Oct 24, 2020For DLC it is anything but weak but yet it is exhausting. Doom Eternal really puts the eternal into the game. The endless hordes and your doomguy dying a thousands times gives it a never ending feeling. Good ending to part one but felt like I might need a new controller by the end of the game.

Oct 24, 2020Loved the base game, finished it few times. Was waiting eagerly for this continuation.
Now that I've finally touched it, I'm truly disappointed. It proposes a minimal content maximally packed with the endless waves of the same old enemies, which quickly becomes rather exhausting than fun.
Overall feels like a cheap quantity over quality product. -

Jan 23, 2021The game turned from being an action fun game to being a game that just wants to frustrate you and make you feel you’re not smart enough to “get it”.

Playstation Official Magazine UKNov 15, 2020With three new enemy types and one (very challenging) boss in the mix, as well as three new perks to earn by completing the optional Slayer Gater challenges, it’s a familiar yet distinct experience. But it’s still best to play through Doom Eternal before trying this. [Issue#182, p.155]

Nov 12, 2020Doom Eternal's first expansion, The Ancient Gods — Part One, stumbles in a few areas, but it's ultimately a damn good addition to the foundation laid earlier this year. All said it's a ripping good time despite its blemishes.
