    Treyarch ruined Warzone with season one (actually season 7). Boycott Warzone until Activision fixes the major changes that ruined the game.

    Warzone is a game i recently dove into, and with it being a constantly evolving multiplayer battle royale this review may change. However in it's current state the game is pretty enjoyable as a means for some mindless fun and it even has some features I really appreciate. However it is just a another battle royale and it has crippling flaws.

However it is just a another battle royale and it has crippling flaws.

    Verdansk is a great map. First and fore most one of the best aspects is the map design. It has a lot of variety from place to place in terms of how you can approach engagements and it's large but still dense with many action packed areas.

    In terms of gunplay and sound design, this game takes everything from modern warfare (2019) and all the weapons sound powerful and feel punchy and responsive. Good sound for the weapons and reload animations are smooth and crisp. Even thought the game has an armor system, fights never drag out too long or turn into a game of attrition with players replacing armor constantly, which is great.

    Another aspect I really enjoy is how the game approaches death. In normal battle royales death usually means the end but here it's only an inconvenience. Similar to a game like apex legends, you can go to a specific place to respawn a lost team mate however you'll have to collect some cash to do so. Also the first time the player dies they are sent to the gulag which is a 1v1 arena with another player who died and you get one last shot at redemption, however you have to earn it. You still get penalized with loosing all your gear but this system feels very well crafted and the engagements in the gulag are some of the most fun in the game.

    In terms of visuals it is definitely a downgraded modern warfare, but with the larger scope of the map and the amount of chaos, I can live with this compromise. The map feels well crafted in terms of feeling like a real environment and the game still looks pretty impressive aside from the horrendous pop ins and visual bugs you might get.

    Now for the issues. Really poor compression means you may have to delete a ton of games just to keep it on your system. It isn't really acceptable for the size to be this big and is a huge factor in why some players may stick with other games like Apex Legends or Fortnite or whatever else. This is a huge issue I don't see getting fixed. Another issue is those pesky microtransactions....Activision proves they never learn. Getting cosmetic stuff with real world money is fine in my books but the amount they charge is just absurd and not worth it. The progression without using real world money is non-existent. Also on top of this they think it is okay to sell guns you can get from loadouts drops on the map for REAL MONEY. Literally weapons that can give you a huge tactical advantage for paying your real world cash. No doubt some players are gonna use this and cause balancing issues with the game and this is a blatant "pay to win" type system.

    I can see this game going very far and maybe even becoming a 8/10 in the future and the game is something I really enjoy but the issues weigh it down quite a bit. I must acknowledge all the stuff I really like here but i won't ignore these issues. It's free and with the size of the game I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone who is already deeply invested in another battle royale but its a fun and mostly well designed mindless game at it's core.    … Expand

    The footsteps are not audible enough. It forces you to have a very high volume which leads to getting your ears really hurt from gunshots, explosions and vehicles engines. Even at high volume, the footstep are still extremely hard to hear. And people easily can sprint close behind you without you even noticing.     -The time it takes to kill a player is way too short. It's almost totally random who kills who. Players need to be more tanky to make it less random.

    Besides that, 150 players are way too much. Not because of density, but because of how low your chance of winning is. It means you might meet even more amount of skilled players to be able to win.

    The gulag effect might not be positive, because it pushes in even more skilled players to the end game. In total. it makes the game almost impossible to win, and therefore pretty boring to retry all the time.    … Expand

    The first COD ive played and love it. I used to only play Fifa until it became totally **** and couldn’t find a new game to play then this came up and it’s my favourite game by far now. Deleted fifa and downloaded multiple COD’s and not been disappointed yet.

    O game esbarra muito na limitação imposta pelo joystick. A principal falha é o metodo de corrida, que pra mim sempre foi o problema da série Call of Duty, ter que apertar o L3 pra correr sempre é cansativo demais. Eu sempre curti COD, jogo desde o Call of Duty 3, sou tendencioso a falar do jogo, mas pra jogar online numa plataforma crossplay, realmente o joystick deixou a desejar.

    No dedicated servers, cheaters, and lack of map updates are struggling to keep the base component of Warzone alive. However, the new addition of Zombie Royale brought new life into the game. If Activision could remove Skill Based Matchmaking, and Infinity Ward fixes their spaghetti code, this could be a generational game.

Not to mention all of the visual noise while standing completely still, makes it impossible to scan for enemy movement, constantly ADSing on a random bird or leaf in the periphery. Outlines of building have lines that move up and down, literally making it physically difficult to focus on one thing at a time. It's ultimately sensory overload, will make you feel exhausted and unsatisfied after every game. Has all the potential of being a good game but the developers has chosen to execute it in such a way that makes it impossible to enjoy playing. Epic failure is IMO. Try harder infinity ward!… Expand

    It crashes without any error message more often than it can complete a full match.
    I haven't had this many crashes since... no, never had any game or software crash this much.
    Not only does it crash, but you can't rejoin the game.
    It's free to play but I still feel cheated.

    After start i got an infinite loading error ("connecting to services"). After 20 minutes and more then 10 attempts to connect / register / update I start a battle royale. But the errors are not over. Matchmaking does not exist in the game at all - I played with some nerds in the first 5 minutes. The impressions are terrible

    This game have so many technical bugs, the servers disconnect frequently, I try to enter in party with my friends and I can't because have an error, the level design is horrible, so much lag and package loss.

    In my opinion the COD:MW don't worth 60 dollars!

    45 fps max with an I7 3.4Gh, 16GB ram and a GTX 960 4GB. The game crashes about 10 min without a .bat file that I did. And when the game work the ping is awful, i have many freeze, the net code has been create with feet, the audio is terrible. Updates are generally useless, bugs and performance are not fixed but the online shop doing well at least. Fraking free-to-pay-to-win !!!

    To make this review easier to read I'm going to split it into different sections. Gunplay, Gamemodes, Cosmetics, and some others.

    Gunplay - Warzone has the best gunplay of any CoD game i've played in the past. For the most part, no gun is over or under powered. While some guns may be more favored than other there are guns to fit every playstyle. I really enjoy Warzone's take on Battle    To make this review easier to read I'm going to split it into different sections. Gunplay, Gamemodes, Cosmetics, and some others.

    Gunplay - Warzone has the best gunplay of any CoD game i've played in the past. For the most part, no gun is over or under powered. While some guns may be more favored than other there are guns to fit every playstyle. I really enjoy Warzone's take on Battle royale, especially with the introduction of the gulag. The gulag is one of the best parts of the game. Nothing fills you with confidence than clutching it up in the gulag with 5 seconds left on the timer.

    Gamemodes - Of the gamemode I've played I enjoyed most of them. Plunder and Scopes and scatter guns are my favorite modes by far. Mini royale, one of the current modes in the game right now, is uninventive and was most likely spit out as an attempt to keep players interested. Don't want to fire to many shots as I do enjoy the game, but the mode wasn't very fun in my experience.

    Cosmetics - While I don't mind games having a lot of cosmetics, Warzone went overboard. Not to mention that many packs / bundles are pay-to-win or overpriced; usually both.

    Community - Despite other CoD games having a history of harboring a toxic playerbase Warzone's community is really nice and I've made a few friends playing the game.

    Technical issues - For what the game is it is VERY demanding when it comes to storage. Warzone also bosts a whole list of technical issues when it comes to downloading the game. The first few times I tried It would install for weeks without gaining any progress. It would also give me notifiactions daily saying that it was done installing, when it actually had 20+ hours remaining.

    Playability - Like a lot of games, you'll have the most fun in Warzone while playing with friends. If you're a loner, or just don't have friends who play the game, you will have a worse experience. It's very rare that I find myself playing the game alone.    … Expand

    Não sei porquê o Metacritic coloca o MODO Warzone do Call of Duty Modern Warfare como se fosse um jogo diferente, é só um modo multijogador, então manterei minha nota que daria para o ''Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019)''. E mesmo se fosse um jogo diferente, é muito bom e divertido, porém cansativo.

    (-) Battle Royale mode forces PC (mouse-and-keyboard) players to play with console (controller) users, who currently have a broken Aim Assist. There are numerous YouTube videos that prove how Aim Assist is unfairly exploitable, and it hasn't been fixed yet to my knowledge.
    (-) Lots of bugs introduced with every patch that rarely get fixed. (This is particularly evident for quests & challenges, which routinely have inaccurate descriptions or non-functioning parts)
    (-) Some of the decals for guns are horribly ugly. A 3-year-old could design better decals.
    (-) Lots of annoying children and teenagers play the game, thankfully you can turn off voice chat to avoid their screeching.

COD Warzone has gotten worse, especially season 4. This game is only fun for 4.5 months, and it gets old.

    The only innovative feature - The Gulag is completely useless for people without high skills as even if you somehow manage to win the 1v1 you will be sent to the battlefield with starter equipment (also people with sniper/markasman rifles can shoot you down in your parachute again making your win at the Gulag completely useless).

    It's hard to review this games as you can have the 3 perspectives: the casual, the tryhard and the pro. I'm a casual so I will say this. If you want to play casually: solo this game might be good for a few hours if you are willing to download the atrocious file size of 100 GB. If you have a group of friends then you can definitely enjoy some time.

    Also the game is terribly optimized adn the servers are pretty unstable so prepare for random FPS and Ping drops along the way.

    Also Warzone itself is hard to be called a CoD game. Unlike other games this isn't a chaotic low TTK combat it's an RNG based tactical combat...    … Expand

    Same out call of duty with a skin. Only good thing I like was the battle royal and you could play it with your friend. also the 2v2 was nice but it get repetitive sometimes. The muliti player was like any cod.

The respawn time an' the stratosphere skydiving **** doesn't need to exist since it already takes goddamn eons to get back where you were.     But i still think that war zone has flaws. Sometimes it can lag out hard, but I've learnt that this is because the game that im connected to is further away from me. i also play solos most the time (because i have no friends that has it although its free). Also the game has a couple bugs but the updates works on fixing it weekly (which is why games like fortnite was so popular). Another big issue with the game is the amount of people that hack, use aimbot and uses wallhacks. it does get annoying when they are popping up more than normal. Those players shod get guud. but installing things that detects if someone is hacking could be a very good way to work around.

    i also have some ideas on how to improve it. First add a way to easily switch servers like the way you can do it from fortnite( an example). Next add more modifiers to the guns. you could do that before an update but you cant now. Weapon ideas, mini gun, a modifiable bow, etc. If you search up list of firearms, you can find lots you can add but don't add them all at once, slowly add them like every 3-4 weeks

    The concept of the game is good but the regular crashes and "server disconnected" error make it too frustrating to play. They intencionaly dont give the option to reconect to a BR game. Feels like the developers just want you to stop playng it.

    Its flooded with cheaters. So many wall hakc and auto aim. And the fact that in crossplay you have to play with cheating aim assist console players.
    The only reason why i gave 1 point is the weapons. Weapons mechanics are good. Everything else is bad.

    I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS GAME ITS BAAAAAAAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Warzone has kept things fairly smart and simple with Call of Duty’s second delve into Battle Royale. It rests on gunplay instead of gimmicks which is without doubt CoD’s biggest attraction. Firefights can take alot of effort to survive which can be overcome with clever strategy. Although poor design choices hold it back.

It's Incredibly easy to shoot, and the range of most guns is ridiculous, there isn't much you can do to avoid a semi-competent player getting shot from mid range. Also, the gun balancing is laughable, so unless you wantIt looks and feels amazing, it's easy to play for that reason. I also love that they included crossplay. It's insanely overpowered for some reason, it's basically hit-scan from almost ANY range, while the other snipers don't come close. WHY? Why the **** wouldn't they balance that? It makes no sense. Also, vehicles are a joke. You can land a C4 a few 5 meters away and you insta-blow it up, AND vehicles show up on radar, they just aren't viable, aside from the chopper which you can scrap along surfaces killing people lol, which admittedly is fun aside from being ridiculous. I was sure they would try to balance the BR out after a few updates but so far nothing, and it's stunning. Also loadouts are a shameless ploy to try and sell the regular $60 dollar game, you are at a huge disadvantage if you don't have leveled up loadouts. They really shouldn't be in the game, or at least they should make some world spawn guns comparable. The more I think about it this game actually blows... Perks, UAV's, sub par servers, bad BR map design and circles... They added a classic BR for a little, but it was completely ruined by heartbeat sensors. Ya, this game needs to be uninstalled, which is a shame because I've invested half a terabyte downloading it between the base game and their updates, the updates basically overwrite half the game to add 5 gigs, pretty ****ing inconsiderate for anyone with data caps, such as myself.… Expand

The gunplay is excellent, and the Gulag adds a whole new layer of fun to the game because even when you die you have a chance to go back to the fun. There are issues in the game such as, for some of my friends the game crashes in the middle of a match, it can disconnect you randomly and sometimes takes so long to load. I think despite the cons mentioned, it is still worth playing. There are a lot of reviews complaining about the PC version but.on the PS4 version, it runs relatively well for me.… Expand

    I rate it a 5 out of 10 on my personal piece of **** list of games infested by cheaters. It is not as bad as pubg but bad enough. The single good feature about it is the gulag because that's a single fight where you have quite a good chance to meet someone legit.

    Most of the negative reviews here are clearly for the PC version and their reviews should be on that version on metacritic. The PS4 version is a lot of fun and a good very playable game.

The gameplay is balanced and fair and easy to pick up. It's quite engaging but can get repetitive as there is only one map (Verdansk) although it's is large with lots to explore. It was only announced in CoD's Twitter account, but Activision I do not have a Twitter account, so me, having no info on the season 4 delay in both CoD 2019 Android app on my phone and in game too, had to Google for the reason for this delay. Moreover, Activision has not announced the new date of the season 4 launch. This company only did it like 24 hours before the new launch date (which was unknown before). You only know about new patch only when the launchers says that you have to donwload it. And there's no patch notes even after that. All in one - superb communications with your customers, Activision.
    2. When a new big update is released, be prepared that the download speed will be 0 within at least nearest 24 hours or even more (in Europe). If you're lucky, then you may get to the speed of around 1-2 megabytes per second after a thousand clicks on pause/continue download button. It is kinda annoying for me having a 1 Gigabit per second Internet connection. Activision, rent more servers or something.
    3. Hordes of cheaters. Activision, why don't you install some kind of a well-known and working anti-cheat system in the CoD 2019 like other, more client-friendly companies do? Your anti-cheat system (if you have such at all) is not working well enough. There are hordes of cheaters in this game. It is easy to find dozens of websites, where cheats for this game may be bought or rented. I've been killed by guys with wall hacks and aim bots for way too many times. It is high time you finally do something about it.
    4. No game size optimization at all. I have bought the original game, walkthoughed the campaign and now I often play warzone and multiplayer (bought 2 season passes). The overall size of the game on my PC is around 197 gigabytes, which is absolutely ridiculous while Red Dead Redemption 2's size is like 105 gigabytes or so, but this game is a Holiaph compared to CoD 2019. Why there's no option to delete campaing, which I do not need anymore? Whe haven't you optimized the size of the game itself and patches (a 35 gigabyte season 4 patch adding a couple of new guns, a couple of multiplayer maps, really)? The answer is Activision does not give a **ck about its customers. I will not buy any of the following season passes, skins, new CoD games or anything else from Activision until I feel that Activision treats me like a seller treats its buyer. Its so anoying to have the enemy spawn right next to you, og if you spawn right infront of the enemy and dies within 1 sec after spawn... and its way to easy to lock the other team in a corner and just shoot them evert time they show them self

    Warzone was actually fun when it first came out. Everything felt balanced and game ran quite smoothly. But then they increased the loadout cost and everything went to hell when the game went to FREE TO PLAY...all the hackers came flooding in. lets not even talk about the frame drops, countless bugs and endless exploits that people are still exploiting months after the game has been released. 4/10

    I was shocked at how bad this game is. By the way, this is the first time I tried a COD battle royale. I was hyped when I realized the map is essentially old maps stitched together. Unfortunately, pretty soon something felt off about the game. For me, the areas aren't integrated well, and moving between them just sucks unless your squad really has it together.     The game fails misserable in conection errors, problems in servers, to laggy and they don't fix sound errors a bullet shoot soynds from 500 meters but the steps of your enemy not at all. 200 plus ping for American players sent to Europe servers complete garbage

Fisicas horribles. Lo mejor de todo es cuando llegan los sabados y te quieres echar una partida con tus colegas y sorpresa, ¡los servidores estan caidos! te quedas sin jugar. Vale que es gratis pero ya que das unEs falsisimo, por mucho arcade que sea y que me quieran vender, no justifica que los enemigos te acierten una vez detras de paredes (y no me refiero a las municiones especiales).     Game it good but ruined by cheaters

    You can have 3 or 4 games and everything is fine but then you can get another 3 or 4 with people who cheat and there is no point playing

    Просто шикарная игра на свое старте и где то до начала мая месяца.

    Дальше обилее читеров в играх на деньги и королевской битве. Разрабам просто побарабану на них. Тебя находят точно в какой ты комнате даже со всеми стелс перками, стрельба точная прострелом сквозь дом это все про эту игру.     Game is good and it should be an 8 but... A good game must have a good develop. Every update it's about 20%-40% of game size. It can be if the game size is 10-20GB but it's over 100GB. And there's more than an update in a month. Some people have GB limit others have slow connections that take over 3-4 days to download it.     It's like they took pieces and put togheter without think. Bugs, Cheaters, Chrash, low performace.
    I'm shocked it have soo many players. Probably a print method changed need an entire file to be replaced.    … Expand
