This the best dlc by far this year with hearts of stone a long long way behind. Integrates well with the core game and it doesn't feel like dlc at all. Interesting environments, challenging enemies, epic music, best boss fights in years and more awaits you hunters!!!!!!!

The Old Hunters feels "right." It adds some fantastic enemies to the game, both boss and non-boss, along with some great new items and characters. If you enjoyed the main game, this DLC is a no-brainer. Now if I could just defeat that last boss...

This DLC blew me away. The new boss fights are very memorable and challenging, the new areas feel very original and add new colours to this adventure, the weapons are innovative and the lore has gotten me so much more interested. This is how you master a DLC, even though I finished it, I can't wait to explore more of anything like this.

Very few companies are still ethical with their content like From Software that shows us an unforgettable adventure and as gamers, we should express our appreciation and get more companies to follow suit. If you look at how I review games, you will see that The Old Hunters has earned the 10. Let's Play!

Greatest DLC content. Probably in the same league as the Witcher 3 DLCs in quality, but not in length.

Most people had trouble with Orphan but I had most trouble with Laur___. 4 of the 5 bosses were extremely memorable in their own way, and while the size of the content limits the level design creativity, it still offered many little secrets and rewards.

The DLC further consolidates my belief of Bloodborne being the best PS4 exclusive pre-2017.

I love Dark/Demons/Bloodborne, so I don't mind dying (of course) a lot, there are a few moments that feel unfair, and a couple of enemies with especially annoying attack patterns but aside from that, this DLC is fantastic, more of the same excellence. FROM are just killer game makers, I think they may be the best in the world right now.

I got into this game few years late and is regret not playing this at launch.

Everything you want in an action RPG is superbly represented in this game.
And if you think casual gamers would not like it because of the difficulty, they even catered to them by allowing you to summon up to 2 person to help you with boss fight.

The best DLC I've ever played. Laurence is a pain to fight, but other than that, I cannot find any faults with this DLC.

Bloodborne is awesome, this DLC is event better. Great and hardest boss fights (except chalices), new locations at highest design level and much more like equipment, tools, events etc.

10 out of 10, one of the best games ever created FROM software! This DLC is more than enough and in my opinion is a damn MASTERPIECE! Bosses, enemies, weapons, build diversity-more runes, insane artistic HP lovecraft's style, the lore are top notch! This is truly worth it and again in my opinion FROM created a MASTERPIECE :)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a fantastic addition to my Game of the Year. The Old Hunters adds three huge areas, five bosses, armor sets, and sixteen new weapons (eleven right hand, five left hand) for twenty bucks. It's a steal, hunters.

It's more Bloodborne really, except darker, more twisted, and more difficult. I ran my level 260 through, on NG++, and had a helluva time. It's certainly less forgiving than anything in the vanilla game. Three of the five new boss fights are some of the best in the game, and all three of the new areas, even the opening, reskinned Hunter's Nightmare, are iconic and memorable, both visually and aurally.

The weapons are badass. One knock against the vanilla game was the lack of variety in builds. The Old Hunters remedies that through the addition of the new weapons, but especially to Bloodtinge and Arcane builds. Most of the new weapons have unique movesets and are just plain fun to use, like the Whirligig Saw and the Bloodletter. Also, The Old Hunters adds three new Hunter's Tools to bolster Arcane builds.

The Old Hunters is great and exceedingly difficult. I got about fourteen hours out of it on one character, but I'll be running all my characters through it. It's so fun and the weapons are so awesome and I can't wait to go through it again.

Adds alot of great content to an already great game. It's challanging, beautiful and ultimately has a more horrifying art design than recent horror games. Sure, From Software doesn't make perfect games, but they focus on what matters most: Pure enjoyable gameplay. Bloodborne is my personal GotY 2015

I knew, they've done right things with DLC, when the very first enemy killed me. I've never felt such a rush while playing Bloodborne before. Boss fight are incredible! Laurence took me 3hrs to beat! I was playing on the New Game 4+ and it's wonderfully hard. haven't finished it yet and already clocked 10+ hrs. Now this is how you make superb DLC! Thanks, From Software.

This is what DLC should be, not costumes and other trash, but actual gameplay. This is much more linear than the main game of bloodborne but it plays perfect homage to the main game with locations that you will recognise with a host of new enemies with bosses that will test your limits.

Some of the best gothic horror visuals I have ever seen and heard. New and fun weapons and an increase in difficulty that is the cherry on top of an already fantastic game!

I originally had rated this game as a 10. Then I finished the DLC and looked at the wikis. I apparently have to perform multiple loads and reloads of areas to get NPC story lines to trigger. This is completely unacceptable. I understand coming back and reloading once....but multiple times? I spent hours running through the DLC trying on different outfits etc. But what I didn't do was run through the DLC twice or thrice because that just doesn't make sense. Utter horsecrap.....

    Dear FROM,

I don't want to have to look at wikis to figure out your game. I had this game re-reviewed at at 0. I have since changed my mind. This DLC is that good. You can totally screw the player over by making a virtually non sensible story line path and I will still give it a perfect rating....nicely done.

There a lot of new weapons and some of them are really useful and cool to use. I was a big ludwig blade user in the vanilla game but I found myself leaving that behind and try the new weapons.I instantly fell in love with the Whirligig Saw. The DLC is is full of blood stone chuncks so you don't have to worry about farming them to upgrade your new weapons.
During my play-trough I came across 5 bosses and 3 of them took me very long time to beat. They all feel unique and you have to adept to beat them. The soundtracks during the fights were absolutely amazing.
Overall I feel this is one of the best DLC I have ever purchased and played. Bloodborne fans will love this

Enemies are very, very unforgiving, you will frequently encounter Blood Drunk Hunters through-out the DLC and they will hand you your a** if you are not equipped or experienced enough to deal with them.
There are some environments from the first game which are clearly re-used, but the way they are incorporated into the game is perfect.
The DLC has a couple of excellent clothing sets, plenty of new weapons, a new (and helpful) Covenant, which has links to the maingame, and 5 thoroughly (1 hidden, 4 compulsory) awesome bosses, including probably my favourite SoulsBourne boss, Lady Maria, of the Astral Clocktower.
I case you can't tell already I loved this DLC and its an excellent add-on to the main game, both in gameplay and lore.
If you haven't played through this and enjoyed the main game you owe it to yourself to take on The Old Hunters at least once

They did it again. TOH is difficult, beautiful, and engrossing-- just like the main game. Those of you who play the souls games understand that words don't really express how great these experiences are. There's nothing like it and The Old Hunters is no different.
