For me this game not haves a single Positive thing never ever I will buy a game from this studio again. Hope this studio dies and never fools anyone again. Also, the narrative in this game feels so immature like teenagers wrote it. The choices you make have no real different outcome and graphics look good when you're just standing there taking in the views.

Overall, if you're looking for a game to spend hours in doing pointless quest with a few moments of excitement then I would recommend getting this game on sale. I can't see this game running well on the base PS4 since it was struggling to run on the PS4 Pro. Really disappointing considering the previous works the development team has worked on before.

I like RPGs but I couldn't engange with the atmosphere and characters of this game. Let's talk about the bad things: it crushed 3 times even with the patch (2 times while uploading and 1 by himself when it was uploading a mission and got frozen). I don't like to listen Spanish in every frase, also, I don't like that they put voices in Spanish from South America in the Spanish version and I don't like that if you play the game in Spanish, the diaglogue is in Spanish from South America for all the characters, it just don't fit. Keanu Reeves in the game is a plus, that's for sure, and I think I started to enjoy a bit the game when he appered. I played for more than 14 hours sticking to the main story. To sum up: this is not a must have game. You can give it a try if you enjoy shooting, like to hear Spanish on and off and want to see Keanu Reeves in a game. Expand

The gameplay was fine, I mostly enjoyed what i could due to a lot of bugs, technical hangs and crashes.
I played for about 120 hours on PS5. I tried to do a lot of things in the game.
Ehat makes this game worse is the overhype that came along. It literally brought me on a high peak before the game, meaning that the fall was awful when I encountered all it’s flaws.
I even got a couple of bugs that prevented me to progress on 2 of story missions and 2 gigs. Luckly i had previous saves and i could carry on with the missions, but to finish those gigs i wasn’t so lucky. I had to start the game all over again and finish those specific areas for the platinum.
Playing this game was like dodging bullets for me. Maybe for other players it will be fine, but I definitely don’t recommend it to anyone. For me this was one of the biggest deceptions of recent years and I still think that CDPR got off easy on this one. Makes you wonder if the witcher 3 was a fluke.

I should also state that I am playing on ps5, but that has not improved my experience in terms of bugs. This game needed much more work to be at a level that is enjoyable to most players. I personally am a sucker for sci-fi and this particular brand of sci-fi, so its easy for me to see past all of the **** bugs and annoying crashes. BEyond the bugs there are other areas of cyberounk that need massive reworking because they are just bad on a fundamental level, the police system spawing in anywhere and everywhere destroys any immersion that the city creates for the player, the civilians have terribly scripted reactions to gunshots and cars crashing into things near them, either cowering for an excessively long time or saying something really weird that does not fit the situation. Its a shame this game was released when it was because if CDPRojekt had the time to finish this it would be amazing but in its current state it is just good. (if you can look past the bugs, crashes, and some poorly designed AI systems.) Overall I would give this game a 6.5/10 but My rating is based on the quality of the story and quest design which I am giving a 9/10. Expand

Obviously there are bugs and performance issues, those have been covered plenty already. What I want to talk about is whether the game underneath all the jank is a diamond in the rough, or a pig with lipstick.

One thing is for sure, when it works, the game is super immersive. A dense, multi-layered skyline, talk shows about current events in the city that play while you're in elevators, etc etc - it CAN be a very believable cyberpunk world - on the surface.

I'm not really deep into the game enough to comment on the sum-total of the story across the sidequests etc, but the ones I've experienced have so far been very skin-deep - although again, without a 2nd playthrough it's hard to know effect, if any, my choices had on things. For me that's a big problem, as it removes a feeling of agency from me unless I play a huge, often frustratingly slow game for a 2nd time, which I shouldn't have to. What I will say however is that the actual dialogue itself is well written, and surprisingly humane - overall the characters are more hopeful - or at least stoic - than I expected, which adds a nice contrast to all the brutality.

The action is also a big let down. Again, people have talked about why. The issue for me is that both the AI is awful and melee is so OP that, even though there's a super dense set of skill trees for various guns and grenades, you can get by on Normal difficulty but just running around punching people to death.

Same goes for the hacking. It's just a fancy UI with a needlessly complicated skill-tree for what is essentially some very simple debuffs to enemies and a 'distraction' mechanic for poorly designed and janky stealth. All these systems - and no need to really think or interact with any of them.

That kinda sums it all up for me. A needlessly huge environment, a super deep but pointless and bland set of systems, and some sidequests that range from pointless to 'very cool' but no way of knowing if you're more or less completely on rails for them.

All in all, a huge step back in game design compared to the Witcher - and about the other complains you can read the 0/10s....

So after 80+ hours of playing this game I have finally made it to the credits and I gotta say I, as well as many others, overhyped this game.

Let me first put in my positives. I enjoyed the games story and characters for the most part. I looked forward to each interaction with them and had fun interacting with all the many personalities of the game. Progression felt rewarding and I LOVED my hacker build, just the idea of killing enemy npc's by just looking at them felt very satisfying and made it feel more like a cyberpunk game. I thought if I focused on a weapon specialist build it would just feel like Farcry and I have played plenty of that series. The world of Night City was fun to explore and experience with every story mission I was given. I enjoyed crafting stronger weapons and hacks so I could be the best merc in Night city.

Sadly I believe that is where my positives end. The game"s many bugs, glitches, and crashes (of which I had around possibly over 20) pulled me out of the game and made me think this game was not ready for release even with all of its delays. Npc's T posing, hacks not working, items floating in midair, etc. This game needed a few more months in the oven before releasing on console. There was a bug that even caused a reward in a mission to not pop up. So here is a warning: do NOT do the Psycho Killer side job until it is patched, the mission offers you nothing for a reward

Next is the driving. My God, the driving in this game SUCKS! I was able to get better handling vehicles but that was much later in the game and by that time I mostly just fast traveled and walked. I cringed whenever I was given a mission that required me to drive a damn vehicle. Also to add I got annoyed whenever someone messaged me about a "vehicle for sale" and the map becomes littered with icons that look like quest icons but are just vehicle purchase icons.

Next is the gameplay. While I enjoyed my playstyle I have to admit that it was way too repetitive. Almost every gig or sidejob is the same for each area:
Go here and kill a dude
    Go there and steal something
Go to this computer and plant malware or download info
Kill everyone in the area and get the evidence
    Destroy this gang hideout.

The only thing that changed was the gang that ran the area and that was it. And since I am on the topic of Night city areas let me say that for a place that was described to us as "everyone wants to live" a majority of the city is dead. I mean I would go to certain sections and there would not be a single NPC for a few blocks.

And I think this will be the last thing I didn't like about the game. The lifepaths. I don't know what was so special about this life path stuff when my friend hasn't had much of a different experience from his corpo path compared to my nomad path. The only thing that was different was the beginning 10 minutes and a couple lines of dialogue, that's it. The lifepath was pretty much meaningless and has no real effect on the game or it's story.

This game was, at best, an above average game with above average gameplay and bugs and glitches that didn't help it. I warn you to just wait for a sale and hope everything gets better with future patches.

Completely broken on old gen consoles. It IS fun, but should have only been put on PC initially.

Other than that, CDPR's decisions as to rushing the game out when promising it would release "when it's ready" was a humiliating disaster, AND their propagandist Russophobic policy has irreparably damaged the reputation of this development studio.

Honestly love the game, glitches and all. Recently my opinion changed, the 8mb save file max is the most obsurd thing I've ever heard. To tell people they're playing the game wrong by doing everything it has to offer is absolute garbage. I'll maybe revisit the game next year, for now I can't support something like this

Could be a great game. But right now it suffers from bad framerate and poor graphics. Unacceptable for a PS4 game. A stable 30 fps and decent grahoics is possible on the PlayStation 4. Games like God of war and Ghost of Tsushima showed that once and for all. 15-25 fps and bad graphics aint cutting it.

Under the tons of bugs, glitches and console crashes there's an entertaining world and game, not as futuristic or as revolutionary as I thought though.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. im currently playing on ps4 pro, digital copy of game.
patch 1.04 in place. played around 20 hrs so far, met with teke at cafe in main story.

hardest thing i found is searching for a place to give feedback on the game, to help get bugs fixed. that annoyed me to no end
however, what i have found of the game so far
    good points
story has pulled me in, and the world being built is very contagious. i can see where they have put the tabletop into place ie roll the dice, perk and skill tree etc
graphically looks amazing, and sounds so good.
music and tone is there. NPCs, random convos and background chatter is good. news and adverts are crazy but funny. hovering speech to see if ya miss is a good idea.
gun combat is fun, melee is bit crazy, dying light/dead island style. i can see ppl having a problem with this though.

    bad points
-ok, sometimes a NPC doesnt load/render properly, looks out of place but is quick to go most times.
-car driving is good so far, jackies bike can be a mess at times, other bikes so far seem fine.
-open menu, and back into game, tells me i have broken down items. every time.
    - had a bug with bugbear, if accidently dropped body, it warped to diff locations of buildings. or vanished
    - hacked a camera, and when in normal game, the camera options and normal options on screen, had to go back a few autosaves to fix. (fixed possibly with 1.04 patch)
game closed down a total of 5 times now, which aint great.

all of this though, im still playing it. i am giving it a go, as i do bloody like it. it has a lot of potential, and i think if we had a easy to find bug report location,
( i had to go to CD project red website. if i searched 'cyberpunk 2077 feedbag/bug report', went nowhere ) then i know CDPR will get on it and fix it.
looking at some of the 0 or red reviews, i find none of those helpful, except **** and griping and barely plauisble feedbacks at all.
at ACT 2, game came more alive, seemed to be more ppl in streets and more activities, so i wonder if ppl are going multiple places instead of main story, and nothing has opened up yet.
again, id feedback to block areas off a little, till a certain story mission is open, then act 2 hits, boom everyone there. but cant blame gamers for going off into the world, i tried it myself.

so far, fun to play, bugs dont overly stop play, except when that error occurs ( incidentially, same error and blue screen close happens in COD cold war, spiderman and outer worlds, games i played)
not 100 perc, but not as bad as people are saying it is.
red dead redemption had flying ppl, the witcher 3 had problems to, but then was fixed to epic proportions, the division had ubisoft stop everything for a year to fix
(plus most of ubisofts games including Valhalla) have had its problems.
again, the red reviews are a bit much in my eyes
    hope this helps you all

I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
