    Jokes can't be this bad...

Horrible score-streaks, broken snipers ETC. Didn't the DEVS on twitter say that quick scoping was still in the game, but wouldn't be easy...

    Best joke 10/10

This game is the retarded child of Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare. Yeah, it's that bad! 3 years in development, and they come with this?! Really? Everyone who was working on this game should be fired!

With a video game set in the future, you are looking to see things that are new and interesting. COD:IW offers very little of either. With the exception of the space flight simulator portions, this is a copy and paste of the last few years of the game. Even the futuristic weapons are basically models of real-life modern guns with a few wires and gadgets attached to them for flavor. The M4, AK, and M14 are obvious re-skins that even the biggest gun-dunce could point out. Enemies are absolute bullet sponges which makes the gameplay feel more like laser tag than warfare. Weapon customization feels weak, and none of the weapons seem to have any personality whatsoever. One of the best parts of a FPS is finding a weapon you really like and mastering it. You won't find that here, as the weapons do very little to distinguish themselves from others.

The space dogfight gameplay is what disgusts me the most. I understand that it's not supposed to be an absolute flight simulator, but I would at least like to feel like I am flying. The controls for flying are still based on the FPS layout and things like throttle are on a movement stick and rolling your aircraft is on the d-pad. Missile firing is completely unintuitive, and can't even be used for main objectives. When the best strategy is to constantly spin around and spam your machine guns, all sense of control or accomplishment goes out the window. You are forced to dogfight in almost ever campaign level, so not only is it annoying, it is unrelentingly annoying.

The campaign is about 6 hours long, but you will wish it were less. There's a space war, we get it.

None of the characters come with any backstory and they continue to be just as shallow throughout the campaign. You will feel no attachment to any of them, or care when events happen to them. If they changed the names of all the characters halfway through the campaign, I would not have noticed. A lot of the enemies, and even some of your allies, are carbon copies of those from previous CODs. Did they even change the robots, or just re-skin them?

I was bothered by the way the game would pick and choose when to use real space physics or not. I get that this is more subjective, and they can take any artistic license you choose, but it just bugged me personally. You cannot go into space with street clothes and just a breathing mask no matter how technologically advanced your society is. There are plenty of other examples, but I'd rather not give spoilers in this review.

The graphics are fantastic. I can't say enough about this part. Once you get past the hallway-madness levels and onto planets, you will be in awe. All of the next-gen COD's seemed to have issues with their graphics engine, but this one seemed smooth with the shadows and sharp with the textures. I have heard rumors that it's not very optimized for PC, but I played it on the PS4.

Overall, I'd say this game is stunningly beautiful but otherwise vapid and common.

The start of Infinite Warfare had me impressed... it had me glued to the screen...
It was completely gorgeous, and then I run into freakin Jon Snow, and Im punched out by Connor Mcgreggor
And I thought, wow.. It doesn’t get better than this...
    And I was Right…
Because the rest of the campaign is awful…
I haven’t been around a call of duty game since ghosts… So maybe Advanced Warfare and Blackops 3 were worse... but as far as Im concerned... this is hands down the most boring first person shooter campaign ive played through ever as it completely lacks any variety…And the sad thing is that it doesn’t start that way... It creeps there…
As stated again, the beginning is great, and this game is gorgeous… You also take part in ship combat just as much as on foot… And this campaign is a record breaking 7 hours long…
But its padded out with the same boring side quests where you’re either going on foot into the same enemy ship over and over or getting into space battles that after you’ve experienced the first 3 are just no fun at all…
At first it’s thrilling and you can feel the smirks activision is giving at no man’s sky as you’re locking onto enemies and taking them out… and then you do it again.. And again…. And again…
The only redeeming quality of these side missions which really take up about 3 of the 7 hours is that they all feature collectibles in the form of actual characters... there are these wanted collectibles that attach a name and a face to random soldiers throughout different missions…
This is probably the coolest way to do collectibles and Id love to see it return in future games..
    This campaign isn’t all bad...
The beginning moments of the campaign also smacked me with so many epic moments... the story missions had character… But as soon as I became captain the game went downhill…
But who buys call of duty for single player besides me and like 3 other people…
I’m just saying once you get bored, and believe me.. You will...
Don’t drag yourself forward in hopes it gets better... because it doesn’t…
The gameplay... the shooting… the wall running…
All of it here feels bad... which is surprising...
Call of Duty’s running and guns have been the standard I judge other first person shooters with…
And they don’t even live up to their own standards here... variety is lacking, the robot enemies you fight throughout the campaign are bullet sponges which takes away the slicing through cheese satisfaction I expect from a call of duty campaign, and the jetpack and wall running ripped from titanfall feels garbage… They better rehire those guys to fix it for them and then fire them again after they have their secrets…. There’s no stickiness that makes it feel great in that game… it feels awkward every time you do it…
So you played single player for the 10/10 first 2 hour experience.. Rightfully got bored, let’s hop into some multiplayer…
You can either play zombies which this time is set in a 80s theme park, complete with the lingo and 80s music playing in the background…
    And of course competitive multiplayer…
And thankfully the multiplayer redeems as these maps are all greatly designed…
and fun to play in... At least in standard modes...
I’m not really sure what call of duty is going for with its spawn trapper mode front line
and I’m not a fan of the added gimmicks either...
If snipers weren’t annoying enough, now we have sliders and jumpers..
The jetpacks and sliding I feel add more variables of luck and cheap tactics that you don’t deal with in simple run and gun style…
The wall running can stay as it keeps the gameplay even more fast paced than usual…
But my targets getting away from me by sliding or flying around is more of a nuisance than a cool added element to strategy…
If it’s not broke don’t fix it..
There’s a reason were craving competitive shooters set in the past rather than the future…
In the case of this genre... the simpler the better…
Overall Infinite Warfare is a let down…
New maps are all it has going for it…
I give Call of Duty Infinite Warfare
    a 7/10

Why you shouldn't buy this game: It's Cod in space. IN SPACE. Jesus Christ, Cod was bad enough in recent years as it is, but with Infinite Warfare, they have killed the franchise. With the amazing SP experiences of both BF1 and TF2 that JUST came out to compare against this, this game is just embarassing! The MP also doesn't compare, its shallow and very uninspired. Slow and plodding, a repeat of every COD since Modern Warfare, which was the last good COD. I just can't recommend this game amidst the rest of the competition. I can definitely recommend TF2, and to a lesser degree, BF1, but either of those contain loads more inspiration and just general fun than this absolute junk. Please, do yourself a favor and pick up TF2, free content, updates, and an inspired and absolutely amazing SP experience. No season pass and infinitely more fun. If you hate that style, even BF1 is amazing compared to this.

It really isnt a bad game but Infinite Warfare just doesn't warrant the £50-80 price tag. They've clearly bundled IW with MW1 remastered, and not the other way round.

The developers continue to ignore the fans and plough on with this weird Halo/CoD hybrid. Its a shame as well given that Actvision's competition this year is very strong, no doubt this game will sell millions but i'd bet

If you've played Black Ops 3 you know what you're getting; more of the same, so if you like that you'll probably love IW.
But if (like me) you've grown tired of the same old formula, it's best to avoid IW and have fun with Modern Warfare instead, which is even better now its been remastered!

But honestly? just wait until MWR is released on its own (which it will be) and don't waste your money on Infinite Warfare.

None other shooter game have told a story so touching and with such depth in the past few years. I think developers at IW really wanted to say something with it. War cost more than anyone's life could offer, it doesn't matter whether you fight for good or evil. I think that's what the title Infinite Warfare actual means, the price of war could be infinite, every one is expendable.
I see it as an antiwar game, even though it actually portrayed a war.
Many people has prejudged it only because it's set in the future, but I think this doesn't matter, it's still about human nature, about how people see things and the world, about how people live and fight. And I think it actually did even better than the MW series on this. MW build many legendary characters, but not really how they are as a person, which is exactly what Infinite Warfare has done.
Plus, the battles took place in the space, were absolutely epic.

They proudly refuse to fix a single multiplayer issue their previous games had. Look up negative feedback on, honestly, COD in general, and it'll be just as valid today. There's no reason for the most lucrative franchise in gaming to be a flat, broken experience.

I'm left feeling like they're giving the middle finger to us by delivering this. "They'll buy anything with COD in its title, so why put effort in?"

Titanfall has great servers, Battlefield has great servers, but Call Of Duty consistently has mediocre or inconsistent ones?!

The aggressively broken spawning. You get shot in the back. Respawn. Someone was right behind you, and shoots you a few seconds later. Respawn. An enemy was aiming down their sights AT THE SPOT IT SPAWNED YOU ON. Respawn. Oddly, the other big FPS franchises don't have these issues.

Teams aren't balanced, and it actively keeps them imbalanced so nearly every match ends with one team winning by 20 kills or more.

Activision, and the devs, won't put genuine effort into a COD game until one sells poorly. Please let this be the one. Please. There's so much potential there if they'd care enough to fix the issues that they very literally haven't made the slightest effort to work on.

There are no major improvements from previous games. Trying to throw space in to entice the audience doesn't work. Call of Duty made one game too many focused on the future. I'll bet they go back to the historical WW1, and 2 eras in the next two games. The future they've been sharing is a shallow story that just gets repeated.

Zombie mode is the only redeeming quality but that can'tbut

Not long after that I was getting first place and CoD was good. But MWR was my main reason for buying IW - my favorite CoD Remastered - a little tweaking and somehow it was looking and running as well as IW MP. Happy me.

As for IW MP, reminds me of a mix between Ghosts and AW/BO3, which is not entirely a good thing. Not my favorite CoD, but if the hardcore mp draws players it is good enough for me.

7/10 with an extra point for MWR.

My favourite Call of Duty is being CoD4, and then the list goes down with CoD5, BO1, Ghosts, BO3, BO2, MW2, MW3 and AW being my least favourite.

This game is a solid FPS multiplayer game. I am talking about the multiplayer part. I know that flying or sliding is not the best for so many old dinosaurs like me, but Infinity Ward gave me the feeling that it can be loved with right adjustments. I did not enjoyed exo-suits at all on AW, BO3 was meh, but IW feels nice and sharp.

The game is chaos, enemies coming from everywhere, but still, it gives you some room to do your own thing. Call it sniping, run and gun, camp and collect score streaks, be an aggressive player, or a supportive one. The maps, although some of them are really small, are build on the same principles like before. Asymmetrical designs here and there, some of them quite large and will probably get negative feedback, but literally all of them allows you to do your thing. There is not one map that I think is bad.

The feelings of the guns, both ballistic and energy based ones, are great. Very solid and you can literally feel the bullets that are hitting the enemy. In my opinion this is something which makes a good Call of Duty game. There are also the variants of the guns which has special perks on them. Just to give some examples, some variants have suppressors on them so you do not need to use an attachment slot, or they have the "ping" perk which highlights enemies that are near your last prey, or even some of them give you more experience when you earn points with them. Sniping is amazing and satisfying, and no, I am not talking about quick scoping.

There are a lot of to write, but do not let fanboy-ism or horse glasses to cloud your vision when thinking about what you should get. Do your research, know what you want, and then decide. I think Infinity Ward did a good job and I would like to thank them for their sweat and effort.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW - You can get weapon variants with Supply-drops, and you will be able to buy Supply-drops with real money, so there is a very disappointing "Pay to Win" like approach to the community here. Thank you very much Activision!

IW is a fast paced, well put together fps, but I think it's downfall is going to be it's multiplayer. One thing I was a bit excited for is maybe they would have some type of multiplayer space dog fights considering how much you fly in the campaign, but that is not the case. It is VERY much still CoD. I cant say if it was Activision or Infinity Ward that decided to go with the pay 2 win mechanic but a terrible idea none the less. Especially in a highly competitive shooter like CoD. I know it may sound like I'm just a battlefield fan trying to crap on CoD but I have always LOVED both franchises for their differences but Infinite Warfare is just more CoD, whereas I think we as fans of CoD were ready for something new. I had a lot more fun with MW 3 honestly. No sliding, no double jump, no grapple, no wall running, just classic CoD. I think MW3 will have much longer legs to stand on than IW. Expand

Though there are a few moments where good ideas peek through, this game constantly fails to impress. Combat feels mundane, as if the folks at Infinity Ward and Activision want little to do with creating any strategic systems or burn the walls that prevent their games from feeling visceral - like we're actually experiencing all of this. I cannot feel any of it. The studios handling CoD continually detach gamers from stories, characters and plot development by always feeling the need to be dramatic and overly-cinematic. I feel like every moment is a near-brush with death and I get tired of it really quick. Not every moment has to or is a near-death experience and that crushes the dynamics of story telling. Comparing it to Titanfall 2, Infinite Warfare comes off looking like a game that has phoned it all in. There are no more ideas and no spouts of creativity. It's all fine-tuning the same game year after year. Sure, if you haven't played Call of Duty games before this will seem pretty decent but never great. As for the multiplayer - yawn. It's less flexible than Black Ops 3. In fact, it's basically Advanced Warfare 2 in many ways but even less exciting than that game was for me (although that campaign was good enough to finish). At this point, I want Call of Duty to die. It's a bad franchise that over-markets itself and steals available dollars from dramatically-better games. Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 are so much better it makes Infinite Warfare look like a joke, and since the guys that made Modern Warfare/Modern Warfare 2 are leading the team over Titanfall/Titanfall 2, it's an easy recommendation for anyone looking for something familiar to Call of Duty but is either bored or just simply hates it. Those idiots saying "It's all about the supply drops." have obviously never played the game or are just following the hate train like idiots they are. I haven't seen EVERYTHING the multiplayer has to offer but so far it's pretty good. The Zombies are everything Zombies are supposed to be - fun as hell, especially if you're playing with friends, of course. The only thing missing from the Zombies game mode is the atmosphere Black Ops zombies used to have. I'm talking about Black ops 1 and 2, of course. New weapons, fun characters (yeah, we're still talking about Zombies) with quotes not that cringy anymore, awesome weapon upgrades and fun maps. Is there anything else?? Well, given the campaign alone I could give this game a 10/10 but of course, this is not Battlefield where people actually review only multiplayer because it's the game's strongest point and then give it 10/10. As a whole game, this deserves AT LEAST 9. I can't really imagine sane people giving the game less than 8 or 7 for that matter because everything I've seen so far are zeroes. Why zeroes? Read those reviews, they make little to no sense at all. "Supply drops, terrible maps a story that is so bizarre that Dark Souls makes more sense (sadly)..." Yea, I copied someone's review. Sure, this guy is still gonna mention supply drops but of course, no one's gonna talk about Battlepacks. People tend to **** on this game for being futuristic when they wanted a change but, of course, those people don't know that this game has been in development since AW. Infinity Ward couldn't just cancel those 2 years of hard work. But as I said, those are idiots, spitting fire around while knowing almost no facts about the game's development. "It's futuristic so it's **** Don't bother arguing with those... Anyways, I'm getting off topic here because I was supposed to just review a game. Well, I did that, although not in full details. I'm kinda bad at writing reviews. This whole hate train thing I've been writing most of the time was necessary. I wanted to let others who had no opinion on the game at all and who are probably thinking of buying it to realize why the user score is so low. This game deserves no less than about 90 in general. The game isn't bad, lets get that out of the way immediately, the campaign isn't bad, it can be fun if you don't take it too seriously, sort of the fun, sci fi action you'd expect, the introduction of space combat isn't as much a breath rather an entire planet full of fresh air, that mixes things up right when they start to get stale. The zombies is also fun, definitely taking advantage of the amusement park setting. But what everyone wants to know is the Multiplayer, how is the multiplayer? Boring. That's it. Boring. If you played Black Ops 3 then you know what to expect, and that is the problem, more of the same. This was their chance to fix Black ops 3 broken movement system, sure, have double jumps, I don't mind them, but don't have some terrible "glide" system that is less effective than Black Ops 3 supply drops, and go back to a simpler AW system that allows strategic quick movements, rather than gently glide. If i'm being shot at, i'd prefer AW's exo system so that with one click of a trigger, I can dodge out of the way to get a chance to fight back, not this system where I slowly move out of the way like i'm on a skateboard. But another gripe with multiplayer is the lack of weapons, seriously there are only a little over 20 weapons, in the whole game...I'm not joking, even Battlefield 1, which had the disadvantage of being in World War I had about the same number of weapons if not more. For a 60 dollar game being able to unlock all the weapons within a day is unacceptable and for me brings the score down a whole point. Just think about it, its a future game with SPACE warfare, and they couldn't be bothered to come up with more options, hell, 5 of the weapons aren't even new, they are just weapons from previous games in which one of them is about as effective as a BB gun. Supply drops are back and so is customization, sort of a mix of AW's customization which I really liked, and BO3's system which I disdain. People complain about the Customization of AW, but you know what? If I want to dress up like a gingerbread man, let me, Its not like I take the game seriously in the first place. Its called CUSTOMIZATION for a reason. But as of now, you can't buy supply drops, but we all know they will be in a month or two so lets just take a point away now so I don't have to come back and edit this. Anyway, not a bad game, certainly fun when you play anything but the multiplayer, but besides it, I'd say wait for it to go on sale during the Christmas season rather than spend a full 60 on it.

This takes from what I considered the best CoD in years (Bo3) and speeds it up a little, feel like Bo3 but you have the health value like ghosts, which means you die quicker. It can also mean you get a really good streak going and if you are on your game can absolutely destroy. It's not innovative but if you liked Bo3 , or CoD in general its excellent and a refined version of the game.

MW remaster MP is also awesome, as it was years ago, loved revisiting that and can't wait to play more.

Sega Saturn called it wants it's graphics back. This game is a joke. Activision has run it into the ground and now with the small hardcore player base they have left they're trying to suck them dry through supply drop scams. You'd be a fool to waste your time on this game when you have better options out there.

First of all: It's a damn shame people are somehow logically (not sure how) able to compare CoD with Battlefield. CoD is a fast-paced, arcade first-person shooter (you know, like Doom or GoldenEye back in the day) whereas Battlefield is a slower-paced, war simulation first-person shooter. CoD is a fast-paced, arcade first-person shooter (you know, like Doom or GoldenEye back in the day) whereas Battlefield is a slower-paced, war simulation first-person shooter. Both games are good at their OWN thing. If you can realize that, which is logical and can be proven on many bases, then we can move on and judge Call of Duty Infinite Warfare for what it is.

The good: it has a great single player campaign, which CoD has been lacking for some time now.
The other good: I happen to like Black Ops 3, and this multiplayer took more from Blops 3 than it did from Advanced Warfare (thank god!). Now, it also took some failures from Ghosts, unfortunately. The maps are a lot of fun and the weapons feel less futuristic than Blops 3 or AW weapons do, which is nice.

The other, other good: Yes, I got the Legacy edition. Yes, it was part of Activision's "scheme." So, yes, I've been enjoying both IW and MW:RE But (for those who like to compare), I hope you don't cry out when EA screws you with their pay-to-win, because that is definitely coming in a couple of months after they're done with holiday sales.

The bad: It is too much like Blops 3 in too many ways. But the good to that? They improved some issues Blops 3 had. The other bad to that? If Blops wasn't Treyarch, then IW should have been an expansion - more or less - to Blops 3. Oh well.

The really, really, really bad: the fanbase. Since the release of Ghosts, due to the high number of new players brought to the franchise by Blops 2, I have seen the CoD fanbase get more and more toxic. Some of them have good points, but are easily drowned out by those who have no clue what they're talking about when they say, "Why can't we cut the futuristic bullsh*t," because... well, quite simply, their first CoD was Blops 2, and that was futuristic. So... yeah.

Naturally, when you have a game as easy to pick up and enjoy as CoD, you will get a lot of low-hanging fruit kind of players; people who only play CoD and one or two other games; people who don't know anything about what it means to actually look at the good points and bad points of a game. Unfortunately, everyone has a soapbox these days, and people tend to jump on bandwagons and get off them just as quickly.

Back to the game: If you enjoy a good story mode (not because "Jon Snow" is in it) and a fun, repetitive (when was it ever not), fast-paced, ARCADE fps game, then you will enjoy CoD (especially if you get Legacy edition) and, perhaps, will start getting bored of it sometime near June or so.... ready for whatever the next announcement is at E3. But if you do, genuinely, without peer-pressure from stupid kids, enjoy the action and fluidity of CoD, you will no doubt keep coming back to it every weekend with that feeling of "man, I wanna play some fast-paced shooter in a small map."

This is something Battlefield 1 cannot offer. That's why so many on here, including myself, are saying the logical: Don't listen to BF fanboys. They're on the bandwagon. Soon, they'll say another game is better than BF. It may even be the next CoD game, for all they care, because they have no opinion of their own.

Infinite Warfare is a shame to the CoD name. The story is very generic, the characters are very bland and vanilla and the multiplayer is not enjoyable at all. I was hoping they would fix certain issues after the Beta like the unnatural movement of your character and weapon recoil.

I am someone who really enjoyed Black Ops 3. Yes it was set in the future but the major differences between Infinite Warfare and Black Ops 3 is that it was actually fun, enjoyable and just better made. This game is a step back to CoD: Ghost and we all know how bad that game was.

I'm just gonna return this game and exchange it for Titanfall 2 or Mafia 3.

Here's the deal. COD IW is not a bad game. But the competition is providing a better product with similar gameplay but with two major differences.
    - Much better level design/MP pace.
    - No microtrasanctions or pay to win. Having wasted $60 to buy this game, I'm now left a bit disappointed as I think I would rather wait for price drops or invested in other games. Let me put it this way.

As a whole package, all the praise should be going toward the single player experience, and I'd never thought I'd say that about a Call of Duty game in a long time. But in all honestly, it’s true. As for the multiplayer, it makes for an incredibly mundane and subpar experience that almost parodies itself. Completely making it very difficult to recommend the game as a whole.
