   Great follow up to the amazing first game. To return to this world and truly deal with your consequences is just amzaaing. HIgh praise.

I also loved that there were so many different villains and characters in the game ( much like Infinity Wars ), lots of depth and a worthwhile feeling while playing knowing there isn't a dozen other batman tell-tales coming, all with only one villain to feature. This one is definitely a rent, a buy for hardcore Batman fans, and a pass for anyone who doesn't like easy gameplay and a good story.… Expand

   I found this to have a strong plot. One of the best for a non-TWD telltale game. This was far better than season 1. I recommend playing this.

   This is a game that I am personally torn on. I enjoyed the story but it was very predictable. I can’t help but compare this season to theThis is a game that I am personally torn on. I enjoyed the story but it was very predictable. I can’t help but compare this season to the first season of Batman and the biggest difference between season 1 and season 2 is season 1 was built around the question of how brutal are you willing to be as Batman. You had some choice in what kind of a Batman you wanted to be and I liked that personally, at the end of the game it told you how brutal or how merciful you were. If I remember correctly I was somewhere in mid 90’s of being a merciful Batman. Enough about season 1, season 2 (The Enemy Within) is all about maintaining relationships which on its surface sounds interesting but everything ended up being boiled down to make a decision and one person will be happy by it and another person will be unhappy with it. Most decisions end up feeling black and white.

   The strength of the game is the story, as I mentioned before it is a little predictable and I was kind of wishing they would have gone a little bolder, take some risks like they did with season 1. It is a fun Batman story but comparing it to season 1, its a weaker Batman story.
   
   Favorite Character
   
   The best part of these Telltale Batman games is, they’re more focused on Bruce Wayne than they are Batman and I like that. Bruce Wayne himself is an interesting character that is rarely explored because it’s less exciting. Look at the Arkham games, those are 100% Batman games where this game is probably 60% Bruce Wayne which I am a very big fan of.
   
   Puzzles
   
   Yes, Telltale goes back to their roots a little bit and this game does have some interesting puzzles. The downside is, most of the puzzles are in the first couple of episodes and then after that, the game has a major tonal shift.
   
   Gameplay
   
   If you’ve never played a Telltale game its a pretty simple formula. It’s like sitting down and playing an interactive movie. Most conversations you can chose what the character will say next.
   
   Sometimes you get to chose what the character is going to do next. 2 situations arise in the city, obviously you can only take care of one. You chose what fire you will be putting out so to speak.
   
   The final major game mechanic of the game is the combat itself. It’s serviceable but not very exciting. It’s done through button prompts and quick time events. It looks cinematic but it’s not the most exciting to do yourself.
   
   Bosses
   
   Kind of sorta. There are kind of bosses but a game like this isn’t built for bosses. It’s more about the story. Narratively there are some major figures but there are traditional boss battles.
   
   Music/Sound Design/Voice Acting
   
   Another major strength of this game is the voice acting. For a game like this to work, the voice acting has to be great and it is. I have no complaints and all of the voice actors did a phenomenal job.

   I didn’t mention this anywhere in the review but there are no mechanical issues. I think that’s a first for Telltale. The game ran flawlessly. I was shocked, no frame rate issues. It didn’t crash.

   Batman: The Enemy Within

   Batman The Enemy Within is a 9 and a half hour long choose your own adventure telltale game that takes place across 5 episodes.
   This is a direct sequel to season 1 and the choices you make there will carry over here, so obviously for the best experience you should play that one first… it’s a much better game anyway…
   A lot of things were carried over from season 1, but a lot of the good was just thrown aside…
   I felt that season 1 had a nice balance of batman and Bruce Wayne... here in the enemy within the story is very Bruce Wayne heavy..
   So there are no moments of planning and executing like in season one which was probably my favorite part... there is only 1 moment of linking items to events, and there is little to no detective work…
   this season is very lazy feeling compared to the first though it does run miles better, for the first time in telltale history I ran into 0 hiccups..
   This time it’s a bunch of quick time events with great fighting scenes and dialog choices... this is clearly the final season telltale will be doing with batman so they attempt to go out with a bang and throw as many villains in here as possible..
   This is very suicide squad feeling…
   and you as Bruce Wayne goes undercover and joins them... this leads to tons of dilemma as the story plays out while you try to protect your code and come off as a bad guy at the same time...
   I felt the internal struggle… so the story telling here is actually pretty great... full of twists and turns and dilemmas…
   Though I feel like episode 1 and 5 were the only really great moments for the story.. The middle 3 with the whole suicide squad thing going on is just a little too shallow for me... there are interesting characters that you don’t get to spend enough time with.. they just feel a bit wasted… thinking back it’s hard to even remember what happened in those episodes…
   Batman The enemy Within is a really solid and good telltale game..
   It makes you stop and think… its constantly surprising you… all its missing is emotion and connection to its characters…
   I found myself only really connected to the characters from the first season and that’s only because of how great that season did with character development... it carried over to this one..
   If you hop in here by the end you’ll feel a connection to no one…
   Your enjoyment of this season really does rely on you having played through season 1…
   I give Batman: The Enemy Within
   a 7/10… Expand

   Got mixed feelings about this game.
   
   On the plus side, it's faster-paced than the original. No more too long conversations at the cafe or inGot mixed feelings about this game.
   
   On the plus side, it's faster-paced than the original. No more too long conversations at the cafe or in Wayne Enterprises. However, the original did a better job of juggling the characters and storylines. Here, there is too much going on and too many characters. A character or story element will be gone too long and forgotten.
   
   Like the first game, the story tries some radical changes from the original Batman mythos, and like the first game I admire them for trying something different, but feel they stray too far at points. This game focuses a lot more on Bruce Wayne the person, which I felt was done pretty well, but was disappointed that you couldn't be Batman that often.
   
   As for the story options in this, a lot of the choices rely on moral ambiguity. Unfortunately, they do this too often and it gets old after a while. The game also relies way too often on choices that please one character and upset the other. I really liked what they did in chapter five. Most games of this type have divergent pathways but still follow a general storyline. Here, the entire story has two completely different storylines it can go based on your actions.
   
   The cell-shaded computer animation looks great. The developers seemed to have learned their lesson from the first game and they're no new characters with unusually thick necks. The voice acting cast do a great job. Lastly, the action sequences all impress.
   
   As much as I've discussed this game's weaknesses, I'd still probably get the next one that they will probably make. The game's not perfect, but it's... Well, I guess "interesting" is as good a word as any..… Expand

I only paid $5 for this and the 1st game and still feel I was ripped off. If you haven't been duped by now, don't buy this at any cost.… Expand
