    im a hog for kojima games. this is no exception. many see the gameplay as a big downside and i understand that, but personally, I really liked the minimalist design and simply enjoying the environments while walking a massive expanse. not only that but the story is as goofy as youd expect from kojima.

    The absolute best game I've played. I hike for my job and also have to carry equipment with me in remote areas and have to plan navigating the landscape in much the same way with equipment weight, safest paths or fastest routes, caution around bad weather, etc (minus the MulEs and BTs of course). I am therefore all about delivery games and this one blows your mind with the storyline,The absolute best game I've played.     You can love or hate Kojima but he is a genius. I was playing this game like crazy for over 200 hours. The story is quite exceptional and intriguing, the graphics quality is great and the game mechanics are great.

    A mesmerizing game, with layers of philosophical interpretation of politics and social interactions. I can't say in words what i feel playing it. Most important is the reaction of some people that understands the game and really try to do something out of it. Kojima did reinvent, even using some mechanics that kind exist.     On one hand, the story is great, the characters are interesting, the soundtrack is amazing, and it definitely has that Kojima vibe. But if you expect a lot of combat, you not gonna get much of it here. You're mostly just gonna walk from one big area to another, and that might not be you're idea for fun. Non the less, this game ain't crap.

    Interesting game, I like how different it is. Very beautiful and has a nicely moody soundtrack and unique world. The downside is that around 90% of the characters are white men. Very little diversity. Very few women and those that do exist are pretty one-note (they all seem to be "mother" figures).

    Good game, way overhyped by some. It’s kind of boring but more-ish. It’s weird, it’s hard to put down but yet it really isn’t that interesting. Felt they could’ve used Norman Reedus a bit more vocally than they actually did.

    Overall a solid game. The acting was fantastic, but sometimes the cinematic cut scenes were overly long; whereas, long periods of the game were slow (which some may enjoy). The story however, came to a great ending.

    If I knew coming into the game that the majority of me painstakingly having to balance packages on my back as I travel a diverse world I would have just saved myself the money. World is beautiful and voice acting and cutscenes are good but that’s about it.

    Al inicio del juego no logré engancharme pero con el tiempo de jugarlo se convirtió en uno de mis juegos favoritos. La gente lo ve como un simulador de mensajería pero creo que la historia con el bebé es algo mágico. Un gran juego

    This game isn't for everyone. It is a bit slower-paced, and the movement can be difficult. However, the game world is so unique and beautiful that you can't stop playing. The soundtrack is phenomenal and fits the game world very well. All in all, it is a very unique game and I applaud Hideo Kojima for trying to think outside of the box.

    El tiempo que tienes q invertir en el, para mi, simplemente no vale la pena, con el trabajo y las obligaciones que muchos tenemos, no se puede desperdiciar 40 o 50 horas un juego que de las más de 12 horas que llevo jugadas son de lo peor que he visto en mucho tiempo.

    Las mecánicas son horribles y están completamente rotas, el desafío es nulo, el juego es aburridísimo, el menú son lo peor, la historia es de lo que menos puedo hablar, aunque la amenaza es estar a la altura del resto ... muy mal.

    Lo que no se es bajo que autoridad Hideo Kojima se piensa q le puede tomar el pelo así a la gente, no solo el dinero y los 60 pavos q vale, que que ese es otro tema ...

    Sino las horas de tiempo que tienes q invertir en este juego, esta claro que por lo que él logró después, en el último tramo parece que mejora (aunque no pondría la mano en el fuego por ello).

    Si no os queda ningún otro juego importante de esta generación, os sobra tiempo, dinero, y ten mucha gente jugadlo, de lo contrario salid huyendo, podéis hacer cosas mucho mejores con vuestro tiempo que jugar al Death Stranding.

    I played the PS5 port. I have mixed feelings about this game.
    Pros:
    - The graphics are really good, the characters, the scenery, everything - The performance of the actors are amazing, all of them were a great choice for their respective character - Sweet and cute interactions with your BB - A lot of items to perform deliveries faster, and to ensure your survival - Great DualSense    I played the PS5 port. I have mixed feelings about this game.
    Pros:
    - The graphics are really good, the characters, the scenery, everything
    - The performance of the actors are amazing, all of them were a great choice for their respective character
    - Sweet and cute interactions with your BB
    - A lot of items to perform deliveries faster, and to ensure your survival
    - Great DualSense effects on PS5!
    Cons:
    - Sometimes the game forces you to walk very long distances, later it will get better with vehicles, and other upgrades, but still...
    - I hated the ghost parts, they were scary, true, but unfun
    - The environment is empty overall, sure, there are some settlements, and mules, but they are very rare, and the mules are very rarely part of the main game

    I think this is a well made game, it's just not for me, however, I was hooked by the story, and eventually finished it, but not because of the lackluster gameplay.    … Expand

    The game is not trying to be the best game ever created and also it is not trying to involve you to enjoy it but it can be enjoyable after a while for people who liked a unique way of storytelling of kojima and rare ideas. game has its good gameplay, complicated story, long cutscenes (most of people didn’t like it ) and it’s unique characterisation. While I really liked the underlying story, the rest of the game is just boring. As others have mentioned you spend more time trying to balance your items on a mostly uneven world over anything else. The sheer level of frustration in this game is enough where I actually regret spending time and money on this. How annoying is it when you have a vehicle with all of your resources only to have it get stuck in a ditch you can't get out of?

    Building the road is a waste of time and even after you build it there are destinations that it is so far out of the way that you spend so much time going around other areas. They couldn't build a roadway across the later part of the mountain??? Also the cargo truck is so ridiculously slow...like who cares about realism...I want to get from point A to B and not have to spend 5 minutes driving to it.

    And that gets me to the mountain. We have these vehicles to get around the area but they couldn't create a snowmobile to get around the mountain? Instead I have to walk like I am in molasses and while in some sections can't recover my stamina because I am mid way through a mission. I ended up falling so many times and losing my cargo.

    I would say avoid this game unless you feel like you want to just be a UPS/FedEx delivery driver in a simulation, get frustrated, and an added storyline.    … Expand

    Just finish story. I can admint its geting boring in some point to deliver this parcerls but the story is mindblowing and the last chapter is playing on our at least on my emotions. The long story and repetive missions are done with perpouse to band player with characters to put some emotions betwen player and character we control and the one are close to us.     I am late to the party on this one but I loved this game. It is a walking simulator - if you like exploring and finding things out of yourself this is a great game. Throw in some Kojima madness and you have enough of a reason to keep playing.

    I would have liked an option within the game to say, this is the point of no return like you get with Witcher 3.     Could be a bit of marmite game to be honest for some people. But if you connect with it, it is a good story and gets you thinking. You are kind of going to either love or hate it ... I don't think there will be much of a middle ground.    … Expand

Movement is a constant struggle with obstacles, there is no strafing unless you're aiming a weapon, so to change directions requires a small circle which can unintentionally send you in a random direction (e.g. off a cliff).

    For repeatability, let's just say I finished it and I will never play this game again.    … Expand

    It's normal for some people to find the gameplay boring. But I enjoyed every second while playing and transporting cargo in snowy mountains and wide terrain. The story and characters are impressive.

Вторая четверть постройки и онлайн приколы с теми же эмоциями и ощущением что ты не один и другие люди играющие чем то помогают. Третья четверть это самое после чего многие могут забить, это много одного и того же, но ты уже погружен туда и не остановишься. Последняя четверть это очень много эмоций сюжета и катсцен, вроде финал и титры, но это не конец и не титры.. И финал, тут у меня нет слов это целый фильм, финал это целый фильм таких катсцен ещё не было , таких эмоций тоже давно. Все это приправлено постоянным ощущением на протяжении игры что рядом непонятный враг и нереально сильным общим сюжетным посылом.

    Это очень крутой артхаус среди игр.

    I followed this game since the first teaser. In the end the game didn't match my genre, it felt really horror. Still I tried the game and it became one of my favourite games in the last 25 years of gaming. The scenery, the music, the open world, the scary moments, the story, the feeling when you reach your destination after a long and hard trip was amazing!!! Thank you for this game!!!

    I actually liked it, I mean, the base gameplay mechanic is still just walking around, but it's really enjoyable. You should try it at least, the game is not that expensive right now, so if you hate it after buying it, you don't loose that much money

    "This game introducced a new genre" . People say that but it is only half true although this game has nice visuals and story . This ain't no movie . This is a videogame . And lets see .ooh wait a minute delivering packages in a unfinished buggy and frustrating game aint fun . Its seems like it pushes creativity down you throat but all feel the same .

    This game is a masterpiece. It does require to get into it, so patience is key. I see that a lot of bad reviewers haven’t even own the game and just spew lie about it. Production quality is top notch and it’s really groundbreaking!

    Attention ce jeux va énormément diviser.
    Pour ma part j'ai été porté par la DA et l'OST.
    J'ai passé un très bon moment dessus, le gameplay est sympa, ça change des jeux habituel de ce calibre.
    Le plus simple est de tester et vous faire votre propre avis. Après je comprend parfaitement que certains n'aient pas du tout accroché ;)

    There are some problems with this game.
    Sometimes the Physics of vehicles pisses you off, enemies are annoying, tracks are sometimes boring. But the story, the music of Low Roar, and Iceland views make this game special for me.

    Very unique experience, ive always loved the idea of realistic exploration and traversal in video games and Death Stranding is the master. It might not be for everyone but if you value creative and unique game design you owe yourself a playthrough.

    I mean the plot is so stupid is almost irritating! You are the son of the president and you don't even know? Wtf man...
    I doubt I will finish it. And I got to the end of some of the most boring games ever, but **** this menù **** and the gameplay that doesn't exist.    … Expand

J'ai mis 1 an avant de me lancer dans Death Stranding après sa sortie suite aux avis mitigés que j'avais pu lire. Et là en quelques heures seulement j'ai été captivé par la découverte, les paysages grandioses, les morceaux musicaux sélectionnés qui vous transportent totalement (Low Roar / Silent Poets / Woodkid dans la director's cut).
    J'ai pris une grosse claque et j'ai été fasciné par cette expérience. C'était mon premier Kojima ! (jamais joué aux Metal Gear), c'était mon premier Platine PS4 ;)    … Expand

    This is the single most boring waste of 50 plus hours I've ever spent. Literally the only thing I enjoyed about it was Norman Redus. I kept waiting for something to happen, but no. You go from point A to point B, about a hundred or so times with 3 to 4 "boss fights". I'll never understand how or why so many people like this.

    In my 40 years playing videogames i have never been so frustrated with a game in my life. you literally spend 70% of your time walking or driving back and forth making deliveries.     Cut scenes you've seen 1000 times before get annoying and some take 4, yes FOUR skip scenes to actually get through, enter elevator, skip scene, connect to bb, skip scene, bb scene, skip scene, elevator making it to the top, skip scene. like really man? oh and sometimes you can't just skip the scene normally, you need to pause the game to skip the scene because why? you're guess is as good as mine.

    i give it a 2 for the beautiful graphics and music. anyone who gives it anything higher than a 5 is paid, played maybe 5minutes of it or certifiably nuts.    … Expand

Сюжет не плохой, но притянуто за уши сочувствие ко всем персонажам и их мотивация. Просто бред кричать что "Коджима гений!" и тд. и тп. Проходил на максимальном уровне сложности, на котором игра еще и в бесконечный гринд превращается.
    Визуал отличный, графика супер. Интерфейс слегка чудной, в плане загрузки грузов и тп. Еле-еле свыкся к концу игры.
    Можно конечно сказать что атмосферой и живостью персонажей игра не такая пресная, но доставлять грузы из точки А в точку Б по 30 (а то и больше минут) это конечно убивает весь геймплей, чем бы и как бы это не было обосновано.
    Меньше вопросов было к Last Of Us 2, которую как по мне все несправедливо захейтили.
    Все фишки PS5 присутствуют.

    Pretty weak game. I could only beat it with my 3d attempt. Normally I would give it 5/10, but in regards to the ending I can give it +1.

The world felt empty... but i need to say after 20h o find that actually nice. It let me chill after busy day and enjoy the views.
    Story - the stand out part of the title. Its original and full of hitting moments. I cried like 2 times during the ending. It something that really impacted me as a player.
    Graphics - just wow.
    Music - hard to rate as the game goes almost silent most of the time... But as you going downhill after that hard walkthrough and game starts playing low roar.. wow.
    I will not make it longer. As i loved it as it was 10/10 i must give it a 8.    … Expand

    The maniacal laughter you hear in the back of your head while playing this game is real. It's Kojima laughing on his way to the bank, and Sony cracking up about it's lousy self-serving return policy.

    Es un buen juego, un poco largo y difícil de entender pero una vez que comienzas a jugarlo es muy difícil parar. Tengo la versión del director de ps5 y gráficamente notable. Quizás la historia podría haberse mejorado para hacerla más fácil de comprender y no colocar tantas cinemáticas pero en general es una buena obra.

However that's it, after a while it becomes monotonous, you get used to graphics and lose interest immediately.     This game is not even close for everybody. If you are looking for an action experience, this is not the game for you. It’s a video game with meditative gameplay, fantastic music and great world detail.
    Death stranding is talking story about people.
    This game is the living world that transformed not only thanks for you, but by the other players.
    It’s wow.

    I've platinum-ed this game with 120+ hours of gameplay.
    This is not just a walking stimulator. Glad that I didn't listen to the trend and brought it and played it.
    Fantastic experience for a true gamer that have patient to really enjoy a game.

A powerful climate. The interface is sometimes not very readable, but after some time I got it. It's fun to think about. There's krafiting and stuff like that. Addictive storyline. Optimization super, no drops in fps, etc. Online system in the story great, this is the first time I meet with such a solution. You can wash, pee, **** sleep, massage, etc. Nir has a problem with reading textures. The world is vast, you can enter anywhere. After heavy orders, there is great satisfaction when, for example, you have to go to the top of the mountains where the blows are freezing with the motor, you cannot do it and then you are pulled in by the tar 3 times which spreads goods from your backpack and then your skeleton is discharged and there is no charger nearby and you do not have you have an assembler or you are not within the hieral network.     As usually when it’s a kojima game, powerful story top-notch characters revolutionary gameplay mechanics, Cliff unger (mads) killed it ! He was the key of this game strength therefore well deserved best performance award, despite all that the only reason of not giving this game a 10 is the slow pacing in the middle of campaign duo to the repititive gameplay

It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
