    Praise of the sun para esse jogo maravilhoso, foi primeiro da franquia que joguei em 2018 e agora termino ele novamente em 2020, simplesmente um dos melhores jogos que já joguei.

    Dark Souls is one of the best games ever made. Treats older players as they have learned to play. And it teaches new players the delights of the rewards of participating in a great, well-built, refined, and difficult game as a fair one is expected to be.

    I've never played the original Dark Souls which, I imagine, would by now have some not-so-well-aged mechanics, graphics etc. I expected this remaster to be much more modern, but it really felt like playing a PS3 game. Dark Souls is of course a trilogy of high quality so I could enjoy the game regardless of my slight disappointment with this remaster.

    Replaying this game (again) but with slightly better graphics was a wonderful bliss that I think more people would like as long as they give the game a chance to draw them in.

    One of the best Games known to mankind.
    From Software is a safe heaven for the Gaming community.

    I didn't play this real time video game much, well I did play it a little, I beat the first boss, but not the second boss.

    Currently I am stuck on the second boss right now and I cannot make a progress until I beat the second boss of this real time video game.     Maybe this is good that this real time video game doesn't have an easy mode, because this way you both have to learn how to play better and get better in real time video gaming in order to continue playing this real time video game. Otherwise you are just stuck forever.

    I don't care that I am stuck on the second boss, because for me, this real time video game is still very fun to play and for me this what makes this real time video game so good.

    All games that I consider bad are games that are too boring.

    Personally I cannot play any game that is too boring, even if the game is extremely easy and I can finish it very easily without any effort.    … Expand

    I've been playing videogames every since 30 years ago and started playing Darksouls in July 2020 for the first time. All I can say is this game is glorious!! It is one of the best games I ever played in my life. If you like playing RPG type like Castlevania symphony of the night this game is a must play! Comoletely time worth!

    The remastered version is my first experience with the game so I will be reviewing this version as the full game and not how well of a remaster it is.

    I'll cut this review in 3 parts:

    1. Gameplay
    2. Story
    3. Replayability

    Gameplay:
    Dark Souls' combat is hard, but super fun. I know this one feels a lot more slow and clunky as it is based of of a game that came out in 2011, but this didn't bother me at all, I got used to it rather quickly. The obvious jewels of these games are the boss fights, and while they aren't as bombastic as the new entries they aren't all that bad. Some of them are slow and boring, yes, I agree. But then you have the classics like Gwyn, The 4 Kings, Ornstein and Smough, Black Dragon Kalameet, Arteries, Manus, etc. and you really can't get enough of those. This system rewards you for playing it a lot and mastering the game tactics so you can get better. There's no hand holding. You gotta figure it out all by yourself. And that's why when you finally get the hang of it it's even more rewarding, you get that adrenaline rush on your first playthrough that is just undescribable. The visuals are not that good, which shouldn't come as a surprise, but the 60 FPS is a nice bonus. I don't often talk about music in my reviews but you all know how amazing the music is in the Souls games, this one is no exception, go buy that soundtrack.

    Story:
    If I need to dive deep in the lore i'll be here for 2 days, so let me make this quick. You're an Undead that was resurrected by the Curse of the Undead to link the First Flame of Lord Gwyn and perpetuate the Age of Fire, your journey will be long and difficult, as you need to ring the Bells of Awakening, one deep down and one above, to then enter the fortress to get a passage to Anor Londo, the home of the Gods. You then get a vessel in which you need to plant the three Souls of powerful beings to then open the door to the Kiln of the First Flame and then defeat Gwyn to restore the First flame or choose not to to usher in the Age of Men and Dark. Sounds complicated? Because it is. And none of this is explained in the game directly to you, you need to carefully listen to dialogue and read item description to know more about this world. Such a cool way of presenting a story, and with all the Souls games it has always worked perfectly.

    Replayability:
    This game can be played in so many different ways, it's insane. Yes the story does play out the same except for the 2 different endings, but the customisations you can make with your character are plentiful. You can be a pyromancer that's shoot black flames, a sorcerer that enchants weapons, a walking tank, a super heavy dps build, a ninja with katanas, etc. you name it. So much potential here.

    My final verdict: 9/10
    While this remaster is not really a remaster but a cash grab, for people who have never played the first game this is such a good way to experience it!    … Expand

    This is just Dark Souls with 60 FPS and higher resolution (on pro). Not that it is a bad thing since the game is an epic adventure. Has amazing features as new game + and varied classes. The bosses can sometimes be a challenge. The only boss I have a problem is the Bed of Chaos but the community already knows that xD.

    The remaster itself is decent, but some oversights are also present. You still can't warp    Dark Souls remains one of the most memorable games of the past decade; and this new remaster, despite lacking a few needed tweaks; is the best way to play it. The remaster also includes the 'Artorias of the Abyss' DLC, which is a nice addition if you've never played it in the original release.

    The remaster itself is decent, but some oversights are also present. You still can't warp between bonfires until around halfway through the game, which can be annoying at times and you also lack the ability to climb ladders quickly or slide down them.     Bosses: This is one of the main attractions. The bosses are brutal, but balanced (with maybe 1-2 exceptions). There is such a fantastic range in bosses that you have to play the game to experience it. You want secret bosses? DS has it. You want ranged bosses? DS has it. You want to topple an armoured giant? DS has it. Not only that, all the bosses have a great variety in attacks and mechanics that force you to change your play style to defeat them. It's always fascinating to see which bosses other players found the easiest and the hardest, because sometimes one boss will feel intuitive to you but not to someone else.

    Story: DS is notorious for leaving the story up to the player. The storytelling is specific enough to direct you through the game, but vague enough that the greater meaning is up to you. Just like with the bosses, different people will take different things away from the game.

    This game (along with Demons Souls) kicked off an entire genre in gaming. If you're into dark fantasy or RPGs this is the game for you.    … Expand

    The punishing nature is still there and I enjoyed every moment of just trying to figure out the next step in the adventure in a very intuitive way. While there were no instructions you can still make it from beginning to end if you just explore the beautiful yet dreadful world a little bit.

    Basically, challenging bosses, lots of classes and weapons to choose from, freedom to explore as you please and fantastic lore. Doesn't disappoint even when playing this after Dark Souls 3.    … Expand

    First of All I am in love with dark souls and the souls serious in general, ya this game is a more port then remaster but still that doesn’t change the fact dark souls in it self remastered or not is still a game that brings you in an Adventure and It’s hard to forget and ya it bugged but that shouldn’t stop people playing it and even so things like Skyrim and buggy as hell but it stillFirst of All I am in love with dark souls and the souls serious in general, ya this game is a more port then remaster but still that doesn’t change the fact dark souls in it self remastered or not is still a game that brings you in an Adventure and It’s hard to forget and ya it bugged but that shouldn’t stop people playing it and even so things like Skyrim and buggy as hell but it still people love this game to death including me.     A classic. Is a must play, but of course, it has a few problems: the second half of the game feels worst than the first, enemies feel slow and the game easier with time, and some other minor things that wont stop you to enjoy this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First time playing the first Dark Souls and it was great. The level design here compared to DS3 is harder and more complex and in more ways than one it is better. I have heard tales of the infamous Sen's Fortress and loved playing through it to get to the boss despite the annoying deaths. I have also heard the tales of the beauty of Anor Londo, and seeing it was glorious. The city basked in what seemed like an eternal sunset and with the slick architecture made the large city feel even grander. And perhaps the most important tale is that of the Firelink Shrine music, hearing it whenever you find shortcuts or go from X to Y and you find that a path leads back the shrine is wonderful.
    However, there are some garbage places too, like Demon Ruins with its stretched-out design filled with reskins of enemies and boring bosses. I also disliked Tomb of Giants, for the gimmick of not being able to see anything until you get the lantern. Despite being smaller than most areas, the idea of using the lantern to see and changing your playstyle is interesting, but it was more annoying and boring than fun.

    On the note of bosses, you either get really easy and simple design-wise and overall quite trash, like Stray Demon, Bed of Chaos to name a few. Or you get absolute bangers of bosses, Like Gwyn, Artorias and Manus, that are challenging but extremely fun to play against. Basically the highs of the bosses and areas are really high, but the lows of them are quite low indeed.

    The graphics were expected but I didn't have too much of a problem with them. The music and sound quality were fantastic though, beautiful and haunting. The game had an Intriguing story with a mysterious set of characters and the basis for many loved ones. Reading other reviews suggest that as a remaster, this didn't hit the mark, but I can't review it over the same basis. Albeit, I confidently say that as my first experience of the Dark Souls, it certainly was phenomenal.    … Expand

    I tried the game, I failed and I gave it 6 points... then months later I tried again and everyone who mastered DS knows this feeling - suddenly everything became clear. The grafics are bad, the controlls are even worse, it is buggy, it is unfair and it tells you nothing about how to do any of the things you have to do. But that all doesn't seem to matter, it is amazing. Sometimes only theI tried the game, I failed and I gave it 6 points... then months later I tried again and everyone who mastered DS knows this feeling - suddenly everything became clear. Sometimes only the big picture is what really counts. + what really amazes me is the fact that there are so many optional areas the game also doesn't tell you about for example Ash Lake, Painted World etc. Everywhere are hidden paths, items, bosses - I can't imagine how many hours it took and how much imagination people needed to find everything hidden in this game.     So let me just start with the bad. It's a bad Remastered. The graphics are not really improved and many bugs off the old games are still there (some intentionally).
    However that doesn't change the fact that this game for me is solid 10/10. Everything about the game is just amazing.    I love Dark Souls. Its a game that made me love gaming again after me enjoying this medium less and less.
    So let me just start with the bad. It's a bad Remastered. The graphics are not really improved and many bugs off the old games are still there (some intentionally).
    However that doesn't change the fact that this game for me is solid 10/10. Everything about the game is just amazing. The fighting is slow and methodical which can be annoying but I love that you can brutally punish your enemies if you are good at the game.
    But the best thing about this game is how everything is connected. Not just through map layout but also the lore of the game itself.
    The lore of the game is also just awesome and your first play through makes you really curious and you just want to find out more about this whole world you are dropped into.
    The challenge is probably the most known factor about this game. And even though there are some **** challenges (Capra Demon and Bed of ****) the challenge this game offers was truly addicting for me. Every time I got the the End of a Boss for the first time my hard started going like crazy and I just got extremely nervous. But then when you defeat the boss you died countless of attempts to you just feel this amazing relief and pure happiness. I have beaten many games and I have this feeling less and less and From Software games are able to give me this experience is just amazing. I also understand when people complain about having to run the boss fight all over again. But in my opinion its completely fine because you can skip most enemies easily.
    Another great thing about this game is the opportunity to mod the game. When I am doing a walktrough of Dark Souls I am playing with the Item Randomizer Mod. I also am not a very technical person but i could do it easily.

    Es el mismo juego que el original. No trae nuevo contenido y a nivel gráfico es lo mismo, simplemente se mejora la resolución y ya. A pesar de ello, si no lo habías jugado en la anterior generación, no lo dudes y pruébalo si te gustan los desafíos.

    What matters to me is that they fixed Blighttown play town on the original PS3 release had a frame rate issue Dark Souls remastered fixes it this remaster was made for consoles and I'm absolutely satisfied I'm able to play it on my PS4

    I kinda understand other people's complaints and that they consider the game to be a cash grab; However this was my first time playing a Dark Souls game (I've platinum trophy in both Sekiro and Bloodborne). My overall experience was very good, and my initial experience was the most painful I've ever had.

    This game had one of the worst first impressions and it made me hate my existence,    I kinda understand other people's complaints and that they consider the game to be a cash grab; However this was my first time playing a Dark Souls game (I've platinum trophy in both Sekiro and Bloodborne).     This game had one of the worst first impressions and it made me hate my existence, however a lot of the frustrations I've encountered were avoidable by looking up on how to proceed in the game (which I definitely recommend). At first I wasn't so impressed with the visuals of the game, but pretty soon it grew in me and I honestly think the game looks beautiful; Not perfect, but beautiful.

    The soundtrack other than 2 or 3 tracks is not that special, and similar to other FromSoftware games you pretty much don't encounter any music except in boss fights. Speaking of boss fights; I don't really know if the fact that this is my 3rd "souls" game made me feel the bosses overall are not that ridiculously hard or they actually aren't that hard. In case of having poorly designed boss fights, rather being the fighting area or the attacks of the boss or just how to beat the boss, I would say the game has one such boss, which again one can look up a guide and it'll become simple.

    In any case, the main source of my deaths were not the bosses but the normal enemy types all around the map. There are enemies I absolutely despise, and areas I really don't like to explore; I'm now used to both beating the enemies and exploring the area, but the path to my current state was indeed somewhat painful.

    In general, is this game a masterpiece worthy of a remaster? I think yes, it kinda is. The whole map of the world in this game is impressively massive with a lot of attention to details. The lore, the NPCs, the weapons, the outfits are all interesting. One other thing about souls game, is you get rewarded for exploring the areas of the game and you will most of the times find something interesting and/or useful.

    So overall I do love this game and I can recommend playing it.
    I can't give this game a 10/10 since:
    1- my first impression was really painful (anyone else without using a guide will likely have the same painful initial experience) 2- There were some parts of the game that were not designed that well. Some areas, enemy types and 1 or 2 bosses.

    I also bought the game in discount and I'd totally recommend buying the game on a lower price.
    With a small look on a guide and a somewhat high patience, the game will be a fun overall experience.    … Expand

    An absolute masterpiece in every way. A game that defined a generation and became a genre.
    Everybody should try this game at some point.
    I haven't faced any issue mentioned by the other scores, probably because I played this recently, years after the patches were released.

No dodging or blocking, just Havel's armor with high poise, Great Club and pressing attack repeatedly did the thing. Other enemies did not show any challenge either, which led me to lose any further interest, and I dropped the game. But maybe it's just too easy for 2022, since I killed most of the bosses in one try anyway. Also, Blighttown and Sens Fortress were not as bad as I expected, even somewhat cool in their own way.    … Expand

    Un juego muy bueno, con un gran diseño de mazmorras, atajos inteligentes, un mundo detallado y difícil i una buena jugabilidad. Lo que menos me ha gustado del juego fue que los movimientos eran mucho más lentos que en Dark Souls III, a parte de que la banda sonora no impactaba tanto, y los jefes eran fáciles si ibas mamadisimo.

    I love this game. I played it before on the gen prior to PS4, and i 100% it again. My first time experiencing the DLC as well. DS Remastered is a nice package for any newcomer to the franchise.

    I love this game i've invest so many time on X360 and PC tip for a Easy Life, Grind a LOT, except for One Boss on late game you pretty much can defeat everything with little suffering. I Recommend that you play Dark Souls 2 Scholar before this One because this first game a lot more punitive than the Sequel.

    The story in this game requires a lot of digging and reading item descriptions (and probably some guides) but once you get it it's a great story that leaves you wanting more details. The gameplay is where this game shines. I got absolutely brutalized my first playthrough but once I got a handle on it after playing hours of Dark Souls 1-3 and Bloodborne it became some of the most satisfying gameplay I've experienced. This and Bloodborne are the two games where finally beating a boss after slamming my head against a wall for hours on end made me cry tears of victory. It's a feeling only possible in games this difficult that require practice to get down the timing and strategies needed to succeed. After getting the Platinum in this game, I've replayed it several times because it has great replayability. It is one of few games that I would liken to comfort food or watching your favorite movie. Most of the environments in this game are really well designed and visually impressive.

    That being said, there are glaring flaws in this game. I take two points off this score for the Bed of Chaos boss fight alone. I have fought and defeated all but two of the boss fighting in the Souls series and Bed of Chaos is probably the worst designed fight of any of them. Capra Demon is also a slog but would be forgivable if BoC was a better fight.

    I would strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a challenging video game. Success requires a lot of practice and learning along the way and therefore feels all the more rewarding.    … Expand

    I finally sit down and played DS Remastered. Really enjoyed the game and i must say that there is no other experience like Dark Souls. My only complaint is that the game could have been more welcoming at the start.

Unfortunately, after you finish, arguably the best area of the game, the quality of the areas and bosses drops drastically. I still had fun, but in the end it didn't left that large of an impact on me. Nevertheless, I would greatly recommend the game justThe first half of Dark Souls is amazing. I don't even need to talk about boss battles, obviously those are amazing. The variety in builds is extraordinary and makes the game infinitely replayable.

Yo no diria que es dificil si no exigente por eso se muere demasiado pero aunque te exija la experiencia me gusto la experiencia ya sea por los personajes, la historia, la banda sonora o la jugabilidad.Tambien me ayudo personalmente a tener más autoestima como tener más confianza en mi mismo pese a la adversidad que afrontas en el camino sigues intentado llegar a la siguiente hoguera. Para mi dark souls es un juego que me ayudo mucho y lo recomiendo. Entiendo que haya gente que se siente decepcionada por ser más bien un port que un remastered pero si no hubiera sido por el port nunca lo hubiera probado… Expand

    It isn't a perfect game, you can easely see that the gameplay isn't polished. But about the lore and zones design maybe a 9 ( after Anor Londo the game declines, you can see that they didn't have much time). It also has some bosses that aren't very interesting. Indeed, it isn't the worst soulslike but it isn't perfect.

    Loved it as I usually love Souls games. Thank you FromSoftware for putting out reliable games. I played the original and loved replaying. Minimal glitches (if any) and challenging gameplay as I expected. I was happy to play the “improved “ version.

    I came to this game late, but it is truly a masterpiece. I’m so glad I decided to go back and play it, even in 2021. This game is timeless, and plays so well even many years after its creation. While some complain about the difficulty of Dark Souls, It is truly worth the effort to play and experience the game. Don’t miss it.

    Was a bit difficult to get into but midway through trans to the end I found the game to be a masterpiece. Gameplay is fluid, weaponry and equipment is customizable, and there’s just elements that are simply addicting. Highly recommend for those looking to get into the Soulsborne series.

    Never played the original game. However I played this imagining it was the same exact game from 2011 but with fixes in graphics and performance, as well as bug fixes. So for me, it holds up very well. A great game. Slightly better than Demons’ Souls.

    Eu gostei do remaster , joguei muito a versão de ps3 e nessa versão remasterizada para o ps4 podemos ver upgrade nos graficos e também jogar a 60 fps que é muito bom , mas acredito que poderam ter melhorado ainda mais os graficos desse remaster.

    This game was my first Souls game back when it came out and I was immediately addicted. Definitely not a "must-play" for returning players but still holds up nonetheless. Atmosphere and world building is still a masterpiece.

    Dark souls is hard and this revamp of the calssic is a great face lift. If you like to die and go again to get the rush of finally winning the hard fights you will love this game.

    Rather than a remaster, it's a port. It will entertain mainly rock fans who want to have a complete collection on a new console or complete Souls novices. [Issue#287]

    Dark Souls Remastered doesn't make any dramatic changes to its original release several years ago. The struggle to progress is constant, but just as every moment could be another death, it could also be a moment of great triumph and self-accomplishment. Playing at 60fps makes me wonder how I ever managed to play at half of that rate several years ago. It's a beautiful remaster, even if it isn't a complete overhaul. It's a great entry for newcomers or a great walk down memory lane for fans of its original release.

    Dark Souls Remastered has aged well, despite the progress of its successors. Newcomers might fight it abrasive, but it is still worth a pickup for old fans and new alike. Here’s to a release of Demon’s Souls Remastered.
