I am sorry but I don't get it. I am just sorry maybe if they do a 5th game that actually updates the game to play better than this I will give this franchise another chance but for now avoid this collection and play something like baynonetta if you want a hack and slash game that actual plays well. All of these games are enjoyable, with DMC2 being controversial. However these remakes are an insult to our PS4s. The graphics have barely changed, and in some places are worse. This is more of a port than a remaster.

On a side note I do hope they eschew the punishing combo system in future iterations.

Avoid. Stick to the PS2 versions.

The most overrated hack and slash franchise is back with their well known awful combo mechanics.

Capcom's old demons are back and are giving us a weak and technically outdated port of a 2012 port, which at the time already featured three PlayStation 2 games.

The games are still relatively competently made and the first and third entries stand out as pinnacles of the Hack-n-Slash genre, but the overt lack of care that has been afforded to this collection makes me reticent to recommend it to all except those who possibly haven’t experienced the series yet and are curious to see what all the fuss is about.

All in all, Devil May Cry HD Collection the second go around is an unacceptable product, which feels like a waste of money.
