Deponia didn't go to waste when Daedalic entertainment ported the game to PlayStation 4. The game is funny, wonderful graphics and great characters. The only thing we miss is the use of the track pad.

Thanks to an intriguing plot, a rich world and interesting characters, Deponia remains a beautiful adventure four years after its original release. The controls on consoles are good enough, but the same can't be said for the launch price tag, which makes this new version much more expensive than the whole trilogy on PC.

An interesting point'n click adventure that hasn't been adapted perfectly to the controller.

Deponia lands on PlayStation 4 with no new contents compared to the original edition. Despite the years passed since the release of the PC, the game is still fun and entertaining, that reminds in many ways Monkey Island.

Deponía has charisma both in its visuals and its characters, although it lacks some of it plot-wise. A traditional point-and-click adventure example for PS4 that you should play. It has to be mentioned the superb artistic work and controller adaptation. However, it could have brought some extras with it to compensate for its quite expensive price.

Deponia jumps on PS4 without additions apart from a new control system, but it still is a great adventure.

A fun and charming point and click adventure. ITs charming characters and great writing bring its characters to life. The puzzles can be challenging but fell rewarding when it's all said and done. It's just a shame my trip to Deponia didn’t last longer.

Deponia is recommended to fans of point-and-click adventure games, since it serves as an adequate point-and-click, and there is little else out there on consoles in this genre. It has a quirky world all its own, but the protagonist may rub some people the wrong way, and he may fail to garner enough sympathy to see the story through to the end. The control scheme can be a little odd using only the analog sticks, but it is capable.

Deponia is alright, but, all the while I was playing the game, I had this nagging feeling that something wasn’t quite right.

The first entry on the German point and click "Deponia" series is a really enjoyable game.
My main highlights of deponia are the beautifully drawn backgrounds, the english voice acting and the charismatic world building. The "family guy" sense of humor of the main character would not be suited for everyone but I have no issues with that.
The puzzles are interesting and although some of them require moon logic, most of them are doable, the minigames can be hard but you can ignore them unless you go for the platinum.
Regarding the port to ps4, the controls are good but a game breaking bug remains on the last chapter of the game, no clue how it passed the QA, but as soon as you see an anchovy save the game and be careful because you can get into a deadlock

Deponia looks great on the Switch and undoubtedly has a certain charm to it. However, as is often the case with these old school point and click adventures, too many of the puzzles lack any sort of logic and it all pretty quickly becomes an exercise in frustration.

I really enjoyed Harvey's New Eyes, so after finishing it, I bought Deponia immediatelly. What a disappointment. Very repetitive conversationsI really enjoyed Harvey's New Eyes, so after finishing it, I bought Deponia immediatelly. What a disappointment. Very repetitive conversations get boring real quick, soundtrack is quite bland (I can't even recall if it has any music, though I just played it a few hours before). And the worse is that it's buggy: the cursors often stuck at one item on the screen. When you want to try using multiple items on a different part of the screen, it keeps jumping back to a fix point. Gave up after about 4 hours of gameplay. Full Review »
