Its a solid title, not nearly as bad as some suggest. ITs got a decent story and fun combat that clicks when you click with it. The camera can be a bit wonky, as well as some of the platforming.

The only other critique I have is with the overall level design. It doesn't match with the level of awesome character models. The evirons in contrast are much more samey and just not as well

I had a blast playing Darksiders III and I felt the combat was a major improvement over the first two games (love getting that perfect dodge), though I understand how fans of the first two hack and slashers may have been put off by this shift in combat style (I was at first). This is also a VERY hard game and does not feel very balanced until after leveling up to around level 40. I recommend starting on "Balanced" difficulty and saving the harder settings for new game +, but that's just my opinion to make it fair and fun the first time through (I thought it was still hard enough on the balanced setting). Terrible. Ridiculous writing, unlikable characters, terrible one-click fighting system. Everything looks clunky, cartoonish and arcade. They tried to make another Dark Souls, but we ended up with a Poundland Sonic knock-off. I got it for free and I still feel like I overpaid.

And unfortunately the game didnt sold well, now the hope for an ending for the franchis dont looks like its coming soon Expand

Furry isn't a warrior. Is a stupid celebrity.

And the begining of the game? Oh my, the council admitting such disrespect That's not a comic show!!

Just like a cross between Jak & Daxter (without guns) and the classic version of God of War. Pretty fun game. They definitely need to patch it to run better on the PS5. 60fps would be so easy for a game like this!

So this is a personal one...

I recently played the first two games and they kind of reignited my love for gaming, which has been lost for a while. And then I started this. First thing I notice is a solid framerate of 15-25 fps at most. In no way do the graphics or gameworld justify this one bit. Don't get me wrong, it looks good and all, but there are games, that look better and don't have these issues. With the stuttering follows the frustration. Dodging is wonky as hell and you lose orientation pretty easy. The concept of finding the seven deadly sins is a cool idea, but not executed in the most engaging way. And when you reach the sins themselves YOU WILL RAGE because of the afformentioned issues. There are attackes, which you either have to be very lucky to dodge (positionwise) or are damn near impossible to predict and thus to dodge. Darksiders 3 has a few cool aspects to its gameplay and the dialogue is kind of funny, at least between Fury and the Watcher, but other characters are dismissable and forgetable. Next thing is the map. Why do we not get to see the worldmap or partial maps? This complicates traversing and backtracking in a way, that I don't want to do it. The first games had one and they are 8 and 6 years older. Another feature completely gone is quicksaving. The only times the game sets a checkpoint is when you find a Vulgrim location, manual saving is completely gone. This makes many parts of the game exremely frustrating, when you die and you have to do 15-20 mins of gameplay all over again. Another thing, which bugs me is consumeables being gone after dying. I buy shards from Vulgrim before I fight a boss, I use a shard, I die and the shard is gone and I can't buy another one, because all my souls are gone. I really want to like it, but the amount of missing features, framedrops and frustrating moments make it very hard for me to do so. Very sad and disappointing.

Darksiders 3 is an interesting mishmash of gameplay design choices that never quite coalesces into something great, but is fundamentally dragged down by a terribly mediocre story that is defined by awfully conceived characters and woefully written dialogue. It's a shame then, because the combat is relatively engaging despite some clunky design flaws.

Basically just the ugly parts of darksiders one.. builsdings, subways, wood.. and one gorgeous underwater level.. but this is definitely the lowest effort game in the trilogy… no horse this time, just follow the skull on the map, do annoying frustrating not fun at all puzzles, and take down the 7 deadly sins which was the coolest part to me.. I was excited to see the twist of each one.. and sadly its just a run of the mill boss battle, .. the character design can be cool, but the battles are super lame.. as you progress the story youll unlock 4 different forms, a fire that can help you jump hier, electric that can help you levitate, some purple rock smashy power, and finally a power that lets oyu walk on water… and what does the game do with these powrs? They annoy you.. especially in the final few hours, forcing you to juggle them, hit this with this form, quickly switch to this form mid puzzle to freeze it in time to progress,.. mind you.. transforming is not intuitive, you gotta hold and press certain buttons all while making ssure youre zoomed in with the boomerand and selecting with l2 and throwing with r2 all while holding l1 down and going through the face buttons trying to remember who is who.. I hted it.. I hated every time a puzzle required 2 chracters simultaneously to solve… other than that I love the darksiders formular of collect osuls, spend them on upgrades, its as addictive here as it is in the previous games..
I midly enjoyed my time here, tracking down the 7 deadly sins, but wow did darksiders go from AAA potential to single A real quick
    I give Darksiders 3
    a 6.5/10

    The bad:
Terrible performance. Yes, even on PS5. the frame rate might be a stable 30, but the lack of motion blur makes it feel horrible. It should be illegal to make a game run at 30 fps without motion blur
The graphics look.... like they are from the PS3 gen, but this is not nearly as big an issue as the performance

Only a few areas in the game seem to have glitches where texture mapping takes a few seconds to load when walking into a new area but apart from that this game is down right gorgeous to look at for the most part and I also love the combat and levelling mechanic which is similar to Dark Souls.

I didn't hate the story but they clearly put a lot more effort into one or two of the bosses dialogue than the rest of them. Feels like they didn't care about the beginning of the game.

Combat feels OK for the most part. The respawn of enemies upon death isn't needed. It doesn't add anything to the game.

I’d much rather have a meaty and engaging adventure that’s happy to embrace its videogame origins over a lavishly budgeted and beautiful ‘experience’ littered with dull introspective and endless navel gazing. Darksiders III gleefully provides the former while completely shunning the latter, and I’m all for it.
