From the cinematics to the script to the sound design, Chicken Police delivers. If you’re a lover of film noir aesthetics and solid witty dialogue, peck it up. [Issue#183, p.67]

Chicken Police is far better than I'd expected it to be, due in no small part to the way it nails the noir aesthetic. It's clearly had a lot of care and attention put into it, with puns, jokes and background information tucked behind every corner and in every bit of dialogue. It's a surprise, but Chicken Police is excellent and comes highly recommended to anyone whose egg it pickles.

Chicken Police is not the most innovative or complex adventure game, but it is one of the most atmospheric ones. It is immersive and fun, with an excellent soundtrack and stellar voice acting. The puzzles are a bit simple and limited in number, but you will not miss them so much thanks to the excellent story and well-written dialogues. The noir atmosphere is the most important element of the recipe, Chicken Police charming you from the very first minutes and guiding you gently to the end by fueling your sense of accomplishment with new discoveries. It is not perfect, but it is an experience you will not regret.

Chicken Police is a fun experience that makes you laugh, and while most of it's gameplay mechanics are very simple, it still manages to tell a great story and entertain you for a few hours.

The game is a film noir adventure which isn't a total disaster but it has some serious flaws:
    1. The story is extremely linear and the gameplay not challenging to the point of being almost like a novel with minor exceptions
    2. The choices that score the interrogations are poorly designed and half of the time they are unintentionally misleading
    3. Several characters and dialogues are completely redundant or out place making the game half of the time just boring
At the end of the day if you're extremely into film noir adventuring you might like it but it's generally a flawed game.

A fantastic plot, and the character designs were great. It has a few brief minigames and action scenes to keep it moving, but it also resembles a visual novel. It's a brief game that has some unfinished business. Full Review »
