    A great game inferior to the first game but still amazing fasesa that let you exercise your creativity freely to achieve your goals the way you want.
    an interesting desing of the city of karnaka that seems alive.

    The only downside of the game is the shallow story with little charisma compared to the first.

    Although I wish it were much longer, and there aren't many locations to explore, making the game feel significantly smaller than its predecessor, "Dishonored 2" is a great sequel that builds on the mythology and has a very good story. The gameplay is a ton of fun, and I loved playing it.     It is pretty similar to the original gameplay wise. Story is good, although it could have been better. Atmosphere, level design and gameplay are excellent.

    Incredible art direction as well as level design. Stays true to the first game in all aspects which is a good thing. With may different ways to play there is defiantly re-play ability.

    Its really a brilliant, the perfect game in all aspects. Better then first part,atmosphere is a great,stealth is perfect, 10 times better than in new "Assassins creed" I give 10/10, one of the best game for me.

    Dishonored 2 was a great sequel to the unforgettable experience in Dishonored 1. The developers added so many awesome game mechanics that are really fun. To me, none of it seemed redundant or pointless. Everything was effective in the right situation. The map design in each level allows for extensive experimentation, and it also rewards you with bonuses for exploring to nonessential areas.Dishonored 2 was a great sequel to the unforgettable experience in Dishonored 1.     There are basically two ways you can play this game and I'm pretty sure you're gonna have fun with either, especially if you enjoyed the first one. The plot is kind of simple, and it works, but this game's looks are pretty amazing.

    Dishonored 2, much like the first one, is a steampunk blessing.

Yo me compro los juegos en físico normalmente de segunda mano para poder revenderlos, ya que juego mucho y si no me dejaría un montón de dinero. Así que busqué por las estanterías y me encontré este juego por 20 €.Una muy grata sorpresa.     Antes de comprarlo, sólo sabía lo que había visto en los anuncios de la tele. Me pareció un AAA de acción y al verlo tan rebajado me lo acabé comprando porque pensé que me lo jugaría una vez y lo revenderia. Nada más lejos de la realidad. Es un juego de sigilo (mi género favorito) muy original y que me ha encantado. Me lo he pasado tres veces y pienso pasármelo una cuarta, ya que no voy a venderlo porque es uno de mis 3 juegos favoritos de PS4. Toda una sorpresa!.
    No había jugado nunca a un juego de sigilo en primera persona. Sin los poderes sería imposible, pero con ellos se puede planear estrategias y se gana en inmersión.
    El diseño de niveles es espectacular. Mención especial para la mansión mecánica, uno de los mejores niveles que he jugado en mi vida. Historia de los videojuegos en mi humilde opinión. También muy reseñable el nivel de la máquina del tiempo. Supongo que ya lo habrán hecho otros juegos antes, pero yo es la primera vez que juego un nivel así y me ha parecido espectacular.
    También está muy bien el dibujado y estilo del mundo y de los personajes. Muy original y además está bien que cambien algunas cinemáticas por comics. Supongo que les ahorrará costes pero queda muy bien y con mucho estilo. Ahora que se dice que los AAA son muy caros y que tienen mucho riesgo de no recuperar la inversión, que recorren en esas cinemáticas no me parece mal.
    En resumen es un juego de sigilo que funciona de maravilla y que sólo tiene algunas pegas. Para mí la más importante es que el sistema de lucha cuerpo a cuerpo es confuso y está mal hecho.
    Por otra parte he leído que se le achaca que es muy similar al primero. Yo no lo jugué así que este me ha parecido un juegazo. Totalmente recomendado!    … Expand

    A wonderful continuation of the first game. I love that you can play either corvo or emily, with both having unique powers. New and fun ways to transverse the world, and see how the world has developed after the rat plague. The biggest complaint is that the villain is completely forgettable and uninteresting.

    Estava indeciso entre o 7 e o 8 mas dei 8 porque é muito parecido com o primeiro jogo e o primeiro era mesmo muito bom. Contudo, se a formula continuar igual no próximo jogo a pontuação vai diminuir. O próximo tem que melhorar em muitos aspectos. Ainda assim, bom jogo.

    Game of the generation for me. (Reviev before GoT and Cyberpunk). Excellent gameplay, good story. If you are looking for jaw droping graphics, it is not a game for you.

    Support this game. It's fantastic. For fans of deus ex, bioshock, and half life. A huge breath of fresh air for those looking for that unique experience. So much choice in how you complete missions.

    After the bug fixes with a patch this sequel exceeds the original in every aspect.Better graphics,gamplay and story along with 2 completely different playable protaganists give Dishonered 2 more replay value then almost every triple A title this year.And this time around I didnt feel pushed to play the game in any specific way.I felt that playing stealthily was alot more rewarding then theAfter the bug fixes with a patch this sequel exceeds the original in every aspect.Better graphics,gamplay and story along with 2 completely different playable protaganists give Dishonered 2 more replay value then almost every triple A title this year.And this time around I didnt feel pushed to play the game in any specific way.I felt that playing stealthily was alot more rewarding then the first entry but i never felt that i was playing wrong or was being punished when i played a full on assault playthrough.Also there are several ending for every playstyle for both characters which really drive you toward a second,third or even forth playthrough and in all the chaos or silence of each level,even on my forth run,I reimagined every situation and experienced different outcomes every single time.Dishonored 2 also contains some of the best level design I have ever seen with the likes of the amazing and masterfully thought out Clockwork Mansion level being among my all time favorites.Dishonored 2 truly is a masterpiece in almost every ascpect!!!     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a huge fan of the original game. Have played it over hundred times (Not metaphorically), but I'm a realist and some kind of developer myself so I can't ignore a flaw when I see one.

    I will start with a look of course. Graphically game is amazing. I never doubt it would be so. I played game on PS4 and it's very good there. Still some performance issues, but very little. It's surely better than in original game, but it would be strange if it wouldn't be.

    Gameplay have also become much more interesting. I wished in first game there was more ways to neutralize enemies without killing and second game did provide. I wished there was more freedom and second provided me with this too. I didn't get much into Emily's abilities tho. Her "blink" when fully upgraded is a great tool for fun. Especially when used with domino. Throw multiple enemies into you - that's fun. I play this game in second time now as Corvo and it feels cooler. Blend time, possession...it never gets old.

    But then there's a story. Which is also good, but...is it just as good as original game?
    You may think original game's story also was predictable, but dishonored 2 has nothing to predict. It's just like a corridor. You've been thrown off your throne and now you must take it back by eliminating all these people. Done? Congrats. You've completed the game. Really? I thought there would be something... anything! Couldn't they add more personages? Why it's a ship without a crew? Or this captain can do all on his own with one f***ing arm and eye? Wouldn't we like to see there more people with their interests in what we're doing? With their own story and quests?
    There was a butler and two maids of sort in the first game.
    I think our ship in Dishonored 2 is a poor thing.

    I would like to see huge crew and some mutineer in it. Someone who would be on his own mind, too smart to blindly follow orders, he'd betray protagonist and his friends, give up ship to soldiers or Delilah because protagonist doing dark **** If game was at low chaos there would be only soldiers against you on the ship and man from the crew that ain't gave up would be captured, but if high chaos most man would be persuaded by mutineer to go against you and one that don't would be killed. That's cool right? Not a great twist, a bit self repeating, but it's already something.

    Also Duke knew Sokolov was on this ship why he haven't inspected it when strange things started to occur and everybody searched for our hero? He can't be that stupid.

    And then there's an end. Where Outsider shows you what you've done and it's so...so short and plain? I think outsider lost not the voice only in sequel, but all his magic of speech with it. Listening what you have done in original game was something. It could touch very fabric of your soul or is it what "Honor for All" does?

    Game is great anyway. Graphic is wonderful. Gameplay is amazing. Story is good.
    It's still a game to spend months playing same levels over and over again. Wait...where's "Missions" from the first game?!!

Go back to whatever bland, hand-holding crap you like and leave Dishonored 2 to people who can appreciate it.

    My one con on the game is the story, it's not terrible, but it just doesn't deliver. It's a pretty straight-forward revenge story. But I think it's safe to say Arkane was more focused on the gameplay and the world.

    Also, apologies to PC players, but the PS4 version is not buggy at all.    … Expand

    Outstanding stealth/action game that hits all the right notes. Great gameplay with superb controls coupled with an interesting and engaging story gives you one of the best games of 2016. If you have not picked this up yet, you are missing out.

    I loved the first game cause of its story and well design, the way players could make their own custom routes around levels. The sequel refines all of this and makes it better also with more content such as 2 playable characters flesh and steel and overall story.

Now, onto the review.

    The first Dishonored is my favorite game of all time. Obviously, I was anxious for the day to come where I could reprise my role as Royal Protector Corvo Attano, or I could possess the role of Empress Emily Kaldwin, who has a slew of new abilities. As of now, I am around 10 hours into my playthrough as Emily and I must say that this is exactly what I expected from this sequel. Of course, there are multiple ways of reaching your target and also multiple ways to take down your target. Each power now has a more in-depth upgrade tree in which you can allow Corvo's Blink to be redirective, as Daud's was in the Knife of Dunwall and the Brigmore Witches, or you can upgrade Emily's Doppleganger ability to create copies of yourself that will fight for you.

    A new feature that I was very excited for was Bonecharm Crafting. This works by sacrificing a bone charm's trait so that you will be able to create a single bone charm with multiple traits taken from a sacrificed charm. You can create a single charm with two, three, or four traits, however, corrupted charms have made a reappearance from Daud's DLC. The more traits you add onto a crafted bone charm, the more likely it will be come corrupted and apply a negative attribute along with the traits you applied to it.

    I don't know much about graphics, but I can tell you that this game's graphics are outstanding. I will occasionally stop and stare at the scenery, which will sometimes appear as a beautiful painting. The art style has remained the same and it helps with its look that much more.

    There are new enemies, such as the Nest Keepers and the Clockwork Soldiers that will help gameplay from feeling repetitive. There are new faces, as well as old ones. There are new powers that can be heavily upgraded (if you can find the resources to do so), and old ones with new attributes to be added onto them. There's an entirely new system for bone charms that can be ignored if you do not care for corrupted charms. There are new places to explore, and there are old, but familiar ones that make this sequel feel that much more like Dishonored.

    This game has gotten a lot of criticism for its performance, but looking past this inconvenience, Dishonored 2 is yet another masterpiece created by the masterminds at Arkane Studios. In my opinion, Dishonored 2 is hands-down my Game of the Year and I would recommend this piece of art to each and every one of you.    … Expand

You have to be a moron to say this game is a 1, no it's not down to taste, even if you didn't like the game, you still have to appreciate the graphical value, the narrative value, and so on, regardless of what your taste is.

    Expertly created environments, a new fantastic set of powers, rich NPC dialogue, and memorable villains; Dishonored 2 takes what made the first game fun and improves on it in every way. You can sneak through and take hours on one level, finding every hidden nook and cranny. Or shoot, snipe, and dismember your way through, leaving a pile of bodies in your path. The choice is yours.

It looks great, plays like a dream, has some great story sequences and has some of the most satisfying stealth action I've played in quite a while. I'm still not a fan of looking for Ruins to upgrade your abilities and I do with there was some sort of mini-map to help you travel andI wasn't a big fan of the original Dishonored, but I was quite surprised with how Dishonored 2 turned out.     Mechanically, the game works great except a baffling llack of Mission Replay and New Game+. The game seems designed for New Game+, but it's missing. Also, the    Dishonored 2 masters the stealth-or-murder gameplay from the first. The graphics are taken up a notch and the controls are smooth as butter. The story and dialogue available on each level is amazing in its depth and richness.

    Mechanically, the game works great except a baffling llack of Mission Replay and New Game+. The game seems designed for New Game+, but it's missing. Also, the ending scene is jarringly lackluster. There is no final dialogue sequence between the characters - after you spent 20 hours or more uniting Corvo and Princess whatshername. What in the hell? These things seem to indicate the studio did not have enough time to complete the game, which would have otherwise been a timeless masterpiece in the vein of Bioshock. Hopefully they continue to polish the end game with free patches and DLC, both of which they have indicated they are going to do.

There's also quite a few technical hiccups, though mostly minor, a few are nasty. If you liked the first game and are a big fan of stealth games, I recommend it, butIt's a great game, but it falls a bit short of the glory the first game achieved in my opinion.     Dishonored 2 is just as good, if not better, than the first game. Level design is more complex and interesting, story missions are longer and more involved, the environments are dripping with atmosphere, and the gameplay -- some input lag aside -- is pitch perfect.

    This is the best pure stealth game this generation.

    If you are a fan of the original game or stealth games in general, then you owe it to yourself to pick up Dishonored 2. It improves on everything the original did, and adds new ways to play the game through the addition of a new playable character and stat tracking for each mission and playthrough as well as overall.     Better than the first.. There are so many improvements, with the core gameplay concept being the same. What worked the first time is still here with everything else being bigger and better. I love the freedom. There are very few games like Dishonored, it has hidden secrets in every nook and cranny of it's beautifully realized steampunk city.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Dishonoured 2 more than delivers on it's main selling point: more Dishonoured. If you haven't played the original Dishonoured-and please do, as it is another great game-the franchise is orientated around the first-person, stealth-action genre, in which you are given a ridiculous amount of freedom to approach a mission any way you want. In Dishonoured 2, this is even more so as the sprawling urban, steam-punk environments of Dunwall and Karnaca (both offering multiple routes to targets and different ways of accomplishing objectives), the expanded arsenal of lethal and non-lethal weaponry and gadgets, and the insane supernatural powers you character is capable of, all compound to cater to playstyles of all different types. Another new change to the formula, is how Dishonoured 2 gives the option of choosing between two different characters: Corvo Attano (the previous Dishonoured protagonist) and his daughter Empress Emily Kaldwin, with both having their own powers and bearings on the overall plot making the game well worth playing through at least twice. Despite being seemingly flawless, Dishonoured 2's story-although engaging and gripping at times-becomes slightly stale and disjointed in places (sometimes the writing and dialogue feel passable, when it should really be investing the player in the world they are fighting/sneaking through) but it is a real improvement from Dishonoured's average storyline, and does not at all hold back this stellar game in any capacity. Overall, Dishonoured 2 is breath of fresh air in this shooter dominated month and really sates the appetite of anyone hungry for the old days of Thief (not Thief 2014) or those in general who love stealth games (aller MGS or Deus Ex).     I did not enjoy the first dishonored so much. Just played it through. Now when I have the patience to try different kind of approaches it feels great. It's not a game to just play fastly through. You have to enjoy and play in a way that makes you comfortable. It's easy to complete the game without really putting effort to it, but when you do put effort and play it without hesitation, it'sI did not enjoy the first dishonored so much.     2. The game play is even more enjoyable than in the first game. As always, you have a lot of options to complete your objectives. I personally prefer a complete stealth (no blood, no see, sometimes even ghost-like), and I've enjoyed both my playthroughs (ATM) very much.
    3. Both protagonists are nicely voiced, and they both talk a lot. Since I'm a devoted Stephen Russell's fan since 1998, I personally prefer to hear Corvo's voice :).
    4. The world around you is alive. The Karnaca's street musicians sing *nice* songs, and the people around hear and applaud them. The City Watch cops whine about their cloths and boots, and even sing sometimes, too :). People at Karnaca's port are doing their own business: fishing, sawing, selling, discussing, looking for job. You can share a coin with beggars, and they can tell something useful in return. You can save an innocent people from the City Watch's tyranny, and they will thank you for this. Also, there is a time travel in the game, and you'll have to change something in the past to reach your goals in the present. My first playthrough took more than 60 hours - isn't that nice?

I chose to play as Emily and they really nailed the feeling of being "Dishonored" once more. I feel the actual vengeance in my heart, and a real desire to destroy Delilah. Gameplay has been improved, and Emily's powers are just different enough from Corvo without being too different. The first area without any powers was rough going, but once I got Far Reach (Blink equivalent) and Dark Vision I was having a blast again. Highly recommended… Expand

    Story - 15 years after the first one, the damsel in the first game, Emily Kaldwin, is now empress to Dunwall. A power struggle comes in to play as the antagonist Delilah steals the throne forcefully. The player in that moment gets to pick between Emily or Corvo. Between the two, as the player plays through the game, both characters give out a total different experience and point of view as they narrate their own thoughts of the events happening in the game. It gives a simple revenge story more depth with Emily understanding the world evolving around her or when Corvo tells his story on how the experiences he's been through.

    Graphics - The game retains its unique look and with better texutres and lighting, the game flourishes with atmosphere and oozes style. It's not groundbreaking graphics with the game having a few graphical glitches and mediocre explosions but the use of the motion blur from doing assassinations is in great use. The character models has a unique look to them with each npc to the main character. The animation is also great in the game with each attack the player hits on another enemy gives a very satisfying impact and the use of the powers given by the Outsider feels powers with a reality distortion feel.

    Gameplay - Dishonored 2 still retains its heavy based stealth gameplay with even more options to proceed through the levels. The level designs of the game also don't restrict the given use of the mix between powers and movement, giving even more variety to the game. One level especially as the player is given a time manipulation device that lets the player travel in between times in a mansion. And given with new ammo types and moves to subdue the players opponent, the game feels more fleshed out and more responsive.

    Dishonored 2 is another well-made game and a worthy successor to the first Dishonored. With a new environment to explore, new characters to see, and a responsive gameplay flow, Dishonored 2 is a buy for fans of the first. For new comers though, I would say wait for a sale or until the game patches in because I am having a terrible experience in loading in my own personal game saves as the game crashes everytime I load a save that I personally made myself unless it's an auto-save.    … Expand

    Story wise, Dishonored 2 excels in world building and immersion if you take the time to read every lore entry, speak to all NPCs, and piece together the information. If you decide not to do any of these, the main plot is pretty straightforward and simple to follow, not requiring much knowledge of the previous game or the current optional world lore. It allows you to tailor your own narrative experience. I highly recommend taking your time and just lose yourself in the beautiful world of Karnaca.

    Graphics are astounding! Hugely improved from Dishonored 1, with everything so intricately designed with a high level of detail. Character faces take on a unique artstyle that will stand the test of time, not going for realism like Uncharted or Horizon but instead a style unique to Arkane studios.

    Two specific missions sealed this game for me. You will be mindblown by the genius in design, creativity and innovation of these two levels. I was constantly saying in my head how I absolutely love this game when I was exploring and experiencing the crazy awesomeness of those two levels. I can't believe I missed this game in 2016. I regret not buying the Collector's Edition, that's how enamored and impressed I am by Dishonored 2 in 2018.

    If you love games like Bioshock and Deus Ex, play this NOW! Those 2 missions in Dishonoree 2, for me, surpassed anything from any FPS game I've ever played.

The art is just beautiful, the voice acting is superb (sometimes stilted), the powers are extremely creative and powerful. The level design is the best in the entire genre and the AI is very intelligent. Civilians challenge you if you are in a restricted area, guardsI was a big fan of the first dishonoured so when this was announced, I was already sold. And I don't regret a thing! The level design is the best in the entire genre and the AI is very intelligent. Civilians challenge you if you are in a restricted area, guards actively surround you and swing below your block. Hell they'll even get suspicious about a door you left carelessly open.

    Even so, it isn't without its issues.

    Firstly, I'm on PC and right now the performance is TERRIBLE! The frame rate so bad it easily gets me killed in combat or gets me spotted really easily. The game is shorter than the first (9 missions compared to 10) and while they are largely well crafted, a few more would have greatly helped. The bone charm crafting wasn't as in depth as I had first thought. No crafting of new bone charms, merely combining current traits into one bone charm. The lack of a mission selection screen feels incredibly wrong and the lack of a new game+ is disappointing.

    That big block of negativity may have you wonder why I gave this a 9 but really they are all nit picks of mine. The PC issue will be patched soon, the missions are well crafted and saves can easily take the place of mission selectors.

    Dishonoured 2 is easily one of the best games to come out this year which is a relief in an industry bloated with greedy money driven companies (I'm looking at you EA). Dishonoured 2 is a welcoming breath of fresh air. Just wait for the patch in PC first.    … Expand

    I felt let down on my first play through due to some frustrating performance issues and some tough missions. But really got the hang of the game in my 2nd play through with another character months later. Graphics feels dated and doesnt look like a PS4 game, Story is neat and gameplay freedom (multiple styles of approach) is the best thing in the game.

Karnaca has a fascinating southern European vibe. Playing as Corvo Attano means reliving the thrills and mood of the first game, but I think the plot is deeper and truer playing as Emily Kaldwin, dethroned empress because of witch Delilah's coup d'état, who, outside her throne, among the streets, will discover herself and achieve to inwardly grow and dominate her dimension, taking back what is hers. That said, I still think Dunwall and the first Dishonored's plot and mood have a special place in my heart.

    Dishonored 2 is mostly an iteration of the same brilliant gameplay from the first game. Similar verticality, similar combat, similar approach possibilities. You can play, as said, both as Corvo Attano and as Emily Kaldwin: there are no changes in physical abilities but in the powers they get from the god-like man, The Outsider. Corvo retains many of his powers from the previous game while Emily's powers are fun novelties, like "Domino" and "Shadow Walk". Bone Charms to enhance passive attributes and Runes to enhance powers return but with a change: they can be crafted. By sacrificing Bone Charms it's possible to extract passive attribute enhancements and get Raw Whalebone(s) to craft new personalized Bone Charms. The more complex a personalized Bone Charm is, the more passive attribute enhancements it incorporates but the more risk of corruption increases. Crafting Runes is similar but more expensive in Raw Whalebone and may be less convenient. In combat, Dishonored 2 also introduces non-lethal combat moves. Again, the stealth approach, with few deaths (Low Chaos), is encouraged but to explore all of Dishonored 2's approaches, High Chaos is required, which means many dead and being detected, which in turn, again, affects the ending of the game because the more corpses, the more proliferation of bloodflies (Serkonos' plague). Level design is generally great and some levels stand out, as the always mutating, labyrinthian and fascinating Clockwork Mansion, or Stilton Manor with time travel using the Timepiece artifact; both allow cool gameplay things to be done.

    In stealth, darkness still offers shelter only at a certain distance and I still find this gameplay approach to be mostly bad. I think Clockwork Soldiers are unbalanced as it's not fair they see even from behind. Also, optional or not, I think a run without powers (which I did) it's impossible to be done wholly stealthily and further refined game design would have fixed this issue. I would say enemy AI still has some issues but got better.

    Dishonored 2 is, of course, graphically nicer than the first game, but to tell the truth it's simply not as bad as the first at the time of its release was, quite the contrary. Again, its art style impacted but positively this time. The audio and music component of the game is of great quality.

    Dishonored 2 is a sequel that lived up to expectations, at least for me. If I had to choose, I would probably choose the first Dishonored, because that's where raw feelings are. But Dishonored 2 it's brilliant, deep, and intriguing, even if not without flaws. A video game that Dishonored fans will love.    … Expand

    When they say you can play your own way they meant it. I cannot stop playing this game and always go back to it. You can play as either Corvo or Emily and both have their own supernatural abilities so playing both is refreshing. The graphics are perfect and fit in with the style of the game. No performance issues on PS4 and it runs extremely well. If I could give this game a higher score IWhen they say you can play your own way they meant it.     Overall, Dishonored 2 makes major improvements on what the first game did and makes what made that game great even better. This really is a fantastic game that should be played by both those who enjoyed Dishonored 1 and those who love great sandbox games.

    Level designs are absolutely top notch allowing for both powered & unpowered traversal of the map, densely packed with alternate routes and hidden treasures. Without getting into spoilers, some of the levels are absolutely fascinating with their unique aspects (shifting level design, multiple factions, natural phenomena that influence perception).

    The addition on an entirely new playable character with unique abilities adds a whole depth of replayability. The powers are interesting and diverse, and better balanced and allow for more engaging non-lethal gameplay with Mesmerize and Domino. The additional enemy types test your full repertoire and have unique combat patterns and ways to approach handling them.

    Just as good as the original. It's a must play for stealth fans, but it also allows you to play aggressively, if you prefer that style. Solid story, amazing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

    If you've played Dishonored, it's more of the same. Emily offers a new host of powers, but I prefer Corvo's. They're more fun and intuitive.

    I have bought this game just because i saw the ability to stop time. i can say that i finished the game almost twice, and it is very enjoyable. not just because of that. the gameplay feels good and the graphics are amazing for the year this game was made. love it
