    The new update adds so much more fun. Also the weapons are fun to use and veichels feel balanced. My only problem is the war stories aren't as good as battlefield 1

    The last real Battlefield game. So sad DICE has skipped developing more content for BF2042. They should have gave us more content before killing the franchise.

    The game is very immersive and just straight up fun. the only reason its not 10 is because in every match there's that one guy running around with a katana killing everyone. that ruins the emersion.

    I expected a bad game (since it has 2.3 User Score on this website). But honestly, it's a pretty good Battlefield game. It has some of the most visually pleasing maps I've ever seen in the franchise. Both because the graphics are realistic, but also because the idyllic settings (old romantic towns or colorful fields or snow-covered maps), environments that feel easy on the eyes as if itI expected a bad game (since it has 2.3 User Score on this website). But honestly, it's a pretty good Battlefield game. It has some of the most visually pleasing maps I've ever seen in the franchise. Both because the graphics are realistic, but also because the idyllic settings (old romantic towns or colorful fields or snow-covered maps), environments that feel easy on the eyes as if it was a virtual travel catalogue. The gameplay has some new aspects and tweaks on the formula, one of the most annoying being how to enter vehicles (you actually have to stand next to the door in order to enter a vehicle through that door). The 'Firestorm' game mode was completely abandoned when I tried searching for a session. So don't buy Battlefield V expecting to play Firestorm.… Expand

    Great gunplay, great sound and visuals. awesome maps. If you loved bf1942 you would love this. Ignore all the politically led **** and strip it down to gameplay - well worth the buy. It’s a shame in June 2020 DICE have stopped investing/adding new content to the game.

    Look we're all here for the multiplayer, and playing it in 2020 when team deathmatch has 19 fantastic maps, conquest is still reliably fun. This is far and above a more interesting and dynamic FPS than CoD. The campaign bits are fine but short and sweet, not really worth it. I'm pretty much rating this on the quality of the great multiplayer.

    As a hardcore conservative, it really pisses me off about all the stuff SJW's ruined. but hey, i'm happy people are actually seeing this and saying something. However, as a game, I think it's exactly what you would expect from a Battlefield game. Very fun, large scale warfare. Definitely deserves better than what the haters are giving it.

    this time around I didn’t care much for the multiplayer… I don’t know if recent advancements have just made me less patient in the multiplayer world, but here in batt;efield 5 it feels like spawn die spawn die.. worse than recent call of dudtys.. but the time it takes to actually get back in the game makes battlefield 5 multiplayer from firestorm, to the modes youre used to just frustrating to play through for me… so I pushed that to the side and just focused on its 5 and a half hour long campaign..
    And thankfully the campaign here is beautiful.. so much attention to detail here… and a nice varity when it comes to the levels as you go across 5 different war stories… all with different languages.. so sadly if youre like me and hate subtitles.. you don’t relaly have a choice here if you want to know whats going on… I love that battlefield 5 at least tried to deliver a unique experience in each of the 5 stories.. but not nearly as much as battlefield 1… all 5 stories stuck out here.. but mostly for its setting aside for a snow level whee you get to travers with skiis, really having me wishing for a first person ssx game… but in terms of level design overall, all 5 chapters felt pretty identical, same objective, different location.. g oacross this open map, make stuff explode, rinse repeat with some cutscenes in between… I feel like dice needs to really take note from the call of duty team with their recent emphasis on variety throughout their campaigns… at times battlefield 5 does feel like its delivering mini first person shooter games inside one world… but most of the time, it all feels too familiar, having you wanting it to just be over alredy, rather thaan feeling like wow, what an amazing 5 stories like they did last time..
    Overall im kind of over battlefield multiplayer, but as far as its singplayer goes, I really hope dice hone in on this, and delivers us more fleshed out mini stories, that don’t feel so copy and paste when it comes to objectives and delivery. I feel like this could help with the constant immersion breaking return to combat area countdown . its fine every once in a while, but constantly being told to get back in a quote unquote open world setting, just shows a lack of care when it comes to designing your experience.. it feels like a bandaid forcing you to be in the spot the game wants you to be in, rather design doing its job of keeping you there.
    I havnt given up on this series yet, and at least for its war stories, Ill have a reason to keep coming back.

As war games fan I start play the final version released on 20, and had a great surprise, final game has great game play, speed and gameplay mechanics, feels as good as BF4 or BF3.

    Bad:
    I still dislike any graphic details, after 5 Dec patch gets a lot better and fix some visual glitches (my glitches as PS4 player was only in graphics) and get better.

    Good:
    Greal good gaming experience
    Great speed connection speed living in an Caribbean country
    Good Visual customisations
    Good Game modes

    Overall, this is the game that I was expecting receive when I bought BF1, definitely recommended, Some bad reviews are based on hate, beta or COD lovers, then, take your time, play few hours of game (online) and make your own opinion.    … Expand

    This is mostly a review of the multiplayer aspect of this game, which really is all I've ever played of any BF game. Super brief comment on the campaign, yes it's short and no I didn't think it was that horrible. Now as far as multiplayer goes I feel that it is a really great installment. There are a lot of bugs but when there's that much coding and unique situations I kind of expect itThis is mostly a review of the multiplayer aspect of this game, which really is all I've ever played of any BF game. Super brief comment on the campaign, yes it's short and no I didn't think it was that horrible. Now as far as multiplayer goes I feel that it is a really great installment. There are a lot of bugs but when there's that much coding and unique situations I kind of expect it as games get more and more complex. My initial review of the negative reviews of this game (after filtering out people that don't actually own the game and are just posting negativity) seem to be in one of two categories of hating, hate on the inclusion of other races and genders other than white men and hate on the "lack of outfits and weapons". I'm not going to get too far into the why does it matter if you can play as a woman, asian, or black person but I really don't think this that big of a deal. Also weapons have specialization trees that you can work through after leveling them to upgrade and customize the weapon itself so even though there are limited number of weapons you can specialize them which creates unique weapons for each player, which to me effectively offset the initial lack of weapons.

    There are a decent number of maps and I like what they did with the weapon specializations creating a more customized play for each class. So far I see a lot of really upset people freaking out, hating, and bashing the franchise for including women, black people, and asians in the game play which is really... really.. REALLY.. concerning with regards to the status of our world in general. Moving on there's a lot of customization you can do for each person and you unlock outfits by performing well and progressing through the assignments. An example is medic, which is by far my highest leveled role at about 15, I now get additional medic assignments unlocked that give me new outfits and I can also choose the camo/color pattern for them so that's cool and makes them feel like there are more than there are, there's probably about 10 outfits consisting of pants, hat/helmet, and torso which then some have 5 or so color options. I don't think that there are really that many limited outfits between the color combos and the variety of outfits that seems like just as many as they've ever had initially.

    The multiplayer system is essentially the same as almost every other battlefield but with new maps and setting/theme. I don't get why so many people are bashing the multiplayer when it has been just as fun as it always has been. I like that they made a lot of changes to the mechanics of the ballistics for the recon class as well, not going to spoil them you'll just have to figure it out. Overall I would say most people do not buy these games anymore for campaign mode(COD included which essentially has absolutely no campaign now) and just play it for multiplayer. I would give them an 8/10 for this and say it's worth it if you liked the already well established battlefield multiplayer experience.    … Expand

Now multiplayer, let's get down to the mode people actually buy this game for. Yes there are women, yes there are minorities (but not in the Axis unlike CoD WW2, but yeah sure DICE is evil revisionist history). Despite the massive marketing flubs that EA/DICE made this is the most fun I've had with a battlefield title in a while. The gunplay is smooth and we are getting plenty of new weapons, yes some of them made appearances in BF1 but they all feel different. I waiting to write this review until Tides of War started, there are some bug issues but DICE is doing an amazing job of communicating with the community about what they are doing and when to expect patches. As far as Tides of War goes it is fun, it gives you custom cosmetics, new weapons and outfits, dog tags, emblems and all sorts of stuff, it also gives you some interesting challenges that can help you broaden your play style. I paid $100 CAD for the deluxe, with the sale that's on now I say buy it! You are going to get a ton of game play out of the most solid shooter experience dice has put out in a while.

    Live service - did it release with all intended content for the life of the game? No, instead we get a roadmap for content and we are looking at additional game modes, weapons, factions, locations and vehicles over the course of the games lifespan. DICE has done a great job of being engaging with the community and transparent in what we can expect and when we can expect it and it looks like this game is going to have a great future.

    If you are offended that there are women and minorities, if that is what bothers you the most about this game, honestly the community right now is the best state I've seen a battlefield community in in a while (on PS4) and we're probably better off without you.    … Expand

    The story mode felt uninspiring there fast and forgettable still present unliked some certain shooting coming every year, yet the Multiplayer feels refreshing in the WW2 setting as long we get Russian and War in the Pacific 1942 classic maps this would be a great price.

    Not historically accurate.
    Gameplay doesn't deviate from past Battlefields.
    Ignores whole regions of WW2.

    But it is still fun. Sure running around on a 'front line' consisting of 80% women models isn't accurate, but I've enjoyed if more than past battlefield games.

    Its still 1000x better than Blackops 4.

    Ce n'est pas un jeu de niche, de simulation de guerre etc... c'est un jeux avant tout fun a jouer mais qui s'inscrite bien dans cette époque sombre de notre histoire

    I only played multiplayer (27 hours in) and I really enjoy it. This is my first battlefield experience and I like it. I had my concerns with the reveal of the game and all the gender issues but if you can ignore all that and take a look at the game with a more open mind, it's well worth it's money.

    Although I understand and agree it being unfinished and lacking content, I am having alot of fun in multiplayer matches. People are slowly getting used to the maps and objectives resulting less campers more action. My first review here so Cheers :)

    Great game with new mechanics improving the immersion to WW2. Hopefully we will see a good amount of extra content in the future as currently it is a bit lacking. Adding female soldiers to a WW2 game was a questionable choice.

    Overall the game is realy fun and makes important changes to spotting. The game does need a few maajor fixes such as being insta killed by an AA gun before you can jump. Dispite the bugs my friends and i are having alot of fun with the game and cant wait for the coming content

    Give this game a chance and you'll find:

    - Fantastic game modes (with more to come) - Grand Operations, where you play 3 separate battles over one game, is a wonderful addition.
    - Immersive, tasteful and atmospheric sounds and music
    - Fantastic gameplay - weapons feel really nice with only (at this point) minor need for some tweaks.
    - A commitment to deliver free, ongoing content that will add more to what is already a really good initial offering.

    And really that's the main reason why I'm writing this review. I've never reviewed anything before in my life. Trust me, the game is worth buying because EA/DICE have come up with a really good model that should be rewarded. They've started this game with the battlefields of early WW2. This sees the British and Germans fighting over North Africa, Holland, Belgium etc. They're going to be constantly releasing content (maps and some game modes to come) that brings more and more content into the game, chronologically expanding with the theatres of the war. It's so disappointing that EA/DICE are being bashed over having female characters in a game at all. It's even more disappointing because this game is doing SO MANY THINGS that we as a community have been crying out for - no more paid DLC and community segmentation, pay for the game once and get continued content and support, new and fresh game modes etc... We need to be rewarding this as a community.

    The game isn't perfect but no game is. The progression system could be better, for example. But it's FUN, it feels good and they're going to keep improving it. Historical accuracy? In a game series where a syringe cures all bullet wounds? It's a video game not a documentary, get a grip!    … Expand

    Look I understand the frustration due to an unfinished launch (riddles with bugs) and SJW stuff which does undermine the historical context (females, asians etc.) BUT after 3 months there are no bugs left and if you ignore the SJW stuff, the game is decent. It's also fun to play and they keep it interesting with adding new maps and game mods.

    Amazing game but it is the most frustrating beginner experience that I've ever seen, the playerbase is so far-on that it feels near utterly hopeless quite a lot of the time. Highly immersive shooter with good hitboxes which makes CoD and Warzone seem like they aren't in real time. But the frustration develops more and more even though it is a good game

    As my first battlefield game I really enjoyed. I was always into Cod but stopped since MW 2019 sbmm and bf5 went into ps plus and I tried it out and really liked it a lot. The campaign was not very good but I am really liking the multiplayer. It is really getting me excited for the next battlefield especially if it is a good game to the battlefield community because i know bf5 wasn't

The narrative story driven campaign is absolutely remarkable, the 64 player Multiplayer is fantastic, and the all new battle royale mode Firestorm allows a new player experience like never before seen in a Battlefield franchise. The game has improved dramatically since BF1 and it has truly shown throughout this game, theBattlefield V is truly in my opinion immersive, extremely immersive. This game feels just like a remake of this and EA DICE has executed this perfectly. Although, this game feels great, a few technical problems may be holding this game back a little, unless EA DICE addresses this, I will give BattleField V a 8 out of 10 in my review of this game.… Expand

    Battlefield V had a hard start... As a big Battlefield fan since many years I followed the development with worry lines... Battlefield always deafted CoD imo because of the huge atmospheric and "relastic" gameplay...
    There were times when u could even improve your history knowledge while playing BF, because of the places and battles...

I am still annoyed by the communication between the developers and the fans and can't accept this "let's change history, because developers daugthers might want to be a cyborg superhero in WW2 and media has to show that girls can be anything, because its 2010s"... exhausting...

    Beside this the gameplay is actually cool. I like the WW2 setting, it just fits so much to this huge typical BF battles... The maps are awesome, it looks good, the engine with the destroyable world is fun, there are no 1000 have to play dlc (effen thoug I would ve actually bought 1 Addon if the content would ve been worth it) which is unfortunately not normal anymore.
    The whole atmosphere is super epic, the sounds and graphics with all those details gives you the feeling to be part of it. There are a lot of interesting different weapons, the hits/kill feedback is cool and there are those epic moments when u are defending on your own in a complety lost position, just you and your mg42 against dozens of attackers you are mowing down, while a airplane drops right next to you into a decomposed stable. That's what I call an battlefield moment. And I think thats beautiful.

    My critics: developers behavior like mentioned, no more support - like really? An WW2 shooter with no Russians and "Ostfront" maps, beside this finland themed one? .. thats a shame, few bugs and idk how but some long-term competitive involved would've been nice for the replay effect.. like a rating system or something and the balancing of airplanes can be annoying if you play against 2 good pilots.

    With an USSR Update and a Stalingrad map it would've been a 9.5/10 for me.

    Now the BFV booked has been closed. I really hope they won't follow this "dark path" with the next chapter that I am afraid of... a path full of microtransections, unrealistic jetpack knife kills and muilticolored bunny skins out of season pass lootboxes.    … Expand

    After last BF this is really so good. Optimization and gameplay on a mid level, but we don't have any other good BF with live online. I recommended this if you wanna play some BF!

    Para mí, Battlefield V está bastante infravalorado. Al principio estaba bastante regular tirando a malo, pero ahora está mucho más pulido. Tiene más armas, más mapas y vehículos, especializaciones y etc. Estoy a favor de los cosméticos pero me parecen demasiado caros en mi opinión, y los élites creo que ni deberían estar.     Better buy Battlefield 2042, at least it's live, but if you want specifically the second world, you can buy this game, but keep in mind that there is not even crossplay here and the game is dead in general, only online is relatively normal, but if we talk about the game then it's a great game.

    Sequel to the WWI FPS set in WWII that nicely combines action with story telling with a good blend of stealth and wanton destruction and very pretty graphics. It's not quite the measure of the original thanks to a few glitches, but they're not serious enough to spoil your enjoyment.

    I ranked it that high, because I’ve had a really good time playing it. I admit, the game has huge problems, but I can live with them. A big point why I like that game is because, you can build stuff (trenches, sand sacks and more) and the vehicles are better than ever. Some weapons are pointless, but most of them are playable.

    Even after the few updates and contents ... There isn't enough content to play it till the Battle royal comes out for BFV. It's better that you buy it at a discounted price or at least till the new maps and modes comes out.

    The reason why I don"t give it a low rating is because there are worse games out there. And i know why the fanboys are getting upset for the BF franchise.

    I have played the opening and the three missions and it's ok but nothing relevant. The story of the game would deserve a 7 or an 8. I can't speak about the online game. I haven't played the mission called The last tiger because I have limited internet and the update were like 65 gb. Without the update I found some issues but they were not a big deal.     Surprised this has such ridiculously low user scores, as in my opinion it has the best gunplay in the series. Really enjoy all aspects of BF5's multiplayer I've sunk dozens of hours across all maps, and I really think the game is in a great state now with balanced guns and a detailed and interesting variety of locations. However do not even try playing the campaign, it sucks dick.

He was killed his first spawn by a lucky German assault trooper (due to lag, total bs!). His second time he was killed by a nade (due to glitching, whatever!). But his third spawn? Felt a bit too fast paced with the TTK at first but after getting used to it (didn't take long), i'm enjoying it. It is quite buggy but everything seems to be being addressed. Still don't like it as much as BF1, i'd have scored BF1 anPersonally i'm enjoying it, thankfully.     To start off, I was one of the people who didn't like DICE's depiction of WW2 and was against the game from the start. The closed alpha was quite good, but the beta was an outright disaster. That said, I can confidently say that this year's installment has the best gameplay since BF3. If you want a game with an in-depth progressions system that you can sink hours into with its constant genre-defining epic moments for hours on end, this is the game for you. Cosmetics are surprisingly good. All characters you can choose are faction specific, meaning no black woman nazis, restricting the player to choose from a variety of men and women from a select character pool. For those concerned about historical accuracy, it is barely noticeable aside from the uncomfortable and loud women screaming on the battlefield. The content is quite light at launch. While there is a lot of variety in the content itself, the quantity is lacking. Features such as dragging downed friendlies, vehicle customization, and the Last Tiger war story are lacking from the game. The game is also very buggy. I'd say there aren't many 'game breaking' bugs (although I've encountered an infinite revive state glitch where I couldn't respawn), as most of the bugs are ignorable at best. The story is alright. 2 of the 3 war stories are quite decent, and one is just downright garbage. The AI is piss poor, and there is no variety in gameplay other than the typical one man army style gameplay. Performance isn't up to standard right now, as hectic moments can get quite laggy especially if you don't have a good CPU. So, should you buy the game? Not yet. Either wait till it's on sale or until more content comes out. I also recommend you try out the game by buying one month of EA Access. I've had a blast with the game so far, and I look forward to Tides of War.    … Expand

I have enjoyed using every gun and every single one of the maps are great a few exceptions of some that could be improved on. Battlefield V has the potential to beAs someone who disliked everything about Battlefield 1 I was entering Battlefield V with low expectations but after playing Conquest and Grand Operations this is the first time i have actually enjoyed a Battlefield Multiplayer. I don't think this game looks as good as BF1 did though it does seem to play a touch better.     The game's campaign is lackluster and boring. The multiplayer experience is very fun but some of the map design for certain maps make those maps boring and not fun to play. There are a few maps that I like to play and always com pack to. I feel like the women representation doesn't belong in the game. There are a lot of glitches. Overall I only like the multiplayer experience.

    I didn't like this game at launch because of all the bugs and lack of content, but recently I gave it another try when Firestorm launched and if've been playing BFV since. I love the gunplay in this game it's just so satisfying. Despite the enjoyment I'm getting there are still a lot of issues that I hope will be resolved soon.

    This game is OK. I spent a while on it and had a genuinely a good time. I got a few kills, died a few times, trolled a teeny bit. I enjoyed it. BUT. I am not 6 months into playing and I have already found some game breaking glitches. I will sometimes spawn in and my weapons will not load within a few minutes, meaning i have to sit in a corner hoping I don't get spotted until my weapons do,This game is OK. I am not 6 months into playing and I have already found some game breaking glitches. I will sometimes spawn in and my weapons will not load within a few minutes, meaning i have to sit in a corner hoping I don't get spotted until my weapons do, though I am often killed before they do. I play on console with a rough frame rate shat SHOULD be around 60 frames with small breaks every now and then; what I do not like is that sometimes my game will sometimes run at 15 frames and sometimes even crash.

    Fix it DICE. Don't ruin such a fun game with crappy bugs and unplayble frame rates.    … Expand

    Good graphics and destructible objects. Firestorm addition was a game changer. But the bugs and the connections to servers spoil the party.

Con el nuevo DLC guerra en el Pacífico muchas cosas han cambiado. Después de que exploté sus dos nuevos mapas llegué a la conclusión que el juego aún puede dar más hacia delante. Es un DLC que me hizo pensar lo que tuvieron que vivir los japoneses y estadounidenses en esa época. Pero retomando los otros mapas uno se da cuenta que son muuuy flojos on online flojo que no se compara con los de sus antecesores, un online repetitivo que podría ser compensado con un aumento de slots en los jugadores. Acerca de su banda Sonora es una maldita obra maestra sin dudarlo, le da un toque genial al juego así que un punto a favor para este juego que se que algún día dará lo que prometió. En conclusión battlefield debe cambiar su rutina en diferentes aspectos. Es un juego que le he dedicado horas y horas, no me desepcionen y por favor no dejen morir al juego.… Expand

    I first met the Battlefield universe. The graphics are one of the best, but I did not see any more advantages. the plot is mediocre, very tolerant and terrible physics. But somehow this game still got me hooked.

    The story idea is quite good although the various storylines are all too short to get you engaged with the characters. The multiplayer is fun although it all feels like a bit of a let down after how amazing Battlefield 1 was.

    After coming off of a franchise high with Battlefield 1, they decided to go to the drawing boards to see what adjustments they can make to have less of a lasting impact and feel closer to every other shooter on the market. That’s not to say BFV is a bad game because it’s not, but it lacks the balance, character, and energy of BF1. The last entry really made most guns a viable option in theAfter coming off of a franchise high with Battlefield 1, they decided to go to the drawing boards to see what adjustments they can make to have less of a lasting impact and feel closer to every other shooter on the market. That’s not to say BFV is a bad game because it’s not, but it lacks the balance, character, and energy of BF1. The last entry really made most guns a viable option in the game, while this game really eliminates 75% of the available guns because some are just overwhelmingly better in every way. Somehow they have also made support, one of the four classes in the game, almost entirely useless and not worth the time. The balancing in this game is far off the marks, even years later in 2022.

    It has a lot of odd game design decisions that made it lose the Battlefield personality to the point where it feels like it’s trying to be other games way too much. The customization is a cool idea, but horribly executed. Every gun can be customized with some ridiculous scope including red dot sights, which completely take away any purpose from the iron sights. But when you have a female soldier with a prosthetic arm, blue face paint, and some really whacky clothing holding a gun that has zero recoil due to poor balancing along with a red dot sight decades before they were invented, it sort of loses its charm and begins to feel like Call of Duty. I know the game is not selling itself as a historically accurate game, but I don’t see the point of trying to make it seem like a WWII game.

    With that being said it’s not a bad game, it’s just an average Battlefield game. There is some fun to be had.

    It does shine in other areas. The level design is very good and really place you into some stunning environments. The destruction physics are fantastic and greatly improved from the last game. Some of the new modes are pretty entertaining. It does some things right. All in all, you can have some fun with the game, but it’s a very disappointing entry in the franchise. Too often it feels like Call of Duty mixed with Battlefield game modes, instead of just using what the franchise already does well and did exceptionally well just prior in Battlefield 1.    … Expand

    Игра неплохая с хорошими картами,но игра довольно быстро надоедает,сделать убийство в ней довольно тяжело.Но графика в игре на высоте,разрушаемость неплохая. Так же играть за чёрных как-то не очень.

    This is the only battlefield (other than BF1) that I can play from india without severe ping issues. The gunplay feels great as an infantry player, it’s super easy to unlock new guns, the movement is smooth and the maps are alright. I enjoy this game for what it is. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but a solid shooter nonetheless and worth playing.

I also play a lot of racing games and use to play multiplayer games in my high school days but now that it's hard for me and my friends to find a good time to link up so now I hardly play any.     Series is turning in the wrong direction. Devs are including stuff from other games instead of focusing I what seperated them from other games. Get rid of Hero shooter nonsense, add more weapons. Even the marketing team says don't buy if you value authentic history more than the hero shooter stuff. This series forgot what made them a Call of Duty threat.     It runs very well, but the problems lie in the lack of content as they cut the life-support of this game during its developement as a live service game and the cosmetics reduce the immersion the earlier titles in the franchise had.

    In many ways, Battlefield V feels like a big step backwards for the franchise. The campaign is boring and frustrating, multiplayer is unbalanced, and bugs keep popping up in every mode to ruin the experience. The fortification system is a good shakeup, but the good it brings is tempered by the cumbersome and murky Grand Operations. With some patches, balance changes and bug squashing, BFV could be a fantastic game, but at the moment, this soldier needs to go back to basic training.
