Apr 19, 2017I would give this a negative score if I could. This game has terrible graphics, gameplay and everything else. Garbage game, for real. I would rather die than spend another minute playing.

Apr 19, 2017I tried to like this game, but the voice acting was just very terrible. The storyline is very boring and linear, luckily though Steam was nice enough to refund this purchase so it could be spent on a game worth my time. I am glad that Steam refunded this terrible purchase and allowed me to buy the Pepe the Frog game along with Praise Kek!
-
Apr 19, 2017This is an abortion of a game, the type of thing that would show up on android and only used as a front to install some type of malware or backdoor program. It's ridiculous time was spent on creating this. Avoid at all cost.
-
Apr 19, 2017I really enjoy a good cyberpunk story, and i love good pixel art. This game has none of those things. The music is bland, the gameplay is repetitive. Overall, a **** game. Dont bother playing
-
Apr 19, 2017My 11-year-old niece writes better stories than the story in this game, and I'm not even being hyperbolic. This game is an absolute embarrassment to the gaming community. It's so bad I can only assume the good reviews came from paid shills. Save your money.
-
Apr 21, 2017The game was really bad. Don't waste your money on this! I can't believe they actually charge money for this boring game. I couldn't bare to play it for more than an hour.
-

-
Apr 19, 2017Not worth wasting your time on, boring and repetitive gameplay, and crashes every xx minutes for me. Graphically wise it could definitely better. Don't buy it guys, waste of money.

Apr 19, 2017Unbelievable. I cannot believe a company would disrespect a large group of people. It shouldn't matter what political views a potential buyer has. I will never support a company that tells people to "**** off."
-
Apr 19, 2017If you enjoyed Mass Effect: Andromeda's writing and Mass Effect 3's endings, you'll love this. Character's thrust their identities in your face with robot dialog. Attempt to move outside the agenda and you'll end up electro shocked until you're back following like a drone.
-
Apr 19, 2017This gameplay is extremely boring and the story offers nothing at all to keep you interested in playing. I would recommend that you don't waste your money on this one.
-
Apr 19, 2017Probably one of the worst, if not THE worst game I've played... and I've played a lot of games. Especially the gameplay and user intereface are horrible. If you like Cyberpunk, maybe this is a game for you, but personally, I found the story and the setting lame and boring.
-
Apr 19, 2017Low-G Man on the NES was a better game than this pile of garbage. I wish I hadn't spent the bandwidth needed to download this piece of tripe much less the time. Perhaps the only redeeming quality of this "game" is that I get some small enjoyment out of trashing it.
-
Apr 19, 2017There is nothing new and inventive about this game.
Nothing creative. Nothing new. Nothing exciting.
If you want a new game to play, look elsewhere.
If you want another prototypical, cookie cutter, cardboard cutout shooter, this is it.
But that's all it is. A cardboard cutout. -
Apr 19, 2017Boring, hyperpolitical, garbage. If I wanted to read so much, I would have picked up a book with an actually interesting story. This was the worst $22(!) that I've spent in my lifetime.
-
Apr 19, 2017Garbage, not even worth the time to install. Not to mention the developers are arrogant and pompous. Move to something else by any other developer and don't waste your time.
-
Apr 19, 2017This game was definitely made with a push of political narrative. Just keep politics out of your work and you could make a good game. $20? this game should have been $2
-
Apr 19, 2017stupid storytelling. I like normaly indiegames but thgat game makes no sense at all it seems the dev only is out to recive some quickbucks have no clue how they recive a metascore from 75.
-
Apr 19, 2017Bad, heavy handed writing. Bad gameplay. This game is garbage from beginning to end. Don't waste your precious time and hard earned money supporting this pile of refuse.
-
Apr 19, 2017I've never had a game that I got bored of so quickly. The gameplay is bad, the writing is worse and the metacritic score being so high is a joke. Clearly those reviewers only spent an hour with the game, because it's unplayable after that.
-
Apr 19, 2017Don't even bother playing this awful game. The story is unrealistic and the developers need to put in more work for this title to be actually playable.
-
Apr 19, 2017Total piece of **** the devs should stop making games and go work at starbucks....................................................................................................................................................................
-
Apr 19, 2017It falls short of being a pastiche by appealing to a common denominator so low that it doesn't even exist. People don't play games while washing doing the dishes. The gameplay is overshadowed by one too many headbangers.
-
Apr 19, 2017Well I honestly don't get what politics have to do with videogames, but well, everything for some drama-news, eh?
I tested this masterpiece and was so disgusted by the graphics. It is realy anoying that games with a good story don't walk the extra mile and produce some qual. graphics.
so sad. -

-
Apr 19, 2017Talk about a waste of time. This game is extremely boring and not worth the download. I'm not sure why all the other reviewers are talking about SJWs and Twitter, I'm too busy winning to follow all the drama.
-
Apr 19, 2017Cute graphics, decent lore, but the game quickly becomes tiresome.
If it was a little shorter and cheaper (this game should be $6.99) or they revised the pacing I would put it at a 6 or 7. But as it stands I can't recommend a buy, maybe watch part of it on YouTube to see if the pacing and lore is right for YOU. -
Apr 19, 2017What an awful piece of junk game. This was a colossal waste of my time and money.. I haven't played something this terrible since Superman 64. MidBoss is a horrible company, so there's that too.
-
Apr 19, 2017This is likely the worst game ever made. It should be pulled off the market and refunds given to all who have had the misfortune to purchase it, along with an apology.
-
Apr 19, 2017Absolute trash. The game is poorly designed and isn't fun to play at all. Take the game and the company to the garbage where they belong. I've never been so disappointed in a purchase.
-
Apr 19, 2017
-
Apr 19, 2017The devs should have focused on making a game rather than pushing their political views. This game is garbage. This game has no redeeming qualities and I am honestly upset I wasted any time with it.
-
Apr 19, 2017Boring. Trite, played-out characters and themes. I played a few hours and wanted to kill myself. I couldn't force myself to slog through it. I LOVED Snatcher, and to see THIS as the game that's allegedly carrying its torch? Awful.
-
Apr 19, 2017I love this style of game, but Rom 2064 is absolutely terrible. Comedy falls short, story is boring, and the preachy undertones make it un-enjoyable. If you watch the trailer it highlights the greatest part of this game, which is the fact that they convinced so many people to voice act for this steaming turd that they call entertainment.
-
Apr 19, 2017Absolute waste of time. Worst game I've ever played. Cannot actually wish this game on my worst enemies. Dull, boring, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
-
Apr 19, 2017
-
Apr 19, 2017Wow, what a doo-doo game. And even worse developers. Please save your money for something useful like toilet paper to wipe off the stains from this steaming pile of gender-neutral dog crap!
-
Apr 19, 2017Very Poor Game with lots of glitches and bugs - buyer beware!
This is a complete amateur hour of fisher-price game design. Terrible gameplay, do not buy. Developer needs to reevaluate their life choices. -
Dec 4, 2017Thinly veiled political message behind a game with uninventive mechanics and horrible story telling. All around weak and boring a very amateurish effort. Plenty of better games around much more deserving of your money.
-
Oct 31, 2017Looked cute, but the story was forced and the voice acting was horrible.
Its a lazy pixel-art game without a base to stand on.
And being a--holes dosent help your case, just a thought if you are developer. -
Apr 18, 2017Breathes new life into a thoroughly neglected genre. And with a strong emphasis on inclusion! A few gameplay and story pitfalls are easily overlooked when this game is just overflowing with heart and style. It's one of my favorite indie titles of the past 5 years and I will come back to it time and again, no doubt.
-
Apr 18, 2017When nostalgic love letter to the old adventure games on Sega CD goes right. I came in for Snatcher, stayed with unique and captivating story, setting and broad, fun and well written bunch of character and good thrill of mystery. Extra points for very stellar pixel art and groovy tunes. Good stuff!
-
Apr 18, 2017Lush original music, and now some of the best damn voice acting I've heard in a video game in a long time. Get immersed in the story, setting and unique characters, and don't forget to use the headphones on everything!!!
-
Apr 18, 2017This game genuinely surprised me for how incredible of a throwback adventure game it was...there are multiple ways to solve puzzles, the soundtrack and graphics are excellent, I fell in LOVE with the story and characters, and the whole thing just oozed with style and polish. Pretty incredible to have something like this come out in this day and age!
-
Apr 18, 2017Excellent soundtrack and VA in a very interesting storyline with fun characters. Definitely a great throwback to games like Snatcher. Also the fact it has the ire of trolls wanting to regress society to an imaginary ideal makes me like it even more.
-

Apr 18, 2017Could gush about the game's looks and writing all day but do yourself a favor and just go play the game. Interesting to note that 100% of the user ratings below a 5 never actually played the game or seen a naked woman irl. Wouldn't be surprised if the bulk of these are from the same people. Sad!
-
Apr 18, 2017A brilliant mix between an adventure game and a visual novel. Probably my favourite of this genre since the original Ace Attorney games with smart writing and memorable characters.
-

-
Apr 18, 2017This game made me feel warm and good deep down. It's a good story, and the tone of the game through and through is just great, it's an excellent science fiction game.
-
Apr 18, 2017One of the greatest games in a generation from one of the most on-target developers. Mesmerizing visuals, exceptional character depth. One in a million!
-
Apr 18, 2017A well executed love letter to adventure games and 90's cyberpunk themes. If those two aesthetics sound good to you you can't do much better than this in 2016.
-
Apr 18, 2017This game is an absolute treat. It has a stellar soundtrack, lovely cyberpunk aesthetic, fascinating story, and endearing, diverse characters. If you're a fan of point and click adventure games, this is the game for you.
-
Apr 18, 2017Oh, where do I start!
This game has been on my radar since like, what, 2014? I was quite excited about it at the time, and it did not disappoint!
Great art direction (love the colors!), great music, also a robot is your friend.
All around a wholesome package for fans of adventure games out there. -
Apr 18, 2017Read Only Memories was a really enjoyable experience, with many cute and memorable characters! I recommend it to anyone who's a fan of interesting sci-fi narratives that aren't all noir-esque or grimdark, especially if you like having lgbt characters that aren't just tragedy-porn. I consider it an 8 or 9 out of 10, but for the purpose of combating garbage review-bombers, I'm giving it a 10.

Apr 19, 2017I really enjoyed the original release, and 2064 only added to my enjoyment of the game. A good classic style point click adventure game. The soundtrack and art for this game fits the cyperpunk theme and made the whole game really memorable.

Apr 18, 2017The game is amazing. Voice acting makes it even more enoyable. Charming environment and really good writing. Don't listen to the alt-right **** Read Only Memories is great and worth playing.
-
Apr 19, 2017Ignore the Gamergaters, this is a lot of fun. Diverse, interesting characters, cute design, GREAT score. Relationships between the main characters drive the plot, this is definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed classic point-and-click adventures. Strongly recommended.
-
Apr 18, 2017This is a delightful little scifi game about having a robot buddy and how much you want to love them for being a cute robot pet but robots aren't pets they're people. Love them, but respect them for who they are.
-
Apr 18, 2017A lovely game with great pixel art and a soundtrack that SLAPS. The world leans toward an aesthetically brighter and bouncier vision of the future than most cyberpunk stories, which is refreshing for this oft explored setting. It's also one of the few games that lets you set custom pronouns for the player character; a little thing that meant a lot to me.
-
Apr 18, 2017Awesome pixel art, cool take on cyberpunk tropes. I was a big fan of Snatcher, and I feel like Read Only Memories did a great job of taking the cooler parts from that game but modernizing them in several key ways. It's nice to see that the point and click adventure games haven't entirely disappeared. More cyberpunk games like this, please.
-
Apr 21, 2017It's a great game that deserves the 10 stars! All the negative votes are just attacking it because it's queer friendly. The music is good, alongside the story, even with the harshest of critics I would give the game a 7.5/10. All the 0's are undeserved and some seem to be from the same user with random/simple usernames.

Apr 18, 2017Oh my Lord, this is one of my favorite games.
- It's heart-wrenching in all the right ways.
- You get super attached to all the characters.
- Incredible voice acting.
- Amazing story.
Honestly I strongly suggest this game if you can get around the pixel graphics and point n' click part of it. (Personally neither of those things bother me, infact i quite like pixel graphics.) -
Apr 18, 2017It makes me sad that these guys got review-brigaded because of the politics on their Twitter account.
For what it's worth, I played this game when it first came out, and I found it to be adorable. Something like a cross between a point and click adventure and a visual noverl, it has amazing stylistic choices and real heart to it. 10 stars! Would play again. -

Nov 10, 2018Downloaded 2064 when it was free on PS4. I'm a big fan of cyberpunk games. I play a lot of VA-11 HALL-A... which is a point and click game where you play as a bartender. Spent some time playing 2064 and was literally bored out of my mind... almost fell asleep. Uninstalled. Thanks for wasting my time.
-
Apr 24, 20172064: Read Only Memories is fantastic; it features beautiful pixel art supplemented by fantastic music and a colorful cast of characters. Its developers also have wonderful political views. 150 words aren't enough to do this game justice -- it must be played!

Aug 23, 2023Devs are woke communists that are hateful to the point that they only want a select group of people to play this game.
The art style and it being cyberpunk is good, but I won't support a game made by a far-left hate group. -

-
Mar 16, 2019Buggy interface. Boooooooring story. Mostly nice pixel graphics.
Overall when I saw screens, I thought that this game will be something more point n' clicky. Instead I've got straight forward silly game with really boring narration and story. Not worth money or time. -

-
Dec 6, 2019Somewhat fun but, an insane left-wing political story it can be quite lackluster, not optimized well for PS4.
-
Feb 3, 2020I don't really remember exactly when I got this in my Steam library, but I decided to give it a try within the past couple of months and you know, it's not bad! The music's amazing (seriously, check out "Home (not) Sweet Home" if you're curious), the pixel art is really nice, and the story's engaging. At least to me, anyway. Definitely not for everyone, but I had fun with it.
-
Aug 29, 2020I am not into pixel-art games, but since i got i give it a try.The story is good and it has good voiceover. But 90% of the game(if you call this a game) is dialogue between the characters. There is almost no gameplay here.If you like storytelling without any gameplay than this game is for you.
-
May 21, 2020It’s actually a good game. Excellent voice acting with multiple endings. Reminds me of those 80’s cartoons. It’s a shame idiots have been review bombing this game here. Those complaining about it being "political"... that's the actual plot of the game... you know what a plot is, right?
-
Sep 11, 2022Game bleeds wokeness throughout. It's a shame because the story/voice acting is good. I'm not sure if the port is just meh, but there's extreme input lag for password sections or even to type your name in the beginning.

Jun 12, 2017Bugs aside, I had a killer time with 2064. Although series like Phoenix Wright and Danganronpa have successfully reinvented the Japanese-style adventure game for the 21st century, there's a certain allure to the mysterious world of menu-driven microcomputer adventures of decades past. 2064 not only successfully simulates that feeling, it welcomes players of all backgrounds and orientations with open arms. 2064's future is one that belongs to all of us.
-
Feb 24, 20172064: Read Only Memories presents an interesting, if not predictable, narrative that is propelled by its strong cast of characters and excellent world-building. It’s refreshing to see a developer put so much care into creating a cast as diverse and interesting as this.
-
Jan 31, 2017I alternated between enjoyment and stretches of indifference. I am genuinely glad, though, that we have this addition to our growing Western library of visual novel hybrids (!).
