Aug 2, 2016Batman has had many games over the years, mostly trash and a few quite memorable. Telltale Games has knocked it out of the park, and if episode one is any indication, I see a solid contender for Game of the Year right here.
-
Aug 8, 2016The game that finally convinced me to get a Telltale account.
-
Aug 6, 2016The Bruce Wayne sections help develop the plot and present the player with dialogue choices that will pull their allegiance in one way or another. While the Batman sequences truly typify the character, highlighting both his skills as a detective and a tactician.
-
Aug 10, 2016Telltale’s take on the Caped Crusader has a confident storyline that captures the essence of the iconic world well, and establishes an intriguing tale for future installments to expand upon.
-
Aug 18, 2016An adventure game centered on the narrative with an interesting plot that is faithful to the spirit of Batman. A game that allows us to better know Bruce Wayne in his role of night watchman and member of high society.
-
Aug 4, 2016Telltale’s take on Batman is fresh, and shows a side of Bruce Wayne most games shy away from, and that’s enough to make it interesting as we head into the rest of the season.
-
Aug 4, 2016An awesome start to what I hope is a fantastic series.
-
Aug 4, 2016The new episodic adventure from Telltale offers some welcome (some might say necessary) changes to the gameplay, and a revamped graphics engine (unfortunately not a new one). At its core, the “Telltale formula” still works well, and the choices we make during the game create a real and meaningful connection with the characters. The story is the best part, though, and it could really be a game changer for the Caped Crusader.
-
Aug 4, 2016The first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series is a little bit slow, but it tells a great story with a lot of potential. The inspiration of the comics in this new game makes it a must have for all Batman fans.
-
Aug 3, 2016Judging by its first episode, Batman: The Telltale Series offers a fresh new take on Batman video games. Having to navigate political waters as Bruce Wayne is as much (if not more) fun as busting criminal scum heads as Batman. Let's hope that the plot will get even more interesting as the story progresses.

Sep 25, 2016While I can’t say much about Batman as a series yet, what I can say is that I enjoyed my two hours as both Bruce and Batman. It’s a solid beginning for the caped crusader.
-
Aug 21, 2016Telltale more than anything manages to capture what it's like to be Bruce Wayne. It does an admirable attempt at capturing what it's like to be Batman too, but ultimately falls a bit short due to the limitations of the chosen format.
-
Aug 18, 2016Episode 1 of the game series did what it had to do. We only want more of this game. Telltale needs to focus there aim towards the narrative aspect of the game. If they do the game will be even better.
-
Aug 4, 2016Batman: The Telltale Series is off to a strong, if very basic, start. It shows promise of the ability to be more than just another Batman story, though Realm of Shadows did dabble in the ultra accessible exposition more than I (or just about any other Batman fan) would have liked.
-
Aug 3, 2016Batman: The Telltale Series has everything you would expect from Telltale: an engaging plot, important choices and a ton of dialogues, but we want to see more of the new gadgets and the link mechanic in the next episode.
-
Aug 3, 2016Telltale has done a good job with Batman, but it failed to surprise us. We have a solid foundation, but they need to work harder to make it something as good as you would expect from this studio and the Dark Knight.
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKSep 26, 2016A promising, if not stellar start. It may be wise to see if the rest of the season soars before putting your faith in this particular version of the Caped Crusader. [Oct 2016, p.95]
-
Aug 5, 2016A steadfastly solid start to Batman’s Telltale series, but Bruce Wayne isn’t the only one with demons to overcome. Some poor writing and acting, plus the usual slowdown and engine troubles means that this isn’t a peak performance for the developer or the character, even if it does set up the rest of the series nicely.
-
Aug 3, 2016This is a Batman game where it's kind of more fun when you're not Batman.
-
Edge MagazineSep 27, 2016An apparently new and improved game engine is anything but, with regular framerate drops on PS4, bizarrely stilted animations, and sound effects cutting out entirely during action sequences further deadening the impact of already sloppily edited fight scenes. [Nov 2016, p.121]
-
Aug 3, 2016When it's obsessing over the broken politics of Gotham, this alternate take on DC's most famous franchise promises plenty – but lacklustre heroics and writing inconsistencies really drag it down.
-
Aug 2, 2016A disappointing start to what should be a potential rich concept, with an overfamiliar storyline and bland presentation.
