    Проходнячок с ОООЧЕНЬ неинтересной боевкой. По сути сидишь и надрачиваешь одну кнопку. Отвратительный таргет лок. Особенно сломаная боевка видна на V - непрямой контроль фамилиаров с невозможностью навестись на конкретного врага приводит к тому, что невозможно понять, что в следующий момент придет в голову контролируемому (типа!) тобой пету. И как вишенка - призываемый убернечто по имениПроходнячок с ОООЧЕНЬ неинтересной боевкой. По сути сидишь и надрачиваешь одну кнопку. Отвратительный таргет лок.     Вульгарная девица со своей способностью появляться на автобусе где угодно обесценивает достижения игрока по продвижению по локации.
    Короче, для любителей слэшеров лучше еще раз Байонетту пройти, для остальных лучше пройти мимо.
    А да, графон ничего!
    П.С. DMC от Ninja Theory был лучше - и стильнее и боевка интереснее и за сюжетом следить было прикольно. Жаль не продолжили!    … Expand

    Devil May Cry 5 is an exciting experience, with its very intense deep gameplay with many different enemies and bosses to defeat its surprisingly enjoyable to the very end. The story is pretty humorous and engaging it’s decent enough to be fun and shocking at the same time. The gameplay is were this game shines, it’s absolutely brutal and fun at the same time. The soundtrack is pretty intense and engaging, plus the bonuses like the gallery are always appreciated. The level design is good enough, I just wish If they added a bit more of new gameplay elements into the levels. Devil May Cry 5 is very enjoyable and exciting, with its amazing gameplay and good story the game truly shines when you perform these intense moves on the many enemies and bosses, just wish if the level design was slightly improved, none the less epic game.     Не буду скрывать, что самой любимой игрой серии для меня стала Devil May Cry 4. Была DmC 2013 года с хорошей боёвкой, не плохим сюжетом, но.... Было одно НО... Игра полностью распрощалась со своим готическим образом и мне это не очень понравилось. (1, 2 и 3 части вовремя не прошел из за отсутствия PlayStation 2, а проходить HD переиздание сейчас, ну это надо быть настоящим фанатом серии).Не буду скрывать, что самой любимой игрой серии для меня стала Devil May Cry 4. Оправдалась ли она?
    На мой взгляд не совсем.
    Расскажу почему.
    Ну первым разочарованием стал персонаж Неро, ещё в демо версии. В четвертой части он внёс хорошее разнообразие в геймплей, его демоническая рука, делала его более лёгким, летучим, мобильным, что ли персонажем по сравнению с "танком" Данте. В пятой же части его превратили, реально, в инвалида с киберпротезами, которые и в сравнение не идут с супер рукой. На мой взгляд Неро оказался самым неповоротливым и неинтересным героем игры.
    Я вообще не очень люблю, когда приходится играть и прокачивать нескольких персонажей, к ним не успеваешь привыкнуть, а в этой игре их три. Помимо Неро и Данте это, некий В или Ви. Геймплей за Ви необычный, он сражается не совсем сам, а с помощью двух демонических животных, чо то типа "орла" и "тигра". Геймплей за него мне, в принципе, понравился и когда стоял выбор за кого играть: Неро или Ви, выбирал последнего.
    Данте же это классический "танк", прёт на пролом, слабо блокируется, использует всяческое демоническое оружие и даже демоническую форму. Короче молодец, претензий нет.
    Теперь, что касается врагов. На мой взгляд их маловато разновидностей, как и боссов. Эпичность боссов тоже сильно пострадала, в предыдущих играх было лучше (Особенно в четвертой части боссы были просто шикарные, хотя некоторые и проходились по два раза). Вообще игра, на мой взгляд коротковата.
    О сюжете могу сказать только то, что он тоже короткий. Вроде напихано много и перерождение Вергилия, и появление в следствие этого Ви, и близкое родство всех этих героев. Честно говоря, с первого прохождения, трудно понять, что вообще произошло. Так как всё это, практически ни как не поясняется, вот есть и всё, что делает сюжет ещё более куцым. Может это задел на продолжение, не знаю. К тому же игра переведена только субтитрами и на мой взгляд дублежа очень не хватает.
    Игра выглядит неплохо, именно неплохо на PS4, звёзд с неба не хватает, в отличии от той же Devil May Cry 4, которая на моём Xbox 360 выглядела просто фиерично!
    Ещё одно расстройство, готические пейзажи так и не вернули.
    Резюмирую. На мой взгляд неплохая игра - продолжение четвертой части. Геймплей разнообразен, картинка радует, сюжет вбивает в голову столько откровений, сколько не было в предыдущих пяти частях. Но в этом и недостаток. Вопросов больше чем ответов. Ждём Devil May Cry 6!    … Expand

    Amazing Hack n slash! Great graphics, people say it's clunky but I don't see it. Devs put a lot of work into the cutscenes. Fun to play great replay value.

    Pretty amazing and stylish game for sure. Never played any dmc before this but I was totally digging the stylised and over the top entrances and fast hacking and slashing. Solid game

    I really have no words to describe how good and cool this game is, despite some mistakes in it (like irony and the lack of sense of some characters, acting like children sometimes) DMCV is a very frantic game, being the first DMC I play in my life, and certainly, it won't be the last, sustainable history, charismatic characters and conical villains. With rampant action.

    DMC 5 returns to show the world why it called the king of fast pace action game. The gameplay, graphic, music, cinematographic in this game is just on another level that most other games wish they can come close to.

    The king of hack and slash is back. It makes the combat slightly more accessible without removing depth. But Neros devil arms not being switchable goes against the design of devil may cry. It feels restrictive when DmC is supposed to be unrestricted to give players as many options to pull off combos. V is also a nice gimmick at first but he just becomes incredibly boring after awhile. That being said DmcV has such incredible combat, especially with dante, that it makes up for its many shortcomings.… Expand

    The story is okay but you are not here for that, you are here for the combat and it's here baby!
    It's more fast paced, flashier, smoother with more complex and unique combat mechanics than all the previous DMC installments making it not only the best hack and slash game but also one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITES! I need to breathe...

The difficulty scaling is also very good, and the 2 hardest settings truly feel like an huge challenge, expecially if you are going for the platinum. -1 point only for the V sections. They are too spammy and making your pets die in one hit in HaH makes getting an S just boring and tedious, not hard.    Awesome game.

    My game of the year for 2019. The first DMC I have ever played, and I was blown away by the addicting gameplay. Each character with unique moves, that never got old playing with. The story had me interested despite not knowing much of the characters beforehand. The soundtrack was top-notch and made each battle more intense.     For some one not very huge fan of DMC i had quite the fan playing this one. Because the copy was my friend's and i was visiting on my vacation, i tried and speed run the game to end it in 2 days.(2 game-nights) so don't expect me to talk about game mechanics and game styles

    Dante who unlike past titles swaps styles using the keypad and allows you to have a massive style combo.
    Nero who is wielding his sword and has his Devil arms that give him different abilities
    and my personal favorite
    V a mysterious young man who fights with summons while reading poetry and deals the final blow.

    I had such high hopes for this game and they've all been met! Truly a wonderful game. I wish I could've played as Dante a bit more as I feel he is the heart and soul of the DmC series. It also brings that touch of nostalgia, not too much, but just enough as to remember the first entries into the series. I hope this isn't the last we see of the son of Sparda and maybe a future game couldI had such high hopes for this game and they've all been met! Truly a wonderful game.     Absolutely amazing. This has to be one of the best games in terms of gameplay, characters, and music. The plot is simple, just a standard save the world from demons but that's a staple of all Devil May Cry games but other than that, this game is great. Combat is very smooth and fun for all three characters you are able to play as and each character is unique in their own fighting style.Absolutely amazing.     fue el primer devil may cry que jugue me parece un juego muy bueno gameplay muy rapido, muy fluido los personajes estan todos bien, lo unico malo que tiene este juego es el gameplay de V es muy aburrido a mi parecer y mas lento que Dante y Nero la historia esta bien la duracion del juego esta bien, despues de esto estoy jugando los otros devil may cry y me encantan, este juego se convirtiofue el primer devil may cry que jugue me parece un juego muy bueno gameplay muy rapido, muy fluido los personajes estan todos bien, lo unico malo que tiene este juego es el gameplay de V es muy aburrido a mi parecer y mas lento que Dante y Nero la historia esta bien la duracion del juego esta bien, despues de esto estoy jugando los otros devil may cry y me encantan, este juego se convirtio en uno de mis favoritos… Expand

    The overall animations tho pretty do seem to slow the action down quite a bit. As well as the slowness of the actions to a slight degree you’ll notice that the enemies are like rag dolls. You’ll often be hitting a body that’s knocked to the ground and the hits do take a while to kill these guys.     The Layout of the maps is at times really brilliant and other times bare bones, like empty streets as you pass through.

    Lastly the game doesn’t allow you to pick up and choose which character you want to beat the game with. Your stuck having to play one character per mission and at other times you’ll have the option to select up to two different characters for the mission. Can’t run all the levels as Dante which in comparison to others like V make you want more Dante. If the game were faster, like the past titles and made the enemies health points based on difficultly and offered the choice to play as any character then without question this game would be the action game to play over and over.

    Aside from these gripes the game really is an improvement on visuals and immersion. The story could of been more engaging, but instead it takes it time jumping through each story of the characters which is a bit distracting.

    My hopes is Capcom keeps up the game series and locks on what it does right. It happened after dmc 2, leading to part 3’s edge.    … Expand

    Justo lo que los fans queriamos, una continuación a la saga como debió ser desde hace tiempo, el apartado gráfico es una chulada, y el sistema de combate familiar, las unicas pegas que le pongo es que es mas facil y corto que el 3, y no me gustó nadita usar al personaje V... pero aun asi ya lo he terminado 2 veces

Includes 3 playable characters each with their own unique playstyle that you'll want to master. Blistering fast combat with insane depth. Gorgeous graphics and visual effects.     This is my first DMC, I like it's game play, the bosses and the 3 character. The game is extremely short with 20 levels and is artificially lengthened with its 6 difficulties, But, what I hate the most are loading screens everywhere. I am going for the platinum though.

    Но у игры есть и минусы, а главный, пожалуй, это непонятные флешбеки, да и в принципе дробление игры на части. На протяжении всей игры вас переносит то вперед, то назад. То вот вы играете за Неро, то вот вам решают показать, что делал Данте 15 дней назад. И я считаю это огромным минусом, так как вы просто напросто теряетесь.
    Так же есть прекрасный мальчик Ви или в простонародье Виталя, играя за которого вы мечтаете, чтобы миссия скорее закончилась. Конечно, создатели хотели добавить кого-то новенького, отличного от Данте и Него, как видом, так и стилем боя, но это не отменяет, что геймплей за него крайне скучный и все что вам нужно уметь, так это бесконтрольно нажимать на две-три кнопки.
    Если суммировать все выше, то игра мне все-таки понравилась. Это отличное продолжение серии, и я искренне надеюсь, что оно не будет являться ее завершением.    … Expand

I bought Collector’s Edition and thought that DMC is really back but it isn’t. RE engine is too dark here, though it was fine in RE7, the ending is abrupt and doesn’t make any sense, the locations are linear with no backtracking like in DmC but it doesn’t work here in this game, because fights are boring. There’s no exploration, no puzzles, just a set of arenas to fight some boring monsters in boring dark grey-filtered locations that get worse towards the end of the game. Battle system in DmC was really great and you could feel the difference between locations. The Boss battle with Urizen’s shield seems to be this game’s direcror’s favorite. But this boss battle is one of the worst and poorly designed in the entire series. 3 playable characters is a very questionable decision. This game is the Resident Evil 6 of DMC series, I would give it a 3/10 but I liked music, intro, secret missions, V’s gameplay (though it gets repetitive too quickly) and the character design. Dialogues are well written and cutscenes are really good. The story is fine but when I played DmC, Devil may cry 1,2,3 and 4, after completing these games I felt like I watched a movie, maybe sometimes a bad one, but a movie. After playing DMC5 I feel like I watched an episode of a mediocre TV show. Being a big fan of the series since 2000s I can say that this game is a big disappointment that makes me doubt in Capcom’s future games. I still don’t want to buy Resident Evil 2 because I don’t want to be this sad again. I wish someone from Capcom sees this little review and makes some notes of it.     but to be honest the game is very rushed and lacking in content. most of Dante and Neros moves are just ported over from DMC 4 and there's not enough new content added to justify this game being called DMC5.. it's more DMC 4.5
    V sucks. his gameplay is crap both in terms of function and fun. he has no depth, he is over powered and was a huge waste of development time. it's also insulting that we can't play as Vergil even though all his assets are there in the game.
    worse still is the fact that you are forced to play as V every playthrough. in another terrible design decision, you can't freely select which character to play as in missions and there are a whopping... 20 missions.
    that's right they actually split 20 levels among 3 characters. another terrible decision. put some effort in. either give us a free character select or give each character their own 20 mission campaign.
    and many of these missions are not even levels.
    Prologue - is a very short tutorial followed by a boss fight.
    missions 6, 17, 18, 19, 20 are all just boss fights.
    missions 4, 5, 9, 14 - are all forced V missions

    leaving only 11 levels that are remotely worth playing. (dante really only has 4 levels of his own)...
    and the level design in these levels is garbage. there is no platforming, no puzzles, it's just bloody palace mode with more walking and some tedious reused nidhog hatchlings (they're basically keys but have the most boring and uninspired execution both in visuals and how they work in levels). some levels are city areas that looks OK. most are the demon tree which looks terrible and bland.

    remember the director Itsuno came out on stage and said the game would exceed everyone's expectations what the actual hell was he talking about? it doesn't even seem finished.
    V sucks and actively makes the game worse, there's no content. no turbo mode, only 1 set of costumes to unlock, no boss rush, no multiplayer.
    they advertised this game with coop multiplayer but you can only do that in ONE MISSION. one in the entire game, no multiplayer for bloody palace or other levels and no local multiplayer. talk about completely misusing a system your programmers had to work hard on.

    Boss fights are pretty good.. some suck like Gilgamesh and King Cerberus, other are pretty nice. but they never even approach the best bosses from other DMC games like Vergil 3 and Credo. there's an inherent flaw in their design philosophy. where as previous DMC boss fights tended to be fast, up close and aggressive. the Pacing in DMC5 boss fights is all screwed up. they tend to be very focused on running/teleporting away from the you. Bosses like putting huge distances between themselves and the player and then spamming projectile attacks. the bigger bosses also feel much less satisfying to cut up thanks to the realistic look.

    Lastly the Realistic Resident Evil engine look is hideous and lacks any semblance of style.. the very style we've come to expect from the series. the face scanned models look awful with the 1 exception of Nero who only looks weird sometimes. in general characters look like disgusting cosplayers. it also has a negative effect on visibility in gameplay.    … Expand

Many questions unanswered, playing with 3 characters for such a limited time each one, it doesn't let you make full use of any of them and really master their. Skills.... But the game is polished, complete, and has the best fighting mechanics in any action game to date(pros might argue DMC 4 for that). I love this game.     - Why Lady is so passive in this game? She was on fire in DMC3!

    - I still can't believe Vergil banged someone and left a child behind. There was simply no way they could come up with anything sensible. Think about it, Vergil didn't knew Nero was his son, which implies that he banged some girl without protection and ghosted her, never looked back.
    - I still can't believe Dante don't have a son. Why? I remembered that when Mundus said "I will be back", you throw back "say hello to my son will you?" Where is your son?(I don't even care about your wife, maybe you can do what Vergil did)
    - You fight Urizen in Prologue, M8, M10, M12...
    - King Cerberus is weaker than Cerberus in DMC3, seriously. He was never a threat under any difficulties. (The weapon is really really awesome)
    - Except for the Knuckle, Nero gains no new move sets in his matured DT form. For people who had played DMC4, this is laziness.
    - Kalina Ann left/right/duel, three guns, there you go...
    - The Devil Sword Sparda works exactly like Rebellion
    - One of Cavalier's moveset is behind the pay wall?
    - In DMC, you can unlock the Legendary Dark Knight costume by just playing the game. It replaces Dante entirely, including his initial weapon, his combat music. In DMC3 SE, Dante has SIX costumes, now...
    - In DMC3, Dante's DT form changes based on what weapon he is using. Why abandon this great, great idea? Also, hire the person who designed DT in DMC3 back. It looks very ominous and mystic. Now it looks like some generic costume on a Halloween night.
    - Remember the costumes for Ashley in RE4? Can we have some costumes that are not just recolored version? I bought the Delux version, and I confirm that there is no costume making Lady show more of her cleavage.
    - I miss the Gothic DMC
    - I love the original DMC, I love it so much that I couldn't understand what happened to Dante. In DMC, he was playful, but still mature and somber lot of the time. In DMC5, he is most clownish.    … Expand

    the story is not that emotional or engaging but it makes you keep playing and it never gets boring or pointless but comparing to previous year's gow, rdr2 and spider man it's like a joke.
    The rock music as other reviews stated is amazing and it fits the game very well.

    overall dmc 5 is a fun game but it's thousands of miles away from a masterpiece or goty contender just a good game to enjoy.    … Expand

    Best game of the whole series together with DMC3, gave it an eight just because it didn't come with portuguese dubbing which difficults for people with sight problem like me to understand the story.

    After the sweet and satisfying combat in DMC4 on just can wonder what can be achieved in the next entry and the thing went beyond my expectations, as far as Hack n' slash games go, I like them a lot even tho' I'm not a super combo master but I can have a great time trying to be one, the gameplay and combat is so fun and versatile that at least one of the three selectable characters might suit your style, so if you're not good but not bad as me, Nero will be likely your favorite (if you played the 4th game you know how he rolls), or if you're not that good you can stick a lot more with the mysterious and stoic V, which has a very interesting way of playing: sort of Pikmin style you use three units at the same time that also has some autonomy and their own hp bars, the combat its simplier, satisfying and more easily to attain higher ranks but it needs some strategy and also your thumbs will hurt quite a bit, as for the more advanced and audacious players Dante will be the one, it has more versatility and complexity than the other two but for that reason his chapters can be the more satisfying if you can master his combos and weapons.

    Every style of combat its a reflection of the personality of its character, a thing that I liked a lot because in videogames, in order to exploit your story to its full potential you need the gameplay to tell its own story, at least for me. Speaking of story, at first, I was a little reluctant of how good it will be, starting with the somehow dull one-liners that Nero and Dante said too often or how V looked like a generic edgy and stoic guy, but the more the story unfolded I was more really into it, and the more I knew its main cast I was more in line with their motivations and what they did to attain their goals, as for the supporting cast, well, they are serviceable to the story but don't expect a lot of Lady, Trish or even the new Nico, they're more like cameos, not a big issue but I could see them a lot more in future entries. As for plots and story turns, let's say that some things I really didn't expect happened and they were so subtly hinted that it was like a magic trick unfolded in front of you, maybe for veteran and more hardcore players was so obvious but for me, it was a nice surprise.

    One of the stellar things in DMC5 are the boss fights, there are at least 10 different battles and they are so different from one another, from the boss design (which are so good) and for the combat mechanics, one thing that can be noted for games like God of War (2018) a game that I really like but it lacks so much in the boss department, there is a scripted fight that you will encounter two times but is not that bad and is serviceable for the story, kind of.

    I really like the Devil Trigger theme, it adds to the atmosphere and pumped up combat but I'm not really into that sort of electronic-rock-drum and bass music (which the series have since the first one) but I think to others might be a work of genius, for me it was good and not distracting, so it was OK. The environment and stage design it's also very good, the game has a gothic theme on its story but it also can be noted in the architecture of its world, it's very subtle but there is, and it's interesting because, for an action game as bombastic as this, one would think that everything would be "in your face" but they decided to be almost a muted and almost unnoticeable thing to see, kudos for the developers for that.

    As far as negatives aside from the first act simpler dialogue and some nitpicks, my biggest issue is a personal one (that I'm not counting to "diminish" the score of this review mind you) but I really don't like the faces of the main characters, at least for the "classic" ones, they differ so much from their past entries that look like different people, I heard that they were based on real people but at least for me didn't feel "right" in here, but hey, that's just my personal opinion, some might like them a lot and good for them.

    My time with DMC 5 was very good, flashy and fast that almost felt like I rushed through all the game, I played on Devil Hunter mode (which is supposed to be recommended for veteran players) and the challenge was really good and fun, there are a lot of options for people who are not good but want to play it for the story, which I don't recommend because sometimes a devil must cry in order to achieve their goals.    … Expand

    Excellent presentation, crazy story, awesome attitude, but the pacing is not good, it lacks (ironically) more action.. those reds orbs you collect just by destroying capsules and environments are hiding the lack of enemies to encounter and to try to balance the level up system which is broken.

    DMC5 introduces a brand new story and a lot of fun.

    The story is quite interesting but the main purpose of the game is to replay it on different difficulties.
    Gameplay is addicting and very well constructed.

    My only but is the lack of presence of some characters, specially V. That con only be played in 4-5 episodes.

    Game is very good, plenty of challenge even on lower difficulties, especially for me who is new to series. Story is interesting enough, graphics are beautiful although most of the environments are rather dull looking, and gameplay is very fun.

    Incredible game, I love it! This game is one of the best of the franchise, it has very good graphics and lots of crazy combos, I enjoyed it a lot!

    When one rival put on weight, grew a bushy beard and decided to raise his son in the Northern bewilderness, the other chose a pair of stylish high-heels a couple sizes too small and the third now only appears to smash some oversized ta-tas, Devil May Cry 5 is proving that it is too early to put hack'n slash games out of commission. It's a gorgeous, glorious game of great current interest. A crown jewel from Capcom's most skilled goldsmiths.

    Although the online functions could have been better, the unique and satisfying combat styles of Nero, Dante and V greatly contribute in evolving Devil May Cry 5 to the next level. While gaining a more photorealistic look thanks to Capcom’s RE engine, the stylish action we have come to love from the series is better than ever.
