The game was ruined by it's unrealistic controls, and it's gameplay. Everything needs fixed in this game, especially the missions. Timed? No, I just can't go for that. Conviction is a way better game than this game. I'm sorry to say, but I really do not recommend this for anyone. It lacks nearly everything possible for interest. Save your money guys. Not recommended at all. Expand

Classic - Port a PS2 game title. Unacceptable load times, horrible front End. Lack luster game. This is a Rental Only Title.

Not good. They ruined it. The base missions are all timed which ruins it, the way you have to balance the factions is terrible, and basically boils down to one mission for the goos guys, one for the bad. And why did they get rid of the light meter. Before you had to judge how safe you were in the shadows, now theres a little light and you're eiyjer invisible or not!!

Let me just say, I played the original Splinter Cell and Conviction before this. They were both sooooo much better than this rubbish. Seriously, how do they expect you to find your way around in this game? The 3D maps are useless, and there is no way of telling where you are meant to be going, not even which direction. If you're going to make stealth so hard then implement controls that allow for easier shooting. Honestly it's so hard to aim your controller may as well be upside-down. The time limits on the missions are another problem. I completed the assault course in the terrorist base five minutes under the time limit. he objective was to report back to some guy. So I went to find him. He was in a restricted area that I DIED if I went into. So I had to wait five minutes for him to get back to the assault course, and guess what his advice was? "Next time try to be quicker." The game was BUGGED so I could not complete the course ahead of time. This is yet another example of a developer releasing a game before it is finished just because of fan pressure. STOP DOING THIS! Now I am off the play The Last of Us, a FINISHED stealth game. Expand

In this game, the problem with the frame rate, 20 fps too little and he always jumps. Many glitches with the character animation (sewn their mouths npc) and much more. No one is willing to play it, much less buy

Interesting presentation of gameplay, atmosphere, tension and a real stealth! It does not turn into a shooting range, this game of skill, strategy, flexibility of thinking and speed of decision-making. Very cool experience, the same "horror on the wings of night" for those who stand in the way. A lot of quality ideas and actions, and works as it should! I regret that long postponed, but could get acquainted with the version for PS3, and immediately it became clear why hitherto I have not heard about this port.. It is very bad, constant drawdown, the frame around 20, graphics close to the PS2 textures.. Probably was really difficult under the new console to create games, but how it passed quality control I will never be clear. I'll try it on PS2, but the game is really so covers that even in this capacity I stuck for a while. Expand

A premiere stealth game, but it has lost some of that old charm that made its predecessors so appealing. [Apr 2007, p.129]

Although I think some glitches and a weak multiplayer mode keeps the title from being an impressive $60 purchase, a solid story, good visuals and awesome gameplay mechanics have me recommending Double Agent to lock-picking fans of the genre.
  3. It's not the easiest game for newcomers to approach (the tutorial's dreadful), but even stealth virgins will see the light after an hour or so in the dark, and probably ought to add another mark to the score. Make ours a double.
