    Игра достойно продолжила серию Modern Warfare. Всё на уровне, - экшен и кино позволяют с интересом пробежать короткую кампанию всем любителям шутеров.

    Другое дело, что ничего нового серия не приносит, включая старые проблемы (генерация противников, пока ты не продвинешься вперед, к какой-то условной точке, тупой стелс (а в какой игре он не тупой?) и такие же тупые противники). Есть и    Игра достойно продолжила серию Modern Warfare. Всё на уровне, - экшен и кино позволяют с интересом пробежать короткую кампанию всем любителям шутеров.

    Другое дело, что ничего нового серия не приносит, включая старые проблемы (генерация противников, пока ты не продвинешься вперед, к какой-то условной точке, тупой стелс (а в какой игре он не тупой?) и такие же тупые противники).

    Есть и приятные плюсы, - на старте у игры не много багов (они конечно есть, но мне не попался не один критичный). А то мы сейчас привыкли к "норме", особенно в крупных играх, что выходит абсолютно забагованная игра, в которую порой и играть то из-за этого невозможно. Потом полога её доделывают патчами, и только потом в это можно будет играть.

    Сюжетно да, - плохие русские и почти хорошие американцы/британцы (по ним есть нюансы, но их скорее вставили для галочки, типа смотрите наши парни тоже не такие уж хорошие).

    Но знаете что, - если у вас нет своей головы на плечах, то вас оболванят не в "плохой" игре, так в "хороших" новостях по ТВ. Или наоборот.

    Лично я с удовольствием пробежался по кампании, вспомнил "старые" времена первых частей Modern Warfare, где подобный кинематограф с постоянной динамикой вызывал просто "вау"-эффект.

    С удовольствием поиграл бы в подобный, и главное качественный, шутер из России (с блекджеком и шлюхами), где надо было бы мочить плохих американцев :).

    Правда выпустить классный AAA-проект это "немножко" посложнее чем строгать пропагандисткие ролики на ТВ (это относиться ко всем сторонам конфликта), но америкосы способны помимо тупой пропаганды выпускать и хорошие игры, а в РФ с этим, надеюсь пока, всё намного сложнее    … Expand

    We want back a good history and this game has an epic history.
    Multiplayer with a huge worh behind it and many modes and maps.
    May be this is the best shooter nowadays.

    Quite good overall. Just couple of maps in MP suffers from low FPS, but campaign, MP and specops are all good.
    And considering 99% of users bad reviews are russians crying about being bed guys in campaignt, it gets pretty good user score.

    Absolutely a great game. The Campaign is absolutely mind blowing, It's very refreshing to see a Call of Duty in this light. Missions like Clean House and The Wolf's Den is like if COD had a baby with Zero Dark Thirty. You get the sense that with the campaign, the franchise has very much grown up and I can't wait to see where the take it in the next one. My only problem with the campaignAbsolutely a great game.     In terms of Multiplayer for me personally it doesn't manage to achieve the greatness of earlier COD games and to be fully honest I'm ok with that. multiplayer is still very fun and I'll be definitely be putting a lot of hours into it. It's satisfying to play and I have no major gripes with it (Maps included).

    In terms of why I think this game is worth a 8/10 is that it's been quite a rough launch. Some crashing and lag issues have severely effected the game in these early stages. Furthermore, TTK is a bit on the low side which is a definite change from earlier games. I'm also not that happy with requiring internet to play the Campaign. Depending on how technical issues are addressed in the coming months it could easily become a 9/10 for me. If you're on the fence I'd wait till the holiday season for all the technical issues to get fixed.

    Oh and if you're seriously considering buying the game you can ignore the trolls, the astounding visuals of the game merit at least a 3 or 4 even if you hated the story and multiplayer. They haven't played the game.    … Expand

    Having not played the series in over a decade, politics aside, this game is a return to form. Taking the best features of previous installs and adding a new feel has sold me.     Graphics: 10/10 - When I played CoD4 and MW2, I never thought that one day, Call of Duty would look so amazing. I love how the game looks and all of the effort they put into it.

    Gameplay: 10/10 - This CoD just feels right.

    Multiplayer Modes: 8/10 - I love the 2v2 mode though I wish they had the mode where you pick up guns from the ground rather than start with the same loadout. I wish there was also a map voting feature.

    Fantastic gameplay, interesting story and lots of action, as usual. I’m from Russia and I don’t find story russophobian. Happy about Modern Warfare reboot, because it’s my favorite CoD.

The game ends with a shoot out on a bridge somewhere in the Ukraine where Zakhaev is then killed. Modern warfare 2 picks up where cod 4 left off with 2 new characters the us army rangers with private first class Joseph Allen and task force 141 with Roach the game basically has makarov taking over Zakhaevs leadership and starting a full scale war between the united states and Russia with the mission no Russia this war leads into Modern warfare 3 with the United States being in War with Russia and Makarov kidnapping the Russian president in order to keep the war going to stop the peace treaty, like modern warfare 2 Russia invades american soil and makes a full scale assault against the united states with all the fingers pointing at makarov which is the main antagonist of the game. Which the new modern warfare installment actually happens in between modern warfare and modern warfare 2 so calling this game russianphobic isnt even true meaning you have to call EVERY CALL OF DUTY some sort of phobic. The game and campaign is great, this is from someone who has been playing call of duty since WaW, the multiplayer is a little slow and campy but the campaign is great and shows hows Task Fore 141 was formed and shows some unanswered questions about the modern warfare series.     A fantastic deep storyline and the best PvP experience I’ve had in a CoD game since BOll!!
    P.S. also as having family from Ukraine I am glad that Activision finally had the balls to show the world what Russia truly is.

    The new call of duty is just right. The campaign is phenomenal probablly a top 5 at least. The multiplayer I also do like. I personally am a big fan of the Maps, I missed the open large maps the encouraged creativity. There are some problems though with camping and some balancing issues but overall it’s. A solid multiplayer. Spec ops is also pretty good. Operations is the better one withThe new call of duty is just right. The campaign is phenomenal probablly a top 5 at least. They essentially just used the maps from the campaign in the multiplayer, but that does not change how good the multiplayer gameplay is. The people that complain about camping are the people that probably suck at the game.

    Unlike it predecessors Call Of Duty Modern Warfare is definitely what the followers of the series truly wants:

    • The campaign is finally back with one heck of a story
    • The multiplayer has several modes that are fun to play
    • The spec-ops mode is a must try
    • The graphics & the details of the game are excellent, specially if your playing on a PS4 Pro

    This game is a must try.

    Yeah I am enjoying cod again after several years of terrible editions this one get a lot right. On a side note metacritic should probably remove some of these angry Russian reviews I am sorry you are all so upset about a fictional story in a single prayer campaign but get over it. Everyone takes thing way too personally now days it is just a game.

    Ну наконец то на рынке появился нормальный шутан да еще и с неплохим сюжетом (как для шутана). Прошел с удовольствием, жаль что сюжетная компания довольно короткая (впрочем в CoD всегда так).

    Great game, as usual for CoD. Also, quite realisitc plot, russians shown as they mostly are and I guess that is the main reason why they are so furious and trying to downvote the game. Russia want to cover loyal dictator's war crimes but remain with a good reputation - not this time. Thanks to developers and game managers for not being afraid to show real faces of the war in Syria (and not only).

    I really enjoyed singleplayer campaign and i felt like before when modern warfare parts were released.

    All i can say that u shouldnt rate this game with 0 only because you hate the "propaganda against russia" because its just a game. As critics said this game deserves to have atleast 8/10, not 3/10 because people are crying about propaganda against russians. Honestly these reviews should be deleted because people looking for reviews will easily get lost by those people.

    Its actually the first CoD game that i had to preorder because it was SO EXCELLENT in open beta.

    I mean there were alot of CoDs where Germans were the bad ones, but u didnt care, now Russians are bad once again and u are completly triggered. You must remember its just a game. A well made game.    … Expand

    The game is fantastic. The graphics are phenomenal, the storyline is excellent (clearly based on the Syrian Civil War), and everything is infused with gritty realism. Nothing else in either the CoD or Battlefield universes holds a match to it. So sit back, relax, and get ready to kill some Russians!

    I wasn't really planning on getting game anytime soon but I did. I got to say the multi-player is one of the best I've played in cod. It's a refreshing game that actually brings a challenge. All these people complaining don't even care about the game they just have their own agenda. Highly recommend a purchase I believe it is worth it.

    This game is good and very fun. The new engine is amazing and still has that classic cod feel. The campaign was very fun and has some of my favorite cod missions of all time. The multiplayer is fun except for the maps are really bad. The gunsmith is a great addition and add a lot more variety to guns. Spec ops is just as fun as I remember from MW3.     Call of Duty Modern Warfare is a great game with real world situations throughout the campaign that are not for the feint of heart. I can say graphically its incredibly well done. The story is very compelling and gives you another perspective on war. Multiplayer is very good as well I play a lot of gun fight which is my favorite but the other game modes are just as good. The guns feel very heavy and have a realistic kickback giving them a solid feel. The campaign is great, the graphics are insanely good. The online is fantastic with the original call of duty ranking system back where you unlock guns by leveling and attachments by leveling up with that gun. Issues with the naming aside, revisiting the title responsible for turning Call of Duty into one of the biggest juggernauts in gaming via this reboot has proved to be the redemption they needed. The Call of Duty experience has in no way been redefined, but by going back to basics like this and readopting the structure of their earlier works, Infinity Ward has delivered their best, most varied, and fun game since 2011's Modern Warfare 3.

    While the campaign may test your patience when it comes to Russophobia and historical revisionism, it's hard to fault the actual gameplay. Much like Call of Duty 4, the single-player offering is a diverse series of memorable and exciting encounters. The exploration of the more horrific elements of war and combat are interesting, if also controversial. Placing civilians and children infront of your gun is an odd move for a series known for deriving fun from it's bombastic action and non-stop shooting, but it did garner an emotional reaction from me when I was forced to pick shots carefully in a crowded city to avoid killing innocents or something along those lines, even if that response was just disgust at the brutality of the moment.

    The multiplayer is a blast. It's largely still the same experience we've been playing for years now in terms of the modes and core gameplay, but the new engine makes it all feel fresh again. The controls are the same, but shooting is better than ever as weapons carry a sense of real weight are more devastating than ever. The presentation is also phenomenal. The photorealistic graphics and outstanding sound design (I'll likely never tire of hearing bullet casings hit the ground) make each match just cinematic as any of the campaign levels. The amount of freedom you're given to customize your guns and overall loadouts offer the depth of an RPG and the returning War mode from WWII offers the scale and massive battles of a Battlefield game.

    The reinvigorated Spec Ops is a nice change of pace from the now repetitive Zombies offering we typically get. Although I personally would have preffered the return of Ghosts' underrated "Extinction" mode, it's hard to not appreciate the amount of genuine cooperation and tactics these missions require even if the difficulty of them can be downright grueling. I would love to see a patch that makes enemies less aggressive as often times failure isn't the result of poor planning or teamwork, but rather every AI on the map bum-rushing your location at once.

    With their last two outings coming up short of past glories and causing them to lag behind their peers in the series, Infinity Ward wisely decided to take a look back at what worked for them when they created what is still widely considered to the best Call of Duty. While not without its controversial elements in the monetization and story, this reboot is definitely a welcome return to form. Modern Warfare is once again the king of the FPS scene and it's all due to it capturing a style similar to the one that wowed everyone back in 2007.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before I give my review, I wanted to address the spam reviews over the Russian's portrayal in the campaign. There are "3 IMPORTANT FACTORS" they seemed to miss understand. First, they established the Russians your verse in the story are run by a rogue general and his regime (similar to COD 4) AND NOT A PART OF THE ACTUAL RUSSIAN MILITARY. The second and most important thing to note is this is A FICTIONAL STORY. Some of the countries and events aren't even real. If we can tolerate a Russian airport massacre in MW2, then I think we can suck it up for this. The final thing is a spoiler so skip to the next paragraph if you don't wanna read it. The ending confirms Modern Warfare is a prequel to COD 4 and Barkovs remaining forces are rounded up by Zakia's so its a part of continuity. Anyway, now I give my UNBIASED review.

    Let me start by saying, this is the best COD's been in YEARS. It's not perfect, but you have no idea how great it is to see them actually put some effort, try something new without disregarding what worked, and actually take risks. And believe me, I'm no COD shill; in fact, I haven't bought a COD game since BO2 and haven't liked one since. But I always hoped we could return to Modern Warfare's roots. I always wished the campaigns could be darker and taken more serious and the multiplayer could promote more smart and tactical playstyles like COD 4 did instead of all these run-in-gun, 360 no scope, Faze players, who in my personal opinion, really dumbed down COD. And for BETTER or WORSE, that is actually what I got.

    Starting with the campaign, it's fantastic. The reworks animations, graphics, and sound design really make this a great looking game: borderline real looking at times. And the missions, cutscenes, and transitions between are seamless and well handled. This isn't a half-baked campaign like Black Ops 3's were half of one mission is just you holding the right trigger while you wave a turret around at dumb enemies. The missions are very diverse and give you countless play styles from more empowering moments like calling drone strikes or piloted a chopper gunner to more intense, stressful (in a good way) or even borderline horrifying moments like trying to defuse a bomb vest, playing as a child who's trying to escape her village that's being attacked, or clear a apartment building with both hostile and civilians inside. And that's the best part of the campaign! It takes risks and doesn't hold back. While it might not convey the same emotion as MW2's "No Russian" mission, you can't tell me you didn't feel anything when a terrorist had a child at gunpoint and you had to refuse to let him in to protect everyone else at the embassy. It definitely gives you a lot of tough choices and the writing and characters really enforce it. Price is back and more fleshed out than ever, a lot of the new cast is great, the villains, while not AS iconic as Makarov, are still better than the usual generic villains, and the fan service to previous modern warfare games is just beautiful. My only two complaints with the campaign are the lack of intel collectibles and only around 6 hours on normal difficulty. But I'd rather have a short great campaign than a long boring one like BO3 or none like BO4.

    Now multiplayer. I hated how a lot of the recent COD maps in past games had lazy 3-lane maps with not many alternate routes that force you to just take one of 3 paths. It just promoted players to mindlessly run and gun, die and repeat the process until they get a quad feed instead of actually playing the game tactically. Yes, Call of Duty was never THE MOST tactical game, but back in COD 4, you actually tried in that game. And the maps expressed that with more complex map design with secret routines, crawl spaces, and overwatch positions. And now they brought that back... And people are complaining about the maps being too complex and too many campers just like they did in MW2. While I agree some maps like Piccadilly and Euphrates Bridge aren't great, I haven't had a frustrating time with most of them as people claim to be having. Just watch your corners, take it slow, and don't run out in the open like idiots. The gunplay feels like classic COD with some welcomed new mechanics like door breaching. The guns also feel great and this time has recoil and different sounds. There are plenty of modes to enjoy and the progression system is just addicting. While some map and weapon balancing would be nice, I'm in the minority that actually LOVES the multiplayer and actually learned the maps instead of whining about it 2 days after release.

    The last and more disappointing part is spec ops. It's not like the missions from MW1-3, but instead horde mode with objectives. And between ability glitches, non-stop enemies, and huge difficulty spikes, it's not very enjoyable. Not much else to say.

    The gameplay is COD, it's nice, it works. But where it falls short is the multiplayer maps, they just seem bad and in some modes it really easy gets to a point where one team controls 2/3 points and holds it without a chance turn the tide. I think it is because the maps are linear and you spawn on either one side or the other.
    Having spawns that are not binary is crucial to provide flexibility.

    Also grinding your guns are not all that fun, I'm sad to say that BF4 (2013) did it better. And the footsteps seems bugged, I felt like I could hear people from much further away then I should.    … Expand

    An amazing game. Story is great just like the other Infinity Ward titles in the past. a step up from Infinity Warfare that had an amazing campaign. Multiplayer is much better than previous 2 entries which were crap. Spec Ops is good fun. Graphics are beautiful. sound needs work in Multiplayer but can be easily fixed. Gun Customisation is great. best Call of Duty title since InfiniteAn amazing game.     Don't listen to anyone who gave the game 0/10 or under 6 for the matter. they are either boycotting for Spec Ops Survival not being on Xbox, or They are triggered about the enemy being Russians, which isn't all true. yes the terrorists are Russian, but the whole of Russia isn't even apart of the this group...     Another year, another Call of Duty. This time it is a soft-reboot of one of the (modern era) titles that made the Call of Duty series grow, namely the first Modern Warfare. Needless to say, I missed Captain Prince and his iconic beard and mustache.

    About the campaign, the American CIA officers and British SAS forces are said to have teamed up with some Uzbekistan rebels, with the    Another year, another Call of Duty. Despite being short, overall I liked the campaign. Don't forget that Special Ops mode connects with campaign history. Unfortunately for Xbox One and PC users, they will have to wait a year for the Survival mode.

    But going straight to one of the most central aspects of this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: the gameplay. The first impression I got was that the gameplay was to fetch some things from the Battlefield series from Eletronic Arts. This means that this game is slower and less racing than previous titles in the series, but the gameplay pleased me. And the rushers will have a bad time in Multiplayer, but later I'll explain why.

    Multiplayer and Spec Ops rankings (cooperative mode) are linked. If you are ranked 13th in Multiplayer and for the first time in Spec Ops, you are ranked 13th with the same weapons and perks. And we also have a different progression system than the other Call of Duty. When we reach level 55 (maximum level), we have a new progression option. Instead of moving to the next prestige, the players rank is cleared and we can reach the highest levels (from 1 to 100).

    About Multiplayer itself. Old modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Headquarters, and Search and Destroy are present in this Modern Warfare. We also have a mode called Ground War, which is a giant 64 player map, with vehicles and helicopters in the mix, where we have to dominate most points (Domination style) to lead our team to victory. Remember Battlefield? I think so.

    Another mode worth talking about is Gunfight. This mode takes place on very small maps, two-on-two matches and with players receiving the same Loadout to be balanced. I confess that Gunfight mode pleased me more than Ground War. Many more (free) Multiplayer modes and maps will be coming over the next few months. And don't forget that this is the first Call of Duty to support Cross-Play, meaning we can face players from other platforms. If you aren't interested in this, you can disable this option.

    Speaking of maps, Infinity Ward could have done better in this chapter. There are few maps and they are too big, especially in 6 vs 6 modes (we also have 10 vs 10 modes). But worse than that, it's the sound of footsteps that looks more like a horse race. Putting these two factors together, the game forces people to go camping (there were always campers at CoD, but not at this point) and you can see that a lot at Team Deathmatch. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can turn out to be a very Multiplayer game if you fix some of these issues. In modes other than TDM, the game can be enjoyable. In terms of connections, although previous games in the series weren't famous on this page, I had no major complaints in this Modern Warfare. There are lots of weapons with lots of attachments, each with its pros and cons. But one or two weapons that needed to be nerfed.

    We have cooperative modes (1-4 players online or offline) like Classic Survival and Special Ops (where we can use specific weapons, killstreaks and other things) where we have to face hordes of enemies of all shapes and sizes. These are challenging modes where we can't let our guard down for a second. The songs are acceptable and the same goes for Graphics (60 FPS stable on Pro). Despite its problems in Multiplayer mode that need to be fixed, overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good game.    … Expand

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
