    This is not a video game; This is a playable Hollywood experience, and a good one at that. The storytelling and character development is some of the best of the series, and the graphics are among the best the system has to offer. My only problem ( and it is a pretty big one) is the shooting scenes. I don't feel any Uncharted game has had good gun-control, and this one is no exception.     One of the best games this generation. Everything from awesome action set pieces, amazing graphics, great gameplay, fun multiplayer, and funny and adventerous story. All of those things make up a quality game like this. The negative points was I felt Uncharted 2 was a little bit better than Uncharted 3.

    This is a great game that should be experienced by all. The addictive story and gameplay make it almost impossible to put down. Even when you get done with the epic story, the multiplayer is a blast. You won't be disappointed.

    I give this game a nine because although it's a great game, it's pretty much the same process as the last two.
    but overall I enjoyed it. out of all the PS3 exclusives that came out this year. this is probably the best out of all of them. I enjoyed the multiplayer which is a vast improvement but I can't get connected probably due to the firmware update it got the other day. there isn't many    I give this game a nine because although it's a great game, it's pretty much the same process as the last two.

    Amazing game. A great sequel to a superb franchise. This game is a theatrical experience that is worth paying $60 for. If you own a PS3 and haven't gotten this game yet, you owe it to yourself to go out and buy it. If you haven't played the other, get those too!

The visuals and set pieces are amazing, along with the voice acting, and I felt that the story was much better in this 3rd installment of the game, however this does not all come without it's faults. Uncharted's greatest weakness is it's gunfights, they are incredibly predictable, drawn out and tiresome. You are constantly put up againstDefinitely not a 10 out of 10 game, but wow!     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Uncharted 3 is an amazing game but i will agree with a lot of others that it isn't what Uncharted 2 was. Uncharted 3 has great game play and a great cast of characters and i loved seeing Sully in this one from start to finish but sometimes with great characters doesn't come the greatest story. The story was really impressive through most of the game but one thing that irritates me is there were stuff in the story that were not explained in previous/current game(s). Like Elena and Drake with the ring, i know to some its small but when i'm a huge fan of the series i want all the details in the game or experience them within the game. Other than that i loved this game and i hope Naughty Dog can bring us another great game soon.… Expand

    This game is my favorite since 2009's Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3 is beyond amazing and deserves the purchase. The reason why I give it a 9 is because the graphics just didn't really shock me like Uncharted 2 was, and the story just wasn't as good in my opinion.     A must play game! Love the new additions in the game and hand to hand combat is fun you can pick up almost anything near by you and hit the enemy with it. A lot of FUN!! Well done Naughty Dog!

    Incredible at every turn. This game took what we love about Uncharted and just expanded it in every way. The story seems to start with the same old "Race to the treasure" feel the other two had. (Which isn't a bad thing, theyre both incredible games). But along the way the story branches out and gets you more invested in the characters. Over the top action... Check.     PERFECTION! from the single to multiplayer, everything is on another level to other games avaiable.

    The Best game I ever played!!! Amazing graphics, great gameplay, epic soundtrack, awesome story, top-notch voice acting, and improved multiplayer. This has to be one of the contenders for game of the year. 10/10

    One of the best and most beautiful games I have ever played. Some times I had to stop and just admire the surroundings; is like being actually in those exotic locations. The games feels so much like a movie and the controls are so smooth that it will make you let go the controller to make sure you are controlling Nate. Definitely a 10 out of 10. If you haven't bought it yet... do it. It'sOne of the best and most beautiful games I have ever played. This has everything that a hardcore gamer is looking for, deep story that involves you with the characters and the outcome, and the great multiplayer experience. The story does suffer some of the same problems as the first two, and the conclusion is seen a mile away, however the ride Drake takes you on is well worth the price of admission.

    Great game. Graphics and sound are top notch, although UC2's story was a bit better, some of the characters in the game seem forced into it since it's a sequal, but it's still entertaining. Only knock on it is the controls don't seem as smooth as UC2, I feel like I'm fighting my character sometimes to do what I want them to do. That's the only thing that stopped me from giving it a 10.

I recommend it to anyone who really liked the multi-player in U2, because the single-player doesn't hold up as well.

    (problem areas) Single player pacing, difficulty curve and controls: Uncharted 2 had a nearly perfect single player experience, 3 stumbles a little bit. Uncharted games essentially have three different modes: shooting, climbing and light puzzle solving. U3 has a hard time balancing these in the same way that U2 and U1 did. Shooting is scarce in the first half of the game, then it shows up and becomes too difficult too quickly. The combat set-pieces are overwhelming confusing, leading to inevitable and frustrating trial-and-error without much idea as to what i actually did wrong with each death. The aiming controls in single player are weirdly sluggish as well, even though they're fine in multiplayer but even then come with some problems and don't feel quite as sharp as other console shooters. There are moments of brilliance in some of the set-pieces other games can only aspire to match, but their overbearing weight on the experience as a whole (the entire game was designed and written around a few key set-pieces) leaves the single-player feeling a little disjointed, unbalanced and just kind of made me want to play U2's or U1's campaign one more time.

    (strong areas) The muli-player is the best Naughty Dog has done so far. They fixed up the game modes so multiple game-types are included in a single mode, so a single game of team objective might include: brief team death-match, king of the hill, territories, chain-reaction and a spin-off of plunder that involves holding onto and protecting the idol for as long as you can. The same treatment was given to co-op arena, so gone are the days of getting stuck with gold rush, it will switch out for siege and then to survival. Also included is a neat new 2v2 spin-off of co-op arena called hunter arena that lets 2 people play as the normally AI controlled bad guys. The players assuming these roles can even pick what kinds of enemies they want to play as including snipers, grenadiers a few different types of gunners. It's a fairly entertaining twist on co-op, and is reminiscent of other games like Left 4 Dead that have combined co-op and competitive styles of play. They have also revamped the character customization across the board in all online modes, allowing you to pick boosters (perks) like before but now co-op also has access to various customizations as well. Weapons can be modded, clothes can be bought, and now medals earned in combat allow you to use kickbacks which are basically super-powers and you get to pick one for each load out. Some of the weapon mods are annoyingly expensive, ranking up alone hardly unlocks anything and it can be a bit of a let down when you finally get that mod you want and you aren't even close to affording it. Earning money in itself is a part of the mechanics, and there's a booster that helps you make more. There's even treasure gathering from chests scattered around the map or people you take down will randomly drop some. It does add a little spice to the flavor, but at a cost to the overall focus. There's some emblem stuff too but that's not very interesting.

    Overall it's a pretty solid game, the single-player will leave you wanting (even though it's occasionally incredible, and worth experiencing, if only once) but the multi-player is fully featured enough to keep you around for a good while between the competitive, cooperative and hybrid modes. I'm a little baffled by the abundance of add-on content available so quickly and that hunter's club nonsense Sony is using to reel in even more cash, but I can't let that reflect on my final score.    … Expand

And while the first is not as popular I still play it to this day. I just don't feel the same connection to 3. It was fun for a few hours but now that it's over it's over. It doesn't help that the final level is underwhelming and ending is curiouslyA very, very, very good game. Not a great game though.     Decent game but there problems. The story is cluster **** and the ending leaves a lot to be desired. The graphics have taken a step back when compared to UNCHARTED 2 also the frame rate is inconsistent. Feels like rushed product. If you are expecting quality that we saw in Uncharted 2 you are in for a big surprise.

    this game is more better i love this game i am only half way thru entire game i am loving it i am dying to see what happen in end of game i want to see if this game get another sequel

    if u guys only bought 3rd series i suggest u play from start u enjoy this game much every Uncharted fan here

    I love Uncharted series,.. And as for me now, James Bond is nothing compare Nathan Drake... Can't wait for your another piece of work, The last of us... Must be a masterpiece... Keep up the epic work Naughty Dog... Cheers !

    Thing this game is great, but being such a fan of the first and especially the second game I don't think Uncharted 3 was as good. It did not hook me like the first two did, maybe because I was use to the Uncharted series, or maybe because I just had too high of expectations.

    The best console graphics ever made. Its a "simple" evolution from Uncharted 2, not a revolution like Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2, but the game is very good. My only disapointed is in history, is good but not great like Uncharted 2.

    Is Uncharted 3 as good as it's predecessor? No. Is it flawless? No, it definitely isn't. Is it a disappointment? Absolutely not. Despite some messy spots here and there and all the imperfections, Uncharted 3 is nothing short of spectacular. Visually glorious and spellbindingly thrilling. It's epic in every sense of the word. Go buy it. Now.

    Greater game then the average joe, In my opinion this game was better then the 2 one. Puzzles are very hard for me so you will see I rarely play these kind of games but if i'm bored and need something i'm always in for a deep puzzler. Perfect for hardcore gamers.

    I'm still wondering how they keep making these games and improving on them. Looking into the background I kept admiring the scenery and wanted to go explore it. Then I discovered that it wasn't just the background. You actually get to explore every inch of the amazing locales you visit.

    This was my first PS3 game and seriously, I don't know what to say. Those graphics are... just perfect! The story is fascinating, the characters are awesome and it's one of the greatest games I ever played. When I played for the first time, I was excited.

    MUST GET THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE A PS3!!! The only thing is that the campaign is a little short, but it doesn't matter because the campaign is fun to replay. The multiplayer looks boring, but it gets really fun. This game is the definition of perfect.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Played this as part of the nathan drake collection. While it satisfied my appetite for more of nathan drakes adventures, it certainly had its fair share of misgivings.

    You can expect to get a taste of all what is good about an uncharted game in this episode, the charming antics of mr. Drake, fun enough gun play, treasure hunting, satisfying climbs, interesting enough story. It did add some new weapons and features to the uncharted series such as ability to throw back gernades.

    However, from the 3 games in the collection this one was my least favorite. Story got really slow in a few places, and the ending was underwhelming and rather abrupt. Some of the chapters were uninspiring; caravan chapter was a copy paste from a chapter in uncharted 2, so was the chapter were u have to board a plane while its about to take off. its the same as UC2 chapter were you have to catch a train leaving the station. and the ship graveyard chapter was horrible.

    Finally, after getting used to the amazing set pieces in uncharted 2, it was a let down to see this next installment fall short of expectations. Puzzles for the most part were much easier and paled in comparison to some of the wonderful puzzle designs in UC2. The action set pieces were brief and not as 'exhilirating' as the previous installement. Small note, music was not as good either.

    Well, this is it. Uncharted 4 is just around the corner and i've finally completed the first 3 games, so let's see what Uncharted 3 is like, before Uncharted 4 gets here.

And just like before    Well, this is it. Uncharted 4 is just around the corner and i've finally completed the first 3 games, so let's see what Uncharted 3 is like, before Uncharted 4 gets here.

    STORY: Uncharted 3 actually explains how Nathan and Sully first met and what they are searching for this time. It all centers around this ring that can tell the location of a lost city...somehow. And just like before it's pretty much a race to find it first and get...something inside the city.

    The story overall is pretty strong, but i feel like the formula for it is just more of the same, making it very predictable by the end. Furthermore there are some characters that are introduced at the beginning, but then in the later part of the game they never appear, leaving the question of: why were they here in the first place?.

    The story, in my opinion, doesn't top Uncharted 2 plot, but i still feel like it does a fine enough job and hey, we get to see 15 year old Nate and that's nice.

    PRESENTATION: In terms of graphics Uncharted 3 looks...pretty much just like Uncharted 2. I'm sure there was some improvement, but i don't really notice a difference. The great animations, models, physics and music are still here and the voice acting is just as good as before. But it does have some problems:

    First...agh man. I don't really know what i have with Naughty Dog games, but i always manage to find glitches in every single game i've played with their mark. Now in most cases, like in Uncharted 2, their minor ones and don't really prevent me from enjoying the game, but this right here is just pure chaos and i always fear that my PS3 might explode or that the game is gonna collapse.

    We have everything: Falling through the floor, textures not loading, characters not moving, audio sync errors, getting stuck in places and while the game does have some frame rate drops, i counted 2 times where the game just totally freeze on me and i had to reset the console and do the mission all over again because of it. On top of that we also popping everywhere, from characters and textures alike.

    I don't know if it's my PS3's fault (which i doubt because i had no problem with Uncharted 2), but this certainly prevented me from enjoying the game to the maximum potential, nevertheless i still think that it's a good looking and sounding game, but it is the definitely the most unstable out of the bunch.

    GAMEPLAY: Uncharted 3 in terms of gameplay...it's pretty much the same as the last game. You still shoot with the L1 and R1 triggers, throw grenades with L2, switch weapons with the D-pad, you get behind enemies to kill them silently, you resolve puzzles, you can cover, etc. But the biggest change was definitely the focus on melee combat. In previus game's i rarely used it, but in this one you are forced to do it you want to or not and heck it's the first thing you do when you start the game.

    So how does it work?...eh roughly the same. You still attack with square button and avoid attacks with the triangle button, but this time is all done with quick time events and the circle button is also used in many occasions...and you know what?, i feel like it was a change for the better since it fleshed out the combat a bit more and it also makes it more useful. So useful in fact that sometimes running to an enemy and punching him to the dead is the ideal strategy.

    The parkour system was also tweaked, but not in a good way. In Uncharted 2 you could move ,in many occasions, in a 3D plain (the most obvious example is the part where you climb a train), but in Uncharted 3 we don't nearly as much of that and we're back to just pressing X a few times in a 2D plain to get from one place to the next, which really limits the depth of the parkour system, Uncharted 2 got it right so...what gives?.

    Finally we have the ability to throw back grenades at the enemies by pressing triangle at the right moment (which really comes in handy with the tougher enemies) and that sometimes you will go throw stretch allways that...have absolutely no impact on gameplay...

    And...that's it...no really there's pretty much no other change whatsoever. The stealth, the weapons, the partners, the aiming and just about everything else stays the same, which is disappointing, but since i didn't ***** about it in the New Super Mario Bros reviews, i'm not gonna ***** about it here, but i will say that if you just finished Uncharted 2, give this one some time because otherwise it's gonna get very repetitive and old very fast.

    Overall Uncharted 3 is a good game, but when you compare it to Uncharted 2...well...it's just seems very weak both from innovative, technical, story and improvement standpoints. I still recommend it if you haven't tried it already, but play Uncharted 2 first since i consider it to be the better experience...just avoid the first one at all cost. Oh! and before i forgot, this game and the last one have multiplayer!...that i've never touched.

The one thing that they did better with this game than the others is that they did a perfect balance between puzzles, climbing and combat.     Uncharted 3 is not a bad game at all. The graphics are amazing for the system, the main cast is as charming as ever and the combat at it´s core is still quite fun. However the plot structure is a total mess, the ending feels rushed and the more open level design only makes the difficulty more cheap and unforgiving. Still, this is a pretty good game, though nowhere near as great as among thieves.

I absolutely love Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, top to bottom the game is everything you had in the first two titles and more. You want that skinny on Drake's background story? No problem want to beat up pirates and race across the globe against an ancient, super-secret organization hell bent exposing Sir Francis Drake's deception? You got it. The locales in the game are jobbing dropping stunning, the way the game transitions from cut scene to in game graphics is seamless and unlike any other console game on the market. Naughty Dog said they wanted to show improved water and fire effects, and they did. I can't get over how great the small things are, which adds to the overall experience. The mechanics are back but with a few tweaks, the aim is less wonky, still not superb, however, it does NOT hinder you. The guns have recoil thus you must take a bit more time in aiming. Fantastic voice acting returns and Uncharted solidifies why it's a head of it's class in that respect, every character; protagonist and antagonist add to the overall experience to the game making feel just that much more immersive and engaging. Action is still pulse-pounding, all this topped off with one of the greatest adventure stories in gaming. I don't give credit like that away often. If Uncharted 3 did surpass Uncharted 2, it sure as hell rivaled it.

    Co-op and Multiplayer is back, with Multiplayer being so much more improved, you get multiple map choices and game types a plethora of upgrades, perks, treasure etc. Naughty Dog threw in the kitchen sink. Co-Op is a bit of a head scratcher at times, it attempts to blends in story elements with out the story and it doesn't work. The Ai is also a bit weird at times, however, it's a small thing when you're enjoying the game with your friends.

    If you are not a real fan of gaming you won't like this game, if you are a fake PS3 fanboy or a fake gamer or you're just anti-Uncharted then you won't like this game. Don't play because I don't want to see yet another gratuitous, childish "review" like many I have seen on Metacritic. Is Uncharted 3 perfect? No, does that make it a bad game? Absolutely not.     I did not have as much fun as playing Uncharted 3 since Red Dead Redemption. This game is incredible, even better than UC2. Yes, it's short and not extremely innovative compared to the previous instalment, but these hours of game are so great that it's pure pleasure!

    Every bit as thrilling as its predecessors but a big step up in the visual department. I really enjoy the changes they made to the multiplayer as well, I'd like to play more of it if I could tear myself away from Battlefield 3... Probably a 9.5 in my eyes but since I can't give half scores it has to be a 10.

    First, the open beta was a really good experience. Now, the history is awesome, if you compare with Among Thieves yo can see the same line, the game is completrly addictive and once you try, you cant leave easy.
    The graphics are a beautiful experience and will bring the most amazing experience in Full HD.

Take the elevator down to the ball room and damn, the absoluetly best setting in gaming history. WOW. All I can say is WOW. Then the multiplayer, amazing. Sure I have played so many great games in my time but I really do think that this is up here as one of he greatest all around games. This is the game of the year in my book for sure.     Uncharted 3 falters in that it is so much like Uncharted 2 but far less interesting. The narrative has difficulty hooking the player. Additionally, the game flow isn't as smooth as I would have liked to see. Nonetheless, it's absolutely gorgeous, and has a few epic moments that actually go above and beyond what Uncharted 2 did.

To me, if any one of the 3 games were to be LONG and EPIC it should be the one that has the story that delves into Nathan Drake's (our HERO's) past and uses TE LAWRENCE as it's muse (that should have been used more and better to me). To breeze through the greatness of what's being told so quickly kind of did it a disservice to me. I wanted to know more about the incredible new characters Katherine Marlowe and Talbot. I wanted more drama and tension built between Nate, Sully, and Katherine. And I wanted more confrontations between Nate and Talbot. But what i DID get, was the most epically beautiful, poignant action adventure video game the world as ever seen. The game truly is a near cinematic masterpiece that you actually play instead of watch. Screw just Game of the Year, this might also be the Best Movie of the Year. It's that good.     Been playing games for the best part of 30 years and can still say that uncharted 3 is the best game I've ever played. Didn't expect it to be this good. I'd be very suspicious of negative reviews as this is an absolute dream game and all real gamers should give in a go.

    The game is good enough to get a 10/10 score. It achieves every thing that I expected from a Uncharted game. Its the highest grade PS3 game that you will fin any ware and the story follows the Uncharted formula perfectly. Nice job Naughty Dog.

    Easily a 10. Just beat it. The story beats anything that has been released this year. The graphics beat the crap out of Gears of War 3 which looked terrible (sad too cause I bought that at launch). The game play has been tweaked to add better melee and better gun play. Perfect game over all.

I have played Arkham City, Halo (all of them), Modern Warfare, Battlefield 3, and many more of the games that all fanboys say are great (Arkham City is actually a fantastic game), and they don't come near to the prowess that Naughty Dog displays in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

    The opening cut-scene of the game had me hooked 3 seconds into the game. Chapter 2 (I won't reveal what it is) is probably one of the most unique game experiences I've had as it switches up the gameplay and story-telling quite a bit. The Chateau levels were tons of fun as were many of the desert levels, especially the airstrip. Syria is a bit dry, but still very enjoyable. Finding all of the treasures in the game are also a pleasure and I am currently up to 86 out of the possible 100.

    Replay value is very high, especially with the game's actually incredibly fun and exhilarating multiplayer. I personally love the multiplayer (as I did Uncharted 2's) simply because it is unique, well put-together, and great fun. All of the FPS fanboys (those who are in love with Call of Duty and Halo) will probably hate it and hate ON it, but for your sake, don't listen to them. This is one of the reasons I am writing this review--because I hate those who don't give games that they aren't accustomed to a fair shake. Co-op is ridiculously fun, especially when playing with friends. LAN and split screen capabilities add the the game's already exceptional set of possibilities.

    Is this game truly a 10? Maybe more like a 9.8 because there are some issues with it, but I'm giving it a ten so as to help counter-act all of the fanboy reviews on this site. I do hate to reduce works of creation and art to numerical values, but that's what society seems to like. If I gave honest reviews of Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War--they would be getting no higher than 85's.    … Expand

    This is honestly one of the greatest games I have ever played. Better than UC2. The set piece, story, and graphics are so much better.

    I love the soundtrack that plays while you ride through the experience of UC3 SP. MP is fast paced and addicting.

    Can't wait for Uncharted 4.

    Uncharted 3 has wonderful graphics, I also like the camera views of the game, makes it look just like a movie. The hand to hand combat is great too. The campaign has a great story and is very long too. The multiplayer is wonderful, you can customize your own person, there are many maps in it. This is truly one of the best games.

    I would say play 1 and 2 before this but don't matter to much if not. At least play the 2nd uncharted.
    Thing is so many love to hate but in the end, uncharted is an experience not experienced anywhere else.
    Naughty dog are just masters and looking at the next title the last of us, expect more awesome interactive movie like experiences.

This is a story driven game and because of that some people will tend to feel like they have little choice in th overall game, but the way I see it is that it is like a great action movie, who would want to change it? The problem comes with portions of the plot that are hackneyed to jerk at the player's emotions specifically in the last level. Yet despite these minor niggles and feeling Uncharted 3 lagged something, I still think this is one hell of a game that astounds and amazes throughout and which will have you coming back for more!     GREATEST GAME EVER MADE. i want to write another review about this game and just say that you owe it to yourself to check this out, im deep into multiplayer now and it actually has gotten better when i didn't think it could. drakes adventure is nothing short of an absolute blast, you can get lost very easily into the humor, the charm and the story

    AMAZING GAME! I was skeptical at first to purchase the game and now I'm glad that I did! Epic story, Awesome Gameplay and Graphics, Very fun and addicting multiplayer, and tons of replay value!
    This is probably the best 60 dollars I've ever spent!

    The characterisations by the actors is second to none and even though this tall-tale takes you to fantastical places and events, the script is never once unbelievable. You never feel like an outsider. If anything, you'll feel right at home, ensconced in the constant drama of this loveable cast of returning reprobates and reprehensible villains. [Dec 2011, p60]
