    Boring moba dependent shooter with vomit inducing visuals. Unfunny humor, forgettable characters, and lackluster content. This is just my opinion but this game is everything I despise. Lackluster campaign. Imbalanced PvP. Weak character designs.     I never liked this kind of aesthetics for games. Too infantile for my taste. Don't like the graphics nor the world it's set in. But I can understand that there is people how might like this kind of stuff.

The graphics are outdated, the art direction is ugly and obnoxious, the gameplay is messy and unfocused, and the story and characters are annoying due to bad writing, terrible dialogue, and miserable voice acting. If you were a fan of Gearbox's Borderlands, this won't satisfy you. This feels like a low budget mash up of genres like MOBA and tower defense. It'sThis is a very lousy game.     AWFUL where to start from the ugly cartoony art style and animations or the extremely shallow and repetitive gameplay. It is 2016 and they use cartoon animations from 2004 when World of Warcraft was released for god sakes it's like watching an old PIXAR movie what is this ugly cr@p !!!     This game is pretty terrible, TBH. I also think coming out at the same time as something as fluid and clean and fun as Overwatch isn't going to do it any favors. It's bland, it's clunky, and it's just overall not that interesting. Save your money, get Overwatch. The beta has me sold.

    Take a MOBA, make it first-person and give it PS2 graphics and BAM! You have battleborn. But the main issue with this game is the majority of characters being locked.That's right, you have to play the game for hundreds of hours to unlock characters and the ones that take the longest to unlock are a lot stronger than the initial characters. So really you play to win.

    This game would have been a lot better if it had been borderlands 3. Too much pvp not enough ANYTHING ELSE. Mobas need to go away or at least have a decent amount of solo play and story.

    This game is dead, don't even bother picking it up. You won't find anyone playing this boring crap online. It's sad when see the fanboys defending this game. Some of the fanboys are trying so hard to get more people to buy this game. Don't buy it, you're going to waste your money if you do.

    The game is unfinished and rushed. Another overpriced garbage from 2k(Evolve) and Gearbox(Aliens). I bought the game because Borderlands is one of my favorite game of all time. I expected the same kind of quality and devotion to making a good game but I was wrong. The game only has 3 modes with 2 maps... Every single game mode there's only 1 map voted to play. I bought the game because Borderlands is one of my favorite game of all time. I expected the same kind of quality and devotion to making a good game but I was wrong. Defend vs waves until a boss apears... The worst part is you will fight the same boss 4 times even if there's only 8 missions who take about 40 minutes max to complete your first time... The game has almost no content at all. This is supposed to be an online Hero shooter. Having only 6 maps(which only 3 are EVER played) is unnaceptable in a full priced AAA game. This game is worth 40$ at best not 80$. This game is exactly like Evolve all over again. The game has great potential but the greedy developpers and/or publishers decided to release the game with such a minimal amount of content anyone who plays for more than a week will be bored. This is 2k Games greediness like Evolve all over again. Please don't support the greedy people at 2k Games and Gearbox Software. They have a history of doing this. Wait until the game is 50% off in a couple of months and hope the community isn't dead. It probably will be in a month...… Expand

    I'm using an r9 280x and the frame rate is abysmal. I'm not gonna wait for any fix nor am I gonna change any .ini there is absolutely no excuse for any game to be severely unoptimized.

    Battleborn is a game you shouldn't buy if you dislike mobas, if you dislike borderlands humor, or if you don't have a group of friends to play with. I had a group of friends but this game is just boring. Overwatch plays better, runs better, and is the same price. Avoid.

    It tries to be more than that, but at least for me it fails to deliver it.

    And its more expensive than overwatch as well, rs.

    30 fps crappy looking version of mediocre pc game. ½fps = ½points as this is moba and requires quick reflexes and aiming. Also costs twice as much on ps4, you can get it under 30$ on pc.

    Jumping around and shooting randomly in the hopes of hitting something is the overall premise of this game. You do not need to be good cause there is no strategy, tactic or teamwork required. You go out, shoot, get killed. And you respawn and start over. That's it. Over and over. Everything is a mess. Sometimes I won't even know how I end up being best player or or close.     The graphics looks like PS3 but I suppose it could be the art style they're going for.... Not terrible but I cannot say the game has good graphics. You will get a headache after 15 minutes because you will be seeing bright colours flashing everywhere, numbers, particles all over, explosions, lasers, players jumping up and down..... it's all random and you won't know what's going on half the time.

    This is a game that feels new in the first match, and anything after you will feel the repetition. There is a wide range of characters with wacky design. There's this one penguin operating a mech. Lol. So some props shall be given to the character design. But what is the point of designing your characters when you are fixed to first person?? This game would work so much better if it was third person. Trust me.

    So all in all, this game isn't fun. It's overly repetitive. No idea how people are giving it 10 out of 10. There is no honesty. Please I implore you to watch Youtube gameplay vids before going ahead and buying this. Don't just look at scores. I returned this game in 2 days. FAIL!    … Expand

    I really have to question 2K Games on this one. They really ditched the more mature art styling of Borderlands to give us some pretty underwhelming, uninspired characters. For months they have tried using social media to align the two universes and nothing is really working.     The other massive oversight is a little game called Overwatch coming out merely a few weeks from now. Based on all initial impressions Overwatch is what I want in a MOBA-FPS hybrid. Battleborn will find its blind fanboy base that plays it from now until Borderlands 3, but Overwatch is going to take the competitive market, we will be watching televised Overwatch matches on Twitch just like Heroes of the Storm.

    Overwatch represents everything Blizzard does well with competitive online multiplayer. Hopefully Y2k learns something from Battleborn to make Borderlands 3 better, otherwise I chalk this one up as a lemon.    … Expand

    I really did not like this game. It is boring at some point of the history and the online mode is not too good. It has pretty graphics and many characters to play, but I got bored playing it.

    This game was totally boring in my opinion! I got bored on the game in less than 2 hours. The creator of borderlands really took a huge step back with this one... though I can see why this game could be fun for some people, but it is not for me.

    Boa ideia, péssima execução. A gearbox se esforçou ao máximo para o fracasso jogo, foi lançado sem hype, massacrado pelo lançamento do overwatch e ainda com um péssimo suporte. O jogo hoje está totalmente desbalanceado, o único modo de jogo que é divertido é o incursão, que por ser aleatório há muitas chances de você não conseguir jogar nele, a Gearbox anunciou a um tempo atrás que nãoBoa ideia, péssima execução. A gearbox se esforçou ao máximo para o fracasso jogo, foi lançado sem hype, massacrado pelo lançamento do overwatch e ainda com um péssimo suporte.     The premise was good, Moba arena fights for competitive play and a campaign mode to give lore and structure to the game without needing a bunch of out-of-game sources like Overwatch. That and it had a lot of my favorite anime VA's. Ultimately the game failed to the extensive character unlock process and loot box mechanics.     Ultimately the game failed to the extensive character unlock process and loot box mechanics. As of Feb 2020 you can no longer buy currency for loot boxes and at the end of the year the game will shut down. Since the game, even in single player campaign rely's on connecting to 2K's server the game will be completely unplayable, even if you own a physical copy of the game. I feel for people that spent good money and love this game to have it all ripped from them unceremoniously.    … Expand

    We wish the story had a stronger narrative, the online restrictions weren’t so frustrating, and the humor had more variety. But the diversity in everyone’s abilities and playstyles should be enough to keep the light of this last star shining for dedicated Gearbox fans.
