    If you are person who love cool story, a lot of drama, a lot of different interesting characters - you must play that game. It is even not a game , it's more like cool interactive movie. I recommend, do not miss such games!

    Most engaging story i've ever experienced in any game ive ever played. There are barely any problems besides lag happeneing out of nowhere during cutscenes.

    I do recommend this game.

    Graphically this game looks beautiful and it runs well the gameplay is fun for an interactive movie style of game with the quicklime event action sequences and plethora of decisions you make. The 3 characters you focus on all have very interesting showing different sides of the androids gaining consciousness and deviant issue. The customizability in the story    I do recommend this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall it's a great game and fun to play. But I wish you had more of a choice to root for the robots or against them. And the little girl shouldn't be discovered as a robot and should have been a human instead. That really sucked when I found that out. It's like the robots can always tell each other but for some reason she couldn't detect the child was one? And it was silly that lieutenant ended up rooting for the robots.

    It's a good game and normally I don't play story sorts of games. You have so many choices in what you can do and each mission has multiple outcomes affecting how things play out giving the game a huge amount of replay-ability. A couple of things that really annoyed me is the girl turning out to be a robot! That seriously did kill that part of the story for me. It would have been far more interesting if the girl was human. The fact she is not is almost like you wanted it to be human but then shoe horned in at the last second that she's a robot.
    Another thing I didn't like is how lieutenant becomes to like the robots even know he clearly despised them. Wouldn't it be better if you had a choice in this? Like if you show no emotion then he hates robots but if you get along with him he continues to hate them? He shot you in the face and then next minute he's trying to stop you killing them? That really didn't make sense to me. If there is a way to keep him against them then I apologise but I did try and get that outcome but didn't manage to.
    I found it weird that headshots kill robots but the nurse women had nothing in her head? And also at 1 point you get shot in the head and die slowly but then in the interview room a headshot is immediate.
    Nothing major but a bit inconsistent.

    The controls aren't bad but I felt movement at times was a bit slow. Like when your looking for the robot hideout Jericho (How ever it's spelt) and you are forced to walk around really slowly. Would have be nice to have more of a fast walk or slow run. It was like this at a few times where movement felt to slow for what you were doing.

    I liked the horror sort of parts of the game like the junkyard or the house with the crazy robot and sadly I wish there were more parts like this but instead we only got 3.
    More crazy evil deviants would have be cool aswell but instead 90% of them were friendly or atleast the ones we seen but I feel like if they were inslaved then more of them would rebel with force and not peacefully.

    If you haven't played this game yet I recommend you check it out if you are into sci fi sorts of stuff. Its on PS Now aswell allowing you to stream it on PC if you don't own a playstation.    … Expand

    This is by far one of the best games I have played, up there with The Witcher, GTA, NFSU2 and MW, Minecraft, etc. But this game is even better in some aspects, because the Story is like if you were in an actual movie, in which your choices matter, the Graphics are beautiful, the characters. And one of the best things, is that it might be a path that we will have to face in the near future.This is by far one of the best games I have played, up there with The Witcher, GTA, NFSU2 and MW, Minecraft, etc. But this game is even better in some aspects, because the Story is like if you were in an actual movie, in which your choices matter, the Graphics are beautiful, the characters. And one of the best things, is that it might be a path that we will have to face in the near future. I'm guessing that the people not giving this game a 9/10 is because they, either didn't understand it, don't like the genre, or are just mad at this masterpiece ;) Loved it.… Expand

    Loved this game! So cool how all your choices make a difference. I’ve always loved choice based games such as the telltale ones and Life is Strange but never really felt like my choices have mattered in the end, but not with this. It’s so interesting to see how things turn out when you make different choices.

    I heard a lot about this game, but it really disappointed me. Yeah, i really liked the way they showed us the future, i get the resemblance and it's awesome. I find it a bad practice to divide the script into three lines cuz it's really hard to make all of them decent and that's exactly what happened in this game. I liked Connor and Hank line, but other two are dull.

    Un classique jeu à choix ! Il est vraiment très bon sur plusieurs aspects : histoire/narration, choix, chemins et fins différents (heureusement), rejouabilité et optimisation.
    Detroit laisse au joueur la possibilité de faire son propre parcours de manière très immersive dans un monde dystopique où les androïdes se rebellent (c'est une bonne chose). les personnages que l'on peut incarnés,    Un classique jeu à choix !     I bought the game and completed it and I must say that it is fantastic because in each chapter there are more endings. The thing I like is the choice of behaviors that you decide. Even if it costs too much it is worth a nice 9. I will always play this game.

Я прошел эту игра так что Кэра умерла, Маркус не победил, а Коннора вообще скинул с крыши его напарник Хэнк. Немного о Хэнке в начале игры он ненавидел андроидов, под конец понял что они не такие уж и ужасные, а Конор же в конце игры был безразличным мудаком… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Quantic Dream is mainly known for Heavy Rain which is mostly loved. An impressive achievement for the game that is incomplete because of cut content and thus integral parts of the story missing as well as the plotholes and red herings in the game itself.
    Detroit, however, does not come close to feeling as incomplete as HR. I loved Beyond Two Souls a lot and three years ago when I watched the trailer of Detroit I immediately thought "wow, THIS could be even more liked by me than Beyond" which really means something because I totally love Beyond.
    Now here's the thing: Having played it Day 1 I immediately rushed through the story in one session. And I definitely love it and enjoyed it. I just can hardly dislike a story about AI. The problem is Detroit feels very, very much like, even though it is complete, it has so much missed potential. It is like some warmed-up food or the same kind of food that you cook always the same or even if you change the recipe you barely change it at all. Really giving this same topic a new spin by spicing things up could have added a lot more to the effect, the narrative and the entertainment.
    To be honest, I do not appreciate that the game has to be some sort of Heavy Rain or Fahrenheit clone. I do not need x characters that switch back and forth between chapters. It breaks the immersion for one specific character for me. This is where I think Beyond scored. Also Detroit has even more of a clone-like feeling when you just have to play another room cleaning simulator or have at least one more police man character or something similiar just to once more bring in investigation and action scenes. And of course the predictable "insane guy with an insane cellar". We had that in the previous games already. I would have appreciated more diversity. Especially when it comes to the narration - first of all I think it would have been better to just have one character and make the other two important characters that your character interacts with and they influence each other during the story. Take Kara and make Markus and Connor important NPCs would be my recommendation (which obviously will not be a thing as the game is finished already but that is what I would have done for the immersion and for not always disrupting the narrative flow and growing attached to a certain character). Sure, when you play the other two you might feel you know them better than having them as NPCs but more me this hardly works because I rather have one where the focus is not lost. And Kara seemed perfect for that. The narration itself leads to a really sweet, dramatic and tragic story but that is what was talking about earlier: It is nice but there could have been so much more. A much more epic story. I was missing something like not a machine that just did his job but a deviant that even as a deviant was ALWAYS in the story going to bother you. Or Kara who as mentioned should have just had more contact with the other characters. Of course as she was one specific android who was just minding her own business she was not part of the revolution but I think they could have easily met earlier and even with minding her own business she could have influence the others with her way of thinking and care for Alice. I will not bother mentioning narration problems/plotholes now because those are not all that bad. What I really think of as sad is, while the score is good, I think that is where Detroit really falls short. You really were able to feel the intensity of Norman Corbeil's (RIP) and Hans Zimmer's work i the previous games. This game however has pretty much only 2 tracks for me that I think of as really good and the others are just like "running in the background".
    Now when it comes to the story itself - what can I say? I am a person that still can be gotten with goodm old cliché stories like the parent-child story so of course I absolutely adored the story of Kara and Alice. Alice is totally adorable and it was pretty much from the get-go clear that Kara was my favourite character in the game. The way they interact and then later Luther together with them is just something that I always enjoy, no matter in which story it is - so that is one of the themes in stories where not much has to be changed for me - even though the plottwist really was no plottwist. You saw it coming from a mile away. There is actually some weird character problem with Kara when it comes to that "twist" because the byproduct message seems weird in a game like this but I guess I can live with it because the main message is the really important thing.

    Overall it is a really great, a fantastic game. However - I wish there would have been a lot more of what I saw this game could be from the mere topic itself. I doubt it can push Beyond or LIS off the throne of cinematic movie games for me but maybe after a while it will share place. Still great game though some questions are unnecessary because of Computer Science and Psychology.    … Expand

    Great story and characters. What else is there to say? It’s pretty much an interactive movie and this is fine since Quantic Dream is known for games like this. Better than Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit for sure

    It is a blend of many generic themes and tropes that don't blend well due to the poor writing, and on the nose "imagery". Consequences and actions had left a staggering 85 endings to this, the only enjoyable moments were the detective sequences. other than that just a let down qte b movie

    Detroit is definitely worth experiencing. It has an engaging story with great performances by the cast. The game is the successful evolution of the game mechanics from Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls.

    Detroit is a really good game. I love that it is a pure story game. The fact that your choices matter this much is also amazing. The game was written too well. The 3 different stories that come together in the end are amazing. I loved the protagonists as i felt sorry for them, i really got to understand them and their emotions.

Мне бы, например, очень интересно было бы узнать, как там троица в Канаде новую жизнь строит. Или что там с Коннором и его отношениями с Хэнком, но этого всего нет. Додумывать мне не хочется, я хочу увидеть мысли сценаристов по этому поводу. Обидно. Но твердая семерка, три балла отнял только за несколько лорных дыр, краткость и неполную раскрытость персов.… Expand

    The story is fantastic and the graphics are breathtaking, but everyone giving this a 10/10 is definitely ignoring the biggest flaw of the game: its gameplay. Arguably the single most important factor of a game is completely terrible. I've argued with friends over this and they argue "its menial for a reason its supposed to represent how ... blah blah blah." Arguably the single most important factor of a game is completely terrible. I've argued with friends over this and they argue "its menial for a reason its supposed to represent how ... blah blah blah." That's not an adequate excuse for me, you cant just say "my game is super terrible and boring on purpose its actually super artistic and intelligent" and suddenly have a good game. If you like to PLAY GAMES this game is not for you, but if you are more interested in compelling stories, beautiful graphics, and the ability to make impactful choices, then this game is a must buy.… Expand

    This is a masterpiece. We all know this by now. The story is beautifully crafted and is definitely the best work out out by it’s developer, Quantic Dream. The story is very heartfelt and definitely relates to real world issues. The game challenges your morals and it succeeds at this very well. The motion capture is nearly flawless and the actor’s really gave it their all.

    I don't even know why some people hate in the reviews, the gameplay is good and very action packed considering it's just quick time events and walking around. The story is interesting and characters are too, mostly.

Это просто куски метала не имеющие сознания, однако пытающиеся вызвать у вас сентименты, так же что не понравилось так это то что роботы уж слишком выглядят как люди, надо мне кажется было их сделать более "неИгра очень хорошая!     So far this is my favorite Quantic Dream game since I last played Heavy rain. As usual, they told an amazing story, and Connor was really badass, loved him! :D

    The mocap and graphics are, to this day, totally jaw-dropping. New games coming out nowadays by AAA companies don't look this good. It's almost breathtaking.
    Connor and Hank, I must say, absolutely carry this game. Their chapters are exciting, their dynamic is fantastic, and their relationship (depending on what choices you make) is so worth exploring.
    Kara and Alice's sections are heartfelt and meaningful, though they contribute little to the overall plot.
    Marcus' sections for me dip ever so slightly, just because his chapters feel long and a little boring compared to Connor's. That's not to take away from what is an incredible game, with honestly endless replayability. It's addictive and exciting and I hope we see a sequel in the future!    … Expand

    Gaming as a medium has so far been absolutely pathetic in telling engaging stories that also maturely deal with themes. The themes here should be deeply scientific or philosophical. The game does not touch on either of them. Robots just become human in the most naive and straight forward way possible. Its not a deep game by any stretch of the imagination. And even outside of that, the plot kind of breaks down in the second half.

    The gameplay is very mediocre. So yes, its a choices matter game where choices actually matter, but thats all it really has to offer.    … Expand

It's a wonderfully polished experience, and I really, really wanted to like it, but towards the end, everything became so disjointed that you destroy any attachment created to the characters. Split-second decisions for multiple conflicting storylines and incredibly random qtes lead to an exit you didn't wish for, and it feels SO frustrating. Shame...

    And the story, while it started well, the events happening felt forced and often nonsensical. Marcus didn't do anything to become the leader, he just kind of stumbled upon it, and everyone around him instantly agreed, "he is our guy". Kara and Alice ran the whole time, but outside of being incredibly depressing, nothing of note actually happened. The worse of it all was how incredibly predictable the story was if you managed to steer it properly. At the start felt engaging, while towards the end was just a drag that I really wanted to see over. I had plans to explore various missed connections that evaporated the moment I saw the end credits.    … Expand

    Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.
