David Cage expertly blends a B movie with a walking simulator. He has created, quite possibly, the most tedious form of media in existence.
It does look pretty, but so does No man's sky.

Shame about how overtly political it is, outside of the ham-fisted political views, the movie was rather well made. Unfortunately, the writers did a poor job with representing both sides of the conflict which left the story rather flat. Blatant propaganda.

Esperaba algo mejor, creo que no innova lo sufciente, sobre todo por ser una nueva generaciòn de consolas y tardaron màs de 4 años en realizar este juego. Aparte que es muy corto y no engancha en nada.

You can play Demo in Germany with Polish dubbing, but when you buy a game, you do not even have Polish subtitles. This is how the European Union looks like when the money decides.

In my opinion, nothing special about this game, the three good things in this game are Connor (aka.: really good Blade Runner material), overwall aesthetics and one chapter in abounded amusement park with creepy glitching androids, nothing more
If you want to play this game you must prepare for typical Cage ****

Cant say any positive about this game. Its still kinda boring like Beyond Two Souls or other games from Quantic Dream. Too much dialogs and a story that no one needs on earth. I dont have anything about David Cage, its just the "genré". the only good thing about this game is the superb graphic...
for me definately NOT game of the year

I would have given the hackneyed gameplay a pass if the story was remotely interesting and passable, but unfortunately, no. Worse yet is the racism and the use of Black suffering as a crux to show off how oppressed the androids are, going as far as to use Civil Rights movement references, Black Panther iconography, and equating the struggles of androids to that of black slaves. Worse yet is the racism and the use of Black suffering as a crux to show off how oppressed the androids are, going as far as to use Civil Rights movement references, Black Panther iconography, and equating the struggles of androids to that of black slaves. Detroit: Become Human is the ultimate middle finger to black experiences and suffering, coming from the perspective of a French studio that has, in the past, used racist caricatures in their games. The subtlety in this game is equal to that of the game beating your head in with a heavy mallet. There is none. Any attempts to be non-offending, to be non-racist, are steamrolled over by black androids singing slave songs and running away on the android "railroad." This is, by far, probably the worst release of 2018, and the year is not even over yet. Expand

    What a bad movie.

    No gameplay what so ever
The game tells you what to do all the time.
And off course the game has good graphics Because its a movie. Every movie has good graphics.

An another Cage Movie's... but story is just weird. There are so many inconsistencies, very badly written passages. If you criticize the game like a movie, it's really worthless. And unfortunate it's an interactive film, so the scenario is more important than for no other.

If I'm not mistaken, games are suppose to be fun. This is exactly what this "game" lacks. This game has sections where you're doing chores, laundry, waiting for the bus, walking, and babysitting. These are struggles some of us go through everyday. I play games to escape all of that. This is the last thing I want in a game.

There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is no reason to touch this game again. $60 for a 10 hour campaign with no replay value is a cashgrab. I recommend you wait for this game to drop to $10 before picking it up. If all you care about is story, just watch it on youtube and save $60.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m very late to playing this game. I’ve only heard good things about it so I gave in and decided to give it a try and I was genuinely impressed with it! The story was interesting, the choices fun, and the acting great. Then suddenly that just changes. The story becomes immensely generic, the choices make no sense to what you chose, and the characters become... well... androids. They have no emotion and you don’t care about any of them. One mission on particular is incredibly embarrassing and hard to play. That is the broadcast mission where out “hero’s” get to go be generic spy’s to get into a broadcast station to state why they should be free. Except the mission makes no sense. Why was there an Android outfit in the bathroom? Who stashed it there? How come nobody saw two androids against the windows of the building full of people? How did they get up the work elevator? How did they get all this spy crap when they have nothing at Jericho? So many things make zero sense and none of your choices matter. There’s also very little direction so you’ll spend most the mission ignoring the controls to figure out where to go. I literally let Simon die because I figured it would let me get out of the mission faster. And because I didn’t even know his name and had zero attachment to him. This mission just to lazy for me. They went for something generic and “cool” and pulled it off so embarrassingly bad. And that’s how the whole end of the game feels. I couldn’t recommend this game to anyone. It just ends up heartless and lazy after the first few hours. Expand

The sad thing that it comes down to is that the narritive just doesn't diverge enough for it to justify it's existence as a interactive story, and would this be released as a tv show on netflix I would definitely consider it to be below average. This is in part because of the bland characters and the kind of formulaic plot this story will follow given the fact that you make the choices that are the game is wanting you to. If you make a "bad" choice the outcome is so obviously awful that you really don't feel like the path you are taking is a whole different story in of itself. This is illustrated by the fact that if you make a "bad" decision the flowchart you follow just becomes less complete. Still, the animation and environments are a technical marvel. I would recommend this to people who like high concept sci-fi movies like the matrix with a descent hero's journey, but this is definitely not the game for me. Expand

Gee what a great "game". Whatever this is, game or interactive movie, it is disgusting. I wish I could give it a negative score. It deserves one. Detroit: Become Human is so offensive in so many ways.

I cannot fathom the high score by users. I guess they're all part of the everyone is a victim crowd. No doubt they feel that what happens to the androids is what is happening to them too.

Apparently the developer thought that since everyone is so in the love with the idea that almost everyone and everything is racist that they could cash in on it by making a game or interactive movie about the desperate and unjust plight of future androids. They basically equate it with past racism and slavery.

Personally, I say bring on the androids, but not the ones in this game, which are ridiculous and will never happen. Then again, considering they will be made and programmed by humans, maybe androids aren't a good idea.

Anyway, if you want to watch a lot of moaning, screaming and preaching about injustice, save yourself some money and just turn on the news or go on social media.

This game is very disappointing. I would strongly encourage players to RENT instead of buy this game. Get it off Redbox or something it is NOT WORTH $60. It's roughly 6 hours at best of gameplay.

The game itself is reasonably engaging and explores some interesting ideas regarding AI. While certainly unrealistic and overdone in the melodrama sphere, the game is fun to play through.

There's no real replay value here, though, once its done I had no patience to redo everything or even parts of the story (which they give you options to do)

One thing I do need to mention is that this game has more political biases of the devs being snuck into the game, which as many can guess, leans decidedly left. There's also no nudity of any kind in this game. Even when you visit the in-game android strip club, all the androids are fully clothed.

Even the name of the game is a huge problem and mistake: be come human. The android dont even want to be human, they want to live like independent species(if u play the game, u will understand this). another example is: Connor, an "android robocop" simply a copy of Norman Jayden from heavy rain, they both assertive, weak voice, both detective and have a kindda vulnerable body type, but the way they build Jayden is much better. music also nearly not exist, although the sound effect is very good and quite fit the scence. talk about control, is not feel so good, u can understand this when u touch the PS4 controller, this is not a big problem but is a one of the problem will make u dont even want to keep play the game, so dont even ask about should you replay the game. The game some time have bug and models fragment even you play the game in a PS4 Pro, but maybe some time they will "help" you laugh. this game is the product made from about 6 years ago, so dont expect some thing that extra ordinary or epic in this game, cause all the time, this game tell you what to do with forced dialogs, and some moment you will feels like that should have dialogs choices, but it dont have. Just like heavy rain or beyond 2 soul, this game is drama-interactive, so dont expect any open play style element in this game, the game fill with Quick Time Event system and it's very esily get bored. Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

Detroit: Become Human looks and sounds great, and includes key player choices throughout, though it could have benefited greatly from a tighter script. While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.

Although the narrative is fairly linear, there are enough branching paths over the course of the game to make it feel like your actions matter. That allows Detroit to still be fun even on multiple playthroughs – and for an interactive movie, that’s a rare praise. [Issue#231, p.68]
