I'm a fan of the show so there might be some bias here - but I game a lot and I was not able to put the game down for maybe 4 hours upon first boot. Things to like are the levelling system, the skills and moves, and the gameplay. It plays like double dragon more than streets of rage in my opinion. The only gripe I have is it's hard to do holds and throws, though primarily it doesn't matter as the combat is striking more than grappling. The graphics, art style and some enemy characters will come across as campy and almost satirical, but fans of the movie will get this, "so bad it's good" kind of thing. Expand

I was waiting since Streets of rage 4 to play a brawler like i was a child, but in my opinion this game is the real new King of scrolling beat'em'up. So fun, varius and great re-playable value, a real surprise.

Man, this game is a poorly made, buggy, piece of crap. So it is the best possible game for Cobra Kai. You will not regret purchasing this on steam, it is a blast, especially the local co-op. There also some fun references like the prep boy characters being named after ross, chandler and joey from friends, or the security guards being names Jake, Charles, terry, and (Rosa) Diaz afterMan, this game is a poorly made, buggy, piece of crap. Overall, Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues hits home with me and I am sure it will hit home with the other lovers of the Karate Kid universe. The show on Netflix has been amazing and this game is amazing as well. The music and mechanics are great and give you a real feel for the 80’s nostalgia trip.

It is difficult to objectively rate this Cobra-Kai in an industry where this type of game has completely disappeared from the shelves. The idea of honoring the series in a beat'em up tribute to the 80s was good; unfortunately, the developers did not take advantage of the many generations that followed to bring the wind of freshness and novelty necessary to the quality of the title. We end up with a game that could very well have been released many years ago despite some undeniable qualities that provide a certain playing pleasure. For this result, it is difficult to want to spend forty euros on it. Cobra Kai remains a far from unpleasant vent that might suit fans of the genre or series. It's up to you to see if you want to pay the price.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga is a very nostalgic game, but not in the way you might think. It's not that it's a beat 'em up, nor that it's based on an ageing franchise, or even because it looks like it should be able to run on a Sega Saturn. No, it's nostalgic because this a licensed video game that is fairly terrible, using its branding as a smokescreen to hide a multitude of problems from an unwitting buyer until it's far too late. It's just like the good old days. If this was 1991 then Cobra Kai would have been published by Ocean Software.
