If you've played these games already, then there's no point of buying them again, they don't even look better (except for 1080p 30 fps - why not 60, by the way?)

If you've never played any game of the collection, then buy it. They're really good. Though I'd wait for it to drop to 30 bucks or so.

Also, I think the lizard aliens at Ubisoft ate their last remaining human employee because they don't seem to understand how human faces work. After Unity I thought it was just an anomaly but now I can see it's starting to become a trend. Despite Assassin's Creed II being the best game in the series bar-none, it doesn't escape this sketchy remaster's myriad of issues. The game is streamlined and focused enough to escape most of the trouble, but Brotherhood and Revelations suffer from game-breaking issues such as missions being broken and unable to be completed, weapons failing to work properly, the camera refusing to cooperate, animations locking up, and the game occasionally just straight-up crashing. If you already played the originals, there's no reason to get this version. You won't even be able to tell the differences between resolutions unless you got a side-by-side comparison or when the faces inevitably break. Expand

The story is decent but the controls are some of the worst in any game I've ever played. It's particularly painful after playing AC Origins. Your character keeps constantly clinging onto surfaces you don't want to grab, and jumping in directions you don't want to jump. It's infuriating!

Ubisoft could have fixed the godawful controls and release an improved version of the trilogy, but

Ubisoft could have fixed the godawful controls and release an improved version of the trilogy, but instead they just dumped the games on one disc and called it a day. If you're new to the series like me and you want to experience the story from the beginning, be aware that it's going to be very unpleasant.

Expand

Though the games are outdated nowadays, they're still fairly good experiences. The only game out of the trilogy that received a remaster is AC2. Brotherhood became even worse with its yellow tint, and Revelations has next to no difference.
If you're new to the series and want to see the story from the beginning, buy it. If you already played the originals, there's no point.

they're all solid remasters, complete with their own trophy list, I don't think I would recommend the collection to someone who has already played all of them before, though

My favorite games in the franchise are in this trilogy. Ezio's story is very good, however, the gameplay is very outdated, it was extremely annoying to play Assassin's Creed 2 again, so annoying that I gave up playing Brotherhood and Revelations.

This is a convenient way to go back and play some of the older Assassin's Creed games. Ubisoft unfortunately milked this character and storyline too long to the point I just wanted it to end. The gameplay in Brotherhood was the best of the 3 by far. AC2 did not age nearly as well, and is somewhat painful to get through. If you can pick this up cheap enough it is worth it for Brotherhood alone.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this was the start of my love hate realtionship with this franchise. I can really appreciate these first 3 games for being better than their sequels with the exception of AC Black Flag which is my favourite AC game. Ezio is a charming protagonist and the setting of these 3 games is quite nice. mission repetiveness is a common problem and i hate how stupid the AI is in these ubisoft games
speaking of ubisoft UPLAY is just stupid i hate it.
its a common ubisoft game but i do love these games for just casual gaming brainless action and the modern story plot is seriously stupid
average gameplay story fails to make me feel engaged character models are sometimes revolting and disgusting to look at.
alright 3 games but not impressive or groundbreaking in anyway

Good collection just feels outdated with todays modern gaming. The climbing mechanics is what really bother me most of the time and the combat (especially with Brotherhood) felt so off. Graphics wise it’s good for a remaster and of course the voice acting story telling are top notch. Great collection to revisit the glory days of Ubisoft and assassins creed.

Buy this for the best hero and plot of the series, and insane hours-for-dollars value. [January 2016, p81]

At the cost of a full retail release you will receive three of the strongest Assassin’s Creed titles + DLC + bonus content. Fan of the franchise or not Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection is certainly worthy of a spot in any gamer’s library.

Having the ability to play arguably three of the best games in the Assassin’s Creed universe on a current generation console is brilliant, although don’t expect much of a significant impact in terms of upgrades for gameplay or visuals. Improved upon? Yes. Reinvented and completely remastered? Not really. Still worth the money, though.
