Tornado Outbreak

It's cute enough, but this Katamari clone won't blow you away.

Tornado Outbreak is fun, simple and one helluva ride.

Tornado Outbreak is a fun, unique romp that will intrigue just about any gamer. The quirky story remains entertaining enough to keep you occupied, while the simplistic gameplay will keep you interested throughout its duration. The short campaign is probably my biggest concern, but with the ability to go back through older levels with your new powers is a definite bonus.

Each level follows the exact same progression path, and this dull repetition ultimately makes what could have been a great tornado game nothing more than a funnel cloud.

As a game experience, it is an interesting product which distinguishes itself from other better-selling videogames, but its main shortcoming is its short durability.

With its simple Katamari Damacy-like game mechanics and cartoon-like visual style, Tornado Outbreak manages to entertain despite a relatively short campaign and underwhelming graphics.

Instead of making an entire retail version of this game, it would have perhaps been better to bring out the game as an arcade title. However Tornado Outbreak did surprise us, and therefore it deserves a nice mark.

It came as a surprise to us, but we really enjoyed playing this game. Although the graphics reminds us of the PS2 era, the gameplay is quite fun. It’s a bit like Katamari, but with a windy touch to it.
