Both Bayonetta and Vanquish were amongst the first games released by PlatinumGames, and they both show just how strong the studio was from the get-go. These remasters open up the opportunity for newcomers to the studio, whether from Nier: Automata or Astral Chain, to check out the studio’s origins on modern hardware.

You can't really go wrong with this collection. You get two fantastic games that still hold up today at a fantastic price. If you are a fan of Platinum Games now, you owe it to yourself to check out these older titles. The only shame is that Bayonetta 2 is a Nintendo exclusive and Vanquish never got the sequel it deserved.

As a collection, or individually, Bayonetta and Vanquish remain perfectly formed examples of PlatinumGames' exquisite mastery of action gaming. Here, in 4K, they’ve never been better.

Two superb games now available in their best console version. If you haven't played them in the past, this is a perfect chance to enjoy two of PlantinumGame's best efforts.

For a reasonable price you can own two of the greatest action games ever made, and they've aged like a fine Japanese wine, proving exactly why PlatinumGames is the best in the business when it comes to character-driven action experiences.

Two of the best action games of the last generation make the jump to current gen consoles and prove just as entertaining as they ever were.

Time has slowed down for Bayonetta and Vanquish; playing them today is an absolute blast, especially with the technical improvements of this bundle. Action games today wish they could be half as good as these two.

Even after all of these years, both Bayonetta and Vanquish remain absolute action-packed classics. This bundle may not be the celebration they deserve, but both games are absolutely worth revisiting.

If you've never played Vanquish and Bayonetta before, I cannot recommend them highly enough. They provide very different experiences, but both take combat to the next level and neither one feels dated, even though they released 10 years ago.

These are great games now available for players who might have missed them and they’re both worth the time, but for those who’ve already been through them, they’re just re-releases without any new modes or extra content to lure in old fans. That said, this pair still comes highly recommended!

Bayonetta & Vanquish Remastered is a very good bundle with two very good games that now support 4K resolution and 60 fps, plus we can now play Bayonetta on something that isn't a Nintendo.

Two of Platinum Games's finest games in a convenient package for everyone to enjoy, though the lack of extra content hurts the overall experience a bit.

Bayonetta and Vanquish are still as good games as they were 10 years ago. We have already played them before at 4K and 60fps on PC, but if you are not part of the master race and have never tried such jewels, congratulations.

In 2010, Bayonetta and Vanquish suggested action games didn’t have to compromise between style and substance. In 2020, with a remastered tenth anniversary bundle, the acrobatic precision of both titles still feels ahead of its time. Hideki Kamiya and Shinji Mikami, and their teams at PlatinumGames, created enduring action masterworks and Armature’s 4K facelift varnishes them with another decade of luster. Bayonetta and Vanquish look and feel ageless.

Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle brings together two of PlatinumGames’ best, giving them a fresh coat of paint to stand up to the visual standards of this decade. Vanquish is the clear winner of the two here, with some visually fantastic improvements, but both play just as well as they did ten years ago. While it's disappointing that bonus content isn't included, they’re still games any action fan shouldn’t miss.

My only gripe is the absolute bare bones quality of this release; sure, you get two pretty awesome, albeit relatively short, titles for a bargain basement price, but it would have been nice to have had a few extra bones thrown in for fans to gnaw on… Hell, I’d have even accepted the inclusion of the cheesy as Chester Cheetah’s balls ‘Bayonetta’ anime but, alas, there’s nothing of the sort. Still, this bundle is a pretty easy recommend for fans of Japanese action games and is a good way for fans of PlatinumGames’ more recent work to get a little bit of insight into the early days of the studio.

Both games deserve much more than a simple re-release, but it’s great to be able to play these masterpieces on the current-gen consoles. [Issue#243, p.54]

While Bayonetta requires a bit more grit during boss battles, both are still easy enough for anyone to pick up and not feel lost or unpracticed, and I highly recommend this bundle as a starting point for interested players. If you are a fan of hack and slash gameplay and creative finishers or fast-paced shooters where you just want to have fun and not think much of it, these games should definitely satisfy your needs.

Graphically, Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th anniversary bundle has not improved that much, other than being upscaled to 4K and 60fps. But the gameplay still feels fresh and there are not many titles currently on the market that can offer the same experience and quality.

As with all console ports, the Platinum Games bundle represents a fine opportunity to experience company defining titles you might have missed the first time with the added convenience of not having to dust off last gen’s console.

Two of the best Platinum Games' titles in one single, unmissable and quite cheap shot. This time you can't ignore them.

Both games featured in Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle hold up well a decade after their original release. Aside from the visual upgrade nothing seems to be changed with the games but there wasn’t anything that needed to be changed. Both titles have great visuals and combat mechanics, and while neither game is incredibly long, they fit the bill for quality of gameplay over quantity. Fans of the newer PlatinumGames titles that missed these games during their original release owe it to themselves to check out these re-releases as they offer some of the best action combat from the previous console generation.

Aside from being clearer and crisper, it’s difficult to point to how Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle is special. It runs great. It gives people an excuse to play two ridiculously fun games again. Unfortunately, there’s nothing else to make it really pop.

If you're an action game lover (or a wannabe) this collection is not to miss, but Xbox One users could buy the backward compatible versions for far less than the price asked here.

An excellent pack with two of the best Platinum Games titles: Vanquish, a superb shooter game; and Bayonetta, an irreverent but original hack and slash game. If you missed them, give them a shot.

Good bundle with two absolute action classics, which were lovelessly ported to the 4K era.

The visual refresh does its duty, modernizes without overdoing it, and gives a sufficiently fluid and clean glance. For its part, Vanquish does not retain the same immortal charm as Bayonetta, but remains - even after ten years - a noisy and electrifying third-person shooter, rejuvenated by a graphic brush that enhances its most spectacular soul.

This remastered PS4 / Xbox One edition featuring the two PlatinumGames hits that are celebrating their 10th anniversary is rather welcome for those who wish to discover, or re-discover these two titles. Some of the graphics are looking old, but that doesn't prevent you from enjoying some wild action while ensuring maximum style.
