    Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the latest addition to the COD series. After in depth gameplay the only thing that has been enjoyable is the Zombies. Various glitches have been found and that's normal for a unfinished game to be put out. The Graphics are sub-par almost cartoonist even cheap. The moments and overall gameplay is reminiscent of 2008 shooters. This entry to the series is aCall of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the latest addition to the COD series.     Activision should have never rushed this game out. This is embarrassing. The campaign and zombies is good, so I give a point for that but multiplayer is a joke. Worst CoD multiplayer I’ve played. Skill based matchmaking needs to go to. Just make a ranked and casual mode.

    Plays like a game from 10 years ago, feels stiff and floaty at the same time. Animation are absolute hot garbage and stiff. Graphics and visual look like call of duty black ops 2. Such a terrible disappointment trying to ride the wake of modern warfare when is a superior game.

The Black Ops Series was ever not Good like BO3, 4 and now CW. I change back to MW now bcs MW are the best series. How can i be so bad i have Pre purchased that "Game" Every lobby is the same.     This game hardly runs on ps5. Multiplayer is garbage, campaign is boring, zombies crashes and drops to 15 FPS on the NEW PS5! I’ve had enough of this dev. They are lazy, and Sony should do something about it.

    This game is literally unplayable with friends, crossplay or not. The chat audio is terrible and most of the time you just cannot hear one person in the party. My friends and I have tried more than 10 times in the last hour to play zombies together and have never been able to start without one person getting kicked. This game is terrible

    For starters THE SPAWNS ARE HORRIBLE
    Secondly the ps4 version graphics are remarkably disgusting The movement is horrible(clunky, slow)
    Campers are annoying(like normal)
    Health is garbage. If you get into one gunfight and have another immediately after, go ahead and chalk that up as a loss. Lastly leveling up takes and eternity even while playing on 2XP

    No split screen for Zombies? Especially after the Spec ops debacle with MW? Remember how they promised split screen, BEFORE LAUNCH, and we still have yet to get it a year later? Activision and Treyarch don't care whatsoever for their customers, as their actions show that all they see us as are walking bank deposits.

I download it and was ready to play and honestly I wasn’t expecting a whole lot but my gosh. This is easily one of the worst games I’ve ever played not just call of duty but ever they story is short but honestly not that bad, I haven’t played Zombies but it doesn’t look that great and then there’s the multiplayer, like who at treyarch thought this was a good idea, the guns are all bland and players blend in like in the middle of a street and I can’t tell where or what’s shooting me, the sniping is probably the worst out of any call of duty ever made, the footsteps are so loud as well I can hear my team mate scratching his nuts across the whole map and then the maps who tf designed these things Helen Keller they are so **** bad and of course no ranked playlist and then for the grand finale Skill base match making, like who came up with this like I don’t understand why you would do this, my first game I go 31-6 not too bad I was level 1 and I was facing lvl 40 out the gate but after I was like ok then not so bad, the very next game I get a clan of 6 who have all prestiged and the whole game they were making call outs and screaming at each other and like who in their right **** mind would do this, idc what anyone says this game is maybe slightly above infinite warfare maybe and after this cod I’m never no matter what buying another already asked for my refund after about 5 hours of playing, ass game made by a ass company gg activision… Expand

    DO NOT BUY !! 2019’s cod MW is far superior in every way. Get it instead. Cold war feels like a bad arcade shooter, the maps suck weapon damage sucks graphics are terrible. After taking 10 year break from cod (because they all started to be the same) I was super excited when 2019’s cod came out and it was a true return to form albeit with a few changes coldwar fails in every way !

The third level in the campaign had a game-breaking bug that would disconnect all of my controllers if connected via bluetooth (this required a hard restart to fix). The campaign had a mostly interesting story but didn't really take off until the second to last mission.     Overall this year's COD feels like a regression from 2019's Cod Modern Warfare and may be an example of game makers unable to maintain QC during wfh and the global pandemic.    … Expand

    This is actually retarted that Cronus Max is going unpunished on consoles I get put in a lobby of all aim botters just because I’m good at the game the aim assist is even broken on launch making only people with Cronus being able to aim consistently this is a **** disaster of a game.     The game has 8 maps at lunch....8 maps from a multimillion dollar company.

    Skill based match making means if you have friends who are worse than you then they will want to play with you because they will be destroyed.

    The campaign is 3 hours long.

    Do yourself a favor, keep playing Modern Warfare

MP is completely unfinished and what is there is so low effort it’s laughable. I could stomach only 29 weapons, but the unlock rate is so ungodly slow people will only ever spend such an atrocious amount of time on a good gun (MP5). Campaign is a complete copy of Black Ops 1, story structure and all, with the only replay ability being found in about 2-3 missions. Overall, this game needed another year,, and I will come back in a couple months in the vain hope the game will be in a playable state.… Expand

    SBMM makes this game unplayable. often match me with noobs, Noobs will always go negative and I end up losing matches. also because of SBMM, the game takes a long time searching for lobbies, which are usually against COD professional sweats.

    Everything from the sounds to the graphics to the gun feel seems out of date. The maps have very little variety and are basically 2 dimensional with very little verticality. There are also too many choke points where advancing lanes can be almost completely shut down. Modes like domination can be decided at the beginning of the match. Not polished at all. I feel like I completely wasted my money.

It’s gun-play and balancing, are a joke, and would be an insult to good games to even call it sub-par. Shotguns are a joke, the game is riddled with bugs. It runs as if it were deliberately designed to run at 5 frames a second. In overall, the game feels like a massive step backwards for the call of duty franchise.     Gave them a 1 for pandemic development issues but holy crap is this game garbage. Remove SMBB ad ranked play, quit catering to crap player. Literally can't jump on and play casually anymore it's ALWAYS a MLG tourny and I get burnt out after one game that is if I don't lag out.

    Quite frankly it sucks, the graphics look like they were designed by a small child, the content is lacking, all they care about is pumping out new skins, Zombies is the only saving grace but with only one proper Zombies map that doesn't even cut it, save your money, I'm avoiding the next black ops.

    Campaign is kinda good. But SBMM ruined the multiplayer.. It's taking all the fun out of the game. Ur working 9-5 the only thing u want to do after a hard day of work if u got time for playing, Is to get some relaxed matches. But every match is sweaty like hell.. Remove SBMM and add a ranked playlist

    The campaign is ok, but it is basically more if the same with no real improvements except for slightly better graphics. But this isn't the reason why people buy CoD ... The Multiplayer feels like a giant step back. It does not feel good to play and has a lot of technical issues. But at least we still have micro transactions *pub*
    This is the last CoD game for me switching back to Battlefield ;)

    This is by far the worst game I've purchased in years, as it is laggy, has many bugs, has mic problems, and it's graphical quality is extremely low. I would avoid this game and buy anything, and I mean anything else. If you're looking for a cross platform multiplayer like I was then go with Modern Warfare, it isn't great itself, but it blows this utter piece of trash out of the water.

Player speed and time to kill waaaaayyyy too high, allowing smgs to absolutely dominate the game. Movement feels buggy and off. You run and screen makes it feel like a weird gallop. God I miss the old days when it was a straight up gunfight, best aim wins. Now it’s whoever has better head glitch and holds angles better. How to fix the game: Scrap it, refund everyone and say we’ll try again next year. But seriously: Lower time to kill by 15% Lower player speed by 15% Make better maps (cough cough mw2 esque)

    Visuals and audio are a step back from modern warfare. It looks like crap and the audio is garbage. Controls are clunky at best. And the servers CONSTANTLY have issues. Overall I regret my purchase of this game.

    The game lags and crashes at every opportunity it sees. The giant updates are very obnoxious and are unfortunately very frequent.

    Awful gameplay after MW. Hit detection is awful and 'invisible rounded off corners' are rampant. Verticality is really not intuitive with the map design not having a consistent indicator for clickable surfaces.

    Player models are really hard to detect and the colour palette is just noise.

    Really disappointed with this entry.

    The map design of Black ops: Cold War is terrible. The only good maps are the maps from previous Call of Duty games (Most of Black ops 2).
    Maps like Miami, Garrison, Crossroads, The Pines. They are some of the worst originals that the game has. It has too many places to hide, to camp, or the map design for rushing is horrible.

    The optimization of the game is horrible ON ALL PLATFORMS.
    On PC you always have to download the shaders that even though they weigh little, they take light years to download.

    In addition to sudden lag, textures take a long time to load or don't load at all.

    Problems that also occur in the Console versions (Playstation and Xbox).

    The game has horrible animations, movements that seem more robotic than human and that in addition much do not make sense, as would be the majority of animations of impeccion of weapons (Impeccate the Magnum of 12 bullets but that the model of the weapon continues having 6).

    This game was not made with love, is poorly optimized, and has a lousy balancing. Very badly polished.

    This game should not even jokingly cost $59.99. It is overpriced for an incomplete and poorly polished game.

    This review as I said was more about Multiplayer and talking about the campaign, honestly it's a very good campaign, it's not exactly as it was sold (Decisions that will change the ending).
    But it was not lousy, a very good campaign that is accompanied by an excellent soundtrack.

    Speaking of zombies, it's very... Mediocre to decent, the game has such a weird HUD for a zombie mode that it looks more like a mini-game of Warzone than a zombie characteristic of the saga. And the game is almost too easy but if it becomes not difficult, but unfair (Zombies that respawn out of nowhere in the face blocking the passage, zombies that have too much range to hit the player) and also the maps are disappointing, they are just recycled from other maps or are taken directly from the campaign.

    The zombies have a 4.5/10.

    The game is not recommended at all, if so. Just had the price it deserves ($10 lmao) it would be worth something.

Every single gun feels the same, the campaign is almost identical to the first Black Ops with an anticlimactic ending and it is literally the first CoD to make me despise every second of the multiplayer. It feels like a mobile game. Definitely don't buy this if you want to remember the black ops series in a good light.

The game doesn't give a **** about whether or not the game as playable, so long as it's sweaty as **** Which results in people teleporting around the map, suddenly popping into existence in front of you (and you instantly being dead because they've been shooting at you for a solid 5 seconds before they 'decloaked') and a plethora of really ****ty latency based issues. But does Treyarch give a **** No, **** us, they want us to play the glitchiest, ****tiest matches possible because they, as a studio, hate the **** out of their player base.

    Skill Based Matchmaking has the unfortunate side effect of making the only interesting part of Cold War unplayable. It would be great if just once, JUST **** ONCE, I could complete a multiplayer zombies match without the lobby, the host, or myself simply lagging the **** out and either CTD or CTM.

    The Campaign; Like raw sewage and kale mixed in a blender with exactly two scoops of cake flavored protein mix. It would be preferable to simply microwave week old garbage and insert it into your rectum.

    The Graphics; **** And not just **** but BROKEN **** I've never had to 'recompile' **** shaders so much in my entire **** life. Game gets a patch, and suddenly I have giant walls springing into existence around me with no rhyme or reason. I can't see through them, but they only exist for me. It's like if I'd been dropped into Afganistan with an M-16 high as **** on a mixture of ketamine and military grade LSD. You're not sure whats going on, but the god damn ground is 100% trying to eat you.
    The only way to make these helucinatory walls disappear? Recompile the Shaders. But Guess What?! THAT ONLY WORKS SOME OF THE TIME, HAHAHA!

    I hate this game, I will absolutely never buy another **** Treyarch game so long as I **** live.

    Campaign is decent, until you get disconnected, or your console hard resets in the middle of a mission.

    Zombies is decent, when you don't get disconnected, and the lag is here too, although not as gamebreaking as MP.
    Just too many problems for a AAAtitle. Don't waste ypur money.

    Also, NO split screen for couch coop. You can do this for Black Ops3 but not for next gen PS5. Absolute joke as the rest of the gameplay is just a copy and paste.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ends up mirroring what the Call of Duty franchise offered last year, with some new additions that are also welcome, especially for long-term fans. While being set during a very intense period, the campaign ends up erring for its disappointing longevity, even though the value of repetition is intrinsic to it. Zombies are back in style, while multiplayer gains an excellent new mode, but here it errs again for the arsenal's lack of variety.

    While Cold War is a part of a series I would have said that I loved, I can’t fully embrace it now knowing that this work is trucking in harmful stereotypes via patriotic-tinged gameplay. A decent CoD multiplayer experience will likely emerge from the currently-underwhelming Cold War, but I’m going to seriously consider whether that gameplay is worth enduring (and supporting) the rest.
