, and for those fans, you’re going to love Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition, as it jammed with hours upon hours of content that once again improves on the series’ formula and pushes it towards its prime.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends has the 30+ hours of the original and adds even more to it. Sure, it has some mindless game play at times, but it’s still a rather fun time.

Without question the biggest, best looking, and most refined Warriors title on the battlefield, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is an absolute must buy for fans, while newcomers will find themselves jumping into the action at the most opportune time.

Simply speaking, what you’re getting here is a good, polished expansion to an already good game that was absolutely bursting with content to begin with.

Not much has changed, but the consistency of the Dynasty Warriors franchise holds true in spades with Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition. Extra content and a lower new-game cost accentuates a gratifying experience that's filled with content that Dynasty Warriors fans have grown to love.

It's a great way to reincentivize the most enjoyable Warriors game since DW3, and it looks suitably pretty to boot.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends - Complete Edition has so much to offer and so much to do that it’s difficult not to enjoy yourself.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is a great buy if you haven’t played a game in the series in a while, and are looking for something to hold you over while you wait for the PS4’s library of games to grow, but for fans, this is not the next generation leap forward that you were hoping for.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is complete by name and complete by nature, with lots of extra content to explore. Technically, however, it is an extremely bland debut of the series on PlayStation 4.

If you haven't played a Dynasty Warriors game in a long while, picking up Xtreme Legends on your shiny new PS4 isn't a bad idea. It doesn't offer up anything mind-blowing that demands the attention of casual fans, but as a complete package it's a wonderful entry point.

The added content is not a reason to repurchase this game if you've already played it, but if you don't, it's a great opportunity to do so.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is the warm arrival of the musou genre on Playstation 4, since the game doesn't make use of the hardware's full potential, and has the same visuals lacking from the Playstation 3.

The jump to a new console hasn't done all that much for visuals in general, but the game is undoubtedly neater and smoother than it once was. [Issue#148, p.115]

No, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition is not a deeply cerebral experience, but in its defence, it never purports to be. If you're not a fan of chopping stuff up, DW8 is unlikely to change your mind but if you enjoy a little hack 'n slash every now and then, you could do a lot worse than Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition. Unless you already have the original Dynasty Warriors 8 version, of course. In which case you're probably better off hanging onto your cash.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends is exactly what we expected from an extended version of the last episode in the series: some new characters, a new campaign and a few minor changes to the gameplay.

If you go into Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition knowing that it’s just a slightly better looking port, you’ll have a blast with its addictive mindless button mashing mechanics.

If you’re eyeing up the PlayStation 3 version of Xtreme Legends then I can’t strongly recommend it. New characters are always great, as are new stages, but the lack of thought put into the addition to Ambition Mode is disappointing to say the least.

This Next-Gen version of the last Tecmo-Koei's musou adds few scenarios and game modes, and shows a crisper graphics. But it doesn't change the substance of the game.

This Edition is probably the best package you can expect from musou genre. Although the game has a lot of contents, the formula is the same, and the technical upgrade is far from the excellence.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends is best suited for newcomers to the franchise. If you keep your expectations reasonable before you jump in, then you can easily enjoy yourself.

You really don’t want to pick this up if you already picked up the original.

Maybe Tecmo Koei should rethink the core design in the next game as, at this point, they are getting stale.

Even if it's just a port, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition deserved more. We could talk about enhanced visuals but the game is really far from beautiful. The battles are dynamic and the cast is huge. But it's not enough to see it as a gathering episode.
