    An overall solid package, a tiny bit repetitive due to small enemy variety. Story was intriguing, music and sound were great, solid gunplay/powers and game looks great.

    Incredible on a technical level. Amazing graphics and particle effects. Extremely interesting and enthralling setting and environments. Weird paranatural story that is engrossing. Satisfying combat and cool powers. Fantastic set piece moments. Interesting characters. Likeable and sympathetic protagonist.     I eecomend having the fireman close when you play this game because your ps4 (pc, ps5, xbox etc.) Will START BURNING, the FULLY INTERACTIVE enviorements will burn you ps4, mine overheated (i think) and the game was lagging a lot, so be prepared to burn you ps4

    A solid action adventure game with an incredibly evocative setting. Not only is the X-Files/SCP object vibe a really fun one that's well executed, but the banality of the office setting and how it manages to subvert and play with it really make this game stand out. plus the gunplay is super solid and telekinesis is so much fun!

    Overall it was enjoyable game. Ahti was real old type finnish person and great voice acting from good finnish actor. Combat would be something different and gave little bit repeating feelings. Story was good and have that remedy style dark theme.

    There's a game that surprised me. I bought it without much expectation but in the end there are so many crazy and pointless things that arrested me. Fairer challenging combat, without the unnecessary difficulties that some games present. I recommend!

Брутализм мне раньше не нравился, но в этой игре он выполнен отлично, и стиль помещений мне нравится. Минусы: 1. Подача сюжета. Для многих будет ленб читать кучу записок, прослушивать аудио файлы и смотреть видеоролики, которые зачастую нужны для понятия сюжета. 2. Графика. Играл на Ps4 Slim, и в некоторых местах ужасные пересветы/недосветы, но в остальном графика хороша. Итог: Как по мне, самая недооцененная игра 2019, которая заслуживает большего признания.     I really fall in love with this amazing atmosphere. This story, graphic (or better say graphic design?), characters… everything is incredible in my taste. I really love characters in this game, some of them are just unforgettable (like Anti). And I simply amazed by the sound design in this game. Oh boy. Nothing in my entire life gives me goosebumps like the sound of "hisses" in background,I really fall in love with this amazing atmosphere. This story, graphic (or better say graphic design?), characters… everything is incredible in my taste. I really love characters in this game, some of them are just unforgettable (like Anti). And I simply amazed by the sound design in this game. Oh boy.     Non uso facilmente la parola capolavoro ma questo lo è indubbiamente. Storyline, grafica e fast action-shooting gameplay sono indiscutibilmente quello che rendono questo gioco una perla da non perdere. Grazie Remedy studios per averci donato questa meraviglia.

    I have played this game on 2 generations of consoles, and played it through twice. There isn't a game like it. Ita mysterious, it's confusing, it's fun, it's scary, it's funny, it's one of VERY few games you actually WANT to read the documents you find scattered across the map. The combat is superb, the telekinetic abilities are unrivalled in gaming. The building it thought provoking andI have played this game on 2 generations of consoles, and played it through twice. There isn't a game like it. Ita mysterious, it's confusing, it's fun, it's scary, it's funny, it's one of VERY few games you actually WANT to read the documents you find scattered across the map. The combat is superb, the telekinetic abilities are unrivalled in gaming. The building it thought provoking and honestly, after this game, I wanted to know everything and understand everything about this game, and the DLCs were a nice dessert after a superb main course.

She stumbles upon a mysterious government agency that investigates the paranormal and the occult. Gameplay is a mix of third-person shooting and light platforming.     I’m sorry this game took my breathe away. The theme is something I didn’t know I was craving for. Although the story isn’t the strongest, the gameplay and theme makes me feel like no other game has. I will never ever forget my encounter with the Former. Scariest yet most intriguing moment in my gaming history.

    Normal game, narrative is good gameplay normal it is 8 is 10 I didn't like the tedious dialogues and the weak presentation of the plot, and the fact that the plot is revealed through notes, mostly Alan wake liked it more

    Juegazo!!!! Me lo compré en la pandemia y me encantó. Recomiendo los 2 DLC aunque el que tiene que ver con Alan Wake no me gustó tanto. En fin, el juego principal tiene mecánicas geniales y la capacidad de destruir escenarios es el sello de la casa. Le doy un 9.5.

    Amazing concept for a game. Remedy manages to create atmosphere, wonder and action in a very fluid package. A game that happens in confined environment, but manages to broaden out way beyond it's surroundings. Gameplay, controls, graphics are flawless. I also enjoyed the characters, but felt they could have been fleshed out a little more.

    As for the cons, there weren't too many for me, mostly of cosmetical nature, but on thing that I noticed on both the PS4 as well das the PS5 version was that I almost always had half a second of lag when I closed the inventory/missions screen.
    The biggest flaws for me however were the lighting as well as some effects. Especially floodlights were way too bright while other parts of the game were way too dark plus the smoke screen effect of some enemies was pretty annoying, but other than that it was great.    … Expand

    This game I recommend if you want to experience a psychosis :-) At least how I imagine it.

    Overall a very solid game.     - Story makes no sense, but maybe this is intended
    - Annoying difficulty spikes that make you wanna rage quit. When you die, you have to clear all the enemy waves again, and this can take some time
    - Devs wanted game to be Dark Souls, but it doesnt feel right for this type of game. Too hard
    - Quest markers are not precise enough, you have to search areas like an idiot
    - There are some stupid quests like an Arcade mode or an Expedition which are boring and uncreative
    - Spawning mobs during boss fights
    - Regenerating bosses
    - Mobs respawn if you leave and room and return immediately

    Including the DLCs and nearly all missions, I needed 84 hours (I am a slow player).    … Expand

Das Spiel atmet nicht nur Remedy Action, sondern auch Remedy Atmosphäre. Da Control zudem eines der besten 3D Metroidvanias ist und mit weiteren DLCs nochmals ausgebaut wurde, macht das Spiel zu einem der besten Action Titel der PS4 Ära.     Almost perfect game. Power fantasy superhero combat in a horror setting with a banger of a soundtrack and one of the best levels ever made. The only thing that lets it down is the random fetch/kill side quests you get given every 10 minutes. Ignore them totally and you'll be fine.

    Control is certainly a good game and almost a great game ! I completed the main story and a significant amount of side quests (more than 10) in around 25 hours. This game is not open world and the design is more like metroid prime for exemple. Most of the time, I enjoyed my time with this game and with more than 25 hours of content, I found that there was a lot of meat for this type ofControl is certainly a good game and almost a great game !     Pros: The graphics are good, especially the light effects (Raytracing), the progression system is well done and relevant, the difficulty was fair and challenging, they created a unique vibe and there is a lot of lore

    Cons: Performance is Ok but not great, there are some important bugs (artifacts that stay on the screen in dense shooting scenes), the story is average at best, navigation with the map is deficient and the side quests are not introduced in the most ineteresting way

    Overall, this game should have scores between 7 and 8 according to me. A 7,5 would be my score (I put 8 here). This is still an easy recommendation but don't expect any GOTY material. If you have time to play many games, don't miss this one ! Otherwise, if your time is really limted, there are better games out there.    … Expand

Когда надо - вызывает напряжение и пугает, в бою - очень хорошо задает темп. Проблема только с сюжетом, вернее с его подачей. Без роликов на ютубе я бы не разобрался( хотя до конца я так и не разобрался собственно). Мир в игре интересный, уникальные монстры, вся эта паранормальщина. Очень отдаёт Твин Пикс и Икс Файлс.     This was my first ever game from Remedy Entertainment, and it an awesome game, a very good mind-trick mystery story, awesome gameplay third person shooter with (star wars alike) force wielder mechanic, the bosses I managed to fight were amazing.

    I might try out Alan Wake before Alan Wake 2 comes out.

    I had load of fun, and the game freaked me out a bit! A couple times I had to take a break as my heart got going a bit too much. If you love good horror thriller I think you will enjoy this one.     i like this game because you can choose beetwen dexterous or left-handed. Control is a 3rd person shooter with the same aiming style "from the shoulders", like Resident Evil 4. Generally developers puts the character on the left side of the screen, but sometimes even the character is dexterous (ellie for example, she is dexterous, me too, and they put ellie on the left side... feelsi like this game because you can choose beetwen dexterous or left-handed. Control is a 3rd person shooter with the same aiming style "from the shoulders", like Resident Evil 4. Generally developers puts the character on the left side of the screen, but sometimes even the character is dexterous (ellie for example, she is dexterous, me too, and they put ellie on the left side... feels nonsense, weird).     Behind every corner of the oldest house, a stunning building, never seen similar in any game btw, waits a new breathtaking surprise. You keep unlocking new skills which keep you going, as well as discovering new areas. Story is not easy to follow, making it either mysterious or annoying, depending on how you like it.
    Best enjoyed with knowing as little as possible about it beforehand.

Unfortunately I can't give it a higher rating because the game isn't perfect.     The best game I've ever played, amazing style, gameplay, plot, all this is at the highest level. In the first part (I hope for a quick release of the second part) there are no revealed secrets and a particularly cool connection with other projects from Remedy. I would also like to note the charisma of Trench and the mystery of Ahti.

    Você controle Jesse Faden, que adentra no prédio de uma organização governamental secreta em busca de seu irmão, do qual foi separada desde criança. Faden é guiada por alguém com quem ela conversa como se fosse seu pensamento ou mesmo o jogador dando a entender que ela pode quebrar a chamada quarta parede.
    Ao entrar no prédio abandonado da nomeada FBC (Federal Bureal of Control), ela descobre que a agência foi tomada por uma força/entidade sobrenatural que ela mesmo chama de Ruído. Encontrando o corpo do diretor e pegando a arma ao lado do corpo do mesmo (chamada de Arma de Serviço), ela passa a adentrar a estrutura eliminando os humanos corrompidos pela entidade e adquirindo habilidades ao entrar em contato com objetos paranormais (a agência era especialista em investigar atividades e objetos paranormais até que um deles fugiu ao controle).
    Com um gameplay focado na ação, o jogo cumpre bem o seu papel dando lindos efeitos de destruição de cenário.

    This game is a work of art. From the start, I was extremely impressed to the attention to detail and the discoverable area. The facial and body graphics are decent, not amazing for a game of this year, but still not bad. The game gets more fun, the further you progress and the throwable items superpower is so fun to use!

    Awesome game filled with a dark atmosphere and freacking crazy and funny! There are very cool moments here, both in the gameplay and in the plot.

    Of the minuses, I note that on the base PS-4, the frame rate sags a lot in places with a large number of enemies. I didn't like DLC, but we're talking about the basic version here. And the game is amazing. Try it.

Docking a single point for the way 505 games handled the post-launch and marketing of the Ultimate Edition, asking existing owners to re-purchase the exact same content for the exact same platform in order to get the “free” upgrade to the next-gen version, without offering a paid upgrade path as well. It's quite hard to assess this game because it is not AAA game so you can't blame it for almost absent cutscenes but at the same moment existing briefing cutscenes are too boring. Also all these notes and letters are sort of empty - stories in them are very similar like "In Bla-bla town we've found bla-bla altered item andPlayed Ultimate Edition on PS5 so had no problems with performance.     Fantastic sci fi game. Perfect in every way, no complaints, great story and fun combat that remains interesting till the very end. Amazing sound track including real bands. A solid 10, but people, myself included, ignore 10/0 scores so I give a 9.

Control is a great game with two particularly great qualities in its worldbuilding and combat.

You also travel to the Astral Plane, a bleak monochromatic emptiness inhabited by a cryptic entity known as the Board. It's a really cool setting for an action game with a brilliantly cold and peculiar atmosphere. As you work to repel The Hiss, a hostile invading force, you'll have a lot of questions on your mind.

    The combat is great and super fluid, with a satisfying synergy between the abilities and the gunplay. You can levitate, dash to avoid attacks, use telekinesis to fling enemies into one another, and blast them with a shape shifting gun that can take a number of unique forms. It's really fun. There are also a decent number of Hiss enemy types which make for varied enough combat encounters.

    Control is visually impressive in its realisations of odd and unsettling concepts. Environments and characters look great, but the PS4's performance often falls short. During intense action, it struggles to maintain a steady frame rate, and some of the less important textures can arrive a little late to the party. Loading times are quite poor, and I had a problem with the audio getting out of sync with the in game videos too.

    An aspect in which Control disappoints slightly is in its narrative. Although Control certainly has an interesting setting and premise, I wasn't left fully satisfied by its story and conclusion. The plot couldn't match the quality of the worldbuilding in my opinion. I was drawn in by the lore and unorthodox supernatural elements, but the plot isn't as groundbreaking.

    The Ultimate Edition comes with two major expansions in The Foundation and AWE respectively. I preferred the former, which is a nice tailpiece to the base game which gives a taste of where the game could go next. The Board have a fairly prominent role in it which I liked. AWE is fine too, but having not played Alan Wake I felt a little out of the loop.

    Overall, Control is definitely worth playing. It's got a madcap world and some eccentric characters, and the combat is very enjoyable.    … Expand

    This is THE BEST game I ever played and enjoyed.

    I’m a fan of Half Life series who Valve killed and I never thought I would have played to another masterpiece: this is Control.

    I really wish it becomes a saga, it really blows my mind.

    Got to admit i was interested to play this after playing myself, but after finishing and making platinum on ps4, i can say it was one of the most surprising good games i played i recent years. The story and the gameplay are very very good and fun. the design of the game standout. I recommend to everyone that do not care much about getting a little lost with the plot and crazy script.

    The game is very nice, but it has minor flaws. When you die, sometimes you spawn at first. And when you have very little health, the screen turns red and you can't see much. But the game is excellent, definitely get it.

    Level design is incredible, art direction reminds a fair bit of the tv show LOST (in particular the parts about The Dharma Initiative), which is really not a bad thing. It has this old school science vibe which I find very cool. A lot of Jungian psychology and the like for those interested in that, as well as a huge pinch of mysticism.

    Graphics and animations are top notch, and my only criticism is that the game's environments sometimes get repetitive with its brutalist-styled architecture. It's really not bad but a bit more change of scenery every now and then could have mixed well with the theme of the game. There is, however, one excellent part of the game that stands out in this respect, but you'll see that when you play it..

    Since I'm half-Finnish I also have to praise the game for including Ahti, his tango music, accent and overall take on the world around him... whoever he is...

I have to sign up for a Metacritic account to make this review becauseI finished the game, I will have to say that I'm impressed.     Story: the story is pretty immersed and great, but most of the part is kinda confusing, but it is still greatly built and interesting, at least from my perspective...

    Graphics: truly amazing even tho I don't have RTX support, it's still pretty smooth and great. I don't have to worry about the lag. the atmosphere is so great. The map is huge and you can explore as many places as you can with no limitation once so ever (only if you finished the game or completed most of the sidequests)

    Gameplay: The gameplay is excellent, encountering enemies at random times and using my weapon to kill them is pretty satisfying, especially the weapon animation and the sound. not just that, you can change weapon type without having to switch guns is pretty unique. All enemies' abilities are...what can I say? those are pretty nice and challenging, it's hard sometimes but that's what makes it fun!

    Sound: I have no other words to say, it's so relaxing and great, it's a masterpiece. the gun sound plays differently for each weapon type, but they are perfectly synced with the animation. the environment sound is also excellent, you walk around making smooth footstep noise while there are lots of noise around you that makes up a good detail for the map, feels realistic sometimes lol

    Interaction/Physics: Woah! I'm impressed, you can interact with ALMOST ANYTHING in each location, pressing E, grabbing random crap, and throw anywhere and create a huge mess xD, but tho the physics are truly great, nearly the same as GTA V physics, I was expecting if I grab an object and throw in other objects, they would collide and do some physics stuff, and well...it did just like what I expected, you have so many stuff around you that you can interact with, like jumping on table stomping on every object making noises or even just grab 3 objects and throw into others to create a massive mess, not to mention it also fully collides with enemies, so you can bully them by grabbing stuff and throw into their faces haha! Or just make their HP low and then grab them and throw them into other enemies for more collision experiment xD, but seriously tho the interaction is at top-notch as you can grab anything everywhere you walk and combines with the amazing physics system, it's like a lucid dream. Oh here are some OTHER INTERESTING DETAILS, you can use your gun to break windows, but it's not just basic, IT SHATTERS LOTS OF TINY PIECES OF GLASS which you can spend at least 10-15 seconds to destroy 1 glass, you can also use Pierce type to fully destroy it, or grab any object and throw at the window for fun, now, here is the most interesting part about the physics, is that you can destroy stuff like if you go into the bathroom, you can destroy the toilet and the wall covering them too

    Settings: Dude, there are so many settings here, almost covered everything that I needed. they even include cheats for which if you are not a hardcore player or you just want to end a battle with monsters quickly (I only use cheats after finishing the entire game which I recommended you not to enable cheats before beating the game)

    Map: Hey don't get me wrong here, the map is pretty confusing and I get lost most of the time because there are so many directions to go. the map navigation is also pretty confusing, it doesn't show the mission/objective location (for some missions/sidequests) and it's very easy for me to get lost, but otherwise, the map design is great, greatly built, and have wonderful details with props around me to interact and messing around with them, don't worry Remedy, you're still doing a good job there buddy!

    Lore: The lore is interesting, like Research & Records, Case Files, Correspondence, Multimedia, Hotline. So much stuff to read and I can spend my entire day reading all of them at once lol, they did took the time to write lore for people to understand the game (a bit)

    So from these reviews of my opinion, here's the conclusion:
    - It's worth buying the game, but it's best to buy it only when it's on sale because the gameplay is only roughly 12-20 hours, but if your rich then sure, go ahead and buy it at full prices, the game is a masterpiece and I tonally recommended playing it!

    Ignore the negative reviews...the game deserves to be better, just try to make the story a bit more understandable. Have a wonderful day and good luck :D    … Expand

The mystery and the narrative feels great. The journey of becoming the Director both in title and in spirit is nice, and the protagonist is lovable. "Both" of them.
    The world of AWEs and the whole House is a really unique and interesting setting, and it really captures you. The combat feels great, and the game has one of the best missions I ever played, no spoiler: the maze. It was awesome, without cinematic films or things that are usually makes me love a specific part of a game. It was pure badass action.     Most fun I’ve had with a game in a while. Gripping with very fluid combat mechanics. The game’s lore is the shining aspect however. Make sure you pick up and read every thing you can to get the full scope of the game

    Great game. Gameplay mechanics are innovative and interesting. With enough varied options to keep you interested and experimenting throughout. Story was a little confusing at times but interesting none the less. Well worth your time.

    Lo malo en PS4 es la constante caída en los frames, lo que lo hace en ocasiones desesperante, las ventanas de carga son casi eternas. La banda sonora, deja mucho que desear, para mi no fue gran cosa.

    This was nice linear shooting with very interesting story and great atmosphere, shooting was very good, enemies were versatile and the abilities were great fun. Recommend.

    This is such a strange game. Made by a Finnish studio I believe? It makes sense... I have watched some really weird Finnish movies and this has all the same weirdness. It took me hours of gameplay before things started to make sense to me. Don't let that distract you.... this is one of the most original and creative games I have ever played.     The game is however quite difficult, and I find I have to grind quite a bit to recover lost shards or whatever it is after dying, and to get better (but very minor) upgrades in the hope of progressing. It's also a huge maze with a lot of running around, and lots of respawns of challenging mobs, so progress is slow. I have put the game down many times, and don't know if I will finish it. I put in over 40 hours so far and want to believe I am about half-way through....?

    It's well worth picking up if it's on sale, but I don't know if I can recommend paying full price for it.    … Expand

    a beautiful game, the metaphysical setting in which it is set is impressive. It remains a masterpiece of that art style. Super fun and easy to play, it's the top on PlayStation 5 in 4K.

    El juego es bueno, ofrece cosas diferentes pero la historia principal no me lleno, la senti muy confusa y con un final algo mediocre, mi experiencia la salvaron los DLC que me parecieron increíbles.

    Отличная игра! На PS5 выглядит классно, лучи/отражения - все по-взрослому. Полностью разрушаемое окружение, такого погружения в этом плане не видел ни в одной игре. Интересный сюжет.
    Но слишком однообразный геймплей, заставляю себя допросит игру до конца, начиная с 4ого часа игры. Одно и то же, одно и то же. Ну и про сейвпоинты не написал только ленивый - убожество.     Gameplay is really good, amazing visuals though the graphics could be better and there's a lot of fps drop in combat. Personally, the story started really well and had huge potential but it seemed rushed near the ending.

    The writing, direction, and performances are consistently brilliant. This is Remedy at the peak of its game. Control feels like a company rediscovering itself, waking from a long slumber. Remedy’s legs work as intended once more, the vestiges of sleep paralysis a distant memory.

    I don’t want to use the word masterpiece lightly, but what else do you call the combination of gleefully chaotic gameplay with earnest storytelling in a setting as refreshingly unique as Bioshock? What else do you call a combat system that goes so far beyond the simple act of shooting a gun without drilling down into a set of intricate menus and complicated controls? What else do you call darkly malevolent horror that doesn’t feel like it was cribbed from someplace else? What else do you call the crowning achievement of a studio with a unique voice, an uneven track record, and 25 years of experience? If there’s a better word to describe what Remedy has achieved with Control, I can’t think of it.
