Jun 27, 2014Tales of Symphonia Chronicles includes the PlayStation 2 port of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. With new costumes and new 3D graphics, the story seems so nostalgic.
-
Mar 26, 2014Recommended for RPG fans that missed Tales of Symphonia the first time around.

CD-ActionJun 28, 2014After all these years Myst is still a masterpiece, a brilliant game that deserves acclaim. [05/2014, p.73]

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaMar 18, 2014A pretty spesh experience that asks a lot of your time and, yeah, sometimes your patience, too. [April 2014, p79]

Mar 7, 2014Symphonia is a great reminder of how Tales has hit such impressive highs in the past, and although the decision to port the technically inferior PS2 version leads to framerate gripes, this is perhaps the best version of Lloyd Irving and co that you are going to get without dragging your Gamecube out of the loft.

Mar 4, 2014Tales of Symphonia deserves your attention. If you can stomach JRPGs at all, you owe it to yourself to check it out. The biggest disappointment in this compilation is the sequel, so we recommend picking up the first game cheaper from the PlayStation Store.

Feb 28, 2014The high-definition visuals are hit and miss, but the engaging combat and tried and true character customization continues to satisfy, concluding that the Tales of Symphonia series can withstand the test of time.

Feb 24, 2014It's a shame that Namco-Bandai didn't decide to pair Symphonia with a Tales game much more worthy of the re-release treatment, because Tales of the New World is disposable at best. But if you still want to play one of the best installments of the series, and don't feel like digging out old hardware, Chronicles could be an ideal opportunity to revisit Tales' finest hour.
-
Apr 14, 2014Tales of Symphonia is a solid, old-school Japanese role-playing game that I'm glad to have been exposed to. But that doesn't make Namco's sparse anniversary package less disappointing.

games(TM)May 2, 2014For those who haven't played a Tales game before, we'd suggest there are better options out there. [Issue#147, p.118]
