Aragami is not for everyone, especially casual fans of the genre; it’s too demanding. Those of you who truly relish the hunt and welcome the challenge, though, will surely find that Aragami: Shadow Edition has what you’re looking for.

With so many highlights like collectibles, skills, skins and additional story chapters, Aragami: Shadow Edition has much to be enjoyed. At its core, Aragami is a game about redemption and choice that is reflected throughout. Those qualities make it a worthwhile experience for any players in search of a compelling story and attention to detail.

Aragami: Shadow Edition is all you could ask for and more from a game that is built on the mythology of shinobi. It may still have a few rough corners, but for a first stab on console that emphasises stealth, patience and bloody retribution? It’s a superb experience with plenty to say thanks to its included Nightfall expansion.

Despite the developerIt's a decent game with a pretty cool art style, but I ended up losing interest about 2/3 the way into the game. Despite the developer sometimes presenting somewhat different stealth challenges in levels, it ended up feeling a bit repetitive. I'm not the biggest pure stealth fan, but I wanted to give the game a try. The game being on PlayStation Now allowed me to play it for basically free. If you like pure stealth with hardly any combat, give it a try. Full Review »

    Pros:
    - Decent graphics
    - Decent story
    - Decent handling of stealth
    - Game experience gets better with more skills unlocked, but you never feel completely overpowered

    Cons:
    - One hit and you're dead
    - Sometimes annoying checkpoints
    - No real pause screen (looking at you "kill every enemy in the level" missions)
    - Story isn't completely bad, but falls flat for the most part
