    Costume Quest 2 is a pretty bog standard RPG, but it’s outfitted with charm by the bucket load, and that’s its real appeal.

    Costume Quest 2 may look appealing on the outside, but dull combat and repetitive quests mar a good storyline and some interesting ideas.

    The Good: The battles system is much improved with a cool timed attack feature, time your attacks just right for added damage. Also improved are the cinematic fight sequences, which have even more charm than they did in the first game.

    The Bad: Way too short, and way too easy. Compared to the first game the challenge has taken a dramatic step downwards, using your creepy cards is not even necessary to beat the final battles of the game. I remember in the original game losing all my characters in battle at least a few times, but I didn't lose a single battle in Costume Quest 2, and I felt a bit cheated because of it.

    If you're a fan of the first game I still definitely recommend playing this one, for the story and tweaked fight system, otherwise, you should save your money.    … Full Review »

    The first game was one of my favorites, even WITH the terrible tank controls. When I turn around, I don't want to watch my character pivot in a 180, I want to go the other way right away.

    Now for the worst part of it. The frame rate is astonishingly low. I don't need 60 fps but I need at least 30 while walking. Unfortunately it struggles to keep steady while walking and while you use your roller skates, the game is incredibly choppy. Such a shame.     Double fine game are wonder full and this game brings the Halloween spirit right out of me
