    While it is a shame that they took off the jet-ski mini-game and cut off some features, it's still a decent entry in the Xtreme franchise. For the amount of content you get, it IS fairly overpriced. But, if you just appreciate it for what it is, then it is a very enjoyable game. Of course, most people will buy this for the eye candy, but the game has its various other charms and canWhile it is a shame that they took off the jet-ski mini-game and cut off some features, it's still a decent entry in the Xtreme franchise. Of course, most people will buy this for the eye candy, but the game has its various other charms and can sometimes get addicting as you try to collect all the swimsuits (though it will also get tedious as you go for the Platinum). All in all, it's not the best Xtreme title, but it's still a good purchase for DOA/Xtreme fanatics.… Expand

    Very fun game that is very unique. Not meant to be an epic but rather an eye feast. Graphics are awesome and it has a fun atmosphere. Give it a try,your inner gamer will thank you.

This is an excellent entry into the franchise, and it largely exists because Tecmo Koei listened to fan feedback from DOAX2's stumbles. If you've played an Xtreme title, then you already know what to expect. What I find most disturbing about DOAX3's release is not the gratuitous sexualized content thatThe user review by belts echoes many of the things I would have said in my review. What I find most disturbing about DOAX3's release is not the gratuitous sexualized content that became the focus of its western press, but the biased and vendetta-driven journalism surrounding it here in the west. Thus far, the "professional" reviews have been highly subjective, presented offensive speech that has little to do with the game in question, and even contained blatant inaccuracies concerning the game's content. Having spent nearly 40 hours with DOAX3, I can honestly say it is the most refined and enjoyable game in the series, and the core volleyball mechanics return to the simple yet nuanced controls that made DOAX1 a hit. Believe it or not, these things are important to Xtreme fans, and while the gorgeous graphics and body physics may add to the allure, they would not be enough without solid gameplay to keep us grinding. Keep in mind that this is an Asian release with English subtitles and has not officially been released in the west. Professional review sites don't typically bother with imports, so beware of those that may make an exception for DOAX3, especially since many seemed poised to "take a stand" against the game before it was even released.     The fact that Metacritic allows these reviews for a game that didnt come out in the US is against its own rules set by Metacritic.
    And it shows the Agenda against Japanese Games and Japanese Review Sites applied by Metacritic and the certain review sites like Destructurd who are at the forefront here.
    Why do you guys now all of the sudden care about reviewing this game that doesnt even    The fact that Metacritic allows these reviews for a game that didnt come out in the US is against its own rules set by Metacritic.

    This game is a very fun and relaxing game. The graphics are amazing and volleyball is very fun. There is enough to keep you coming back for days.

    ignore the 37 rating they don't have a clue.

    It's a fun little game. It will give you your money's worth but it isn't for everybody. This is for the people who enjoy fan service type games like Senran Kagura and would like to see their DoA characters doing something else. Also, for those of us who didn't own Xbox consoles and this is our first foray into the world of DoAX is a great entry title. If you aren't into digital boobs thenIt's a fun little game. It will give you your money's worth but it isn't for everybody. This is for the people who enjoy fan service type games like Senran Kagura and would like to see their DoA characters doing something else.     Team Ninja listened to their fans and finally did a new DoaX entry. All greater issues from DoaX2 got fixed but sadly some content got cut as well. But instead we got the most sexy DoaX game to this date with many features that got patched in over time. I write this review one year later because I think it's fair to wait and see how the game evolved over time. The updates for the game included: Lotions to soften or harden their bodys, synced lip voice acting, a fan to lighten up their clothes, destructible swimsuits, many bugfixes and ui optimations, new quests to absolve, higher Owner Level cap, a Photo Paradise where you can get over 100 poses for every girl that you can unlock, 22 Swimsuit sets for free that rotate in a cycle, a attention getter item, a key to lock the swimsuit change from the ai, little free presents in the store and yes the game even got an VR update and it's exactly what you would expect. I bet I forgot some things because their are so many of them that got patched in. All in all this is the DoaX game I wanted without Jet Skis sadly but with great volleyball again. 10/10.… Expand

    Apparently there is a lack of content, but the modeling of the girl is excellent and seems to return to 60 frames. The photo-gravure mode or VR that is patched later is good. It would be better if you only reinforce the content.

    Very relaxing game. If I were to sum it up it would be "Tropical private resort vacation simulator."
    Minigames feel like an arcade kind of experience. Not deep but still fun. Something about this game feels like it should be on a SEGA console. Soundtrack is fun and relaxing, just like the scenery. Bathing suit collection options are diverse and thoughtful. They aren't just    Pros:

    Graphics while beautiful and smooth could be better.
    Could benefit from just a bit more depth in game play and more characters.

    Overall:
    Bumping from a high 9 to a 10 based on unfair mainstream reviews. Yes the game is meant to be sexy, but it is mostly tasteful unlike something over the top like Senran Kagura. Haters gonna hate and teenagers gonna teenage, but make no mistake this is not a porn game. If you want to kick back and relax to a game for a few minutes, put it down and come back later just to absorb a bit of the virtual island life, this may be the escape for you. If you don't believe me, let me offer you this tidbit: My girlfriend recommended this game to me because she loves the series.

    10/10 will gladly play the next one.

    I think this game deserves an 8. It doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. You know what you're getting and you'll get it in spades. But I'm giving it a 10 to counterbalance the biased critics' reviews.

If the game has fanservice, especially with an anime aesthetic, critics will give it an unfairly negative review so people don't think    I think this game deserves an 8. If a game is "progressive" and has LGBT characters in it, you can be sure it will get unwarranted rave reviews. I find this game excellent the graphics are amazing, plenty of stuff to do and lots of replay value quite frankly I'm appalled that this game wasn't given an North American release. I recommend this game to Casual Gamers that want a break from the 1000 Shooter games that are released every day its a good relaxing game but make sure your spouse is out of the room as they may get jealous lol, this game has many different mini-games to partake in like Volleyball, Butt Bumping(seriously), Tug Of War, Rock Climbing, Etc. or you can go into Owner mode and snap pictures of the lovely ladies (which is my favorite part), there's various missions to complete which raises your Owner Level and gives you some cash to spend in the in-game store on various stuff like Bathing Suits, Sun-Tan Lotion, and Various Gifts for the other girls, etc. only gave it an 8 as you need a Japanese PSN account to access the DLC (which sucks big time), also I recommend anyone easily offended to steer clear from this game… Expand

    Relaxing game, shame that they cutoff alot of from the cast. Hopefully DLC will fix that. Other game content was cut aswell, the graphics look amazing though.

    insane graphics and super fast load times. the game its self is amazing. the new moves and fighting system are incredible visually, and add more depth. the season pass is what people are freaking on.
    Generally though, I'd advise that, unless you're really serious about the franchise xD

    Incontestablement le Dead or Alive le plus hot le plus sex de la licence.
    Les modes de jeu sont classes le mode photo est excellent pour captures les personnages dans les poses les plus excitantes.
    La progression pour tout débloquer est lente mais bon côté car ça pousse à passer du temps sur le jeu.
    Le jeu a deux défauts pas assez de personnages et pas de multijoueur.

    Incontestablement le Dead Or Alive le plus sex et le plus hot ! Les modes de jeu sont variés le mode photo pour les poses très suggestives en maillot de bain. Le seul bémol y a pas assez de personnages venant des Dead Or Alive canoniques

    I love that game series since the first one, that one is a very good example of how you make a good game for fans and the best example that proves that this game is amazing are the negative reviews of the 'specialists' if they say a game is bad it is usually good, if they say is good it is usually horrible.

No wonder there has been some markets like Europe who were not gonna von for this title, but I like the visualization very much. I really would like to see the game integrating a fast forward feature for it is so incredibly repetitive, you may loose your mindBad menus, bad dialogues, irrelevant storylines , boring mini games, what’s to like here?     If you like the Dead or Alive Girls this is the perfect game. Unfortunately, many activities that were in part 2 are not in part 3. Still, that's fan service.

    I picked up the switch version of the game last year after putting off getting the game for years. Really liked the gameplay, the graphics, and the features on top of having a portable version of the game. I'll admit I mostly bought the game for the controversy it caused when it was released to the public back in 2016.     This game knows what it wants to do, and it executes it flawlessly. The loss of characters and some of the more enjoyable mini-games is certainly a bummer, but let’s be honest, that is never why anyone played this game.

    In its current state, Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 is a nice game to relax and unwind with, but beyond that it’s a very disappointing and lazy entry into the Xtreme series.

    If you're coming here for the gameplay, forget Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 as nothing has evolved on that topic for the last decade. If you want to peep at sexy girls, you're in the right place as everything was made with this goal in mind. A game to store on the ecchi shelf.
