    Kojima has done it again, there’s no game like this out there. It’s such an immersive experience and such a beautiful game. Can feel a bit fetch questy and repetitive but you have to look at the forest for the trees it’s about the journey not the destination. Yes you are simply delivering packages but getting there provides obstacles whether it be puzzling through the terrain, stealthingKojima has done it again, there’s no game like this out there.     I Need to say that this game is different is probably making a new gender in videogames so many people will not understand it but this game is a masterpiece you feel that you are in the game and not many games give you that feeling is a Beautiful game and is sad to see that people just see it as a walking game but is more than that but i believe this game is done only for chosen people.

    I have never seen and played something like that! Story grabs you in from the first hour!
    Amazing music, photo realistic graphic, never seen before gameplay mechanics. It is an Oscar worthy story! It is a must! I registered just to rate this game with 10! I highly recommend it!

    All the negative reviews are Frank and detailed from experienced gamers. The positive reviews mainly defend Kojima and attack the "trolls" without actually reviewing the game. This should be telling enough. The game is clearly boring, albeit visually stunning. The story is intriguing yes but told in a clumsy and repetitive fashion. Avoid.

    So far Death Stranding has been a very solid experience with unique and tense moments peppered by an interesting story. There absolutely IS gameplay here and it’s something pretty different. I’m personally having fun with the traversal mechanics and the gear planning and management.     I played only 6 hours and I didn't reach the chapter 3 yet (Kojima says that the good start there), but its a spectular game with a charismatics characters, execelent gameplay and obviusly the most original history I ve see in years

    It's full of little Details, sidekicks to classic literature, movies and philosophie!. Just google "Odradek" for instance, an item described as "useless" in Franz Kafkas "Die Sorge des Hausvaters"(1920).     Excellent game! This is a new take on gaming and I’m enjoying it to the fullest. Just take your time with it and enjoy it. Controls great and gameplay is intense when in BT territory. Game ideas and new mechanics (hiking gear, and movement physics) are very refreshing. Production values are top notch. If possible make sure you play it on a HDR capable tv it looks really amazing.

    It's basically a supreme metaphor for lootboxes and manages to keep the game mechanics interesting. Oh, and of course the atmosphere and storytelling is superb. Kojima Production has yet again reached a new level for the whole industry.

    Divisive, but important is how i would characterize this game. I have not completed the game yet, but i do feel the artistic aspects of the game even at the expense of genuine, innovative gameplay. It certainly is not perfect, yet bold at the same time. Are there better games, undoubtedly, but i cant help but feel this is still special in some way.

    It’s like asking a CallOfDuty player to review Witcher 3, and the reviewer starts complaining about respawn times. It makes no sense to complain about it because this is a survival game.

    Really people created multiple accounts just to post a variate of their fake story that they played it. This game is not for people that want a normal experience. If you are constantly looking for new experiences this is for you. I think the gameplay is fun, the cutscenes really work for me and the story is intriguing and totally original.

    This game is fire, story is on point, its like a movie, game has its fair amount of action since you can defend yourself and you dont just run and i think making the main enemies invisible makes the game more exciting, if all you want is pure fighting and action then this game isnt for you

    Un juego no son cinemáticas, para eso vas al cine y ves Avatar o el señor de los anillos, tener que tragarte minutos y horas de cinemáticas entre paseo y paseo es tedioso, aburrido y la historia tampoco es que sea ninguna maravilla es muy del montón. Me parece de lo peor este año.

    This "game" is a colossal disappointment. I played for five hours last night after release. I have never wanted a refund so bad. I liked MS5 for the most part, but this just nihilistic, boring, weird, and poorly thought out. The most exciting thing about this game was my wifes reaction to Norman Reedus taking a shower.

    Gorgeous game and interesting set up for a sci fi world ruined by terrible action sequences and poor dialogue. Metal Gear Solid had its own problems here and there when it came to the series, and Death Stranding takes all of them and triples down on them, while removing the military action background that made them fun. An interesting world with some mystery to it immediately starts getting flushed down the drain when the first character you encounter begins to awkwardly state basic facts of the world out loud mid conversation, because everything must be immediately explained to the player even though every character on screen already knows these things.

    And from there the forced inhuman dialog just continues to snowball. The second or third character you meet comes on screen and immediately begins to monologue how the world got to where it is while Reedus just silently stares at the man rambling basic information that people living in the world of the game already knows, seemingly out of his mind. Every time a character besides Norman Reedus is on screen they have to spew out the bad dialog and state of the world information that they're full of, awkwardly shoving fists full of the information down the players throat on the front end instead of letting the world reveal itself naturally and breathe. Overall the story is told with the subtlety of a freshman film school student, with the game acting like its revealing surprising twists 50+ hours into the game that it very clearly, willingly revealed of its own accord within the first 45 minutes or less

    The thing that the game is based on, traversing and exploring landscapes, is interrupted by poor action sequences while you must stealth your way around invisible enemies. This ends up being you just guessing which direction is okay to walk in with the help of a semi vague indicator of which way is safe to go before just jamming on the square button if you're caught. These sections just interrupt the pleasurable exploration of the world.

    The asynchronous player interaction is an interesting idea and is one of the interesting things about the game

    Overall an interesting idea and setup for a game that stumbles all over itself and steps on its own toes the whole long way to the end    … Expand

    The graphics, acting, music and story create an atmosphere that is unsurpassed in gaming.

    The gameplay is different and interesting, but it feels like some aspects are unfinished (vehicle handling is almost comical).

    In the current climate of near identical gameplay repackaged into a new game, Death Stranding gives me hope that fascinating games will be made into the future.

    the world building concepts seen in the trailers intrigued me and I liked the soundtrack from the trailers so I decided to give the game a shot. I'm about 18 hours in and I can say that it feels very polished and deliberate in what it does. The world from the tech to the clothing and environments are very detailed and well designed makeing this abstract world feel as close to real is it can. The game looks amazing on my 4k set up. I personally find the games themes compelling and I like the art direction and cinematography it's going for.

    The dialogue at the start is exposition heavy and tries to hammer in some terminology that is import to understand for both game play and story reasons but that's to be expected from a game so reliant on building up its world to Immerse the player. I think some people will enjoy this type of story telling but others will be turned off by all the scifi speak and might feel the game comes off as pretentious. I personally am a fan of these type of abstract metaphorical concepts in story telling so I am really appreciating the world building and the themes it's trying to get me to think about by putting me in Sam's shoes. Voice acting is very good as are the animations the writing can feel a bit odd at times and I think this due to the way words with multiple meanings are conveyed in English vs Japanese but overall its solid nothing I could really complain about.

    The game play I think will be a subjective point to most especially those who where lead to expect a more action oriented mgs approach to combat. Going in I expected this game to play sort of like a stealth horror game and to some extent it does. From a game design perspective horror games benefit from making the player feel limited that sense of limits adds tensions to situations by pushing the player to make use of their limited resources to overcome great odds. This is why the older residents evil games felt so much scarier than the newer action heavy entries. Death stranding is limiting in a lot of senses and I think that may put some people off but for me this creates a game of optimizations and efficiency. Since you have limited weight you can hold you have to plan what tools you can bring on your your journey. You plan out paths, set up bridges, ladders and ropes to make future travel or return paths more optimal because due to time fall you wanna limit cargo's exposure to the elements as much as possible. All the while the actual traversal requires you to constantly be micro managing your pathing over beautiful deliberately designed terrain to ensure you are not wasting unnecessary stamina or going over risky terrain unless it offers a notable shortcut. I personally find this game play loop engaging and the promise of eventual upgrades like cargo capacity upgrades and the ability to build highways for my vehicles to quickly go over problematic terrain has me excited.

    If the game can deliver a satisfying conclusion for its characters and world I will be able to say this is a game that does a lot right in my book but I think what people take away from this game will vary a lot depending on the person especially if they go into this game expecting your average third person open world game play loop. I don think it would be fair to ever call it a "bad game" by any means though from a pure game design perspective it has everything a core game play loop needs but it is by no means done in a traditional manner and that just wont appeal to everyone but what it does do, it undeniably does well.    … Expand

    Everything i hoped for and more! I've been a fan of this game since it was announced. The gameplay is the perfect mixture of complex and yet simple. This game is for a certain type players its not your average action game and its not your average fetch quest game either. Its the new genre strand.

Si se analiza este juego podría caer dentro de la categoría simulador (si..walking simulator, aunque trekking simulator es mas apropiado) y como todo simulador requiere paciencia, tranquilidad, estudio, preparación y práctica para lograr mejorar. Finalmente cuando logras entregar la carga de la misión y todas las cargas que te atreviste a recoger durante el trayecto te sientes realizado y mas aún cuando sabes que hay mas jugadores haciendo lo mismo y de alguna u otra forma hiciste su trayecto un poco mas fácil dejandoles una ayudita.

    PD: Les recuerdo que en juegos como League of Legends, Fornite, Call Of duty, FIFA, etc haces siempre lo mismo una y otra vez... no muy alejado de ir de un punto A a un punto B 20 veces.    … Expand

    unique and intuitive, a very fresh and fun experience

    i personally find the challenge of being a postman in this dystopian future to be thrilling and fun. Its such an absurd concept for a game, but somehow between the story and the game play mechanics i find it to be very rewarding.

    This game, is as deep as you could possibly want to go into a story. But and order to go that deep you are going to need the patience required to get there. If that doesn't sound like you then this game simply isn't for you. This game for one is right down my alley for the most part but could use some fine-tuning and its core mechanics to make it even better.

Честно, ни в одной игре Вы такого саундтрека не услышите! Ни в одной!), хорошая постановка кат-сцен и любопытный сюжет (довольно интригующий, я уже наиграла часов десять, разобралась со всеми терминами, как и что там происходит, но черт возьми ничего не понятно, обычно в играх сначала объясняют в самом начале от чего произошла катастрофа и бросают игрока все исправлять, в этой же похоже все наоборот, сначала исправь, а потом суть катастрофы и объяснят, но мне это интересно! Феномен просто!). В общем, если вы любитель медленного медитативного геймплея, довольно однообразного, но под хорошую музыку, с запутанным сюжетом, вам нравится помогать людям в онлайне, и видеть результаты труда других людей, которые 100% Вам помогут, то вполне вероятно эта игра Вам понравится. PS: не ленитель играть с ББ в персональной комнате, я так один раз скримака словила ;)… Expand

    A more elaborate version of "journey" meets "the postman". Although Kojimas message is anything but subtle his ambition in making a game that defies convention is a breath of fresh air in todays tedium of games. Solid game on all accounts if you have mind for patience and exploration.

    I don't know if it's the amazing graphics or the long journeys through man and ghost-infested lands, but this game "keeps dragging me back in." I've started over already because I feel like I could do better at certain parts and just enjoy the game all over again. This game definitely will be judged by you enjoying what the game has to offer. Should a game be pleasing to everyone? No. I don't like RDR2 nor The Witcher 3 for example, and never played a MGS game except for the first one on NES decades ago. But I like this game.     after putting almost 20 hours into this thing, still on chapter 2, (the very beginning of the game basically) I can say with 100% faith that a very large majority of people hating on it havnt played it much, if at all.

    "interactive movie" ha.. not even close.. you obviously have NOT played the game. "movie" has been maybe, if even, 5% of my game time, again, on chp 2. Any repetitive cutscene can be sklipped instantly.

    "boring" im assuming you think using an anolog stick while spamming R2 or Left Mouse to click on pixels for hours is intriguing game design...

    any complaint about the story/gameplay.. go back to Mr Man Mc Muscles, kill everyone and everything for the 100th time with "cool and crazy action set pieces," get your bad guy. your INTENSE Hollywood ending.. and move on to the next game just like it.

    Hell, even MGS fanbois... go back to your tranq gun, derp. best gameplay ever... -_-

    yes there is more to MGS than just tranqing everything in site.. but not really. Its all optional/have fun with it kinda stuff for the most part. All the crazy stuff you can do in DS is pretty much 100% necessity.. and honestly that's one of the coolest things about this game. You really do HAVE to take advantage of your options if you want to make it anywhere in the game.    … Expand

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
