    I love watching the cutscenes in this game and I like progressing in the story via gameplay. The world is truly amazing and I’ve never seen anything this interesting and innovative from a video game. It’s truly a masterpiece.

    DONT LISTEN TO THE GAMER REVIEWS! BUY and SEE FOR YOURSELF! Death Stranding is highly addictive. Excellent storyline. Amazing scenery. Yes it is relaxing. There are weapons, vehicles and tech as you expand the storyline. Hideo pulled it off yet again!

    I can’t understand why some people keep nagging on this masterpiece? It is almost like people have decided to hate it before it even was released. This game is not only graphically stunning, but also have a deep storyline and it really does capture you. Kojima has been brilliant with blending in all sorts of elements into the game and the story. The story is a mix of moral dilemma,I can’t understand why some people keep nagging on this masterpiece? I get that people can have a hard time taking everything in, but rating this game 0/10 simply because you lack sense of philosophy and artistic creativity isn’t fair. Even if you don’t get this piece of art, you should at least have the spirit to respect it!

    The story speaks to me in a way few video games has ever done. The feeling of being needed has never been bigger than in Death Stranding. What you do matter, and that gives the player a feeling of satisfaction every time you help someone out.

    If you are a creative, intellectual person, likes philosophy, existential questions and likes the complicated idea of time and space you definitly need to pick this piece of art up and add it to your collection. Close-minded people should not bother picking this up, pick up a FPS instead!    … Expand

    The mountain gave birth to a mouse. Even Days Gone are better then that. Epic misunderstending and worst GAME of 2019. So much unlimited money by Sony, free Decima Engine and for what? Walking american truck Simulator? With cheap and stupid story for children? Kojima should retire. And yeah, his fanboy can eat even **** from their GOD.

    Fantastic game. Interesting story, lore and a game concept i've never come across before. I respect Kojima for doing something completely different in this age of games that focus on the most popular genres, huge franchises, and remakes.

    THIS GAME IS MORE THEN A MASTERPIECE AND I GUESS PEOPLE CANT SEE THAT. Yeah it's slow but it's not boring and for the people who didn't get past 20 hours I really fell bad for you because your missing out. It's way better then a 6.3 and that score just pisses me off.

    After 177 hours of playing this game i can finally say this is the perfect game; everyone is playing it, from the hater to the lover.
    When was the last time you saw a game getting reviews of 10/10, 3/5, 6/10.

    This is a slow, methodical game about post-apocalyptic package deliver. Incredible visuals, bonkers (in a good way) story, and focused gameplay that starts basic, and gradually expands with options.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a brilliantly magnificent but boring and slow-satisfying game I ever experienced. Everything hits the high notes for me which I awed at its brilliance of a genius and his apostles. The storyline, gameplay, graphics, sounds, theatrics..literally everything is excellent. I would say the first 10-15 hours its an arduous grind especially if you do not have any form of transport to move around location to location delivering the main or standard orders. Its walking and hiking, then sleeping and evading danger. Its basically like how you are learning from how to crawl, to walk then to ride gradually. I wouldn't compare this art piece to the MGS series which I had played and own from PSP to PS4 titles. Different games has its own uniqueness. Perhaps I could compare it to Phantom Pain but somehow I felt there's some invisible restrictions in MGS PP which Kojima and team are tied down with. This is something different, something oddly fresh, and something daring and bold which raises the bar in the gaming industry making it more realistic, simple and alive. Its an experiential journey of a character that you live in. Sure, it is weird, it is confusing, but slowly you will get into the lore in bits and pieces. You will want to find out more in curiosity and collect more orders to know more of the story and lore of DS. You will slowly understand in your own pace. It's literally not forcing you to understand everything but there's always a story to tell within the main and side quests which I would encourage you to venture through and know the story.

    Truthfully, I should compare this to other RPG open world games run by other designers, writers, directors and producers. RDR2 may have come close to this but somewhat this is entirely a risky concept of creative ideas. It is a phenomenolly-not-fun-but-you-are-still-addicted-to-know-more type of fun. Even dozens of reviews have different long opinions of this game, no kidding. I remember the hype for FFXV game that I was waiting for something special. It didn't truly live up to this hype and expectations that I have. The camera angles was a bit hard to deal with and there's not much. There's always this restriction in games, which I couldn't really describe how to begin. This game, you will need to have an open mind playing this from the start till the end. Try everything and experience it. I love to hike, travel and camp outdoors, but I'm not so sure whether this applies to everyone who never explored in r/l. Frankly for you trolls out there, when the maximum load that you can carry is only 130kg. Do you expect to fill it to the brim without thinking about stable footing. Try doing it in r/l and see whether you could hike from one mountain to another.

    The plus point of this game is its unique social strand system. The online interaction allows you to lay down waypoints/ icons or equipment for other dimensional non-existent Sams to follow and use. They can give you 'Likes' on your waypoints and vice versa which is unique. Not only that, anyone can share built structures or even contribute to build roads. Also, you can also deliver lost cargo back to them or complete their objectives on their behalf. Contract orders, yadda-yadda for you to find out as I won't be giving more spoilers on this. Its best you buy this game and try it yourself. Likers will get liked. Ultimately, would I play this game a second time after completion. Definitely a yes. I have been playing action and FPS games all this months. This is definitely game of the year for me. The standards for games has been raised higher and the future of gaming looks promising.

You are hinting to the world that you guys are dumb that you don't have the patience to understand and appreciate someone's life's work. People won’t like it cause it is not cookie cutter like all the other games battlefield, call of duty, Mario, Zelda, Farcry lmao, assasins creed lmao. All games that will be rebooted till insanity.     this game is like euro truck simulator 2 hideo kojima version. you enjoy the road from A to B, and whatever that will happen in between. i feel sorry for everyone that thought this game will be "kill everyone but yourself and you win the game" or another COD "re-skinned".
    like some critics said, this game is too radical at this time. its either you love it or you hate it.

    This Game is just great. The atmosphere, the soundtrack and graphics were superb. The story was a little hard to follow at times but also really solid. The gameplay loop was addicting to me. It just isn‘t for everyone.

Death Stranding is a miserable game, and it's miserable specifically because all the parts Kojima was personally in charge of - design, gameplay and story - are all horrid. Audio and visuals are excellent all around, but the game itself is just Euro Trucker with gibberish for story.     Incredible cinematic experience. One of a kind game. The scenes and music give an epic feel to everything you do and I've enjoyed the experience of playing Death Stranding as much as any game I can remember.

    I bought this game due to the controversy and just had to see for myself. First of all, the world is beautiful and barren. It’s the apocalypse duh... It’s not just a walking simulator. It’s a journey and every step of the way is crucial. I’ve fallen, gotten chased by BTs and gotten stuck in the rain on top of a mountain. I had to find my way down and try not to destroy BB or my cargo.I bought this game due to the controversy and just had to see for myself. First of all, the world is beautiful and barren. It’s the apocalypse duh... It’s not just a walking simulator. It’s a journey and every step of the way is crucial. I’ve fallen, gotten chased by BTs and gotten stuck in the rain on top of a mountain. I had to find my way down and try not to destroy BB or my cargo. Every delivery seems very urgent and super satisfying once completed. Especially when I’m being chased by looters trying to steal my cargo and I make a quick escape. The lore and story are fantastic and it reminds me of Abrams “Cloverfield” kind of stuff. I love this game and am addicted. No hype here, I am no fan boy and in fact not a huge fan of the metal gear series. I don’t fall for hype. I just enjoy video games and honestly this game is refreshing. My back log is huge and I’m currently in Luigis Mansion 3, Astral Chain, DMC5, Code Vein and Pokemon Shield. I put them all down for this game. They will not be played until I finish what I dare to say is a GOTY contender. I haven’t been this hooked to a game this year since Sekiro. 9/10 for me.… Expand

    Simply one of the best games I have played. People calling it “boring” just don’t get it. Yes you are delivering packages from point a to point b but you have terrorists, monsters called bts, and the terrain to deal with. The game is excellent because it gives you loads of choice in how to deal with these issues which I love. Want to simply speed by the terrorist in a truck avoiding their attacks or sneak by the bts instead of combating them? You can also do that. There is tons of player choice when it comes to selecting your losdout for missions. You can bring plcs which let you build several different structures such as shelters and generators, you can bring ladders, ropes, power, speed, or terrain skeletons to boost weight capacity and mobility, different weapons, vehicles, and much more. The community features for this game are simply amazing. Once you connect an area to the chiral network you can use the structure and vehicles others have placed on the map and even send lines to other players. I have gotten so many likes for well placed roads and generators and it’s jusy a good feeling contributing to the game world, I love it.

    In my opinion, the people calling this game “boring” never gave it a chance in the first place. This is truly a 10/10 game in my opinion and I’m leaving a in depth review as to why.    … Expand

There is no connections between us and Sam bridget and his friends. I can't honestly believe that this was the end prodect of one of the most antipaticing games… Expand

    Its trash. If this was an xbox game it would've gotten a 3 out of 10. It's boring and repetitive. Enough to not make the decent story worth the waste of time. Just watch it on youtube and it'll save you some time.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
