This game is absolute GARBAGE! The storyline is the most boring and sleep inducing. Melee mechanics are horrible. And the game is LOADED with cheat mechanics. Ubisoft is run by greedy cheating ChUnts!

Stunning visuals but other than that, it's Assassin's Creed and doesn't fail to stick to their canon mechanics - stupid plot, mindlesss gameplay and bugs galore.

I do not like the RPG-styled gameplay that ubisoft added to the game. You will spend a lot of time searching for clues and items in missions and the stealth-missions is very hard because Bayek is very bad at using stealth. The story is pretty important because it is Bayek who formed the assassin brotherhood even though he is very bad at being an assassin.

Very boring. I don't recommend this game. Side missions are forced in order to level up and remain effective against enemies. Rinse and repeat missions are everywhere. I don't like the movement in this game. I liked AC Unity's movement system slot more. The movement in this game feels more cartoonish.

    (Graphics)
The graphics are outstanding, beautiful and it makes Egypt the way we want to see
    (Story)
The story is decent and common, we know this kind of stuff from the movies and even in the books
    (Slow rendering/loading)
There are some times that it might take a while to load/render, especially when you're with Senu and you will go back to play with Bayek, it took like 5 or 10 seconds I guess to play back with him and the loading times are just so slow. A lot of loading times also which can lead to a boring moment because you are stuck there waiting and some of the graphics are also taking time to load
    (NPC)
NPC are dumb, not really, but some AI of the NPC are not just really that good
    (Horse auto-pilot)
We know those feature where can hold the button to auto-pilot the horse, within that, it's also bad, it will lead to smashing other NPC's and animals, and also, those NPC's and animals, are also not that good AI's, they won't dodge or move out of the way, they wait if the horse will try to ram them and within that, that's the time they will move out of the way
    (Audio)
NPC's voice line audio is very bad, even if I am not near at the talking NPC, the thing is, it is still loud and I know that they have this weird reverb on them and it's very bad audio
    (FPS drop)
Some places can cause some serious FPS drop
    (Glitch)
    Glitchy game, some

Assassin's Creed Origins is very fun to play, slow loading times, slow rendering times, bad audio, NPC's AI that aren't that good, etc. It just makes the game *I don't know what's going on* but the game is still playable

The game has decent graphics with great world design and a meh story... but the reason i rated it so low is because of several reasons. 1) the boring side quests, these really made me think twice of the reason why i even bought this game, with the game just forcing me to play several hour long side quests after every main quest, its almost as if the game didnt care about my time. 2) THE GAMEPLAY IS JUST PLAIN BORING! the gameplay makes me fell bored more than it makes me feel like an assassin Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you started the series with either Odyssey or Valhalla like I did, don't bother with this one. I'm not sure what everyone else is seeing but Bayek is incredibly unlikable, with little motivation. I sorry yes he has motivation at the beginning of the game where his son is killed and imediately kills the killer. He then makes a ridiculous vow to kill anyone who was in the city that day. His wife leaves and becomes a pirate and hired killer for the government. She finds out Bayek his backend continues to manipulate him into killing more people for political gain while saying it's for their son. The game forces things to happen even if it makes no sense to your gameplay. In a sauna I kill a guy with an axe and walk away, as I wear the exit an unsuitable cutscene where I try to drown the guy an I accidentally cut off my finger for no reason. Long story short, if you have not played this game before you are lucky. Odyssey and Valhalla are much better. Expand

There are no tactics, there is no stealth. You just have to put on better armor and hit the enemy in a slasher manner.

It's a bad slasher game because it's not epic as great slasher should be. It's a bad Assassin's Creed game because it's not Assassin's Creed game.

It feels like ubisoft decided to abandon what Assassins Creed is, and make an RPG Witcher clone and call it assassins creed. Controls and combat completely changed (not for the better), grindy rpg-like foot-mounted combat with no counter-attack, and horse-mounted combat, a complete de-emphasis on stealth, no more sprint. Assassinate button doesn't always assassinate.
And new quest system with the need to hunt out quests, 183 quests, all repetitive, shallow and boring. Escort and carry, rinse and repeat.
And then parts feel like farcry with its controllable eagle which can tag enemies (right out of Primal), and ability to hunt wild animals, free them to attack enemies or tame them. As are the new swimming and diving mechanics.
Quests are unbelievably repetitive and boring. Just dull, uninspired, and arbitrary, the narrative is just stretched so thinly. Ubisoft has completely ditched any fun or humor from the series.
And the most rpg-like part, leveling up. So much leveling up. Far too much. Much more than Syndicate, and Syndicate had too much already. Instead of 10 levels, now fifty. So much griding.
From hundreds of weapons to enemies levels (which syndicate started). Why so many? why not just a few of each weapon and upgrade them? You already have the ability to upgrade the weapons so why have hundreds of weapons? There's no point other than wanting people to spend money on buying them all. All these levels also means the option to 'assassinate' doesn't actually assassinate. When you sneak up to an enemy and see the assassinate option, if they're higher level than you, it doesn't assassinate and just takes a chunk of their health. This means they detect you, stand right back up and you have to grind away slashing them.

Honestly, at this point they should rename the series.

I was instantly very sad that eagle vision has changed from a togglable mode to Animus Pulses. And the new button layout means you cannot walk and use eagle eye at the same time. So you basically have to keep spamming eagle eye and you run around now. Which means both hands on the left half of the controller. They could've at least kept eagle eye on L3/R3.

The UI design is horrible. White and yellow on a light background. I don't have color blindness and I was constantly struggling. I feel very sorry for people that struggle differentiating colors. Map indicators are just tiny. No more minimap. The subtitles were unreadable until I discovered that thankfully subtitles can have a background in the options, otherwise they'd be impossible to read.

The game is pretty unstable, even years after release. It crashed within first 15 minutes of playing which wasn't a good sign. Crashed many times throughout the game.
One time I got a bug where the camera would not stop locking to a fixed point across the map. I eventually, i got there and the camera would still just keep locking directly beneath me. I tried to do quests and travel the entire map to get rid of it, even fast travel wouldn't fix. I had to commit suicide to fix.

You can manipulate time, ironic as ac started as a prince of persia game, however, time-shifting seems incredibly pointless.

You control two characters (straight out of syndicate), but this isn't explained to you. Spent hours leveling up Bayek only to find I had to do the final levels as another character that isn't leveled up. ridiculous.

    The positives:
    Far more cinematic than Syndicate.
Music so much better than Syndicate
The setting and atmosphere are great and the world design beautiful.

The most interesting part of game was when I stopped doing quests and started roaming around deserts, getting caught in sandstorms, starting to hallucinate, activating the ancient mechanisms, which were very reminiscent of classic assassins creed vaults, but ultimately felt meaningless.
Also sometimes going back to the present day. Layla is a more interesting protagonist and ability to explore outside animus. But sadly there doesn't seem to be any mystery available there. Her story is incredibly shallow and anti-climactic.

Just so boring, I had to stop playing for a week at a time because the gameplay and quests were just so monotonous. The world was gorgeous, I just wish the game within the world was decent.

After playing Assassin's Creed since the original, I don't think I'll be buying an assassins creed game again.

This game is like a love child between the Witcher 3 and HZD, but it was abandoned because of being hideously deformed. AC picked it up from the side of the street. Cons:
    1) You can’t use the assassination blade, unlike in other games of the sequel. Which prompts the question ‘why not?’

    2) Fighting bosses and some soldiers is unfair so to speak. Once your are hit in a combo move or you are grabbed, there is no escape; which makes gaming experience not enjoyable. 3) Lack of simplicity in UI;

If you die in a gladiator fight, you have to wait until game reloads in a black background, then it takes you to the Gladiator Menu from where you will have to click on the fight again, which will load the game in the dark background again, then you have to wait the animation to pass, then manually ‘walk’ towards the gates, then wait there crowd cheer’ animation to pass and then start the fight again. It begs the question; why not make a ‘retry’ option after each death. 4) Fighting mechanics are not the greatest, after one point it becomes monotonous and you get bored easily. 5) On the horse/camel: you cannot assassinate the horsemen by jumping from your horse to theirs. It’s sad, because it used be a feature in other versions of the game. 6) You cannot sprint on foot or gallop a horse/camel, unlike in other versions. 7) ‘Follow the Road’ feature while on the horse/camel does not work sometimes. Either the game says ‘the follow road unavailable’ after some ride, or it takes you to a completely different location. Also, it has an obsession to use the ‘proper’ roads instead of taking a direct road which might be a timesaver. 8) The storyline is not clear; while playing the game I frequently asked myself ‘where does the game end?’ Sometimes you fall off the storyline, and when you come back you feel the sense of detachment from the game. 9) All in all, the game was not worth of the money and time spent on it. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

The perfect example of how good graphic and an enormous map cannot save you.
The storyline is decent, but it's way too predictable and simple.
The worst thing is this **** GDR system that completely destroy the spirit of the series: the combat system is awful, no way it can be adapted to Assassin's Creed. It's good for games like Dark Souls and GDR like that.

The game is overall pretty good, except for the fact that it is a grind fest! Plot is short and is only artificially lengthened by the grind that is this game. It trys to be like Witcher 3 and fails horrendously. Never buy a Ubisoft game ever, is what I learned from playing this

A Brief, Complex, and Honest Review--

To be completely honest...this game is not that good at all.

First of all, let me say that I am just now playing this game. A full year and a half after it was initially released...yet it is still broken. I have logged around 50 hrs so far and I have experienced 2 complete game freezes for no reason where I hard to do a hard reset of the Xbox and countless glitches/bugs, dropped frame rates, textures popping in and out, and cut scene animation/angle issues. This should not be happening at all a year and a half after the game has been released with several patches and updates having also been released since then as well. Incredibly disappointing from that aspect.

Next, let's move on to the fact that Ubisoft has completely abandoned any attempt to have a coherent and intriguing storyline. Gone are the days of the original AC1 - Revelations games in which they actually cared about a narrative and gave us an interesting story to follow along with well-developed characters to lead said story like Desmond and Lucy. Now they have given us a very confusing, barely coherent, and loosely connected in Animus story that is just terrible, mixed in with a "what is the point of this?" modern day story line with new character Layla Hassan which, again, is terrible.

Then there is the new combat system/style which is just...meh. It's not bad...but it's not great either. Ubisoft is just trying to capitalize on the Dark Souls-esque style of attack, dodge/block/parry, and repeat. It’s just not AC. The worst part for me was that there were several times when I would be travelling from location to location and would be attacked by a group a soldiers/rebels/bandits who would be the same level as me, and yet they wouuld would kill me almost instantly with arrows. I wouldn’t have a chance to try and engage in combat with them or pull out my bow and shoot them. They would ride up on their horses, surround me, shoot me with 4 or 5 arrows and I would be dead within a matter of seconds, no chance of escape. Very frustrating to have happen every other time you are trying to ride to a new location that you can’t fast travel to yet.

Lastly, the time period is just terrible. When you make and promote a game to be set in ancient Egypt, then it should be set in, ya know…ancient Egypt…during the reign of the Pharaohs at the height of Egypt’s empire, dominance, and splendor. Instead what you get is a horribly bastardized Ptolemaic Greco-Roman Egypt that can’t make up it’s mind which it wants to be.

The only positive thing to say about the game are its visuals. It looks absolutely stunning to play it on Xbox One or PS4 with a 4K tv. When it isn’t glitching or crashing on you that is…

In closing, it truly pains me to write such a negative review of this game. I have played every game in the AC series since the first one came out when I was in high school. Some of my most fond gaming memories come from the original 4 or 5 games in the series. Sadly though, like the Egypt portrayed in this game, the height of the dominance, glory, and splendor of the AC empire has long since diminished…

You HAVE to do an unreal amount of side missions to be able to progress the main story thanks to the new leveling system. You also have to keep upgrading your weapons. Even if you are a higher level, lower level weapons wont be good enough. I have tried to progress faster but its impossible. No, you are stuck doing the same side mission over and over and over and over and over and over before you can do ONE main quest. This is the MOST GRINDY AC I have ever played and its the biggest turn off. I am at level 28 but I will not be playing the end as I dont feel like spending 20 more hours running the same side quest before I can do the main.

The combat is ok but if you are up against a heavy hitter that is a couple levels higher than you, one or two hits can mean game over. The fighting mechanics are completely different and I am not a big fan.

Overall, the story is pretty captivating and Aya's ship missions are my favorite. But the EXTREME repetitive nature of the mandatory side missions that take ENTIRELY TOO LONG are the biggest turn off. I will not finish the game and I will have to watch gameplay footage of Odyssey before I begin to contemplate purchasing that one as well.

Ubisoft has taken the word "boring game" to a new level. A beautiful world and a so empty game. Hundrends of quests without meaning, a marker chasing game. Fast pacing crap for kids. You will never learn the very big map cause the game doesn't help you to. Last good assassin's creed was the black flag one. Pass it for your wallet's and time's sake.

Now on to the bad things.... The stealth and combat is THE worst in any game i have played in this series. And i can not understand why people praise it! I usually run away from combat because its so damn boring to play. The missions are tedious and uninteresting, the story doesn't really tell you much of the "origins " of the creed until much, much, much later.
Overall this is a disappointing for me as a Assassins creed fan. And i hope they get back to the old stealth and cool fighting moves like the old games. Unfortunately the upcoming game Odyssey has the same faults it does not look like a assassins creed game at all.

Second, cats. Why are cats killable? More importantly, why do they like to run into danger so much? I honestly try to NOT kill cats but more often than not they run into poison and die. I also don't know why but every time in the past few days I've used poison there have always been cats around. Every. time. and every time they get killed I feel horrible.
Once I was petting a cat and stretched my arms out in real life, causing the attack button to get ever so lightly tapped, causing Bayek to swing his weapon and instantly kill the cat that I was enjoying petting! AND THEN THE GAME YELLED AT ME ABOUT IT! I didn't mean to kill it! I didn't want to kill it and the game just shoves it in your face like it's YOUR fault.
and I don't care if they or anyone doesn't find it disheartening to accidentally kill cats in a video games, I do!

I've brought this up to them and was brushed aside. I am getting sick of being ignored by them and basically being given a pat on the head every time I bring this up. So for now I'm leaving my rating at 1 till this getting fixed. and the ONLY reason I'm giving it a 1 and not 0 is because when I'm not accidentally killing cats this game is fun to play. Despite taking a "year off" from releasing a new Assassin's Creed title, Origins feels half baked. The main story line bored me so completely up until the last two missions, I only returned to the main missions so that I could open up more side missions. This was because, until this point, I felt no drive to find out what happened next in the main story arc of the game. It was terrible at letting me feel like I was making progress towards the end villain, the person that had set this all in motion, despite that being the task the game had set for us from the start. It only handed to us the "small fry" like bait, trying to get the player hooked without giving them everything - not just yet.

While it was nice to see a change from the standard Assassin's Creed combat of Just Stand There and Counter Everyone, there is still work needed to be done on this, especially when it comes to the soft-target-lock-on system, which seemed to forever have me targeting enemies that I simply could not reach, while refusing to hit enemies that were standing right in front of me or ever so slightly to my left.

And let me not forget the massive waste of time, for both me playing the game and surely for the developers who worked on it, the "real world" moments. Where it could have been interesting to see a fresh take on this now that this series is no longer Desmond Creed, these sections were little more than a distraction and a convenient place to take a break from playing.

Overall, despite some improvements on old features that were in desperate need of fixing, and some minor slimming down of game play content that wasn't interesting or way too time consuming, I am disappointed in this game. I've enjoyed the Assassin's Creed series since the first time I played the original, and I had hoped that it would make a return from its slump with this title, this is not the case. I can only hope that it tries to get better again (maybe in another two years time?) or Ubisoft lets the series go before it's too late.

Also, there are Loot Boxes and Mircotrasactions in this game - a game that had multiple release editions, and has a Session Pass, and DLC. They aren't in your face, but they are there. Just so you know.

There's a game concept that's free-to-play on mobile platforms: "If you wanna get somewhere in a reasonable amount of time, pay up! If you don't, feel free to play our game, but be prepared for countless hours of grinding."

Ubisoft decided to take this approach with ACO - a full-price title! Am I wrong in thinking I have the right to be spared this unethical behavior after having shelled out over € 60? This is at eye level with Star Wars Battlefront II.

And they don't even bother to mask this approach. You have this gigantic open world, but every guard, every bandit, every animal is leveled, and if their level exceeds yours, it's certain death for you. Doesn't matter how good you are, they will kill you because their level says so. So in this open world sandbox you have to do what completely goes against open world sandboxes: You have to follow the narrative's path and take on every side quest you encounter, so you can level up to proceed to the next area - and even then the XP system is designed in such a way that it's still not enough, so you have to sink hours in hunting and farming for miniscule XP rewards - or pay real money, and Ubisoft doesn't tire of reminding you that they think that's a really cool option. Wanna go exploring in an open world sandbox game? Pay the retail price all over again, level up to 40, and you can do so!

And if that wasn't enough, Ubisoft went and paid some Southwest Asian click farm to spam Metacritic with fake 10s. ACO could be the greatest game ever to hit home consoles - this behavior deserves 0 points and hopefully sales figures way below expectations. This is an unacceptable business model, and I hope the chickens come round to roost.

Skills not working right, the evasion is buggy and often doesn't work, every enemy can outrun you on foot, the stun lock is abysmal in this game, enemies spawning out of nowhere, the shield is broken and doesn't work like the game says, enemies can now take 30 arrows to the face like it's nothing then run up and one shot you. AC Origins is an utter mess at the moment with many broken game mechanics and glitches, which will lead to utter frustration. Sucks too because it is a very good looking game, but just like any game "graphics aren't everything." Expand

I played every main AC game so far and after AC: Syndicate I decided to give up.
The present time story wasn't really continued since AC III and the past time stories didn't manage to touch me any more. The villains weren't really well established I just felt like an [rated] killer machine all the time killing thousands (!!) of people I wasn't sure of if they are really that bad.

Then came the good reviews for Origins and I decided to give the series again another try.
    I shouldn't have.

Origins has one of the worst game entries I've played so far - you start not really knowing who you are, where you are and what you are doing - you're just told to kill some guy. Congratulations! You killed one of five villains. The motivation behind it is explained 1-2h later after doing some side quests.
Another revenge story with the caveat that the game just doesn't take time to make the player feel really involved. One mission isn't enough time to make a player care about a character.

And this is the main problem of the game:
It feels like the game grew too big for the developers turning out into lackluster and chaotic story telling.
Aside from your wife no character gets enough stage time to make you really care about them.
There are tons of characters - friends and foes - but they're just quickly introduced empty hulls.
It's also super easy to lose the overview.
At one point they introduce the super villain and the game tries to stage this reveal as a big twist.
The problem: They never introduced him properly before, so again you just don't care.

The last 3% of the story are actually well done then. The game gets more linear, the game stops introducing new characters and things get finally interesting. But... too late and it's not enough.

The side quests: Yes, they have some small cutscenes now but they neither won't tell you a good story and the tasks are repetitive like hell. No comparison to Witcher III's side quest.

A few words regarding the new RPG elements:
They didn't really work out. You find new weapons of different types all the time coming in normal, rare, legendary flavors and level depending attributes... but yeah... essentially I just picked the weapon type that worked best and changed the weapon maybe 10 times during the game and didn't even upgrade one.

The skill tree is nice but with the grown size it also lacks those big satisfying game changer skills.
Each skill just makes you a bit better or gives you a bit more comfort.

    The new combat system:
I understand that the old counter-focused system wore off.
But I really struggled with the new one as it didn't feel responsive enough.
Sometimes you feel locked by an enemy and just can't escape while
    taking more and more damage.
Throwing a smoke grenade turned out to be somewhat a matter of luck.
Often it just wouldn't trigger or trigger while picking up an item (same button).
Often you're unsure whether you have any bombs left all - there is no on
screen display for your gadgets any more.
Also combat is pretty dull - essentially you're just spamming the light or heavy
attack button all the time (matter of taste)... and maybe roll now and then. That's it.
You can also block with your shield but it didn't feel like a good option.
It's no catastrophy but it's definitely not Dark Souls.

    World building:
Nicely done. There are many different areas from huge cities to tiny villages and pitoresque countryside places. Though: There is virtually no element in the game that would give any real value to explorers. So you're essentially just consulting your game map for your next destination and either quick travel or travel there with your horse (or Camel) taking the shortest path.

AC: Origins with all that production value could have turned out as a really good game.
But it's a game that preferred mass of content over quality.
Reducing the amount of main story characters, giving each character more time and reducing the amount of side quests while giving them more love could have worked wonders for me.

So I still keep the Ezio trilogy (AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations) dear to my heart while finally giving up on the series now. It's okay for escapists who just want to dive into some historic scenario now and then while not really planning to finish the game. But if you care about characters and stories this game really wastes your time.

    2. Combat? What is this? Its like the Witcher meets tomb raider. Clunky combat, weird timing...combat really isn't fun. I have more fun watching enemies kill themselves than actually fighting them.
    3. HUGE world, just really boring. Same thing, over, and over, and over, and over, and over. Go somewhere, get quest, find person, save them or kill them, repeat over and over with very subtle differences.
    4. Loading up from a saved game takes about a minute and a half. Loading from fast travel to fast travel takes about 30 seconds.
    5. The story was pretty boring, a few twists here and there but nothing memorable or spectacular. I have beaten the game and still dont quite understand what the protagonists goal was. (The person visiting the Animus.) Maybe I didn't pay enough attention, but I didn't really feel like I wanted to either.
    6. Easy. This game was just flat out easy using stealth. Nothing even had a chance with sleep dart or poison darts.
    7. They could have added more environmental interactions/traps/distractions/etc...The few you have (fire) gets old pretty quickly.
This game is just meh. I would buy it at 30$ no that I have played it, but due to microtransactions not a penny more.

Game really diminished my faith in buying a game on day 1 release. So much that I will never make this mistake again.

The ending of the story leaves you pretty unsatisfied (you can check on reddit for a general concensus of that opinion), the new approach to gameplay which changes the usual and tried counter in fights is now changed to an action RPG with influences from The Witcher 3 but does not execute it properly, or at least I felt it so. The graphics also feel rushed and pretty lackluster.

If you're a fan of the series, I do recommend playing it, but most definitely at a lower price than it currently is. If you're not, you're better off playing The Ezio Collection or basically any other entry in the series and just read the minimal progression of the story this game has rather than play it.

Sorry to say this Ubisoft but no amount of money sent to reviewers will hide the truth of an uninspiring game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you want an actual Assassins Creed game, look somewhere else. A better and more descriptive name would've been Gladiators of Egypt or Angry Dad: An Egyptian Tale. I've platinum-ed the game on the PS4 and there this game have very little to do with the play style of what made Assassins Creed unique. Had the game not mentioned Animus, you would have thought it just an Egyptian Skyrim/Horizon Zero Dawn clone.

There is practically zero need to sneak around in the game, no penalties for being detected and most combat is spent in open conflict with some kind of heavy weapon. There's zero finesse required for any assassination mission, just kick down the front door to your target's location and hamfist your way to him with whatever weapon you choose.

"Crafting" in this game is just a grind fest, a better description would be more like a Upgrade Mini-game than actual crafting, you can only upgrade 5 pieces of gears anyways, and they just require a few different type of materials that you can obtain either from looting treasures or hunting animals around the world. The hunting was fun for about 2 hours then it quickly descends into a distracting job.

Progression of the story is marred by contact need to level-up your character or upgrade your gear due to the silly RPG leveling system Ubisoft decided to add to the game. While a metal blade through the throat of a lvl 10 Egyptian footman kills him, a lvl 30 Greek Soldier now has the power of the Xmen Colossus and becomes resistant to metal blade to the neck. There are no longer the lovely dance of death with counter kills and execution streaks. Ubisoft have devolved the combat of Assassins Creed to Call of Duty, if it moves, hit it with something heavy and sharp till it stops moving.

The story of the game is shallow, the characters are one dimensional. Compared to previous ACreed's characters like Ezio or even Haythem, Bayek is has about as much character as a piece of napkin with angry curse words written over it, and even less of an emotional range as Ronald Weasley, mostly stuck between very angry and very very angry. Unlike the cultured character we learned to love, Bayek has the vocabulary prowess as the typical American high school student, using mostly 4 letter words that can be commonly heard if one was working on a manure farm. Story can be summed up by a single sentence. "My son is dead, now I get to kill everybody I think is responsible." Oh, and we actually don't find out his son is dead until maybe an hour into the game after you kill a bunch of people which you have no idea why you're killing as a player.

The revenge mission of dead online players and instagram like feature of sharing screenshots in the game at best can be described as annoying, and at worst completely destroys immersion. Your mind has to decide if you're reliving the Ancient Egyptian past or if you're in some kind of facebook simulator skinned by an Egyptian theme.

The messages left by the precursor civilization that you can find by Bayek is long and cryptic to a point of being unnecessary. Imagine a typical technobabble on a star trek episode, then multiply that by 20 then topped again by useless references to everything "edgy" and "sciency" Ubisoft can think of that conveys a simple message of "Nothing is True" -Perception of reality is subjective, "everything is permitted" - All actions have consequences. And by the end you're not quite sure if its Bayek who found the message or they were build into the Animus because Bayek is simply not even responsive to the display of advanced technology or even puzzled by the technobabble, he simply stands there, like what Ubisoft wanted him to be, a large angry meat sack.

I have no idea how ANYONE can give his game more than a 5/10, but perhaps most people are easily pleased.
