Three great FPS games from the PS3/Xbox 360 generation ported onto PS4. The art style in all of these games is definitely the most memorable part of these games. The weapons are pretty cool, though there could be more of them. The plasmids are quite cool as well and there are plenty of them.

I don't feel like I could give this game collection any higher than a 7, however. Simply because

I don't feel like I could give this game collection any higher than a 7, however. Simply because there's no reason to buy this if you've ever owned the original ps3/360 version and because there aren't any proper boss battles in all three of the Bioshock games. Big daddies don't count.

However, for a pure FPS experience on PS4 that's worth replaying, i'd recommend either this collection or Metro: 2033 Redux. Especially if you've never played any of these games.

    JUGABILIDAD:

Expand

The gameplay was very enjoyable, with an array of weapons and vigors to choose from. The atmosphere and environments were very eerie and unique compared to many FPS games.

The third game seemed to throw most of this out the window. The game takes you from the bottom of the ocean to high up in the sky. That's not a problem. What is a problem is that's not all that has changed. You can only carry two guns and vigors at a time, gameplay is painfully linear and again I spent a few hours trudging through it wondering exactly what the hell was going on before giving up, whereas the first two games had enough enjoyable elements for me to see them through to the end.

You can see why these games made quite the impact back in their day, but in today's world they are quite dated. Many of the mechanics are irritating to use. Mysteriously the third game lacks a map whilst the first two did not. Furthermore, the text in the third game is ridiculously small, making simple tutorials blindingly hard.

Honestly, I don't recommend these titles unless you're stuck for something to play or are very curiously as to what the hype was all about like myself. So many games have been remastered for the PS4 and Bioshock is among the growing number that should really have been left in the archives.

I spent years wanting to play this game, but I found it totally frustrating. That's because they didn't even translate the game into Portuguese, that is, I play a game but without understanding what is happening. Not to mention that the lack of translation makes the game more difficult. I thought it was absurd that they didn't translate for us (Brazilians).

Play the originals on PC if you want a HD version of Bioshock, or just enjoy the console originals on last-gen. Voice recordings have been messed up, sound effects and ambient music have been compressed to lack reverb. This leads to a flat, less atmospheric "remaster" that fixes what nobody asks for at the expense of what everybody lauded; and if you don't believe me, just watch the side-by-sides by Digital Foundry (beware spoilers). Do yourself a favor - if you've never played these but are planning to, do NOT play them like this. Expand

A not engaging story meets a dumb gameplay. At least each game is short, so the waste of time ends quickly.

Special mention to the machine pirating mechanics, where some of the pannels are just impossible to do. Not difficult, just mathematically impossible. So you have to keep trying until a new, do-able pannel appears, consumming your time with this nonsense.

Because of the problem with saving in BioShock 2, I gotta give this collection on PlayStation 4, 1 score. It ruined everything, because I went pretty far and when I decided to quit, there was not enough room to save which is total ****

I'm giving this 0/10, because they've chosen to block streaming of the entire collection and not even elected to explain why. Don't support this kind of rubbish from publishers.

Bioshick Infinite has received absolutely no upgrades from last gens version, and the two other Bioshocks have marginal upgrades at best. Pass on this, it's terrible value.

A modern masterpiece flanked by an okay sequel and a round-off that still delights. This isn’t the Big Daddy of PS3 trilogies, but it’s a circus of value. [December 2016, p83]

Despite there being no real improvements or enhancements to any of these games, it is hard to deny the quality of these three games. The BioShock franchise consists of three of the best games we have seen in the past decade and these are the best versions you can get of them. There isn't much in new content but the base content of this collection alone is an incredible value.
