As a real gamer i like to try a game first BEFORE hating it and not just because "Call Of Duty" is in the title.
If you're like me and not played COD for a few year IW is a great way to jump back, the campaign is awesome and multiplayer lots of fun. It also comes packaged with the best FPS of all time MW1. Dont jump on the hate bandwagon, be a real gamer and try for yourself.

Normally I start a review out with a on the spot joke that three people laugh at, but I need to say something that has been bugging me right now. If you hate Call of Duty Infinite Warfare without playing based on whatever stupid reason you can justify in your head all I can say is shut the **** up. So what if this isn’t the Call of Duty you wanted it is still an amazing game. HelloNormally I start a review out with a on the spot joke that three people laugh at, but I need to say something that has been bugging me right now. If you hate Call of Duty Infinite Warfare without playing based on whatever stupid reason you can justify in your head all I can say is shut the **** up. So what if this isn’t the Call of Duty you wanted it is still an amazing game. Hello internet folks B-rod, and I must say Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is the best game since Black Ops 2. They put a **** load of work into this game to make it great. This is what sequels are supposed to be it takes the formula that we are used to and adds upon it to make it a new game. If you just want the same FPS experience then play the same ****ing game, and let the rest of us play the new one that’ll add a new experience.

The game story is fantastic it takes place in the year of the future ( I have no clue what year) and a war has broken out with the people living on Mars and the people of Earth. You play Generic White Man the 4th who is basically more seriously less wanting to bang everything Captian Kirk. You are going against evil Jon Snow. I joke because Kit Harington plays the villain, but even the mannerisms are like if Jon Snow was just a villain instead of righteous hero. Sadly Kit Harington is the least compelling character in this game, which is probably because he is hardly in it. My personal favorite character is the robot companion Ethan. In my last review I said how charming the Titan was in Titanfall 2. No. **** that Titan Ethan is where it is at. Ethan is a funny, sarcastic, hero. Ethan is if Han Solo was a droid instead of a scruffy looking nerf herder. The story can be played by plowing through just the story missions or you can do the variety of side mission which vary from space combat or boarding enemy vessel to blow it up from the inside. The game is very cinematic with each main story beat either having me scream “oh **** or just having me very engaged to what was happening on the screen. That’s great and all, but how’s the gameplay?

The gameplay is Call of Duty in space; which we’ve seen already. What is new is the space combat the dog fighting is very enthralling probably because it is in space, but it is just super fun. The future tech is interesting I like that they added new guns that aren’t just machine gun, sniper, shotgun. You get a big ass gun that shoots a stream of laser that’ll eviscerate your enemy. It helps that it made me think of the weapons in District 9. For all you multiplayer fans I can’t say a damn thing to that because I just didn’t have time to cry for three hours. So maybe that is what everyone has a problem with I honestly don’t know.

Overall I loved this game, and only wish Activision didn’t screw around with making the $80 bundle with Modern Warfare, because I think that put a bad taste in people’s mouth, and they didn’t need to do it because this is a solid game. I say if you are a fan of the Call of Duty story definitely check it out. To the nah sayers out there I say rent this game seriously give this a shot, because this is a solid entry I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I did. I give this a 4.5/5 I couldn’t give it a perfect score only because I didn’t touch the multiplayer.

Reyes and Salt, among the other great characters, bring the campaign to life in a way that previous titles in the franchise haven't been able to do. This is an all-out war - and you really sense that. Combined with the amazing graphics both in-game and during cutscenes, it is impossible not to be immersed into the story - except if you're a flat-out hater. The campaign of Infinite Warfare shows a subtlety that is not present in any other title in the franchise. You get the sense that IW took some notes from games like The Last of Us and realized that sometimes - less is more. In Infinite Warfare, every cutscene is not filled with epic battles while being blasted with loud music, but instead we get to learn about the individual characters in a movie-like manner where sometimes the music might even be completely absent. Another key element is the continuity when it comes to artistic style in the campaign. There is a distinct filter that just makes everything pop. It looks professional, real, and life-like.

When it comes to the multiplayer I'll be honest - at first, I hated it and actually quit. However, after continually playing it I have gotten used to it. Most of the maps are decent, while others aren't exactly my favourite, but that's always the case. I'm not a huge fan of the implementation of weapon variants as it favours pay-to-win, but I've come to the conclusion that they don't make the biggest difference in-game. The rigs are probably the biggest problem in the multiplayer section. They just feel... boring. This is where IW should have taken notes from Treyarch and their specialists, who each had a voice, backstory and intention. The rigs are just simply... there. But again, the multiplayer by itself plays well once you get used to it.

Zombies is back and this time with a theme-park setting set in the past. At first, I thought it would be too goofy, but I've come to like it as it brings back vibes from the movie "Zombieland". So this zombies experience is a really fun one - if you're matched with people who actually know what they are doing.

Finally, it is by far the campaign of Infinite Warfare that has the biggest impact on the score.

Most underrated and unfairly hated COD of all time. I had 25 days spent on its multiplayer: great maps, great guns, great flow, great gameplay. This is actually the only COD I ever loved. It's a damn shame it didn't get the original trilogy it was planned to have as I'd be set for the next decade. Oh well.

This is my favorite cod game since Black Ops 1. I hated advanced warfare and blogs 3, not a fan of the jet packing around. However, they nailed the movement in this game, it feels great. They reduced the TTK which makes it feel more like Modern Warfare and Black Ops 1. The leveling up is extremely satisfying.

The gameplay just feels great. Yes, there are other great games out there but that's no reason to give this game a 0... If a game runs than it should at least get a 1. The barrage of negative reviews is absurd.

Call of duty infinite warfare, is one of the best CODs released since black ops 2. From what i've played on the SP so far best single player since MW2. MP is a hell load of fun, but seems like a little re copy of blops 3 (just re skinned). Zombies is eh, good map but never had been a zombies fan.

MW1 is OK, needs to be more balanced in guns and needs better servers

Disregard anyone giving a COD score below a 5. We get MW back, COD4, and it's almost as good as it was before, that gives the game an 8 without going further. Why isn't it as good as it was, because they blocked off some doors, nothing major, but nobody likes a door that is locked.

We also get two single player campaigns, and a new fresh zombies, and we get an additional multiplayer.

Boy was I happy when I saw the trailer for this game at E3 at 1st I thought it was the new star wars game, but it looked way to good for that. When I found out it was Call of Duty I went nuts. I had just come off Black Ops 3 and loved that game.

This is a different developer and they have a different style, with that being said and understood, "infinity ward" did a very good job on this one. I really like the campaign its an emotional story and with out spoiling it, I enjoyed my 2nd and 3rd play through more knowing the stories outcome already, as weird as that sounds. The graphics were great, gunplay awesome, guns were very good and sounded "loud". This is most defiantly a space shooter and it kicks ass.

Zombies is really fun this year, they used the same engine as black ops3 it looks like, but now its an 80's theme and its really fun. It's not as serious as last time around and more focused on fun. Think gta san andres time frame, but with zombies. They have the season pass comes with 4 more zombie chapters, which if there as good as this one, I'll be excited...

Multiplayer, is really fun I think the maps are smaller making it more frantic. There are plenty of modes and if you don't like people online they have bots with three difficulty levels, to play against. They have tons of maps and again with the season pass there are 4 times as many more.

For an extra $20 you can get the legacy edition which comes with "infinity wards" most famous title modern ware in a remastered edition which is cool if you want that too. I got the regular edition as I'm more into modern COD.But now I must admit I regret that decision. Also I saw the digital deluxe version for $100 which included the legacy edition plus the season pass(oh well missed out on that).

This game was really fun, very high quality as far as visuals, gameplay and sound design goes. The three modes all play well and are very interesting and entertaining. The stand out its the campaign this year but the two other modes do well to compliment each other for a complete package.

That said, I recently picked up a used version of Infinite Warfare for PS4, largely because I wanted a fun couch co-op/competitive shooter that might rekindle memories of the last CoD game I played - MW3 more than several years ago. I have been very impressed. The single player is very much CoD in space with a nice dash of BSG in the story. It's corny but frenetic and fun.

The multiplayer I've played so far is tight and fun. Not terribly different from the experience from MW3; probably faster, quicker spawn to death, and a decent attempt by a dev team trying to capture the wall-running sci fi magic that Respawn perfected in Titanfall 2. The modes are diverse, the guns typically balanced, and the perks/superpowers fun and not too OP or game skewing. But it is fun.

I wish the 1v1 maps/mode from that latter MW3 update was here, but the bots are surprisingly good for bots. They cut moves (spot proning for example) that are good practice for someone trying to practice maps and play around with weapons etc..

Zombies is a great experience too, and very fun for cough co-op. Seriously, with all the zombie DLC that has been released, this mode is easily a fully fleshed out stand-alone.

The fact that 4/5s of Zombies and over half of the MP maps are locked behind a $50 season pass, is absolutely inexcusable though. I bought infinite for 20 bucks and I want to buy the DLC but at this point, just even a few months before the sequel sequel releases, $50 for the full content is a blatantly cynical and abusive posture by Activision. Surprise, surprise.

To be fair, the content in the base game looks expensive, high production values and quality. The DLC does seem like a lot of content. It is still too expensive, and the money grubbing practice it over all insulting.

Overall, I am really enjoying this game in all three of its main pillars (Campaign, MP, and Zombies). This is a great game solo and even better local or online with other people. If you like shooters, and can find this one on discount, it is absolutely worth checking out. Full price for the base game, season pass (not to mention MW remastered), probably not.

Activation deserves an infinite amount of criticism for their avaricious approach to marketing games but this game is certainly good and it's ultimately hard to criticize a company for squeezing a player base with abandon, when they continue to make bank in the process. Capitalism baby for better or worse.

Now Infinite Warfares Campaign is one of the best ive played in the series. Twist and turns great characters with real emotions. Ethan "E3N" one of the main characters (robot) is an amazing character that always tries to be funny at times even when thousands are dead. Especially when it gathers other robots and says "they are idiots, but they can fight" cracked me up. The ending was great but was sad at the same time. I will miss Ethan and the others as at the end you get to hear all the 8 main characters that are on the ship death letters and they are touching and made me cry. Now i only cry in campaign or tv if its the end of a series (DBZ Avatar and God of war) but now in a Cod Campaign. I kind of cried when Soap died and when Elias in ghosts died aswell. Call of duty is known for their gripping stories and this is not exception and is beautifully made.

Now Zombies this is the best Survival mode since Black ops 1. Its not as fast as Black ops 3 but its just it was in BO1/WAW. The survival aspect is great and the rides are fun for extra playabilty. Its fun with friends and definitely worth a try.

NOW THE "Big" Multiplayer. Well Call of duty is for the package not just Multiplayer and is why others dont know anything because they dont play everything. Multiplayer is fun and frantic just like other cods. The addition of Rigs Just like Black ops 3 but this time affects your playstyle. Having the option to change the voice to a female is neat though you still look like a guy, makes it easier to play any rig you want. The custisation options is more then before with Accessories for your guns which are neat. Now the weapons are amazing with addition of Classic weapons making Prestiging usefull again and the addition of other weapons that have been modded for the game like the AK-47 modded with lasers (Volk), the return of the Vector and an old classic WW1 sniper rifle (also seen in Battlefield 1) with a modded sight. The guns are balanced. The return of Gun variants are dont better with the option of getting them all with out spending any money and even then they are still balanced with small perks like infinite breathe or 25Kill gun streak (instead of 30). The camos are neat and look great. The hit dection is on point, and the coneection can use some work. The movement has been refined and overall feels better and suits the space theme as why have Suits that need Boosters and not use them. The addition of mission teams is great as it gives you more stuff to do while playing like kill a certain number of people or assists these also unlock certain customisation features and weapon variants.

Overall this is a great game and makes it feel like older cods while still being new. The campaign is great and the zombies is fun. The multiplayer is just as good. THUMBS UP TO Infinity Ward.

Originally, i wanted a return to old wars like WW2, or Vietnam, which ive always wanted to see, but since Battlefield 1 covered that with greatness, and we also got MWR, i was good with the future sci-fi setting, and it turned out marvelous. Graphics are unreal, combat/gameplay is super fast, hectic, and phenomenal. Weapons and gear offer up some truely amazing options, both innovating and awesome. All that, and while im not done yet, it appears that it will be yet another in a recent string of lengthy fps on the market. Battlefield 1 campaign gave me 13 hours on hard, Titanfall 2 gave me 14 hours on hard. This looks the same. MP is just flat out fun. Zombies is great, and super fun. COD Infinite Warfare is simply a masterpiece. IF i could rate it higher than a 10/10 i would. 3 straight fps in last 30 days with perfect scores. While Respawn Entertainment scored big with Titanfall 2, the new guys at Infinity Ward have actually topped the old guys and their Modern Warfare games. Unbelievable.
P.S. I have no clue why ANYONE is showing this game hate, and giving it ridiculous scores. No game in the world deserves a zero people if it even only works. You haters need to read and understand how ratings scales work. Your reviews just make you look laughably bad.

The setting and gear come together as more serious, way less childish than BO3. Movement is a may be a bit clunkier (like you can feel the weight of the armor) but I actually like that because it makes the game seem more down to earth. One of the best optimizations is that the game will load multiplayer maps while you are waiting in the lobby, so the loading times are super short. It also seems better optimized than BO3 - my PS4 remains surprisingly quite at all times, whereas sometimes while playing BO3 my console's fans would go absolutely berserk and I was expecting it to take off into space. I purchased the bundle with MW Remastered and I absolutely love it! It's just so nice to play an old COD on current consoles and engage in nostalgia. It's quite striking how different these two games play, even though they may look similar. I can't really say whether I prefer the old COD or the new one. I just like them both and each can be better than the other, depends on how you look at it. It's just sad that if people simply don't like shooters or COD that they rate this game low. If you don't like it that does not necessarily mean it's a bad game. For example, I can't stand RPGs that take hundreds of hours to complete and have an insanely massive story, but you don't see me grabbing Witcher 3 and then giving it 1 just because I don't like the type of the game. No, they're pretty good, although compared to many shooters nowadays it could've been better. Gameplay is really good as well. They also added side missions and I'm not quite sure if they can affect the game's ending. You can recognize a good CoD by it's singleplayer, and this one delivers just what CoD4, for example, delivered. Multiplayer is quite similar to BO3 but it's not bad in any way. Those idiots saying "It's all about the supply drops." have obviously never played the game or are just following the hate train like idiots they are. I haven't seen EVERYTHING the multiplayer has to offer but so far it's pretty good. The Zombies are everything Zombies are supposed to be - fun as hell, especially if you're playing with friends, of course. The only thing missing from the Zombies game mode is the atmosphere Black Ops zombies used to have. I'm talking about Black ops 1 and 2, of course. New weapons, fun characters (yeah, we're still talking about Zombies) with quotes not that cringy anymore, awesome weapon upgrades and fun maps. Is there anything else?? Well, given the campaign alone I could give this game a 10/10 but of course, this is not Battlefield where people actually review only multiplayer because it's the game's strongest point and then give it 10/10. As a whole game, this deserves AT LEAST 9. I can't really imagine sane people giving the game less than 8 or 7 for that matter because everything I've seen so far are zeroes. Why zeroes? Read those reviews, they make little to no sense at all. "Supply drops, terrible maps a story that is so bizarre that Dark Souls makes more sense (sadly)..." Yea, I copied someone's review. Sure, this guy is still gonna mention supply drops but of course, no one's gonna talk about Battlepacks. People tend to **** on this game for being futuristic when they wanted a change but, of course, those people don't know that this game has been in development since AW. Infinity Ward couldn't just cancel those 2 years of hard work. But as I said, those are idiots, spitting fire around while knowing almost no facts about the game's development. "It's futuristic so it's **** Don't bother arguing with those... Anyways, I'm getting off topic here because I was supposed to just review a game. Well, I did that, although not in full details. I'm kinda bad at writing reviews. This whole hate train thing I've been writing most of the time was necessary. I wanted to let others who had no opinion on the game at all and who are probably thinking of buying it to realize why the user score is so low. This game deserves no less than about 90 in general. It's great but many fail to realize that because of, well, the hate train. Expand

First of all: It's a damn shame people are somehow logically (not sure how) able to compare CoD with Battlefield. CoD is a fast-paced, arcade first-person shooter (you know, like Doom or GoldenEye back in the day) whereas Battlefield is a slower-paced, war simulation first-person shooter. CoD is a fast-paced, arcade first-person shooter (you know, like Doom or GoldenEye back in the day) whereas Battlefield is a slower-paced, war simulation first-person shooter. Both games are good at their OWN thing. If you can realize that, which is logical and can be proven on many bases, then we can move on and judge Call of Duty Infinite Warfare for what it is.

The good: it has a great single player campaign, which CoD has been lacking for some time now.
The other good: I happen to like Black Ops 3, and this multiplayer took more from Blops 3 than it did from Advanced Warfare (thank god!). Now, it also took some failures from Ghosts, unfortunately. The maps are a lot of fun and the weapons feel less futuristic than Blops 3 or AW weapons do, which is nice.

The other, other good: Yes, I got the Legacy edition. Yes, it was part of Activision's "scheme." So, yes, I've been enjoying both IW and MW:RE But (for those who like to compare), I hope you don't cry out when EA screws you with their pay-to-win, because that is definitely coming in a couple of months after they're done with holiday sales.

The bad: It is too much like Blops 3 in too many ways. But the good to that? They improved some issues Blops 3 had. The other bad to that? If Blops wasn't Treyarch, then IW should have been an expansion - more or less - to Blops 3. Oh well.

The really, really, really bad: the fanbase. Since the release of Ghosts, due to the high number of new players brought to the franchise by Blops 2, I have seen the CoD fanbase get more and more toxic. Some of them have good points, but are easily drowned out by those who have no clue what they're talking about when they say, "Why can't we cut the futuristic bullsh*t," because... well, quite simply, their first CoD was Blops 2, and that was futuristic. So... yeah.

Naturally, when you have a game as easy to pick up and enjoy as CoD, you will get a lot of low-hanging fruit kind of players; people who only play CoD and one or two other games; people who don't know anything about what it means to actually look at the good points and bad points of a game. Unfortunately, everyone has a soapbox these days, and people tend to jump on bandwagons and get off them just as quickly.

Back to the game: If you enjoy a good story mode (not because "Jon Snow" is in it) and a fun, repetitive (when was it ever not), fast-paced, ARCADE fps game, then you will enjoy CoD (especially if you get Legacy edition) and, perhaps, will start getting bored of it sometime near June or so.... ready for whatever the next announcement is at E3. But if you do, genuinely, without peer-pressure from stupid kids, enjoy the action and fluidity of CoD, you will no doubt keep coming back to it every weekend with that feeling of "man, I wanna play some fast-paced shooter in a small map."

This is something Battlefield 1 cannot offer. That's why so many on here, including myself, are saying the logical: Don't listen to BF fanboys. They're on the bandwagon. Soon, they'll say another game is better than BF. It may even be the next CoD game, for all they care, because they have no opinion of their own.

Multiplayer is incredibly fun when it's not lagging. seems like the lag has gotten really bad since Ghost. hearing they got rid of the dedicated servers that AW and BO3 had is disappointing. there's nothing special about the weapons. all the maps are small enough where there's no reason to use an AR. this is very much an SMG game.

as for MW:R- yes, it's identical to the old game ... camping like crazy, OP unbalanced weapons, grenade spam, the noob tube unlocked at LVL 1, easiest quickscoping in the series, no customization, and dusty green-brown maps that are all undiscernable from each other. if you REALLY want to go back to that ... it's all there ... they stayed so true to the original that all the map and weapon glitches are still there ... the graphics are slighty better and they added Kill Confirmed.

I've never understood why COD4 gets the praise it does. I think it's just because it's the "thing" to do in the COD community. the next 5 games in the franchise are all thousands of times better. an old broken game that goes back 2 entire generations of consoles in it's limitedness. most of the people praising it in the reviews of this game are too young to have played it when it was new.

in 2006, Modern Warfare was an amazing, beautiful game that had unique gameplay and made fps'ers the most popular genre in gaming. that was 10 years ago :) ... the nostalgia of a "boots on the ground" game is fun for awhile, but it's beyond me why someone wouldn't want to play a newer game with so much more to do that's on the same disc.

Lastly- those saying multiplayer is "pay to win" are complete liars and probably BF fanboys haters. you can get enough points for a supply drop in like 3 games. there's fewer weapon variants than AW, and all of them can be earned for free if you grind the game enough. Also the disc contains both games, you don't need to enter a code in at the store to get MW:R. so if you do decide to sell your game in the future, MW:R will be totally available and functional.

Every COD campaign has it flaws. But this one is the best i have seen in a long time. Exceptional story characters and game play. However, the multiplayer is the worst since Ghost. Too much mix of BO3. Zombies could have been better but is still fun to play.

As far as this game goes it's not revolutionary, but it is FUN. Which is more than I can say for what has become of the battlefield series.

None other shooter game have told a story so touching and with such depth in the past few years. I think developers at IW really wanted to say something with it. War cost more than anyone's life could offer, it doesn't matter whether you fight for good or evil. I think that's what the title Infinite Warfare actual means, the price of war could be infinite, every one is expendable.
I see it as an antiwar game, even though it actually portrayed a war.
Many people has prejudged it only because it's set in the future, but I think this doesn't matter, it's still about human nature, about how people see things and the world, about how people live and fight. And I think it actually did even better than the MW series on this. MW build many legendary characters, but not really how they are as a person, which is exactly what Infinite Warfare has done.
Plus, the battles took place in the space, were absolutely epic.

Multiplayer was initially broken with game breaking lag and very quick time to kill. Now after putting a good few days into the MP and learning the maps, weapons, perks and traits I have changed my opinion. The lag seems to have improved with the many patch updates, that's not to say its gone but I feel I'm having far more decent games now and fair gun fights. The dev team are supporting the game relatively well and are on top of improvements and patches. They removed two maps to fix them which took longer than expected with Grounded still not making an apperance at the time of writing, but Genesis is back with the bugs fixed, which shows me they actually care about the game.

So how is it playing now compared to release? Much better. I'm finding the games to be very fun, skilled, fast paced and enjoyable. It is very addictive and one of the better futuristic cods. Much better than Blops 2, Blops 3, AW and Ghosts. I'd say its on par with MW3.

The new movement (once used to it) works very well. All weapons can do a good amount of damage and you can play well with them. Some of the maps are excellent such as Frost, Precinct, Genesis, Mayday and Frontier and play well on nearly all game modes. The larger maps however only tend to work with objective based gameplay and can slow the pace of the game right down.

There are some really decent weapons that feel good to use. Most weapons in the game are more than usable including sniper rifles. Shotguns need a bit of a boost and you still get hitmarkers and short range meaning they don't tend to play a role in the game.

Scorestreaks are too high. Getting the larger ones seems an impossible task considering spawns flip too easily meaning you get shot in the back a lot. If you run care package then you do get to ise the higher ones now and then but most games the highest scorestreak you see is the warden and then any below it. The warden is a bit of a pain and really I think the game would be better off without it. Lots of people run hardline rendering perk 2 slot useless as you really need it to achieve scorestreaks. The nuke is impossible, never seen one and the youtubers who've got them seem to be playing against the braindead (or their friends who just so happen to not be able to kill them). A pointless streak unless you are a booster.

Micro-transactions come in the form of supply drops. You can unlock them with keys instead of paying. You also get salvage which takes a long time to build up. Supply drops are way overpriced, and considering you have no idea if you are going to get that legendary you really want are not worth the money.

Despite its hang ups, IW is shaping up to be a really fun addictive game. The graphics are nice and colorful and bold. Multiplayer is the best we've seen since MW3 and I actually enjoy playing this COD. By no means better than MW2 (the best cod imo) but way better than the modern CODs.

It comes packaged with COD4 remaster, but it's aged badly and is no fun anymore, I've totally ignored it.

So if you want a fun MP experience with sharp addictive gameplay give it a go.

How people can vehemently disparage this game and recommend games like Battefield 1 is beyond my comprehension. Reading so many negative reviews almost makes me feel bad for having fun while playing this game. I'm 22 years old, have played just about all of the highest rated video games out there, and yet I'm still finding enjoyment in this game. It's NOT bad.

Has anyone giving this a 0,1, or 2 ever played a bad game? They are definitely out there, thousands and thousands of software worse than this, and yet they score higher. Why is this? I have to believe that many of the people leaving low scores on this site never gave the game a chance, and want to draw people towards the games they pre-ordered and purchased instead, justifying their choice of one of the three big FPS titles (four including Destiny).

A lot of people also choose to relate this game to the other CoD titles; comparing to the other CoD titles is ok when listing similarities and differences, but is that really a justification for such a low score? Not everyone has played ALL of the previous titles, so it seems more realistic to judge this as a standalone title, especially since it is not a sequel to any of the previous games in any sense of the word. If you come in expecting a different formula, referring to the simplified multiplayer, zombies, and action-movie hand-holding linear campaign, then you will be disappointed, and your negative experience is almost entirely your fault. This is why:

You don't by a cheeseburger and expect them to deliver you a salad. You don't order a Call of Duty title and expect Fallout. or Overwatch. or the classic Battlefields. or whatever.

The above is mostly rant, although that line about the cheeseburger is spot on ;)

    Now for the real critique:

IW by itself offers a ton of content for your $60 price tag, but unless you have no idea how sales or offers at places like Amazon, Gamestop, Ebay, or Steam work, you should not be paying that full $60. A more realistic price for this game is $40 by itself. For example, by using several Gamestop promotions, I obtained the Legacy Pro edition for around $30 (retail price at $120).
It has an adrenaline-fueled campaign with space combat, dog-fights, and lots and lots of big bad military enemies to shoot. It offers an interesting but familiar take on the classic zombies mode with an overwhelming amount of easter-eggs, and a multiplayer with fun game modes such as Defender (my favorite), Frontline, and the classic Domination, TDM, FFA, etc. The maps are colorful and lane'd in a way that provides controlled flanking, the spawns aren't incredibly useless, and the guns are mostly balanced (you don't see everyone using 1 particular gun).

My biggest issue with the multiplayer is the gun variants that offer perks and stat-boosts, although they give several ways to obtain these, and they aren't game-breaking improvements.

The campaign offers a hub-world hybrid on a big ship where you can walk around the ship and choose your next mission (there are even side-missions, which is always interesting). There's some moments of emotion, hyper-unrealistic points of climax, witty military banter, everything you'd expect in a space-war campaign. You'll enjoy it if you don't take it too seriously. I did find myself laughing at many of the "serious" parts, and that makes me like it even more.

TL:DR: The campaign is cheesy, the multiplayer and zombies are essentially recycled with updated visuals, pace changes, guns, and game modes; but that doesn't make it a bad game. 8/10 for me, I'll go have fun now. no regrets.

It can also mean you get a really good streak going and if you are on your game can absolutely destroy. It's not innovative but if you liked Bo3 , or CoD in general its excellent and a refined version of the game.

My favourite Call of Duty is being CoD4, and then the list goes down with CoD5, BO1, Ghosts, BO3, BO2, MW2, MW3 and AW being my least favourite.

This game is a solid FPS multiplayer game. I am talking about the multiplayer part. I know that flying or sliding is not the best for so many old dinosaurs like me, but Infinity Ward gave me the feeling that it can be loved with right adjustments. I did not enjoyed exo-suits at all on AW, BO3 was meh, but IW feels nice and sharp.

The game is chaos, enemies coming from everywhere, but still, it gives you some room to do your own thing. Call it sniping, run and gun, camp and collect score streaks, be an aggressive player, or a supportive one. The maps, although some of them are really small, are build on the same principles like before. Asymmetrical designs here and there, some of them quite large and will probably get negative feedback, but literally all of them allows you to do your thing. There is not one map that I think is bad.

The feelings of the guns, both ballistic and energy based ones, are great. Very solid and you can literally feel the bullets that are hitting the enemy. In my opinion this is something which makes a good Call of Duty game. There are also the variants of the guns which has special perks on them. Just to give some examples, some variants have suppressors on them so you do not need to use an attachment slot, or they have the "ping" perk which highlights enemies that are near your last prey, or even some of them give you more experience when you earn points with them. Sniping is amazing and satisfying, and no, I am not talking about quick scoping.

There are a lot of to write, but do not let fanboy-ism or horse glasses to cloud your vision when thinking about what you should get. Do your research, know what you want, and then decide. I think Infinity Ward did a good job and I would like to thank them for their sweat and effort.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW - You can get weapon variants with Supply-drops, and you will be able to buy Supply-drops with real money, so there is a very disappointing "Pay to Win" like approach to the community here. Thank you very much Activision!

I only bought this cos the Legacy Edition was $25 on Amazon, and coupled with a $10 discount coupon on Prime Day and using my Chase rewards point, I basically got this for free. I really wanted to just play Modern Warfare but found out I gotta install Infinite Warfare to play MWR.

So I came into this game with ZERO expectations and oh boy was I taken on a wild, emotional ride! This is by far THE BEST CoD campaign since Modern Warfare. It introduced a lot new things in CoD that I appreciated. Space battles, simplified but fun. Being able to explore my base and having an office to view lore, audio and video logs and mission reports. Just being able to take a breather in between missions, to have in-game downtime, that was really amazing.

The writing and voice acting are superb! I connected with all the characters, especially after reading their personal bios. The cutscenes are the best I've seen in a CoD game, Naughty Dog levels of quality. The story as a whole gave me Battlestar Galactica/Band of Brothers/Mass Effect vibes and I was truly engaged from start to finish. Nick Reyes and Nora Salter had great chemistry and I really enjoyed playing Nick's role and feeling the burden of command.

The gunplay was solid and I actually got to know each gun and felt the difference between them. Most CoDs, I just get overwhelmed by the number and names of the guns but for some reason, Infinite Warfare made the guns more intimate to me. Truly, I felt like a soldier.

Overall, I had a blast playing the campaign. First class stuff. Just the right length, very tight experience. If I had known the quality of this game, I would not mind paying full price for it because not only did it have a superb campaign, I actually enjoyed the Zombies mode too!

Zombies mode's retro, campy feel coupled with a cool soundtrack made the experience a fun one. I only played Zombies solo but I find the challenge of survival and exploring the world for secrets while managing the zombie hordes so fun! Will definitely get the Season Pass when it goes on sale just to try the other Zombies maps (additional 4 DLC maps). I pIayed Zombies BLOPS3 when it was a freebie in June 2018 but I couldn't get into it. And BLOPS3 had the worst campaign (poor protagonist, bad voice actors, low quality cutscenes, confusing storyline, a tutorial that dragged too long) , I didn't finish it and gave me a bad taste so I uninstalled it.

I didn't have a chance to fully experience the multiplayer cos my PS+ sub just expired. Will only renew it if I can snag a 1-yr sub for $39.90 just like the previous 2 years. I don't really have high hopes however as I don't like CoD's fast time to kill (TTK) and frantic pace, and having to constantly look at the radar for enemies. I prefer Destiny's multiplayer PvP, but I might be surprised by IW. We'll see.

In summary, CoD Infinite Warfare and Infinity Ward have reignited my love for COD. Will definitely look forward to their next project. Hopefully, they will build on the ideas here and make their next campaign more revolutionary, like CoD 1&2.

Try it with an open mind, and judge it honestly for yourself. Semper fi.

I honestly believe this game is just getting hate because its Call of Duty. Everyone loves jumping on hate trains. I like many gamers am very critical of the games I play. I havent played a call of duty since modern warfare 3. I am by no means a COD fanboy.

First of all, the campaign is amazing! The quality of the voice acting, sound design, and cinematography make for a truly pleasant experience. And the story is good as well. They put a lot of well spent effort into this part of the game.

Secondly, the multiplayer is great once you get used to the maps and the maps are good except for a couple. My only complaints are that the shotguns are absolute **** and the options for secondary weapons are kind of meh. Except for the Oni thats amazing.

It really is a lot of fun and the rigs make for a lot of unique gameplay that honestly feels new. There is one ability where you can literally phase into another dimension and avoid damage. Like thats cool.

Dont listen to the hate. Try the game out for yourself before you bash it.

    Saludos.

So, another year, another CoD. I'm just going to be straight here, this is Infinity Ward's version of Black Ops 3. (This review is purely multiplayer, and CoD4 isn't here). The hit detection and servers feel infinitely better (pun intended),and it's just what Black Ops 3 should've been. I don't have to dump an entire mag into somebody to get one less hit than required to kill, and that's my biggest concern in a shooter, nailed straight on the head. I just hope IW doesn't go completely pay2win. Expand

Here's the deal. COD IW is not a bad game. But the competition is providing a better product with similar gameplay but with two major differences.
    - Much better level design/MP pace.
    - No microtrasanctions or pay to win. Having wasted $60 to buy this game, I'm now left a bit disappointed as I think I would rather wait for price drops or invested in other games. Let me put it this way.

Let me put it this way. This is not the best COD title this year. Titanfall 2 is. (although it is not called COD)

First of all, I'd like to say that I thought IW won't be a good game. But after playing it I can surely say that this is one of my best FPS EXPERIENCE ever. All the features all great and fast paced. The Idea of space game play is awesome.

I like the way u can travel every part of the solar system. As per the graphics...they are good for 2016 at least. Beginning to end, the game will keep you in it.
The zombies, it does a good job too. The classic ground combat is likeable. They do keep up with the zombies mode designed by treyarch. The game play is not bad.
Multi player, it is a great but still the same experience. It would be awesome if space combat was as good as campaign but still it does keep up.
Overall, cod IW has one of the finest fps experience and also does good with zombies and multiplayer too.

Now this was a game that I loved. I haven't been following the Call of Duty franchise as closely as other people but I have to say this game blew me away. The graphics looked amazing and the voice acting was on point. Controls were kinda the standard for FPS games and I like that. I don't want to be retrained on how to play a game if I don't have to. And then there's space battle. Coming off of Battlefield One's attempt at flight, this was exactly like what I wanted. Flight was not overly complex and gave me just enough to enjoy. Not to mention there are side quests...I just enjoyed this game too much. Are there issues? Of course there are, no one is perfect. But is it worth 59.99? Heck yeah it is!

Although Infinite Warfare seems to be a Black Ops 3 expansion at first sight, once you get involved into the game and get deeper, you realized that Infinity Ward has reached a new level of gameplay for the series. IW is not a revolution in COD series, but at the end a very solid FPS game. Maybe its biggest mistake is being released in a complicated moment for the franchise, with tons of players asking about returning to the roots of COD4.

As a whole package, all the praise should be going toward the single player experience, and I'd never thought I'd say that about a Call of Duty game in a long time. But in all honestly, it’s true. As for the multiplayer, it makes for an incredibly mundane and subpar experience that almost parodies itself. Completely making it very difficult to recommend the game as a whole.

Good old Infinity Ward is back and not just with Modern Warfare Remastered! The single player campaign (the best in years!) alone is enough to give Infinite Warfare a chance. Just like with Doom and Titanfall 2 I expected nothing from the game and was shocked with how good it turned out to be. [13/2016, p.34]

The action is so fast, and the time to kill so low, that anyone outside of the hardcore COD audience is in for a rough ride. [Jan 2017, p.110]
