Jul 18, 2021A game with potential but unfortunately wasted. If they made a decent update maybe they could save this game.

Feb 23, 2019Not a bad game...not earth-shattering, but it's fun with friends. Glad to see that Bobby Kotick still has enough employees to flood Metacritic, however.

Apr 19, 2019They could have done so much more with this game and it leaves you wondering why there isn't more. Guess when you waste 6 years trying to make decisions and 1 actually putting the game together you get Anthem.
I played it, wanted to keep playing it but much like other botched rollouts that involve EA I have moved on till something happens or improves the game. -

Feb 25, 2019Sure this game is lacking (and that might be an understatement to some) but based on my experience, I am able to have a genuine fun time playing this game.
Sure the loading screens make me want to shoot myself in the foot to pass the time, but when I actually get in and play, I forget all about it. Until I run into another loading screen. -

Mar 11, 2019Anthem is quite a unique game, its absolutely visually stunning and actually pretty fun to play. The problem with it is I just don't want to play it. I don't give a single care at all about the story and once I put it down and stopped playing for the day, I just haven't had the gumption to pick it back up, thats 2 weeks now...

Oct 21, 2019Anthem is a shared-world action-RPG in which players delve into a vast world teeming with amazing technology and forgotten treasures. The world is also filled with savage beasts and ruthless marauders where Freelancers are called to defeat the forces plotting to conquer humanity

Mar 12, 2019What's funny is that I think Mass effect Andromeda is a better game. Far more complete game. Anthem is screaming MVP (minimum viable product). I just want a game to release in a complete state. This game has a lot being held back.

Mar 13, 2019Anthem is a good game it needs a lots of work on it. I have played the both demos and I like the concept but game wasn't finished. I'll buy it 5-6 months later

Mar 26, 2019This game has potential. The games graphics are good and the shooting is solid. It is a bummer the game is broken, and repetitive. The looting is also broken. If you have friends to play with it is much more enjoyable. I think it will get better with time. I recommend you get it if it goes on a sale for anything less than $35.

Apr 25, 2019Why is it so boring? The game has huge potential and it will flourish in the future, I'm sure, but now playing it's incredibly boring.
-
Oct 7, 2019It's getting there, but slowly. It might be too late unless something major comes up.
-
May 16, 2019I'd say it's better than destiny - graphics and storyline as well as game mechanics are more fun.
That said, it's not Bioware RPG and it has it's annoying moments. Mind you, I played only after the first set of patches released. -

May 2, 2019There’s an intriguing game buried somewhere in Anthem, lying broken beneath its loot and structural frustrations like chunks of fossilised dinosaur bone.
-
Mar 16, 2019Even if I ignore all the bugs, glitches and disconnects I had, Anthem is still, by and large, a mediocre game. The lackluster story, loot system and gameplay make this game one to pass on. At least in its current state.

Playstation Official Magazine UKMar 14, 2019Though it’s one of best-looking titles on PS4, Anthem’s uninspired action and obsession with grindy tasks mean BioWare’s mechs aren’t on song. [Issue#160, p.83]
