I really don't know where some people get their review facts from. Splinter Cell DA is the SAME as the 360 version. I had no experience of slowdown or stuttering and it plays and looks as good as the Xbox version.

Argh! The gaming media is dumb enough to drive any PS3 owner to an early grave. IGN gives it a 7.9 and the 360 a 9.0 so everyone is yapping about another bad port for the PS3. Rejoice PS3 owners, they are full of crap. I played both versions and they are practically IDENTICAL. Any issues with clipping and weird glitches were on the 360 version with the added benefit that it would CRASH Argh! The gaming media is dumb enough to drive any PS3 owner to an early grave. Any issues with clipping and weird glitches were on the 360 version with the added benefit that it would CRASH once in awhile when accessing your wrist computer. Full on game wrecking crash. Aside from that (the PS3 version has yet to crash once) there are no noticeable differences. As for IGN, the articles were written by TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. The guy writing for the 360 LOVES the Splinter Cell franchise... the guy for the PS3 is less of a fan. He complains about bad AI and bad multilayer which are THE SAME in both versions. Most fanboys are too dumb to realize this, and so vocal that I thought I had better point it out. PS3 owners seem to be a little more mature, a little more savvy and thus I'm hoping won't despair and avoid picking up this excellent title. I'm loving playing Splinter Cell, to the extent I have even shelved MotorStorm and Oblivion (for now). Expand

Definitely not as bad as some of the reviews say (if you can find any reviews...lol), but it does have a few occasional "clipping" issues when Sam is cutting cables. As for the alleged framerate issue, there is NO framerate issue (yet another imaginary attack on the PS3, I suppose). The bottom-line is that if you enjoyed any of the PS2 installments of this franchise, you'll enjoy Definitely not as bad as some of the reviews say (if you can find any reviews...lol), but it does have a few occasional "clipping" issues when Sam is cutting cables. But Ubisoft didn't go to great lengths to make it any better than the 360 version (with the exception of some extra online content). And why they changed the online mode I will never know -- Seriously, Ubi, what were you thinking! Expand

How many games offer moral choices? Double Agent tries this premise and executes it perfectly. I wish more games were like this. The next game in the Splinter Cell series takes another direction. Don't miss an opportunity to play this unique and thrilling game. I played it on the 360 and it's the same game on the PS3. The graphics are just as good as the 360 version. A premiere stealth game, but it has lost some of that old charm that made its predecessors so appealing. [Apr 2007, p.129]

Although I think some glitches and a weak multiplayer mode keeps the title from being an impressive $60 purchase, a solid story, good visuals and awesome gameplay mechanics have me recommending Double Agent to lock-picking fans of the genre.
  3. It's not the easiest game for newcomers to approach (the tutorial's dreadful), but even stealth virgins will see the light after an hour or so in the dark, and probably ought to add another mark to the score. Make ours a double.
