    Straight trash. Open the EA App. Launch game. Nope! It launches a browser window to their "Battlelog". Click Start Campaign. Initializing...

    After 10 minutes of trying this process over and over and it getting stuck on Initializing, I close everything down and do it again. Error! Check your game installation!

    I uninstalled without issue.

    This should have been a $15 DLC addon for Battlefield 4 at best. Don't waste your money. Luckily I received a review copy for free, even though I played the beta (also last years "beta") and knew how much of a rip off it was.

    This game is the worst edition in the series. It feels bland + the storyline and characters just did not grab me. The gameplay felt stiff and because of that I had a hard time just completing the campaign. Skip this one.

    I tried to keep playing but after several hours looks boring nothing special comparing to previous one the old battlefield were really awesome this one is sucks

    An absolute disgrace. I purchased multiple Battlefield games including Hardline for my xbox 360 and I have so many regrets. A waste of my money. What Battlefield Hardline requires is totally unrealistic and inconvenient. I attempted to install Hardline and was told I needed a hard drive as well as 3.5 GB. So me being my gullible idiotic self went out and bought a $100 hard drive only toAn absolute disgrace.     For a game that gets the name of BATTLEFIELD was a real disaster, very weak history, and online mode is very bad and full of bugs. Really a shot in the foot by EA.

    Question solo du Battletron annuel, c'est Visceral qui s'y colle avec une orientation flicarde qui a au moins le mérite de varier par rapport à la sempiternelle zone de guerre -gros couloir de guerre pardon- une orientation très scriptée comme de coutume et très dirigiste. Si dans l'absolu, la jouabilité et la maniabilité ne posent pas de problème, elles s'avèrent vieillotes et quelque peu dépassées lorsqu'on les compare à un Halo 4/5 ou un Far Cry 3. Pour une franchise spécialisée dans le "FPS", cela commence à faire désordre après toutes ces années.

    Ce qui n'empêche pas une réalisation -comme à leur habitude- impressionnante que ce soit en solo ou multi, gâchée cependant par la résolution faiblarde (720p !) raison et conséquence d'un crénelage assez sensible. Toutefois, l'ensemble restant à 60 im/s malgré de rares ralentissements, on peut s'estimer "satisfait". Ambiance sonore excellente et voix françaises impeccables.

    Toujours dans un souci de se diversifier, ce Battleprout introduit quelques mécaniques de furtivité qui ne fonctionnent pas : Visceral totalement novice dans ce domaine devrait demander quelques conseils à Ubisoft ou Bethesda. Un coup dans l'eau donc.

    Battlemerde reste ainsi fidèle à lui-même et -toujours- enlisé dans le marasme de sa médiocrité crasse qui se révèle d'année en année de plus en plus... irrécupérable.    … Expand

    The story mode is boring, there are too many cutscenes and everything is pre-sripted. But who cares, the online mode is what it's all about right?

    Well the maps are too small, you respawn often next to an enemy to be killed again before you can do anything, there is no clarity in where you are supposed to go.     Newbies haven't got a chance against high rank players coz they have weapons that suck and die much faster. The maps are very confusing, most of the times you can't see who is friendly or enemy, and you don't even know who killed you and where they are.

    The idea of cops and robbers is very interesting but I didn't really feel like a cop in this game, it's just a COD style FPS without any brains and no own personality.    … Expand

    Horrible in all respects. This game is probably the WORST I have ever played in the first person FPS genre.The car handling is pathetic and the fps scenes weak and contrived.

    Its inconceivable how far the gaming industry in general has fallen and this monstrosity is for me a metaphor for everything thats wrong with modern (read bad) game design.

    My advice avoid like the plague.

The multiplayer is meh for battlefield standards and doesn't feel like it lives up to the franchise name in general. I got bored after 10 hours, and felt unsatisfied in the end. That's why this game is getting a 4, not the singleplayer. Every battlefield game beyond Bad Company 2 has had a crappy singleplayer, so it's not like I was expecting anything amazing (It's actually dog **** As someone who has fully played this game for about 15 hours in total, I can truly state that this game is not worth your money and should just be ignored.… Expand

    dear Visceral Games. When you make a game please think to the players. No bugs and skip the cutscene are basics. Your story sucks, the graphics are hideous, and there glitch everywhere. Dear Visceral Games: do antoher job.

    OK, I can't believe how much this sucks. I can't get past "Stop the Bleeding" in the first episode because the bullet doesn't go anywhere near where the sights are pointing. Even if I don't use the right mouse button (yes, this is on the PC), it only goes near the very large plus sign about half the time. In the earlier parts of the first episode, I was 3 feet away from some goon shootingOK, I can't believe how much this sucks.     From what I understand, this is a shooting game. If you can't shoot, it doesn't matter how the story goes.
    And did you notice that there is no training episode? There is no shooting range. You can't try out the gear. From what I understand, training is a very important part of being a police officer, and knowing your weapons and tools is a life saver.
    Thumbs down! Can't believe this thing got through QA.
    BTW, I'm still trying to get my money back from Origin. Can't believe that there isn't a button somewhere that says, "Delete this game and give me my money back."    … Expand

    I own this game and I wish I didnt. I made the mistake of buying the season pass as well before actually playing the released game. Just dont, I know youre thinking maybe you can get some fun out of this but you really cant. Theres not much to unlock and what you can unlock will be about 1-2 guns per class.

Maybe I should just quit the fps genre. The best so far is Wolfenstein The New Order, and the Old Blood was decent. The FMVs in BHL are gorgeous, however the in game looks like a first gen PS3. The shooting is sometimes a welcome break from stealth, but it feels soul less and boring compared to others in the franchise.It's strange, the other games are highly regarded, I can't help feel that this game was made by a bunch of kids on work experience. It's such poor quality, for a big budget AAA title. I would go as far to say I hated this experience, I only felt compelled to play it through because I spent £10 on the damn thing. So many cliché's and outrageous scenarios like it was blessed by Michael Bay. (Keep in mind this is supposed to be a cop game) For example, you get into a damaged AC-130, shoot helicopters out of the air with the cannon inside of the AC-130, then jump into a tankComplete reskin of bf4. (Keep in mind this is supposed to be a cop game) For example, you get into a damaged AC-130, shoot helicopters out of the air with the cannon inside of the AC-130, then jump into a tank and have a tank battle against another tank who's A.I is downright braindead, jump out of a skyscraper while hanging from a rope that is attached to a helicopter ( who is flying directly into a firework display) you fall to which should be your certain death and the helicopter crashes into the ground in front of you. This is not Call Of Duty, it should not feel like I'm playing it. None of these scenarios should even be in this game considering you are a cop.

    Now onto the multiplayer; it has a variety of maps and locations, but that's where the positives start and end. No more levelution (besides a sandstorm and a crane) no destruction of buildings, 4 guns per class, per faction (cops or criminals) and a stupid way of using a cop gun as a criminal or vice versa. In order to do this you have to get 2,500 kills with the weapon. It has bad character models with cookie cutter criminal voice acting and models. Compare this game and all of the content to Battlefield 4 and you will see that this is just a shell of a game, built to cash in on the Battlefield name, and to put icing on the cake, create another platform to sell mindless drones Battlepacks.

    Final Verdicts:
    Graphics: 5/10 for consoles, runs at 720p on xb1 and 920p on ps4. Why?
    Voice Acting: 9/10 Clichés aside, the voice acting is very well done
    Multiplayer: 4/10 It is a shell of what Battlefield is supposed to be. There is no content, less than 50% of the content in Battlefield 4.
    Value: Definitely not worth $60 or even $50. Its pushing its worth at $40.    … Expand

    Well done EA, once again you manage to prove yourselves as soulless money grabbing shysters that churn out old sh*t in a new box for the same price.

    I hope you are voted worst company again, because this and battlefront are just a joke.

    Was the most boring battlefield game to date, and the most boring campaign I've played. I'm glad I only got it for $25 but still a waste of money. Should've been a DLC and that's that.

    This game does not feel like a Battlefield game. It feels like one of the many games that have come out through the years claiming to be the COD/Battlefield killer and always ending up falling short. This game fell short. The shooting mechanic cant compare to battlefield 4 and all other battlefields. Its terrible. Want to die in what seems like 1 second in gunfights? This is your game

    This game is awful. Campers are the most plentiful out of any type of players, and way to many people play recon. The game is extremely difficult for new players due to people on the edges of the map picking off other players. The body hits with snipers are never a one shot kill unless the player has already lost health. Now would be the worst time to join due to the fact that no one playsThis game is awful.     its a waist of money, stick with BF4. The new approach of the game seemed good but they didn't maximize the possibility which good games do, but look at least the game has a fun new way of BF.

    I will start right from the beginning. It doesn't deserve the Battlefield Name. It is a piece of **** It isn't worth the money. Go play BF4. It is much better but what ever you do. Do not buy this game. Please.

    It has a generic cliched campaign.Disappointing multiplayer. Repetitive gameplay. Lame characters and bland humor.And just boring so much.Battlefield is not worth spending your money on.

    The game is still buggy with no actions taken from EA to fix it. I have opened three tickets and they keep closing the tickets without any resolution. it has been over six months since release, and no fixes are provided yet for the same issues that existed in Battlefield 4.     I wanted to like this game, logged well over 40 hours. Found it boring and lacking. Wasnt a fan of the graphics and the cops and robbers theme was cheesy in my opinion. It felt recycled.
