Multiplayer: Lightning Fast, Smooth gameplay with a lot of variation, base multiplayer maps are for the most part great, but, some of the quality of the DLC maps is Questionable. Hit-Detection/Shots Registering is not an issue on this game, despite what a lot of people claim.

Zombies: A very wild, piss-poor story driven experience, saved only by one or two maps out of the 5.
Rave in the Redwoods is a great, fun map with a few funny, yet annoying issues.. but definitely a positive experience. The other being the base map, Zombies in Spaceland.. Not the easiest of maps to get your head around, with a tough Easter Egg and Incredibly tough boss-fight, this map will be a challenge for the biggest Zombies enthusiast.

I am generally a big fan of all of the COD games, but this one is by far and away the worst of the bunch The story line is incredibly weak, the game play it self is not much better, the graphics are middle of the road at best and for the first time i have ever seen on my PS4, the game skips stalls and barely plays. It's like you are trying to play it on a pc with nowhere near enough ram. Here's the main thing with call of duty: The community sucks balls and the game has a very bad reputation. I loved to play MW1 and MW2. This was also the main reason why I bought the MW1/Infinite warfare bundle for about 29€.

I didn't expect a lot, but I really had fun playing the campaign. The story is the typical hero story full of stereotypes and patriotism, but nevertheless, it delivered. A lot of weapons, upgrades and even sidemissions - all in 60fps.

So after the campaign I tried the multiplayer and guess what: it was also fun. Actually, it still is a lot of fun. Its a really solid shooter and I don't get the hate. You can hate the company for releasing a very similar game every year, but its still solid. My personal highlight of the game is the Zombie mode, where you fight off hordes of zombies like in Left 4 Dead. I even purchased the season pass to get the additional 4 Zombie maps.

Finally, it can be said, that the game is, in its core, still a COD game. i'd give it a 7,5 because after weeks, I'm still hooked. My advice: if you like fast paced shooters and its about 30 bucks, get it. You won't regret it.

The space flight missions were kind of exciting, partly because it was an unexpected variety in the game, but everything else about the game felt like one long-winded shooting-gallery with minimal concern for how to make it fun or interesting to play. Now a while after playing it, I remember some cool fights against mechs. But mostly it was corridor shooter gameplay.

There's a story somewhere in there too, but I barely noticed it.

The multiplayer disappointed me greatly. I just didn't have much fun playing it. Maybe the players were too skilled or something. The zombie mode had a totally different presentation than main game. The coop gameplay worked well. But after a few long rounds, I figured that was a sufficient test and I did not return to play it.

Looking back on my least favorite Cod game, I realize that it wasn't all bad. I actually liked the single player campaign and I have fond memories of it. The multiplayer is where I had problems. It felt like they didn't even try with the maps and I was bored of the gameplay after a couple hours. It didn't really have that call of duty feeling. Overall I would give it a 6.1.

The story is beyond vile, it's so terrible that it sucks you out of it, rather than into it. In other words, the story is terrible enough to disconnect you from it, and not feel immersed at all. The gameplay is also vile, it's unbearably disastrous, not only is it monotonous, the gunplay mechanics are atrocious, the cover system is terrible, and the level design isn't clear, and is very, very badly thought out. For me, multiplayer was a huge disappointment. The maps are much more dull than BO3 and the combat specialists are kind of lame. Play Black Ops 3 instead, a much better experience overall (although I will say the graphics are fantastic and loading speeds aren't as awful as BO3). Zombies in Spaceland was a good time. Disregard anyone giving a COD score below a 5. We get MW back, COD4, and it's almost as good as it was before, that gives the game an 8 without going further. Why isn't it as good as it was, because they blocked off some doors, nothing major, but nobody likes a door that is locked.

We also get two single player campaigns, and a new fresh zombies, and we get an additional multiplayer.

When comparing this to the impressive amount of fun and enjoyable shooters in 2016, this Call of Duty seems to really struggle to stand out among them, despite the fact that it has the biggest name in videogames right now plastered on it, which is why I will be comparing all the elements of this game to other games and talking about why this Infinite Warfare is worse. In terms of story, this game is hopelessly outmatched by the silly action movie fun of Titanfall 2. While Titanfall 2 uses its ridiculous premise to its advantage and tells a story that just wants to make the player have a good time, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare struggles with its own tonal consistency. For example, the game tries to portray the antagonists as in a gray area between good and evil, but instead of having a main villain that compliments these features, they just made a black and white simply evil villain. In terms of mechanics, DOOM crushes Infinite Warfare every time. Infinite Warfare made some interesting movement mechanics that could work if they were implemented well into the story and missions, but instead of doing that, the game doesn't really take advantage of them by using them to create unique level design layout, or do anything with them besides include them. DOOM, on the other hand, uses each of its mechanics to create the feeling of stomping through hell annihilating everything in your path. If the player was forced to stop every few seconds to hide behind cover it wouldn't feel like a rampage, and the game wouldn't have the same sense of power as it does by using the glory kills to keep the player constantly moving forward and smashing everything. Not to mention that in DOOM there are actual variety in environments and level layout, instead of in Infinite Warfare where only one mission does anything remotely interesting in terms of variety, and it's Operation: Dark Quarry. I like it because the enemies fight differently than all other enemies in the game. Instead of shooting from a distance, they constantly run at the player, which means that this mission involves learning how the enemies attack before getting good enough to effectively destroy them. The space combat in Infinite Warfare is fine, but gets stale quick and this is an issue because a lot of the game is spent in these ships. There is no reason to play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare because there are superior shooters from 2016, so I'm going to give this game a 3 out of 10. Expand

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare has to be one of my favorite CoD future games for these reasons.
Its not because is goes to space, its because of the unique story it brings, the stunning in game graphics. The zombie map though was a let down, but overall this game excels at the space-shooter genre in all ways!

The game plays really well, the levels look gorgeous, the voice acting is good and the space dogfighting is actually fun.

Far batter that Ops 3's goofy specialists, with tons more tactical technique. Very advanced, high res, more challenging than any prior COD I know of to date. On par with Ops 2, but in space. I wish EA focussed more on character development and story telling and dialogue to make this game really stand out from Battlefield 1 because BF1 stories were way too short and non really memorable.

There is very little to none backstory to the SDF enemy forces, including Kit H and Connor's character and it makes them very 2D and non memorable. KIT H's character sounds like a typical NAZI cookie cutter character. Also I don't feel attached to the main character Ryes.

I think the biggest let down was not taking full advantage of the wall running and sliding mechanics like Titanfall 2. The FPS shooting action does get a bit generic, but the air space combat is refreshing and also very fun similar to old Freelancer game on PC back in the 1990s.

    Music is great.

The zombies in spaceland is quite fun.

I cannot comment on multiplayer as I don't like COD MP in general.

It makes the story feel so generic and safe that it really goes to show you how much Activision refuse to try new ideas that are sorely needed in its series. The multiplayer I think is only slightly better than BO3's but it still goes through a terrible loot system and abilities that can be exploitative, not to mention the classes are lacking a sort of anonymity to them that just worked with the pre-Ghost games. The zombies is perhaps the strongest aspect of the game, but it gets strung with loot boxes that tie to your own resources in mp (screw off the guy who thought that was a okay idea) and still follows the one zombie map system that continues to happen without thought.

Despite my gripes, I actually still think it is worth saying the game is fun. It just keeps doing stupid business practices and ideas that hurt its potential. I don't want Call of Duty to die; I just want it to be worked on and tested for for years like Battlefield games and really put an effort in delivering great moments like its old days. The hate for this game is understandable, but to me personally it is better than Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3. Love it, hate it, Infinite Warfare is alright.

As for the online play.. Call of Duty will always be like this. We are past the days of World at War or Modern Warfare 2 and it's only going to add on. Yes, it's similar to BO3, yes nothing has changed but take it for what it is. Yes, the servers aren't perfect but what game is? Out of every 15-20 matches, I run into 1 or 2 networking issues.

Yes, people are hating and their claims are legitimate but for someone who has always enjoyed COD (on and off), I'm not disappointed. This might just be a wake up call for them try something new but that's 7-8 months down the road. Until then, have your fun with it.

FYI: I think people have just got a lot worse at COD though.. In objective based games, no one tries to win.. and in kill based games, no one tries to kill...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the worst Call of Duty game do date. Not only does the game's campaign and multiplayer mode feel bland, uninspired and unfinished, it is also far too similar to last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. While Black Ops 3 brought innovation to the series, Infinite Warfare feels more like a worse copy of the same game. The campaign's story feels like the average ''America is the hero''-style Call of Duty campaign and just feels like it was made by a lazy, uninspired, dated development studio.. The multiplayer blatantly copies the specialist system from Black Ops 3, the only change here is the name for the specialists and specialist weapon/ability in general have changed, the specialists now renamed to ''rigs'' and specialist abilities like Vision Pulse, Kinetic Armor and Glitch are now renamed to be Pulsar, Reactive Armor and Rewind respectively, whilst others haven't received ANY name changes at ALL like Combat Focus, Active Camo and Overdrive. All-in-all this multiplayer feels like an unfinished mess and the heavily pushed Supply Drop system, unfinished leaderboards, boring, ugly maps and combat record do not compliment this either. Similar to the multiplayer and campaign in being uninspired (and copying Black Ops 3 once more) is the zombies mode. Infinite Warfare's zombies mode might be the best thing in Infinite Warfare, but it's not great either.. The mode takes most of it's good characteristics from sister developer Treyarch's classic zombies mode like it's perk system, wave-based mode, boss rounds, starting room weaponry and traps, yet still feels unfinished and boring.. perhaps Infinity Ward should stray away from making zombies.. and Call of Duty games in general. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My issues with the COD series really started during MW2, I played Black Ops, then a bit of MW3 then stopped.

Here is the issues I have with this current "Adaption" on the series.
The campaign is pretty bland, they tried adding some "In game" extras that remind me alot of Starcraft 2 but they fell short. The audio is pretty horrendous. I had to hook up my head set just hear speeches by Kit Harrington because my surround sound just sounded like garbled junk.
The main villain which is portrayed by Kit, goes out like a **** No big boss fight, just basically a cut scene where you mess him up with a robot. And turns out his death meant almost nothing. Vs Kevin Spacey where I actually had mixed emotions over killing the guy in the previous title (Which I just played the campaign).

Now here is the issues I have with Mulitplayer.
The maps are small, extremely small, you will constantly be spawn killed no matter you play other than Search and Destroy. Again this is an issue dating back to MW2, sniping in this game is garbage, but it's even WORSE than previous titles. It seems every gun is laser accurate at any distance, making sniping utterly worthless. And again the maps are small so there is very little opportunity to make the sniper class work.

If you love running and gunning mindlessly then you will LOVE this game, equip an assault rifle, and have at it.

All and all if you want a really fun game I'd recommend Battlefield 1 over this game ANY TIME.

The graphics in the game are freaking amazing and they are going to get even better I hope. Even though there are a lot of things that I do like there are quite some other things that I don’t like about the game. I will tell you about them in this review.

I think that the graphics for the game are a lot better than the previous games. The community is very fun and people tend to get along most of the time. I do like the fact that they are adding more guns and new melee weapons. It just adds more into the game and a lot more fun. I like the fact that all of the Call of Duty games have added different game modes into the game but the thing I like the mode is that they add specialty game modes during the weekends. They do limit the party limit to six players per team.

I don’t like how the game is a pay to win game and the fact that you have to get the special stuff from the supply drops is kinda crap. I don’t like how people have to pay to get better stuff than other people. Another thing is that they don’t have too many characters to choose from. Otherwise known as specialist characters will different abilities and rank ups. It is a rated M game and that might affect the amount of people who play the game and the maturity of the players who do play.

The core gameplay, level design, and AI is also great making it one of the most fun Call of Duty campaigns I've played in a long time. From the fluid movement system as a soldier to flying a jackal in space, this campaign has it all. The multiplayer is decent. Its basically Black Ops 3 multiplayer, which I wasn't a big fan of because of the boost jumping and wall running. Also its pay to win because of supply drops which I don't appreciate. The new zombies mode is pretty cool, but doesn't compare to Treyarch zombies. I played it for a bit and had fun but can't see myself continuing to play it like Treyarch zombies. All around, its a good Call of Duty game. The multiplayer and zombies are decent, but its really in the campaign where it shines. The campaign is easily one of my favourites. I really feel bad for Infinity Ward, they crafted a really beautiful campaign that most people probably won't ever end up playing. The space theme is good. The zombies is stupid and serious enough to enjoy but ignore that and its a pretty good zombies experience. The Campaign is now one of the best Call of Duty campaigns. Like others here, I am absolutely disgusted by this game. What makes it worse is that if done correctly, it could have been great fun. But two things let it down badly, and are completely unacceptable.

Firstly - lag. You know the story, you see the enemy first, shoot them, your shots don't register and suddenly you're dead. When you watch the killcam it tells a different story entirely - they see you and shoot you while you run past them obliviously.

This could be fixed by having regional server selection. On Titanfall I am able to get 20ms ping, and never feel cheated. Whereas in COD all we get is a bar indicator. Further research shows that for a 5 bar rating all you need is less than 120ms. 120ms!! What are they thinking?

I've been killed so many times when I'm behind cover, or when I've shot first. Some games there's almost nothing I can do as the enemy don't seem to take any damage. It's just awful and makes me want to stop playing.

The second deal breaker is pay to win. All of the good guns cost about 7000 salvage to get to. You can get lucky and unlock them in a supply drop, however I'm prestige 4 and have only had one epic gun this way. It's down to luck, and to make it worse, you get duplicates. So even once you've unlocked a gun you might get it another 10 times.

When you get a duplicate it turns into salvage, so you can put it towards the gun you want. The problem with this - an epic gun costs 6700 salvage, as you have to buy the lower tier guns to get access to it. And salvage takes so long to earn that it literally takes weeks to get one epic gun. I'd have to give up my day job to play COD full time for years to unlock all the weapons.

And to make it even worse, they've just added in a new category of guns, mk2 variants. They're exactly the same as the other guns but give you 15% more xp. Big whoop. The problem is that you can't unlock these with salvage, it's all down to luck.

However, if you're an idiot, you can spend money on COD points. Some people spend 100s of pounds/dollars etc on these packs, and they are the people responsible for this crap. If nobody bought these packs we wouldn't be in this situation. And it's only going to get worse. These things creep in, and once here, they're here to stay.

The game is pure trash, which is a shame as when it plays well it's great fun. But that's rare, and due to these two game breaking issues, I am forced to give it a zero rating. Avoid like the plague, don't support this crap.

The story was alright except we never find out why the enemy is trying to take over earth. I was waiting to hear their reasons but was never told. That annoyed me. Also character getting killed didn't effect me in anyway since we never really got invested in them and their deaths just came out of no where.

The jet sections seem like they would be fun but it was hard to evade anything which end up making it annoying to have to do.

Multiplayer still has that issue of only being good for run 'n gunners. It was not good for anyone with any other types of play styles.

Zombie mode......It was interesting with the 80s theme but it's still the same. Keeps going long and gets boring after a while with others yell at you trying to get the high score.

Overall it was best to rent then buy. I heard some saying it's just like BO3 but I didn't play that. I was not able to try MW remastered and I doubt they will release it separately.

Truthfully, TF2 is just a better game all around, both in campaign and MP. BF1 is a better games as well, but comparisons here really aren't fair due to completely different settings and overall style of game.

Still, though, I'm enjoying IW for what it is.....a clean, fast paced, polished shooter that's easy to pop in and out of my console b/w longer gaming sessions.

    Campaign:

    +Space combat is quite fun.
    +Hacking bots is fun.
=Story is a bit bland. Although it had some great moments.
=Aerial combat is fun but can get repetitive.
-Levels are a bit too choreographed, but that is how Call of Duty games are. This can be good I guess because it flows like a continuous playable movie.

Multiplayer was initially broken with game breaking lag and very quick time to kill. Now after putting a good few days into the MP and learning the maps, weapons, perks and traits I have changed my opinion. The lag seems to have improved with the many patch updates, that's not to say its gone but I feel I'm having far more decent games now and fair gun fights. The dev team are supporting the game relatively well and are on top of improvements and patches. They removed two maps to fix them which took longer than expected with Grounded still not making an apperance at the time of writing, but Genesis is back with the bugs fixed, which shows me they actually care about the game.

So how is it playing now compared to release? Much better. I'm finding the games to be very fun, skilled, fast paced and enjoyable. It is very addictive and one of the better futuristic cods. Much better than Blops 2, Blops 3, AW and Ghosts. I'd say its on par with MW3.

The new movement (once used to it) works very well. All weapons can do a good amount of damage and you can play well with them. Some of the maps are excellent such as Frost, Precinct, Genesis, Mayday and Frontier and play well on nearly all game modes. The larger maps however only tend to work with objective based gameplay and can slow the pace of the game right down.

There are some really decent weapons that feel good to use. Most weapons in the game are more than usable including sniper rifles. Shotguns need a bit of a boost and you still get hitmarkers and short range meaning they don't tend to play a role in the game.

Scorestreaks are too high. Getting the larger ones seems an impossible task considering spawns flip too easily meaning you get shot in the back a lot. If you run care package then you do get to ise the higher ones now and then but most games the highest scorestreak you see is the warden and then any below it. The warden is a bit of a pain and really I think the game would be better off without it. Lots of people run hardline rendering perk 2 slot useless as you really need it to achieve scorestreaks. The nuke is impossible, never seen one and the youtubers who've got them seem to be playing against the braindead (or their friends who just so happen to not be able to kill them). A pointless streak unless you are a booster.

Micro-transactions come in the form of supply drops. You can unlock them with keys instead of paying. You also get salvage which takes a long time to build up. Supply drops are way overpriced, and considering you have no idea if you are going to get that legendary you really want are not worth the money.

Despite its hang ups, IW is shaping up to be a really fun addictive game. The graphics are nice and colorful and bold. Multiplayer is the best we've seen since MW3 and I actually enjoy playing this COD. By no means better than MW2 (the best cod imo) but way better than the modern CODs.

It comes packaged with COD4 remaster, but it's aged badly and is no fun anymore, I've totally ignored it.

So if you want a fun MP experience with sharp addictive gameplay give it a go.

As a whole package, all the praise should be going toward the single player experience, and I'd never thought I'd say that about a Call of Duty game in a long time. But in all honestly, it’s true. As for the multiplayer, it makes for an incredibly mundane and subpar experience that almost parodies itself. Completely making it very difficult to recommend the game as a whole.
