    Sequel to the WWI FPS set in WWII that nicely combines action with story telling with a good blend of stealth and wanton destruction and very pretty graphics. It's not quite the measure of the original thanks to a few glitches, but they're not serious enough to spoil your enjoyment.

    I ranked it that high, because I’ve had a really good time playing it. I admit, the game has huge problems, but I can live with them. A big point why I like that game is because, you can build stuff (trenches, sand sacks and more) and the vehicles are better than ever. Some weapons are pointless, but most of them are playable.

    Better buy Battlefield 2042, at least it's live, but if you want specifically the second world, you can buy this game, but keep in mind that there is not even crossplay here and the game is dead in general, only online is relatively normal, but if we talk about the game then it's a great game.

    Para mí, Battlefield V está bastante infravalorado. Al principio estaba bastante regular tirando a malo, pero ahora está mucho más pulido. Tiene más armas, más mapas y vehículos, especializaciones y etc. Estoy a favor de los cosméticos pero me parecen demasiado caros en mi opinión, y los élites creo que ni deberían estar. Por favor, dadle una segunda oportunidad.ಥ‿ಥ

    After last BF this is really so good. Optimization and gameplay on a mid level, but we don't have any other good BF with live online. I recommended this if you wanna play some BF!

    The game is very immersive and just straight up fun. the only reason its not 10 is because in every match there's that one guy running around with a katana killing everyone. that ruins the emersion.

    The last real Battlefield game. So sad DICE has skipped developing more content for BF2042. They should have gave us more content before killing the franchise.

    One of the bests Battlefield games. The multiplayer and gameplay is very fun. The tactical conquest maps are great and strategic conquest maps are mid. And finally you can customise your sex, gender, haircut and clothes!

    As my first battlefield game I really enjoyed. I was always into Cod but stopped since MW 2019 sbmm and bf5 went into ps plus and I tried it out and really liked it a lot. The campaign was not very good but I am really liking the multiplayer. It is really getting me excited for the next battlefield especially if it is a good game to the battlefield community because i know bf5 wasn't

    Probably the best battlefield I have ever played. Undisputedly, BF5 has the best, most realistic campaign in the entire series and the multiplayer is also great with a crazy amount of maps. People that dislike BF5 are not true fans of the series.

    this time around I didn’t care much for the multiplayer… I don’t know if recent advancements have just made me less patient in the multiplayer world, but here in batt;efield 5 it feels like spawn die spawn die.. worse than recent call of dudtys.. but the time it takes to actually get back in the game makes battlefield 5 multiplayer from firestorm, to the modes youre used to just frustrating to play through for me… so I pushed that to the side and just focused on its 5 and a half hour long campaign..
    And thankfully the campaign here is beautiful.. so much attention to detail here… and a nice varity when it comes to the levels as you go across 5 different war stories… all with different languages.. so sadly if youre like me and hate subtitles.. you don’t relaly have a choice here if you want to know whats going on… I love that battlefield 5 at least tried to deliver a unique experience in each of the 5 stories.. but not nearly as much as battlefield 1… all 5 stories stuck out here.. but mostly for its setting aside for a snow level whee you get to travers with skiis, really having me wishing for a first person ssx game… but in terms of level design overall, all 5 chapters felt pretty identical, same objective, different location.. g oacross this open map, make stuff explode, rinse repeat with some cutscenes in between… I feel like dice needs to really take note from the call of duty team with their recent emphasis on variety throughout their campaigns… at times battlefield 5 does feel like its delivering mini first person shooter games inside one world… but most of the time, it all feels too familiar, having you wanting it to just be over alredy, rather thaan feeling like wow, what an amazing 5 stories like they did last time..
    Overall im kind of over battlefield multiplayer, but as far as its singplayer goes, I really hope dice hone in on this, and delivers us more fleshed out mini stories, that don’t feel so copy and paste when it comes to objectives and delivery. I feel like this could help with the constant immersion breaking return to combat area countdown . its fine every once in a while, but constantly being told to get back in a quote unquote open world setting, just shows a lack of care when it comes to designing your experience.. it feels like a bandaid forcing you to be in the spot the game wants you to be in, rather design doing its job of keeping you there.
    I havnt given up on this series yet, and at least for its war stories, Ill have a reason to keep coming back.

    Amazing game but it is the most frustrating beginner experience that I've ever seen, the playerbase is so far-on that it feels near utterly hopeless quite a lot of the time. Highly immersive shooter with good hitboxes which makes CoD and Warzone seem like they aren't in real time. But the frustration develops more and more even though it is a good game

    Battlefield V had a hard start... As a big Battlefield fan since many years I followed the development with worry lines... Battlefield always deafted CoD imo because of the huge atmospheric and "relastic" gameplay...
    There were times when u could even improve your history knowledge while playing BF, because of the places and battles...

    And then this trailer with the undefeatable super cyborg girl appeared.. I am still annoyed by the communication between the developers and the fans and can't accept this "let's change history, because developers daugthers might want to be a cyborg superhero in WW2 and media has to show that girls can be anything, because its 2010s"... exhausting...

    Beside this the gameplay is actually cool. I like the WW2 setting, it just fits so much to this huge typical BF battles... The maps are awesome, it looks good, the engine with the destroyable world is fun, there are no 1000 have to play dlc (effen thoug I would ve actually bought 1 Addon if the content would ve been worth it) which is unfortunately not normal anymore.
    The whole atmosphere is super epic, the sounds and graphics with all those details gives you the feeling to be part of it. There are a lot of interesting different weapons, the hits/kill feedback is cool and there are those epic moments when u are defending on your own in a complety lost position, just you and your mg42 against dozens of attackers you are mowing down, while a airplane drops right next to you into a decomposed stable. That's what I call an battlefield moment. And I think thats beautiful.

    My critics: developers behavior like mentioned, no more support - like really? An WW2 shooter with no Russians and "Ostfront" maps, beside this finland themed one? .. thats a shame, few bugs and idk how but some long-term competitive involved would've been nice for the replay effect.. like a rating system or something and the balancing of airplanes can be annoying if you play against 2 good pilots.

    With an USSR Update and a Stalingrad map it would've been a 9.5/10 for me.

    Now the BFV booked has been closed. I really hope they won't follow this "dark path" with the next chapter that I am afraid of... a path full of microtransections, unrealistic jetpack knife kills and muilticolored bunny skins out of season pass lootboxes.    … Expand

It has some of the most visually pleasing maps I've ever seen in the franchise. Both because the graphics are realistic, but also because the idyllic settings (old romantic towns or colorful fields or snow-covered maps), environments that feel easy on the eyes as if itI expected a bad game (since it has 2.3 User Score on this website).     Logged in again after a break of nearly a year. A lot of changes happened, new maps, gameplay works smooth, full servers, easy to find games, still in my opinion one of the best Battlefield games. To play now with mouse and keyboard makes even more fun and reminds me of the old days in front of the PC. so I like it, gives me a lot of fun, BF at its best.

The narrative story driven campaign is absolutely remarkable, the 64 player Multiplayer is fantastic, and the all new battle royale mode Firestorm allows a new player experience like never before seen in a Battlefield franchise. The game has improved dramatically since BF1 and it has truly shown throughout this game, theBattlefield V is truly in my opinion immersive, extremely immersive.     Great gunplay, great sound and visuals. awesome maps. If you loved bf1942 you would love this. Ignore all the politically led **** and strip it down to gameplay - well worth the buy. It’s a shame in June 2020 DICE have stopped investing/adding new content to the game.

    Look we're all here for the multiplayer, and playing it in 2020 when team deathmatch has 19 fantastic maps, conquest is still reliably fun. This is far and above a more interesting and dynamic FPS than CoD. The campaign bits are fine but short and sweet, not really worth it. I'm pretty much rating this on the quality of the great multiplayer.

    This game has came a long way in a year! The Pacific Theater has added a lot to this game for sure. When you have two teams playing fir the win this game really shines. Unfortunately you sometimes get in games were half your team sits back and snipes for kills or uses tanks planes in the same planes in the same manner. When it's played the way it's supposed to be played it's great!

    I got into this game mainly because of Firestorm. But as I got the full I played through the other modes as well, Campaign and MP or as I like to call it, std. MP. I'm not that much of an MP guy and I mainly play TDM, so all I have to say about the std MP is that it is fun to me as I'm not really that much into it. About the Campaign, well, I saw a lot    "Brainstorm to the next level !"

    I got into this game mainly because of Firestorm. But as I got the full I played through the other modes as well, Campaign and MP or as I like to call it, std. MP. I'm not that much of an MP guy and I mainly play TDM, so all I have to say about the std MP is that it is fun to me as I'm not really that much into it. About the Campaign, well, I saw a lot of complaints about cover art featuring a woman so I went to the Campaign expecting it would be a single story where I'd play as a woman in a WW II setting. Actually it's different from that. It is divided into 4 main stories which are independent of each otherand each featuring its own protagonist and guess, it's like only one of those stories, or rather war stories, feature a woman as a main character and the lady is actually convincing at least to me as a fighter. The Campaign is also a bit different from what I was accostumed, now it's like a little bit open world in some of the missions and you may use vehicles to traverse the area, and some of the missions themselves can be approached in more than one way which for me is a little bit of a sandbox added to it. Overall, an enjoyable Campaign, like for me that got it just for Firestorm and take that as almost like a bonus. Now slight spoilers, in one of those war stories you get to play as a Nazi, but as these stories seem to be based in reality you already know how it ends. But well, not sure which is worse , playing as a Nazi or play a game where Nazis have won WW II, your choice here. But the Nazi you get to play as is a rather good one. Now, before this ends up as a TLDR, if that hasn't already happened, let me finally talk just a little about Firestorm, the reason of me coming here.
    They won me in the early videos featuring the Ring of Fire, I thought it was really cool, and felt like I had to play the game just for that, I didn't want to to just look on the web I wanted to see it for myself, and now I have seen it as this mode released a few hours ago. What I have to say about it is that it's stunning, it looks very convincing and blends really well with this type of game. Now , looking back at the other BR games out there if you compare the Ring of Fire with what I'd call the "unsafe" zones in the other games, they look to me as afterthoughts compared to the Ring of Fire.This is the best "unsafe" zone I've seen in a BR game to date. I'm still early hours with Firestorm but so far I'd say it delivered my expectations and it's worth it just for the Ring of Fire. I don't know about other places but in my region this game is currently on sale for half the price so you get Firestorm and as I like to say the std MP and the SP, so it's like a 3-in-1 package.
    Now the only thing that might be like a downside to me so far is the water, like when you dive. And so, the inevitable comparison comes out this or Blackout? Well, the Collapse is not as strong as the Ring of Fire, but the water in Blackout just looks gorgeous. I'd even dare to say that it looks actually better than real water! And so, we come to the whole point of videogames, to deliver experiences that surpass those we can have in real life. Wow, that's deep, maybe even philosophical, I'm sounding like an inventive Dev, but let me tell you the truth, I'm no creative Dev, not even an indie one, I'm just a Modder, but a rather happy one as I always said long ago ... truly am :-)
    So, I guess the choice between Firestorm and Blackout comes down to choosing water or fire ...

    So there you have it, sorry for the TLDR text. And remember, the sale goes until tomorrow, enjoy the game.

    Update: Now having played Firestorm a little bit more, but still not much, I have to say that the exterior of the Ring looks so Hellish like some people describe it and like Apocalypse that it wouldn't be like a place one would like to find him/herself in. However, interestingly, the visual, the look of the Firestorm is so appealing that I often find myself tempted to enter it even if it's like a quick peek. Truly tempting.

    Update 2: Since the launch I've been doing nothing else but Firestorming. Today marks V Day since I started. From the text above I suppose it is apparent that my first impression of Firestorm was very good. And now, having spent more time with the game I'd like to add that I had a blast over the past week. I feel that I like the game more now than in launch day. Also, I think they bring new things to the already established BR formula. The most notable being the "massive" Firewall. Also nice are the destructible buildings and the artillery strikes. And there is more, but I won't details beyond that. Lastly, they extended the sale of this game, now it'll be live until next week (April 3rd, I think), so ... hurry! I want to keep playing it, but I probably go back to my backlog for now and try to divide my time between them. Nice game overall.    … Expand

    I have played every battlefield since BC2, this would be my 2nd favourite behind BF3. I tend to look at a game firstly through the 'is it fun' aspect, this is a fun game to play, the core mechanics are very solid, the guns feel weighty, the movement is decent maybe slightly too easy to get stuck on small objects.

    The single player mode is short but I enjoyed the French mission, does anyone buy BF games for the single player anyway?

    The multiplayer is short of a few maps but they will be adding more through the tides of war service, which is free. I know some people are saying they should have delayed until March so more content would be available, but we live in a right now world.

    I loved frontline from BF1 but to play it here you have to join an infantry focused server which rotates death match and domination, both not my cup of team.

    The multiplayer game is well balanced in my opinion, with each class having its place, spotting has been drastically scaled back, so flanking is much improved, the game has a more skill based tactical feel to it over BF1, Planes and Tanks feel powerful but not overpowered, this may change as people rank up and get very good at them. Not once (yet) have I been killed and didn't deserve it in some way. The better player will do better in this game. Thankfully there is way less explosive spam in this game over BF1, well so far anyway.

    Overall I am impressed with this game, the customisation is very in depth and the core mechanic are very good. Needs more maps and dedicated game type servers though.    … Expand

    Não achei defeito nesse jogo, graficos no talo, mapas grandes e lindos, jogabildade perfeita, rodando a 60fps sem lags, jogo de adulto sem poderzinho ou slide ou frufru, só estranhei o fato de nao spotar, mas da pra acostumar. No aguardo do battle royale.

    The Game is Really Great.
    Despite historical inaccuracy in the campaign, the game is really Great. Multiplayer is a lot of fun, so I do recommend it.

    Look I understand the frustration due to an unfinished launch (riddles with bugs) and SJW stuff which does undermine the historical context (females, asians etc.) BUT after 3 months there are no bugs left and if you ignore the SJW stuff, the game is decent. It's also fun to play and they keep it interesting with adding new maps and game mods.

I really enjoyed the Last Tiger Mission, it was outstanding and nice to see the war from the german view. Also one can't criticise BF5 for having them while enjoying other titles with the same System (OW, Anthem,Fortnite, Fifa,...). I think the ratings aren't quite as objective as they should be.

    Amazing multiplayer experience. Guns and classes are balanced. The immerssion is just perfect. You really feel the chaos and the stress of the battle in a very realistic way. I pretty recommend it.

    Gun play feels fresh again, lesser players will get their kills, compared to bf1 this is in a whole new ballpark .
    Yes the trickle release of content is weird but at least it's not hidden behind a pass of sorts. The one big issue i have with BFV are the micro-transactions, not the worst in the industry but still not a fan.

    Gameplay doesn't deviate from past Battlefields.
    Ignores whole regions of WW2.

    But it is still fun. Sure running around on a 'front line' consisting of 80% women models isn't accurate, but I've enjoyed if more than past battlefield games.

    Its still 1000x better than Blackops 4.

    Battlefield 5 is a great game. There are many bugs but none are really are game changing, just visual. The maps are fun, and the graphics are amazing. The war stories campaign is also very enjoyable and provide a good story. My one big problem is the time of death and invisible enemies glitch but otherwise the game is very good.

    My score is primarily based on gameplay and squad mechanic. Played all Battlefield games since BF3 and BFV, has for me, the best shooting mechanic and the best squad gameplay. If you play well with your squad, you have a better chance to win the game and a lone wolf has less. It may not have a lot of content right now but all the remaining content will be free so that's a good thing. IMy score is primarily based on gameplay and squad mechanic. Now multiplayer, let's get down to the mode people actually buy this game for. Yes there are women, yes there are minorities (but not in the Axis unlike CoD WW2, but yeah sure DICE is evil revisionist history). Despite the massive marketing flubs that EA/DICE made this is the most fun I've had with a battlefield title in a while. The gunplay is smooth and we are getting plenty of new weapons, yes some of them made appearances in BF1 but they all feel different. I waiting to write this review until Tides of War started, there are some bug issues but DICE is doing an amazing job of communicating with the community about what they are doing and when to expect patches. As far as Tides of War goes it is fun, it gives you custom cosmetics, new weapons and outfits, dog tags, emblems and all sorts of stuff, it also gives you some interesting challenges that can help you broaden your play style. I paid $100 CAD for the deluxe, with the sale that's on now I say buy it! You are going to get a ton of game play out of the most solid shooter experience dice has put out in a while.

    Live service - did it release with all intended content for the life of the game? No, instead we get a roadmap for content and we are looking at additional game modes, weapons, factions, locations and vehicles over the course of the games lifespan. DICE has done a great job of being engaging with the community and transparent in what we can expect and when we can expect it and it looks like this game is going to have a great future.

    If you are offended that there are women and minorities, if that is what bothers you the most about this game, honestly the community right now is the best state I've seen a battlefield community in in a while (on PS4) and we're probably better off without you.    … Expand

    I bought BFV and CODIIII the same day.
    BF4 runs 4K nearly maxed out with a 2070, looks amazing, overall it's a very nice improved WWII version of BFI, with a lot of visual / UI / gameplay improvements. Overall satisfied despite the critiques.
    Totally satisfied for what I paid (around 40€)
    I put only 9/10 because it's not as much impressive as BF1 was by the time it came out.

    Honestly, the gameplay is really amazing! The single player is an immersing experience, you felt "war" in each mission. The multiplayer as a more tactical approach, which I enjoy! If you don't care about the social issues that EA brings in this game, you will like this game! It is really minimal in my opinion and you still feel the Battlefield experience in this new game. Why not gives it a try?

    great game with a better combat system better than cod ww2 but thing people get mad is that is it is not historically accurate. If its on a game system do honestly think it will be historically accurate is meant to be fun not historically accurate.

As war games fan I start play the final version released on 20, and had a great surprise, final game has great game play, speed and gameplay mechanics, feels as good as BF4 or BF3.

    I still dislike any graphic details, after 5 Dec patch gets a lot better and fix some visual glitches (my glitches as PS4 player was only in graphics) and get better.

    Good:
    Greal good gaming experience
    Great speed connection speed living in an Caribbean country
    Good Visual customisations
    Good Game modes

    Overall, this is the game that I was expecting receive when I bought BF1, definitely recommended, Some bad reviews are based on hate, beta or COD lovers, then, take your time, play few hours of game (online) and make your own opinion.    … Expand

Trust me, the game is worth buying because EA/DICE have come up with a really good model that should be rewarded. They've started this game with the battlefields of early WW2. This sees the British and Germans fighting over North Africa, Holland, Belgium etc. They're going to be constantly releasing content (maps and some game modes to come) that brings more and more content into the game, chronologically expanding with the theatres of the war. It's so disappointing that EA/DICE are being bashed over having female characters in a game at all. It's even more disappointing because this game is doing SO MANY THINGS that we as a community have been crying out for - no more paid DLC and community segmentation, pay for the game once and get continued content and support, new and fresh game modes etc... We need to be rewarding this as a community.

    The game isn't perfect but no game is. The progression system could be better, for example. But it's FUN, it feels good and they're going to keep improving it. Historical accuracy? In a game series where a syringe cures all bullet wounds? It's a video game not a documentary, get a grip!    … Expand

    This game is genuinely the best Battlefield game I've played. It feels great, guns are fun, classes are fun, tanks aren't stupidly hard to kill, snipers can be dealt with - they have really improved pretty much every thing that was un-fun in previous Battlefields.
    This "SJW" nonsense needs to stop, an unfortunately very vocal minority that need to go back to the dank caves they crawled out of.

    Overall the game is realy fun and makes important changes to spotting. The game does need a few maajor fixes such as being insta killed by an AA gun before you can jump. Dispite the bugs my friends and i are having alot of fun with the game and cant wait for the coming content

I basically bought this to support the "Tides of War Model" of content release, in hopes other similar types of games (COD) would adopt the free post launch content model over season passes.     In many ways, Battlefield V feels like a big step backwards for the franchise. The campaign is boring and frustrating, multiplayer is unbalanced, and bugs keep popping up in every mode to ruin the experience. The fortification system is a good shakeup, but the good it brings is tempered by the cumbersome and murky Grand Operations. With some patches, balance changes and bug squashing, BFV could be a fantastic game, but at the moment, this soldier needs to go back to basic training.
