Wanted weapons of fate is a great game. It mixes the adrenaline fused gameplay of max payne with a dynamic cover system like gears of war. Even though the length is on the shorter side and there is no online the extreamly tight gameplay and stunning visuls make up for that in this extremly fun
    game

You could pass this off as a simple movie licence game but to do so would be an injustice for Wanted manages to convincingly bridge both the movie and graphic novel smartly while keeping the tone and dark humour of the film. It also contains possibly the best 3rd person cover system in any game to date! Only the sub par graphics and glitches prevent it reaching a 10.

best game I've played on the PS3 and I think the adaptation of the film for the very good game until cool the history hidden pages are really cool to be sought

this game was alright but as is the way with most games based on movies it fell very far of my expectations. the story line is so short if you were determined you could finish it in one sitting with about 5 hours of gameplay and there is no online mode to play this is only a rental game and you should not spend your money buying it

When your forced to jump between cover shooting enemys and "bending bullets" the game is at its best. But when your forced to leave cover everything goes pair shaped. Maybe you should have been locked onto only cover? First time i've ever said that.

I'm a simple man. All I needed from this game to give it a good review was a decent bullet curve mechanic and it delivered.

Besides the bullet curve mechanic working really well the snap cover to cover mechanic worked really well. This game wasn't broken or buggy at all. It was a breeze to get through. Throw in a decently easy trophy list and it all adds up to a mildly fun experience.

It didn't even take me 3 hours to get through the whole thing on the medium difficulty.

But seriously this game is pretty rinse and repeat. There's next to no variation. It's mildly fun for a run through but it's ultimately pretty shallow. The graphics are ok to good for 2008/2009. They didn't get James McAvoy to voice his role but they replaced him with Jimmi Simpson of all people which is sort of random but also awesome so I suppose that's a wash.

Overall I think a 6 out of 10 is pretty fair for this game. I got a decent bullet curve mechanic and it's literally all I Wanted from this game. Sorry. I'll see myself out now.

THE WANTED: WEAPONS OF FATE is a great game, faithful to the movie with amazing gameplay mechanics, you feel as a badass with this game as you curve a bullet to an eneyme behand walls and having a challenging experience, a game you must play if you like action third-person shooters.

Dumb fun that you can beat in a few hours. The bullet curving technique is a novelty that wears off pretty quickly as it's not utilized in any clever manner.

  1. The good news is that the game, as dull as it gets, doesn't last for more than five hours. It's quick and dirty. [Apr 2009, p.77]
  2. Overall, Wanted: Weapons of Fate won't win any GOTY awards, but it's still a major improvement for movie-licensed games and serves as an example for how to truly do a movie-game right.

For its six-hour playthrough (you can extend that by unlocking alternate characters, but they're so unmemorable and non-gameplay changing, that they provide no incentive to play through again), Wanted: Weapons of Fate is at best a competent, fire-and-forget movie game -- not much more nor less.
