Sep 10, 2022Although I love this game series, the first game is quite mediocre when it comes to the gameplay
-
May 15, 2018It's a bit dated, but Uncharted is still a fun adventure worth experiencing.

Jun 21, 2020Serving as the starting point to one of gaming's greates series, Drake's Fortune skilfully introduces us to characters who we will go on to love for many years. Despite it's great characters and fun story, the gameplay feels quite stiff and can get very repetitive after a few hours of playing. Overall a must-play game that leads to far better future installments.

Jan 15, 2022The game is just ok in my opinion. The story is fine. The gameplay is fairly repetitive. The graphics are nice. The platforming is alright. The character's are probably my favorite part. But overall, it was nothing special.

Nov 17, 2021Have to say I enjoyed the story and after rage quitting 2/3 times and coming back to it I finally appreciated the story after. Thereās a line between entertainment and frustration but I also understand this was the best type of entertainment at the time, throw as many enemies as godly possible at you at once

Nov 20, 2022This game can be a lot of fun except when you are shooting and unfortunately this game is 70% shooting...

Nov 5, 2022I love the Uncharted series and it is probably my favourite game series at all. But I have to say, even though this game is the beginning of the series, it did not age well. Playing it to day can really be a pain sometimes. In terms of story, it“s the typical Uncharted game type, so the story is of course great and fun.

Sep 24, 2012fine, but incredibly overrated. The game isn't that long and the story left an incredibly bad taste in my mouth, it gets so much praise, but there are far better games on the PS3.
-
Dec 27, 2012Unfortunately as many other players I played Uncharted 2 first so I did feel the difference between both games and I agree with other critics the number of enemies in this game it's ridiculous, and they can get a lot of damage but they just wont go down. But don't get me wrong this is definitely one of the best Adventure video game in the PS3 history.

PaulL.Jan 10, 2010This game is far from greatness. It can be quite infuriating at times and some of the checkpoint save locations are a joke. Combat can go both ways, either good or very bad. Aside from that, the story is somewhat charming. I must note here, that I'm a victim of the "Crysis effect". Anything above a 7, can't be justified.

Jan 10, 2016+good tomb raider style platforming
+aside from the character models, the visuals still hold up very well
+covershooting sections are somewhat enjoyable
-covershooting sections kinda tend to drag on and happen far too often
-platforming feels finicky at points
-story is pretty average
-puzzles are insultingly easy -

Jan 5, 2020La verdad que me decepciono un poco... mucho tiroteo sin sentido para alargar, muchas hordas... una, dos, tres y entonces justo pasa algo... la historia normalita... fue un comienzo de saga correcto, nada espectacular...

Dec 28, 2016I don't have too much to say about this game. I'm sure it was stunning at the time, but playing it 7 years after its release, it feels very OK. I played it mostly in preparation for Uncharted 4.
True Score: 7.6 -

WayneL.Jan 27, 2008Repetitive battles, poor story, poor object models (clipping problems), pointless jumping puzzles. Over all not a bad game but defiantly not worth the hype.

Apr 2, 2012The dullest third-person shooting game I have played in a while, complete with quick-time events. The scenery was nice and the graphics were very good too, and the platforming sections were fairly enjoyable. The story is ridiculous though and overall it was kind of a "meh" game.
-
Feb 24, 2013It is not that bad but its a bit overrated. Don“t get me wrong, its not that uncharted sucks, it doesnt but there is much space above. But the graphics were good at that time.
-
GeorgeD.Dec 19, 2007I don't know why this game is getting tens! It is good but the short length of the campaign makes it really bad value for money. Also the camera systems erratic seesawing (especially on the jetski stages) induces NAUSEA, which I cannot say is a very pleasant gaming experience.

The final sum is far greater than the individual parts. Maybe you don't dig the combat or maybe the pop-in gets you down, but the overall package of an endearing story, outstanding score, great performances and fun gameplay should put this title on the top of your holiday wishlist.
-
This game is one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've had this year, and it's definitely a great reason to own a PS3. The mix of platforming and gunplay worked really well and left me craving the next title in the series.

By starting with a great control and camera system, building on that with excellent combat and a wonderful spin on Ico's platform adventuring, and then topping it off with a decent storyline, Naughty Dog has cooked up one of the most relentlessly entertaining, fat-free games to emerge in ages. Topped off with the most stunning use of the PS3's underused technical prowess yet, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is, for my money, the first must-have PlayStation 3 title.
